Quality Control on Blog Posts

Gonna keep this short and sweet.
Subject to change needs to be a last resort not an expectation of an incorrect blog.
Community members make decisions based on information that is provided the excuse that we hear "Well would you prefer a half correct blog or no blog at all" is not a valid line to hide behind for a multi billion pound company. We need to start holding Scopely accountable as this it not an unreasonable request.
People have spend alot of money so far this even for M Ali with the expectation that the gear was available at a decent cost in this faction event and its changed now from a 2m max milestone to 25m.
I hope the community as a whole can get behind this as it is unacceptable for both spenders and non spenders to be reliant on such drastic changes.
Quality Control is not a desire its a necessity! FSD

Amen. Is no one responsible for comparing the code numbers to the blog post BEFORE you make anything live? Or communicating what the numbers should be? Complete turnoff and will not be spending at all now.
17 -
What is the point of blogs? Please do not make "subject to change" a regular occurrence. It is an exception, not a rule.
9 -
I'm right there with you... For subject to change expect small contest tweaks or maybe a css change not an event being 12.5x harder then was listed... It isn't even in the same stratosphere as what was expected. This kind of stuff IMO is totally out of touch with reality and is 100% unacceptable.
Legit Stuff like this makes me as a CC really not want to read a blog...

From 10 pulls to 125 per faction member....crazy.
Majority of people that would even be doing these pulls, would also probably only benefit from the gear, most of the other cards are trash..so not even enticing to do them in the 1st place in all honesty, especially not 125!

We have planned Already what to do but Then Blog was wrong. Huge increase in last milestone 2M to 25M isn't Acceptable
Please try not to do it again its Hurts a lot players
2 -
It’s absurd that the blog posted max went up by 12.5X. Completely agree with the above posts. Again, it’s like Dopely doesn’t care about its community just the all mighty dollar. It’s so apparent it’s insane. Makes me wanna quit completely
3 -
Amen!!! A simple proofread of every blog to make sure we aren’t wasting money to pull a character that we have a chance at getting the gear because it seemed reasonable at the time. Let’s all take a stand and not spend on this event and the next event.

Bruh…
yet another reason to add commas to the game cuz clearly mistakes were made.
would rather have a blog with no numbers than these kind of errors.
its like someone watched the CC’s and thought “this gear is worth more than we thought”
6 -
As other people already wrote all the important things about blog and pointed out the incorrect blog events etc I want to address the rope a dope faction contest rewards if we remove the gear from there there that contest is absolutely TRASH PURE TRASH the rewards there are for like beginners Do scopely really think and expect people to pay 22.7k dollars for some mid gear for Mid character like Ali the greatest word should be removed from his character cause we all know it's mid and please tell them to improve faction contest whose only way to get points is through loot pulls cause the rewards recently are pure trash!

Quality control is lacking not only on a blog post but in all areas of the game.
Only this MLC we had a $20 offer going live with 40 loot coins, then an offer with 25,000 Santa Hogan chests instead of PW coins, followed by the web market requiring web coins instead of rubies and now a blog post that goes from 2M to 25M when all faction had already made plans to max.
I myself spend on the game, just like many others, the least we could expect is a game with enough quality that we wouldn't be seeing an issue pretty much every week. I know mistakes can happen but right now it's a little out of control.

This is absurd and a really really bad business move on your part. I spent money when I usually don't, just to try and help my faction only to get the rug pulled out from beneath me. I will be seriously considering deleting this game from all of my devices.
2 -
It does get very tiresome that there are constant mistakes and errors. If your customers can't trust you, then why should they stay loyal to you?
5 -
I stopped reading the blog a long time ago because hardly ever what is shown on the blog ends up in the game ....todays event just another example of this..The Blog is useless
2 -
Just here to parrot what others are saying. These "changes" are just not acceptable. Maybe if you honor what you post, and have CCs read, the mistakes would stop.
This is no longer a subject to change, it's a when it does change how badly will it screw all of the players plans. Not a good look, yet again.

a wee bit annoying

So i find this disappointing, disgusting and unacceptable. The sad part is I expected this.

