Missing HOF Bret shards

Now this is an appropriate response. Thank you JD. Tell your boy Stagger to sit this one out.

Attacking Mods isn't going to help. You can be dissatisfied with the event without taking shots at people...

What a mess! Same as all players this weekend I was excited to finally have a shot at a top-tier character and have been looking forward to it all weekend. However, tours are released today and have been shafted on the shards like all of the community. Same old sh*t

100% agreed. If you guys say that this will be in there, so be it. "Oh, a lot of people will get him feely". It's your own fault scopely. Next time, don't drop the ball. Simple as that. But, once you promise something, deliver it. That's fair to your community!

I agree with this completely. I wouldn't have stayed up all night feuding if I knew the shards wouldn't have been in the tours. Very bait and switch of you guys

Scopely screwed The community. Their reason is “always subject to change”
I give this event a grade F. For failure. Between this and the feud health glitch scopely slowed players from playing anyways.

This is frustrating at any time. But to have this at the end of an MLC like HOF, and right before the 5 year anniversary of the game makes me feel worse.

This is a pretty bad mistake/oversight. Lots of people grinded those 40 million war score points to get the shards, counting on the tour shards to put them over the top. If I knew those shards were not going to be in the tour, I wouldn't have feuded so much, so in essence my time has been wasted.
Do the right thing and give out the shards. If that results in a bunch of people getting Brett Hart, whatever, chalk it up as a learning experience and move on. But if nothing is done, I'll be the one to take this as a learning experience and never trust what a blog says ever again (and my wallet and playtime will reflect this)

This is extremely disappointing at a time when interest in the game is begining to drop among players who have been playing for a long time.. Convince us to continue by doing the right thing.

I am stuck on 1100 shards having completed all the tasks other than huge spending, having spent on pulls daily to get the points needed for milestones. Please put this right.
1 -
They should give everyone 375 shards as compensation for this mistake.
8 -
The amounts listed in bags
3 Silver (150)
9 Bronze (225)
Does equal 375. I assume this explains the issue. But there was a plan to give those shards

This event is a big disappointment.

Your blog came out on Thursday. It's the only resource players have to plan their weekend time and spending in order to achieve what they want in this game. These people planned a large part of their weekend around how to feud and spend to get HOF Bret Hart based on that blog.
That same blog lists the exact same tour rewards today after the end of the flash feuds on Sunday. After all that time and money was spent by your player base, your players were shocked and dismayed to find out that the rewards found in the Sunday tour are significantly less than what is still listed in that blog, by 375 fewer HOF Bret Hart shards. Your response when players called it out was to say "the blog is always subject to change". Quite frankly, that's an unacceptable response. To have that blog be so drastically different than what you now say was your intent, is a bit of a smack in the face to your loyal player base.
Your word is your bond. No company can build a good reputation without delivering what they promise. You can't place the finish line of a race in one spot, then move it a mile down the road when the racers get close. This situation is wrong, and you know it. You need to do the right thing and provide those rewards to anyone that earns them based on the blog. I look forward to hearing soon that this issue was resolved the right way.

that’s what they do. They are quick to take away a glitch such as 100,000 tp to someone. When it’s character shards, they will turn and lie.

I don't have anything to say that hasn't already been said. Hope that this is resolved

Blog errors this frequently and of such large scope after years of doing this is pretty shameful. But let's talk about another failsafe that's in place. Scopley shoves the content creators down our throats. So much so that we even get spammed with in game messages now. How and why is it that Scopley is not paying any attention to what those creators are saying? They look over the blog for you (double check YOUR information). It was made very clear by the content creators how to get Bret this weekend. So if the blog was wrong, there was plenty of time to fix it, rather than ignoring the false information YOU released and letting this disaster unfold.
If Scopley does not send 375 shards to every player, every single time we see HOF Bret in game, in tours, in pulls, in our "unowned" section of our roster, every conversation online everywhere (forums, Discord, Youtube, Twitch, Facebook, Twitter, etc.) it will be an incredibly strong reminder that Scopley cannot be trusted. HOF Bret will be a huge black eye for Scopley from this point forward. How much is that bad publicity and damage to the Scopley brand and to the customer base worth? 375 shards seems like a paltry amount to keep that black eye out of the game, because that black eye causes resentment, animosity, anger, etc, and reminds all players not to ever trust what you say.
"Subject to change" has become synonymous with the Scopley name and brand. It's a running joke nowadays, as any player will tell you. A smart company would have made sure years ago that they didn't develop that embarrassing reputation. I would suggest attempting to get the Scopley brand on the right track by sending out the 375 shards, and then doing everything in your power to prevent ever having to hide behind the embarrassing excuse of "subject to change" ever again.

Par for the course. Don't expect anything but the crappy player appreciation bags and a we're sorry.

Faction Leaders and Content creators passed on the blog information to their faction and listeners in good faith based on the published information and people planned their event accordingly expecting the information shared to be correct. Unfortunately none of us knew the information was incorrect until after it was already to late to do anything about it or adjust how we played the event.
This is not a fault of the players, factions, leaders, or content creators when the information we were provided did not present in game as we were told and this greatly affects the way this event and treatment of the community is viewed.
Please do what is right and honor what was posted in the blog to help make this right.

Most of the things I want to say are already said. It’s just ridiculous.
subject to change can happen if a SMALL thing changes but this wasn’t a small thing the just let a BIG part out of the game just to fuck us all.
and as usual we only can bent over and wait when they F*ck us and say thank you.

»subject to change » is not a valid argument by anyone trying to defend this. The blog has been up since Thursday. Scopley had ample time to make the change before it went live. The change does not happen during an event for subject to change.
scopley also promotes the content creators now and all of them mentioned the blog over and over and how this was a great event. They had to have been aware the community knew Bret was attainable. Weird if they were not o fix this error and make those shards available.

I dont even read the blog anymore. What's the point? They take no responsibility for incorrect information.

Really disappointing outcome for the event. There’s already so much that’s put out of reach for smaller players and moving the goalposts definitely sucks.

There's the proof... https://wwechampions.scopely.com/2022/01/27/hitmans-spectacular/ .. until now, it's the same stuff.. 12 bags AND 375 shards.. AAAAAAAAND 375 shards.. So, Scopely, at least once, do the right thing and give to us the missing shards, and not that 5 crappy gifts and the commom text saying "yeah, we're sorry to drop the ball to you guys.. take that token appreciation to be happy". Please Scopely.. at least once.. HEAR YOUR COMMUNITY and do the right thing.. ty very much
