Scammers, always take never give! Shameful!

Rope a dope should have been called bait and switch. Do better Scopely.

I'm disappointed here on multiple levels. I'll try to keep it on point...
1. The inaccuracies on the blog, constantly, have become a joke to the community which is your player base. Subject to change should be a last resort out not an expectation.
2. The poor CC's who are trotted out there to try and help drive traffic to your official twitch channel, who then read the information THAT YOU PROVIDE, to help get info out to the players who then take it back to their factions to help plan how to best achieve goals. Then things go live and they are the ones left to face an annoyed to angry player base with zero real communication from anyone. Classy way to treat your forward-facing folks.
3. You have a license like Muhammad Ali in the game. People LOVE him. People are excited for him. People wanted to give you money for his gear as a group. Plans were made based off information given by Scopely as a company and then the rug got yanked out again to the tune of 12.5x more expectation. Now people who were excited and willing to spend are no longer going to do so. As a company who understandably has to make money, it would be far more beneficial to you to provide accurate information. I promise that a happy customer who actually feels valued will spend more then someone who feels like they've been screwed, again.

I am very dissapointed
This is intentional from the beginning
the usual scopely trick. scammer at best.

They did watch it. They could tell by the excitement that this was too good to be true so they bent us all over for good measure.

Y'know....I was checking in on the team discord while at work today a little before reset. People talking about the event and all that. There was always an air of skepticism about the 2m max being accurate, and someone joked "They probably forgot a zero."
And yet, even THAT was underrating this bait and switch. It'd be one thing to mean 20m, but to go from a displayed 2m to TWENTY FIVE is just downright shameful. Like has been mentioned, this entire MLC has just been a comedy of errors. The integrity and guidance of blogs is completely nonexistent. Everything always costs more than what we think, and it's just downright disgusting.
Heck, even looking at the game and blog now, "Get over 7.5m points in the Greatest Tour" but the tour section of the blog shows 16,500,000. What kind of discrepancy is that? Is the 16.5 a sneaky edit and people are gonna get bombarded with solo points tomorrow to make up for this disaster of a faction event?
I already almost couldn't believe my faction mate who mentioned Ali was the weeklong event Sunday night at the end of the boss grind, and yet somehow this whole event still doesn't seem real. At least not run by a competent company.
Honestly, if no one is gonna proofread blogs and have them be even remotely accurate - just stop doing it. At least then your player base can stop feeling like they're getting the rug pulled out from under them time and time and time and time again.

I understand blog is always subject to change but a 1150% increase in the total milestone for the faction event is a slap in the face to the players and shows how money hungry you are. It’s unrealistic to expect for equality purposes each faction member to spend 228$ just to max the event. There is no data anywhere showing players would be willing to do that even in the highest spending faction. Unrealistic and underwhelming compared to the excitement the blog brought.

That's an unfortunate situation we can't accept this kind of Big Change in last milestone 2M to 25M is really annoying

All these issues event after event & we keep throwing money at it expecting it to change for the better and after what 5-6yrs now we should know that's not gonna happen & as long as the $$ keeps coming there's no need to fix anything.
All because of FOMO

Soooooo gonna continue with the radio silence, Scopely? You have a very pissed off playerbase right now, "subject to change" does not cover this. Seriously, where is the proofreading? Where is the quality control? I work in a small-town supermarket and we have better quality control systems in place than your billion dollar company does. This is atrocious and you need to spend some of the money we give you to buy mirrors for your offices so you can take a goddamn look at yourself.
Do better. For fucks sake, do better.

G'day Scopely,
125 pulls per faction member. Think about it. About $240 US. About $360 CDN. Do you really believe there is anything in your game worth this kind of money? That's nearly a car payment, or half your mortgage, or the cost to feed a family for a week. This isn't once and done. This is the Scopely expectation of their player base twice per week, every week.
Good luck in your future endeavors.

Came here for an official response from a Mod but it seems like no one has the balls or want to deal with this at all.
Time to find a new game and i hope a lot follow suit!

Quit spending period and hurt them Where it counts....... in the pocket...if every one would quit spending 90 days and protest the outrageous amount of money it cost every week to stay relevant ....
Go buy a ps5 game for 60$ play it for a month and Maybe we would actually get something instead of 33 jey uses on a 40 pull

You take the event that a lot of folks were happy with in the Rocky event and turn it into a spend event that does nothing for your player base.
As is for every event you have to pay to get anyone new. I don’t remember the last time I got more than just the monthly chase. I also understand you get what you grind for too. For me it’s a life balance and even know I still spend a lot of time on the game I refuse to miss out on RL.
I will not make this a bash session but will say this. Thanks for making my decision easy for me. I will continue to play with a very controlled spending. For those that choose to use their hard earned money on this game and gain more then I, “cheers.” But at some point as good as I feel my roster is, is gonna fall off. When that happens, we’ll….you’ve already helped to make that decision.
You have a great thing here with an even better player community!!! Too bad YOUR GREED rules this game.

