Multiply Gem Superstars Changes and Solutions (updated)
Hey Champions,
First, we want to apologize for your inconvenience with the mentioned Superstars. We did not intend to roll out the update and adjustments the way it happened.
Rest assured, Superstars affected by this change should stay relevant for the Meta!
The change was required to fix the inconsistency across Superstar Balancing. It was never intended to work the way you experienced them in the game or Content Creator Videos. It took a while for us to solve this because of the complex gameplay logic.
Here is a list of currently affected Superstars:
- Shinsuke Nakamura "Master of the Kinshasa"
- Sami Zayn "Out of the Bloodline"
- Trish Stratus "Tribute to the Troops"
- Shawn Michaels "Rocker"
- Wendi Richter "Hall of Fame"
We are currently discussing mitigations, ensuring that affected Moves scale better into 6-Star Silver. The only caveat is that there is no ETA yet, due to the high workload on the R62 update and everything related to it.
We will let you know when there is a follow-up on this.

Habemus Solution!
We will increase the dmg per color move by 3x for the affected Superstars. This should keep them in the meta and more valuable at 6-Star Silver!

So with bundles we bought to recruit said characters will be refunded since they were advertised differently then what we now have?

You have killed 2 people that best in my roster and I have invested money coins tp boss breaker coins and have practically made them useless. I don't have anyone striker wise that is on same level as don't have the rare plates that are always out of reach on events and I'm in a top 20 faction.
This has left a sour taste in my mouth as it was done back handed and silently.
Now we meant to struggle on for months with no solution no compensation nothing. No rep from scopley ie community person who when on rare times he speaks is rude and condenseding. Maybe it time you actively look after your community of players all players not just spenders as all you seem to do is screw 99% of us.

There's no eta in my resuming spending after how much getting Sami cost. Especially since yall advertised him drip build say what you want now, yall hurt us the players that spent money and resources again. I can guarantee you a loss of a fair amount from me this month. The lack of empathy from mods managers on this issue is really a lesson in how not to customer service as well.

So why not just roll it back. Fix what you need to fix THEN announce what will change. You are happy to roll back stuff that benefit players. So roll this back until ALL issues have been sorted as currently something gets broken EVERY update and us the players no longer trust anything you say due to hiding behind the subject to change stuff.
And stop letting the CC's take the stick for this and actually speak up straight away. Quick enough to fix something that gives the players stuff. But takes you time and excuses when it suits yourselves.

I get that your are busy, but how does this help the effected players now? We have characters that have acted this way for over a year and are for some of us top characters on our roster and now they are essentially worthless and we may get an update on them at some future date, assuming you don't forget. How does that help us next week for feud or the week after for boss battle when many people have their boss breaker currency tied to these characters?

If this game mechanic was never intended why was this not communicated to the community earlier? Rather than waiting years to communicate and have player spend resources to level them up thinking this mechanic would always work.

The "solution" is, respectfully, to just roll the change back, Firpo. It's not that hard. There was nothing wrong with the mechanic before, so don't change it.
You're making rocket science out of arithmetic for ZERO reason.

My main issue is the communication.. if their was something last mlc or even before this mlc started saying looks guys were working on this.. this is gonna be happening for x y z reason it wouldn't be so bad.
Other point is naka and rocker are older and can be passed off.. PH sami is less 3 months old. That is also a very ugly move to be honest.
I genuinely hope this fix is good and it should be a priority seeing as people spent good money on all of them cards.

Thanks for the official statement regarding this issue. I hope we can expect better communications regarding changes like this in the future. Pissed and discouraged as I may be with the change - all eyes on the adjustments and up coming changes.
Naka coaching ability still doesn't work on "GEMS (Traps and Juggernauts)" - next time we look at rebalancing, can we also look at getting bugs worked out?

Rollback the nerf. As a developer my self, I know you can. since you already put in the work to figure out the complex design as you said. Reactivate once you have figured out the solution . This message, while sounding optimistic does nothing for the affected players who put in their hard earned money into the game.

I can understand the position the company is taking regarding this not working as intended. Letting people know you guys were working to correct this would have been nice to know a year ago. or when Naka came out and then Sami came out. Trust is a huge part of the developer and player relationship. What else are you guys working on that might take away from our gameplay?
What i think you're missing is some rosters (not mine) are built around Naka, Rocker, and Sami. Those who have invested resources and money (to acquire) into these cards are being left out in the cold.
ETA is very concerning for the whole community. Those who use these cards and their main cards are now without a top superstar to play with. Leaving them at a disadvantage. It took a year to fix this. This should be a priority for people to get updated cards with the hopes they will be usable during this gem damage meta.
I know a lot of people are upset (including me). But we are upset because we really care about this game and the community we have. We want to be happy and you want to be happy. You gave us multi down trainers. Those are sufficient in nerfing those cards.
Sorry this got so long. Honesty should be your 1st policy with the gamers. We act like children when we are blindsided. If you are honest from the start the community will take it better.