10 pulls seemed way too good to be true. But I wouldn’t have expected it to be 12.5 times too good to be true. As it stands, I contributed $40 to an event that I wish I hadn’t, and I know the mods and CMs will use the “subject to change” line to try and smooth things over.
As has been previously stated, “subject to change” should be for minor point adjustments, CSS changes, event tweaks. It shouldn’t be used to completely fundamentally change the event itself. If we go into the feud event this weekend thinking 50mil is the Warscore max, but it turns out to be 625mil, is that fair? Not even slightly, AND THAT’S A FREE EVENT!
This change completely missed the mark, one of the biggest errors in judgement I’ve ever seen in all my years as a gamer. This wasn’t even just a really bad loot (PS- it isn’t good at all, but that’s a different story), this was just a really scummy tactic and a really bad decision.
Do better.

10 pulls to each to max.. hell even if you made it 20 pulls each people would have done it, but going to 125 is just unbelievable really, constant screw ups all MLC and it’s pretty much every MLC we all ask what’s screwed up this time. Spend some actual time on making sure these events go live correctly instead of being absolutely greedy
3 -
We continue as a community to be the ones who suffer time after time. From their continuous mistakes. Wouldn't be allowed in another setting.
5 -
I of course agree with everyone else here on this post. What we see in the blogs should be exactly what we see in game. It almost feels like there was a bait and switch to get people to spend in the first half of the contest only to blindsided by an absurd amount of spending for Ali's gear. This is just wrong. Something should be done to fix this and prevent it from happening so frequently in the future.
WE EXPECT BETTER. ♥
2 -
Just because the event is called rope a dope. Doesnt mean you can treat us like Dopes. Be better than that.
2 -
guess there will be alot of refunds for those that needlessly spent
2 -
Yeah it is completely bs that the event is changed to this degree and the rewards are definitely not worth the nearly 23 grand it takes to max not counting points in the purchase packages.
2 -
Let me compare this. As an employee your paycheck is subject to change. Simple have an outside eye review things. 12,500 loot pulls to max is excessive. That $25000 or more per faction.
We have no idea what is up what is down and get stuff rammed down our throat. It makes it hard to have fun.
1 -
I didn't spend 1st 2 days because I was saving for the faction event.. now I am so demoralized I don't even know if I want to spend as their isn't a chance in hell any faction is gonna max..
It's like that old saying if it walks like a duck..
This is definitely a duck

before anything goes live, be it a blog or an event, it should not be expecting too much to think that the blog has at least been proofread to make sure that basic numbers (the whole reason for the blog) are correct. Factions make plans based off the numbers being at least close to accurate, not like this where you have such a huge variance from what was posted in your blog. This month has not been a good look from a simple Quality control aspect.
5 -
This is beyond ridiculous. Do not hide behind the weak "Subjest To Change" garbage. This is just plain uncalled for. The 25 million would be horrible even if it was in blog, but having the surprise jump from 2 to 25 is absurd!!!
And like others have noted, the loot isn't worth 10 pulls let alone 125.
You need to fix this, and be more reasonable. We all need to live too, while trying to support your game like we have for so many years.
5 -
That is a drastic change. If a blog is not finished or rushed just delay it. Instead of getting people's hope up only to burn it all down. I feel sorry for those that spent and are just now realizing it will go for not. I don't see any faction maxing this. Ridiculous. But I've heard it before not every event/contest is meant to be maxed.
5 -
Was planning to spend a bit and help the faction. I guess my spending decisions are also now subject to change.
6 -
And this is exactly why I have gone to spending only when I'm guaranteed a new character. I do every event get what I can and move on. Later down the road I'm short shards for a character and the amount if shards for sale will let me recruit said character for little money, then yes I will. I no longer do pulls I just do the event and move on. This is just one of thr reasons I've adopted this policy.