Hey making changes I’m okay with…the execution and timing of which you guys choose to do it is more of the issue…there was ample amount of time to make whatever changes were needed to give us a fair chance at planning our route to acquire the things we wanted…individually and as a faction…but that was took away 3 days after the blog was released…and after the faction event went live. The community is being handicapped when you take our planning away…or do away with it with the STC. Most of us don’t want issues and bugs to happen in the game…we just want the information that we obtain and see to be true…plain and simple!!! When rules and stipulations are being changed, when money is involved…and for some in this case money already spent, which derails the plans established by what was provided by you guys…it makes a sticky situation and people frustrated.

I’m ok with subject to change being a small change but the fact that it was made 12.5x harder is basically the biggest money grab ever. Ridiculous people

This event has me disappointed on another level. I completely understand the need to have spend events and milestones in events that require spending to achieve. I get that it is a business and you need people to buy stuff.
In my case- I was willing to spend some money to help my faction max this event. When the event launched and the target had moved so drastically, I made the decision not to spend anything.
There have been a lot of QC issues with this game lately. Actually, if I’m being completely honest- there have always been a lot QC problems with this game But the recent ones are really bad.
While this event has a monumental shift in the targets to max, at least it was changed sometime previous to the launch of the event. It should have been posted correctly from the start.

So the Blog has now been corrected and reads 25,000,000 and yet we have heard nothing back from anyone about the disruptions and anger it has caused. Shown your hand now, that's just proved how much you value money over customer satisfaction! $312.50 per person in each faction to Max the event is a piss poor decision for what? Starting MP for a new poster. Who is responsible for thinking those values are fair and just towards players in general whether they spend or not.
This a huge blunder whoever came up with this idea and it's backed up with the comedy of errors we have had to endure over the last few weeks.
With the exception of the KOK pass, I will not part with a single penny until I see some improvements to Quality Control in this game and actually thinking about the community that supports this platform rather than profit margins. Remember, without this community the game would cease to exist and once people walk away and vote with their feet, it's not so easy to get them back!
1 -
Would you look at that...... The blog was updated to 25 million now 48 hours+ AFTER the blog was launched and the faction event went live yet somehow it doesn't say "Updated 8/3".
I wonder why?
2 -
The way I have seen lately there have been a lot of issues, especially with event mess-ups, and this has actually topped it off, you can't just change a 25 pull per person to a 125 pull that doesn't even make sense unless you really thought you could sucker people into doing it, which actually backfired on yourselves...
This has not only made a couple of people angry but the entire community angry at you guys for what you have done.
SORT IT OUT!!!!

Quality is necessary before quantity!!!
Subject to change should not be option after the blog post

I'm really disappointed in the lack of response from Scopley on this thread.
Firpo, you REALLY need to make a statement here. This is not ok.

"Subject to Change" is not a "Get out of jail free" card. If you're going to put zero effort into ensuring the blog is accurate, don't bother. By leaving incorrect information in that blog for multiple days, you lied to and misled your customers, and tricked them into spending. You'll be lucky if you don't get sued eventually.
I can assure you that I won't watch any more blog streams or pay attention to blogs from now on. Chaos and untruths are a waste of time and I won't do it anymore. And for the record, you lost every cent I planned to spend this week.
3 -
And not a word from $copely or the mod team...how unsurprising

I very much understand subject to change where a CSS character changed or something. But expecting factions to go from 10 pulls per person to 125 per person, when the loot itself is garage, is asinine. Each team member should spend $300 in order for the gear to be acquired. Come on folks.

Stop rushing out a blog so that the CC can read it on Thursday night. You put them in a bad spot because people take it out on them. Get the blog right and release it when it a complete project, or stop doing the blogs.

If it's important from the Champions team's perspective to communicate to spending players what to expect in a weeklong or weekend event, accuracy is a requirement, not an option. And accountability for inaccuracy is an expectation.
If that is not a priority, I would recommend greatly scaling back the blog posts. Everyone goes in blind, sure, but no one feels deceived.
We want to play in your sandbox, so we follow your rules. But if you change the sand to shards of glass, don't be surprised if we get upset.

Hey everyone.
I honestly think because everyone has been lied to,
My spending was subject to change too.
They cant keep getting away with this and the radio silence from everyone involved in scopely is terrible.
