Web Portal version is unplayable

What exactly is not working?
The web portal version of the game, in its entirety.
The loading phase freezes my browser (Chrome), which eventually tells me that the web app has stopped working and asks me if I want to kill it or wait. If I hit "wait", after 30 seconds or so eventually it would actually start up.
Once loading is complete and I am entering the main menu screen, everything is stuttering extremely. It takes a while for the advertised superstar model (currently Snoop Dogg) to display, and the whole UI builds up very slowly. It also reacts very slowly if I click on anything.
Even though I definitely am in a faction, the app claims I'm not and offers me to find and join a team. It also locks me out of the faction event milestones. (I know that I'm still in the faction because this does not happen in the mobile app.)
Then of course, there's the infamous "out of memory" problem that I already posted about and that's been getting worse and worse in the past month, making it impossible to play for over 10 minutes, even when not entering any actual matches.
All in all the web version is pretty much unplayable right now. Sadly, so is the mobile version since the last update, but that is a different issue.

Everywhere.
What are the steps to reproduce it?
Load up the game through the web portal.
When or since when did it happen?
For about a week now, since the new Snoop Dogg MLC has started.
The web portal version has been working perfectly fine until early July.
Throughout July, the "out of memory" problem would get worse and worse, making it impossible to play for longer than maybe 10 minutes. Since the new MLC started, the web version is completely unusable.

What device are you playing on?
HP gaming notebook with AMD Ryzen 7, 16 GB of RAM, GeForce GTX 1160 Ti.
Which OS and game version?
Windows 10 x64, web version running in the latest version of Chrome (92.0.4515.107).

What have you tried so far to fix it on your side?
I made sure my internet connection is stable at 100Mbps download and 8Mbps upload speed. It's perfectly fine. My desktop is not stressed (CPU, RAM), this happens if there are no other applications running other than my browser.
I did try clearing the browser cache, but it did not help.
Any Screenshots or videos of the issue that help us to understand it better?

OK, to the devs, and for anybody running into this: WWE Champions still runs great in Microsoft Edge of all browsers. No slowdowns, no out of memories in over 30 minutes. It's a bit strange because in Chrome, the game really wouldn't run at all, and Edge uses the same engine as far as I know.
EDIT: Froze after about 40 minutes, but still, that's a lot more stable.
