STEEL CAGE RULES AND STIP TOURS

II understand this being used as a trial period for a new concept, but making the final week of the MLC the trial week is really bad timing.
We, as players, put a lot of time and money into each MLC with certain goals in mind to enhance our rosters and Improve gameplay. This all culminates with final weekend's flash feud, where we are able to put to use the results of an entire month of hard work.
Unfortunately, so much Of that hard work will go unrewarded. For example, by not being able to use skill plates:
-Those who spent all month pursuing Tama Tonga won't be able to utilize him to his full potential
-Those who spent all month pursuing Jacob Fatu won't be able to utilize him to his full potential
-Those who spent all month pursuing Solo Sikoa won't be able to utilize him to his full potential
-Those who spent all month working to max the solo contest to get the Piper plate will not be able to utilize it at all
-Those who spent money in week 2 to get the Tama Tonga plate will not be able to utilize it at all.
It is just a huge letdown that we spend all month in pursuit of some of these things, only to have them rendered unusable or restricted. Honestly, feud is the one time when we should be able to unleash the full scope of our roster, not have it limited.
II know you would like for us to play the event and provide feedback afterward, but we are calling this out now, because from our perspective, this is, and will be, a problem. Doing something about this now will prevent you guys receiving 200 messages after the event telling you the exact same thing.
it's just a bad idea, and even players who have been enjoying the challenge of the midweek showdown don't like seeing this used in feud.

Hello KAKTIS here.
I like the attempt at creativity in making something fresh. But no. We work so hard to earn our plates and find the right strap, then to have our toys taken away. This isnt it. I would rather you guys bring back invasion. If this is something we have to deal with, why chase plates and belts. The purpose of adding belts and plates was to make it more fun and interesting right?
Why would you want to add something to the game, that cripples one of the few things we all still enjoy? Its like you're shooting yourself in the foot.
Honestly I think the time you guys put into this "steel cage" concept. Would have been better appreciated in more tours for the road. Giving us at least 10 more leagues. Updating the silver and gold league loots. Updating the feud chest. Updating the DX vault. Lowering the stip store prices. Doing more work to revamp older posters to try and make them some what relevant again. Make loot pulls fun again.
There are a LOT more things of value we loyal faithful gamers would thank you for, enjoy and appreciate versus a mode that will take away things we love about the game.
Actually playing the steel cage match, makes me appreciate "Extreme Rules" A WHOLE lot more. I would rather play extreme rules MUCH more than to ever see steel cage again. Sorry
And plus its not fair that I cant use my toys, but the computer can. This SHOULD not be put into regular gameplay. IF we just have to have this mode. It should come around rarely like extreme rules. Otherwise. I can really do without this mode. Not a fan at all. In anyway. Like i said it just makes me appreciate extreme rules more.

I like a change in the way this game is being played but I don't like how the steel cage rules are basically taking away all of our hard work to get all the necessary things to make our superstar strong. We spent money and time to get the right strap and trainers/coaches. This mode basically takes all that away and only allow for the whales of this game to play with the new superstar that have 99mp to beat us.

Asking me to do matches without my strap, entourage and plates.
Thats like asking Batman to fight crime in gotham without his gadgets and toys.

I enjoy steel cage rules! More modes to be explored, more options to be had!! I enjoy seeing old cards being used because they match the stipulations. This is much more enjoyable than the extreme blitz.
I hope it does not go away, I think games should be challenging instead of click twice win… Of course, with harder challenges, rewards should also be better.
However, I think it started a little bit too aggressive.
Suggestions:
- Too many restrictions at once is a bad thing
- 99 MP should not be allowed in steel cage (though it does incentivize the people to spend)
- No Entourage - should be adjusted where it can be 1-4 slots being disabled; instead of all 4.
- Opponents (including in tours) should have the same restrictions as players do
- Limit the modes steel cages apply to (I know, this week is testing - having it on every mode is too much)0 -
These Steel Cage rules are an utter disaster and need to be shelved. It is profoundly unfair to those of us who have been working hard to build up our rosters, spend money on skill plates and other boosters to suddenly find out they will only be usable some of the time, after all the investment and effort we have put in. In fact, it is a huge deterrent from trying to earn such improvements in the future if they're going to matter so little. The fact that this nerf is currently active in almost every mode makes me not want to play the game at all, and is especially disappointing seeing as so many contest points are currently locked behind these restrictions.
I'm all for new modes and finding ways to make the game more strategic. This, absolutely categorically, ain't it.

