Nice idea... But most of the players hate this because of the especially free to play players.

So it looks like for the first feud, skill plates are going to be inactive? I'm assuming it's going to change with each new flash feud, but how are you guys going to validate that? You're voiding the use of something that people have spent real money on, you're voiding the use of skill plate currency and people paying for the subscription to do so, or for buying skill plate removal currency off the portal. Leave these stipulations out of feud. It's already a grind to max the warscore.

Feud is about speed, efficiency, and optimization and you're taking that away. Also as I stated in my original post about my concerns of 99 mp guys still reigning supreme i was correct. Sd was a perfect indicator of that when all my defense was against 99 mp buffed characters and guess what the outcome resulted in? A loss. How is this competitive? How is this good and healthy for the game? How can you justify nullifying the money players put into this game to and not let them using the items they spent it on to aquire?

This seems like a recipe for disaster. The player base wants a challenge, but keep it to tours. Maybe other game modes. But to add to the one mode the majority loves and have spent money on is silly. It voids the work and money we have spent on the game.

With that said, if you feel you HAVE to do it, then limit the nerfs.

It’s fine you want something new, but this isn’t the way. On top of that, don’t introduce and beta test a mode in something as big as flash feuds.

  • I enjoyed the idea and liked it as a way to freshen gameplay. It added to Showdown mode and required more strategy in picking wrestlers. However, it has been too limiting on tours, particularly when unable to use entourages and props.

Going to amend this by saying that the feud setup screen was added at reset today, so we can see the bonuses/nerfs. It seems the only major nerf happening (in the first Feud at least) is removal of skill plates. So everyone maxing the MLC is going to be excited to try out the Piper Plate, only to be told they can't use it this Feud?

Furthermore, yall changed up the CSS requirements for today's tour on us with no warning. Previously it was the Summer 2023 characters, which I guess should have been a tipoff something was off since Indi Hartwell and ObLIVion were included in them when the TMNT tour has no female opponents. I know I know, SuBjEcT tO cHaNgE. Didn't really have a major problem with this since I have 6SG Monster Bomb but it's not a good look when these things get changed.

You know what's terrible though? Having these Steel Cage rules in tours when the opponents don't have to play by the rules. We don't get to use Entourages or Props, but Leonardo Seth gets to start with his submission ready to go on turn 1, so we can't do anything about it? Have yall actually tested this mode and tried to play it yourselves? Do you not see how annoying this is?

We know this mode is going to be permanent since Extreme Rules never went anywhere and people HATED that. My stance on the matter remains unchanged - if you want to throw it in on an occasional midweek Showdown, sure fine whatever. If you're going to use it in Tours, make sure the opponents have to obey the same rules, don't let the opponent start with submissions loaded turn 1 with no way to mitigate it. Keep this nonsense OUT of Faction Feuds / Flash Feuds entirely.

    Trial period, and play first

Why bother, they've made their mind up already

Ive not seen such a negative response to a planned idea in a very long time

Its just pandering to the big boys who have all the 99mp guys at 6sg etc

If you come up against one of them and you've been unable to either get on nor build it up, your utterly fucked for half hour fued

Pathetic idea, and will be awful

  • it is an interesting game mode but seems prone to impossible matches now that turtles are available, especially seth with the turtle skin. When the player gets entourage limitations but the opponent doesn’t, AND the opponent can dodge both moves and swipes, AND props are disabled, it is a “delete the app” level event. The permutations that can generate these events from stun lock and/or 100% dodge are too many to count.

I said this in the other thread and I'll say it again here - I like Faction Feuds / Flash Feuds a lot, so I don't like seeing the format changed like this. The timing on this is really unfortunate because a lot of people are taking the Piper Plate from maxing the MLC, and want to try it out on a character ASAP. But now we're told we don't get to use these plates at all on the big grind event of the weekend. Huh???

While true it does make everyone have to rethink their roster for Feud, I don't think this is a positive change at all. I'll try to go into it with an open mind but since you want us to give feedback AFTER the feud has happened, then I will be sure to do so on Sunday.

  • Steel Cage Rules:

This concept is fine for implementation in tours, and I’m okay with it even being implemented in blitzes.

However, steel cage rules should never be implemented in feuds.

Many players have built their rosters specifically for feuding as it is the premier gaming mode. Many of the characters built for feuds have straps, plates, ultimate plates, gear that were heavily paywalled…real dollars spent…and are now not allowed to be used based on the rules. So for example, no skill plates in upcoming flash feuds. For those players who spent real money to get these pay walled skill plates, you have made them meaningless. You have turned our real dollars into something meaningless for an event.

Steel cage rules need to be limited to certain aspects of the game, but absolutely needs to be eliminated from use in feuds. This is not something the player base asked for.

I like the steel cage concept but it's important to me that it also makes sense in the pro wrestling universe. The whole concept of the cage is no outside interference. That applies to both participants not just one of them. So when I go into a match with all my "stuff" removed the opponent should be that way as well. If it doesn't apply to both, you're doing it wrong. Then it's just another of those road tour matches where everything is stacked against the player for no particular reason other than to annoy the player.

Handicap matches exist in pro wrestling too. If that's what you want to do, do that. But it's not a "cage match".

Anyway that's my two cents. Love the concept, just need to execute it properly.

    Not a fan at all.

I’m finding the current changes in the game less enjoyable, particularly when they reduce the effectiveness of key elements like plates, trainers, or moments that players have worked hard and spent to obtain. For example, in feuds, which is a mode where I could previously use my characters to their full potential, the recent restrictions feel limiting. I think introducing a new feature like Steel Cage for contests would make more sense, rather than applying these restrictions in feud matches, where many characters rely on those enhancements to succeed.

