Acrobats Dodging Gem Damage From Moves

I don't ever recall seeing this happen prior to update 0.490, however whenever I use a move to create gems (i.e. using Hogan's black move 2 to create red gems) the acrobat opponent ends up dodging the gem damage. This has happened several times during the feud on the opponent's side but never on my side.

Unless I misunderstood, my understanding is that acrobats only can dodge gem damage on gems swiped, not moves that create gems.

Please review and advise.