It’s not a F2P or a spender issue. It’s people worked to get stuff, to take up SS that they like, then during the longest event of the MLC a company has now decided we can’t use them. Having a special tour is one thing, but this is too much.
Plus the game is supposed to be enjoyable, I try to get all the stuff to make the SS I like better to use for feuds. So now the SS I like might be worthless in an important event like this.

I think its rubbish, end of!

Putting it in fueds , limiting my use of plates that i have paid for irritates me .
Ill take all my money back if you dont mind. Not really into being told i cant use the speifics i payed for to make people better and make fueding easier and faster.

does anyone else find the steel cage rules pointless and dumb? Why does AI get moves charged but the player doesn’t… that’s not very player friendly. I’m all for making the game more challenging, but keep it fair. 👎steel cage BS

In future iterations of this mode, I’d like to see other forms of restrictions such as only using certain era or links.

I normally wouldn't do this but I had to come back and say again that the steel cage mode isn't good. It could be, but as of now it just isn't good. I have no idea why it was decided to implement it in all aspects of the game right away? This was either a big mistake or it's a big screw you to the majority of the players. Releasing it via or in lieu of the hardcore matches would have been the best way to slowly introduce the mode. This would allow players to become familiar with it's mechanics and also allow the devs the time to work on the bugs that have shown up. The biggest being that opponents aren't being held to the same rules. Going into feud with steel cage rules as is will be a nightmare for a lot of players I'm afraid and that just shouldn't be the case. You know how important feud is to entire factions and to have any hiccups really ruins the experience. Something this big is going to ruin a lot of weekends.

Im not a fan of the steel cage rules concept at all, it just seems like another way to annoy players. No point in me going through and talking about what I do like when that's not the problem, I just don't care for the whole thing after playing it.

Overall, I like the concept and think this can be a fun and challenging addition to regular tours(and possibly even blitz or faction boss.)
However, Steel Cage rules should be kept separate from feuds and showdowns. Given how much players have invested in roster building, a lot of players (myself included) will feel ripped off by having our roster rendered worthless overnight.
While I agree and enjoy that the boosts are powerful, it's not feasible to suddenly take a whole new set of characters to 6SG for every specific set of steel cage rules. Most special gems are irrelevant in the current meta, so the average player won't be able to take advantage of the boosts with underleveled characters.
What I Dislike:
- Many of our characters are suddenly unusable without the full combination of entourage, plates, straps, moments, etc. Given how much money has gone into building players' rosters, I find this unacceptable in competitive modes.
- 99MP characters and characters with 1MP moves spoil the strategy of this mode. This will ruin any creativity or variety.
- When players are 'challenged' with more difficult content, the rewards on offer should scale accordingly. Making the game significantly harder for the exact same rewards is not fun at all.
What I Like:
- Applying the boosts on top of the total is great and makes the boosts powerful.
- Adding importance to various special gems adds a better balance to characters in the game rather than focusing only on massive multiply gems and gem boosts.
- Tours, Blitz, and Faction Boss are all generally easy game modes, so this could make those modes more interesting.
Suggestions:
- Don't force Steel Cage rules into feud or SD. These modes are already very time-consuming and Make this mode its own weekly or weekend contest.
- Add some additional bonuses for these matches such as boosted loot boxes. More challenging content must have better rewards than standard content.
- Give players an option to play matches with or without steel cage rules - regular rules with basic rewards or cage rules with bonus rewards. This would help newer players and those in lower leagues or lower-talent rosters.

Hate the nerfs of steel cages. I didn't spend years to build a good roster with strong champions only to have them nerfed and unplayable with the bonus I have earned. I
2 -
Makes all Skillplates worthless we fighting for years.
It is senseless to bring this new Mode in pvp event like a feud.
The biggest shit i play this game since 8 years.
If this is the future i will quit the game and do other things with my new winning time and money.