  • This steel cage update is ridiculous. Putting it on everything is out right stupid. Make it like extreme rules. Once in a while. That will make something fun and exciting. But this BS on tours feud showdown EVERYTHING is stupidity among stupidity. Ruin this game. This is a damn game to play have fun and relax. Not bust your ass for plates and then not even able to use them. Good job development team. Hope you caught the sarcasm there. Take the steel cage off everything we do.

Really enjoying the different play styles having to change the way I play some guys without entourage. Thank you for leaving it open so we can win matches.

Having no entourage I'd say it's hard in showdown unless you have 1mp people which can cause some headaches unless you use a 99mp character at a high enough level which is really hard for any f2p players.

  • Jebbies

I like the idea of something different but having everyone use 99mp characters and you can’t use any entourage just seems unfair. I think if you can find a better balance for this the steel cage rules wouldn’t be as bad. I do like the idea of using different characters but can’t cause of 99mp.

I think the concept is dead on. It makes you use the characters like we did in the beginning of this game like a reset. What I think needs to happen though is more energy given and not losing points when attacked because when 99 goes against your defense it’s almost always a loss. So minor tweaks can happen but in the end I think it’s a fun feature and different

At first glance , this new mode seemed real interesting. Almost leveling the playing field. After playing for a bit, not sure I am a fan .

I know things need to change to keep the game interesting, keep and increase the player base. In the end it's a game. A lot of us have many hours invested, some hours they can't afford. With the new Cage rules , it appears that would require a lot more time for prep work to fully take advantage of the rules. I know the game needs to stay interesting, but with all the variables now, definitely getting more complicated. How is a newer player supposed to make heads or tails outta everything?

  • After playing a full 2 days of it I stand by my statement make it a stand alone mode or get rid of it. FuedFueds are gonna go alot slower for equal rewards and if that becomes the direction of the game moving forward it may finally be time to call it quits for me. I'm all for challenges but not interested in spending more time for the same rewards.

It should be called Handicap matches as the AI isn’t affected by the same restrictions.

Because I see that the opponent can use entourage which is restricted for me…

We’re already suffering through these asinine rules in SD and it’s utterly terrible. All the grinding (and spending) to gather resources and put together builds and OPE!! All of that is randomly negated because Scopely was just throwing ideas out there with no consideration to the player base. This also is going to literally take $$$ directly out of their pockets. No incentive to spend on gear or plates or moments that only work SOME OF THE TIME. Why bother spending to recruit new trainers/coaches if the Entourage is turned off?? Terrible terrible terrible idea. Get rid of it ASAP.

  • in all honesty I think this mode as a lot of potential but a few flaws. My biggest issue right now is the Leo in fighting champions. He seems he is immune to the steal cage as his trainers are active and our are inactive. With no subs to lower mp, props blocked, and no mp down trainers, he is guaranteed turn 1 sub and sometimes an easy win. I do enjoy that in the showdown it Applies to both. In the future if this mode is used In tours I feel it should apply to both the player and the computer as that seems fair to me. As it currently stands it’s seems more like a handicap match then a steal cage match.

Its been mentioned a few times here already, but I want to reiterate, I am not a fan of putting this into Feuds and Showdowns.

Also mentioned many times, if I have a steel cage, so should my opponent.

When it was announced I was under the impression it would be a new game mode, not a new way to incorporate what are essentially negative perks. I think doing it as a game mode, like Extreme Rules, would be better received by the community as a whole.

  • I enjoyed the idea and liked it as a way to freshen gameplay. It added to Showdown mode and required more strategy in picking wrestlers. However, it has been too limiting on tours, particularly when unable to use entourages and props.

I like the idea of Steel Cage rules.

In theory, this could be good. In practice, it's terrible. As it's own tour (similar to the extreme rules stuff) I think it would be okay, but only if the opponent has the same restrictions. Why do they have an entourage when I don't? Having it in SD and feud is absolutely trash.

Why the hell are people going to spend actual money on characters and plates if they can't even use them half the time? There are so many characters that go from great to average when they don't have the correct plates.

Another example of Scopely thinking up an idea and then making it the worst possible implementation of it.

It’s something new but what’s the point of it. We all worked really hard to get all the trainers, coaches, skills plates and titles for each superstars and now you just decide that we can’t use them. What’s the point of collecting and playing to get all the extra stuff to make our superstar stronger?

  • Overall, I like the concept. It gives us a new challenge, and causes us to maybe look at some superstars in our roster that we might not otherwise give a look to. I also like how each day of the midweek showdown has different steel cage rules, so maybe I'll be using a different guy each day. This is a great concept for a fun challenge on a midweek event.

That being said, keep it away from feud.

Looking ahead, I am noticing that there are steel cage rules for the flash feuds, and I immediately had a negative reaction to it. Here's why.

We, as players, put a lot of time and money into each MLC with certain goals in mind to enhance our rosters and Improve gameplay. This all culminates with final weekend's flash feud, where we are able to put to use the results of an entire month of hard work.

Unfortunately, so much Of that hard work will go unrewarded. For example, by not being able to use skill plates:

-Those who spent all month pursuing Tama Tonga won't be able to utilize him to his full potential

-Those who spent all month pursuing Jacob Fatu won't be able to utilize him to his full potential

-Those who spent all month pursuing Solo Sikoa won't be able to utilize him to his full potential

-Those who spent all month working to max the solo contest to get the Piper plate will not be able to utilize it at all

-Those who spent money in week 2 to get the Tama Tonga plate will not be able to utilize it at all.

It is just a huge letdown that we spend all month in pursuit of some of these things, only to have them rendered unusable or restricted.

Honestly, feud is the one time when we should be able to unleash the full scope of our roster, not have it limited.