The AI has to adhere to the same rules in all modes except tours. But if you notice they didn't have their 99 mp in that mode either.

This just isn’t the way to go about introducing a new gameplay mode at all. Using feud will never be a good test environment. Feud requires a good amount of points to max and I don’t have a ton of time on the weekends to sit around trying to score all of those points. Please for the love of god leave it alone or lower the score requirements for this weekend only…

this mode is terrible and total BS. How can you take away advantages from playlets who have either earned or purchased them but allow the AI to have them? Make it fair or get rid of it! I will not be participating in any game associated with these rules

Everything about it has been great. Only thing I wish was different and just in this challenge that it was just seth you could use for bonus points but any of the tmnt superstars.

As a concept it's quite interesting. I quite like it for tours where you have time on your hands and unlimited attempts as it has the potential to make you think hard about how to get a win.
I'm less keen on it for modes that require speed (I.e..feud) or have limited energy for trying things. I'm particularly concerned that some css for feud will be completely dead without an entourage.
I think opponents should have the same rules applied.
Imo, perfect it as a tour mode, tag mode tours good too. Even try it out on boss battle where faction teamwork helps but leave feud and sd alone.

Steel Cage rules are fine for a tour I guess, but that's it. I didn't spend (waste) all this time and MONEY on belts and plates and entourage for Feuds only to tell me I can't use them. I promise, if they keep these I'm gone. I'm not one of those guys who gets on here every week saying "I'll walk" but yeah…for this I will. It's better than Extreme rules, maybe. That's it. I say, hey..you tried something, OK. But it failed. Take it off.
I'm still looking for them to make things more individual friendly and not contingent upon you being in a faction.

Fued already takes a lot of time up. It is hard to keep up and still spend some time with family and friends on weekends and be able to get fued done. Adding the steel cage is just going to make it worse. Because those of us who have built are roster to help go quick in fued now it means nothing.

I think the Steel Cage rules are a refreshing change. It’s challenging and makes you think outside the box. You guys also did a great job balancing the stipulations:
- In the tours you have more time to figure things out so it’s okay that there are more restrictions. Especially the no Entourage/props/anti-stun/anti-sub match felt impossible to me. But it felt good when I finally figured it out.
- In Feuds it’s all about speed and it’s nice that there is only 1 restriction (e.g. no skill plates). I do think it’s a good idea to think about the frequency. So only do Flash Feuds with Steel Cage rules and not the regular Feuds.
All in all, I like the new game mode. But if think of last week, there was so much to do, maybe a little too much. But I guess that’s fine for a limited IP crossover event.
I’ve got 2 more observations unrelated to last weeks event:
- I often get kicked back to the home screen after a tour match. It’s annoying to have to get back to the tour screen after every match.
- Since the introduction of Gemania, my stipulation matches Freeze a lot. I stopped playing them because of this issue.
Keep up the good job :)

Terrible concept. You make it harder to participate while playing for the same lame rewards. Why build up a roster for the cage rules to nullify the time spent upgrading ones roster. Another failed concept. My time here is done.

constructive? If you want to close the game down you are going the right way about it.
It has taken a lot of work to get superstars, trainers, coaches, straps, medals and then the currency needed to enhance them all to render them useless.
If we have to suffer this mode it should be like stip tours with its own currency and rewards and completely separate from any game mode I am likely to play. 👍

I don’t like the cage matches - what’s the point in spending time building up a decent rosta with a good entourage and straps if 1/2 of the events you aren’t going to be able to use them.
If you can’t use all of the features they may as well be removed completely and go back to the basic game it was at the start. But then I guess that’s not as profitable!

Enhance immobile, silence, botch, and power gems all you want. They still aren't useful. I'm not going to waste resources for random posters that will be good for one random event.
Taking away from players posters is a bad idea it doesn't work. Just makes the game less fun to play. Which is what we all play for to have a good time.
Taking away the entourage just means we can only play with 99 mp posters. Which I'm sure you'll say you can play with other posters it just won't be loaded turn 1. But everyone is playing with 99 mp so their defense is loaded turn 1.