Rocker and Naka have been in game for a YEAR. A freaking year, never once did Scopley say he was not workimg as intended, not once did Scopley say they planned to "fix" him. Not one single time in a YEAR. This is not acceptable.
You ran an event around PH Sami and his Drip Plate build. Not once did you say he is broken. Not once did you say you intended to "fix" him.
Your CCs put out multiple videos on these characters. Not once did you say they are broken. Not once did you say you intended to "fix" them.
Do you see the pattern here? Do you?
I spent real money to finally get Rocker last month. Because of the way he played, because of the CCs videos, because of the feuds, because of the boss battles, because he's has been useful for a YEAR.
I honestly want a refund for every penny that I've spent chasing these cards, but I know I won't get anything at all other than a basic thoughtless apology.

I wouldn've taken other superstars to 6ss if I knew two of my main guys would do way less damage. Can I have my tp, coins, and tokens back so I can take other superstars up? It is absurd to not inform your players that this was happening before people spent their hard money on your game

I understood the nerf of a given character a month after its publication in the game. But now it's a year later. You have a problem because players can pull more damage from a given star better than your staff. You have a problem now due to the introduction of new 6sg stars in a while. Because there are stars that do not need to be upgraded to defeat an opponent with more talent. You made a mistake now come out with your face and leave it the way it was.

You should have communicated that to your player base that you guys know about this "issue"
You just released other op Superstars like rocker, naka, sami and people spend a lot of time grinding in feuds for their shards and/or spent money for them.
That would have been only fair to your loyal player that play this game for years.
Communication is key and you clearly failed at this point.
Some guys build their whole roster around this chars, feud bossbattle, you name it.
What about the ressources that we put into them? Tp coins, boss breaker currency unlocked straps...
I am really looking forward to your decision and what you think those chars should be able to do in the 6ss meta.

Scopely, your policy and attitude to the players who invest in your game is the worst ice seen ever!
In a few words it's sounds like "Grabbing money and let them all to f...CK each other".
A while denm bunches of Bugs, cheating with subscription mechanics, cheating with portal promises, grafic bugs, high prices and now this bullshit... What the hell quality of your service is build on?
Hope your business will be as success as your attitude to us.

You say this was never intended, yet sami just came out and included a build that could take full advantage of it. Basically, you guys built a character who could utilize the mechanics, knowing full well you would be rolling it back. There are issues almost weekly in this game and it's pretty clear that you guys either don't care or are not set up to successfully roll out new characters on a weekly basis while maintaining the integrity of the game. YOU ALL NEED TO DO BETTER. This community is extremely loyal to this game and more often than not, you guys take advantage of that loyalty.

I've been saying it for years now we need better communication! If rocker and naka were not working as intended why allow content creators to publish videos with the "broken" game mechanic in? Why not ask the CC to mention its a broken mechanic which is due to get fixed? This is just one more bit of proof the devs and "community manager" Don't care about the player base!
Do whats right and reverse this stupid decision before alienating many decent champions players

This falls into "sounds like a you problem". You created characters and had people pay to get the characters without vetting the moves. 100% your fault.
What's stopping you from changing other characters people have chased in the future? Is the answer nothing? Shady shady business practices afoot.
Change your tag from seize the play to "subject to change (literally anything because we suck)"

Will you be refunding the money that we all have spent to acquire said superstars. I along with the rest of the community have spent handsomely for the likes of these characters and we did so due to the fact they were advertised this way. Within hours you have changed new featured cards and chase cards duebto them being subpar, I'm sure you've could have adjusted said characters moves prior to this like you've done with others. Instead of changing affected cards moves after their release, they were left as advertised so we continued to pay as well as invest an abundance of resources to level them up. When will we be reimbursed the money and resources we've spent on those affected?

i dont think this community will and shouldnt allow to Scopely to wait for a real solution/compensation/whatever you wanna throw to solve this thing
whatever Scopely want to balance/fix/make better about this theme, we dont have patiente in this moment for the continuous screw ups in the last few weeks and the zero communication in this thing where our investments in the 5 called superstars were seriously affected
my expectations on how this soap opera will end are Zero., as i am expecting a subject to change thing soon but not changing it really because your priority is "high workload on the R62 update and everything related to it."

Patience went out the door with the Ali event explanation.
”If it impacts the bottom line, we may change it. If it doesn’t, we won’t change it.” I have zero patience for this attitude, and that seems to be what the company is saying yet again. You’ve made your money, you have no incentive to change it back, despite LITERALLY NOBODY supporting the change.
Zero communication until now and you want patience? No. If the change was in the works, you’d have gotten patience if you’d told us. If the change was necessary A YEAR AGO, why did you release multiple versions of the same move, PROFIT LIKE HELL off it, and then change it at a time where you can’t implement an adjustment for something that nobody ever thought was broken in the first place until TBD.
No. No patience. My money has benefitted the company enough. Changes need to be made to benefit us, for once, ASAP. If there’s an issue where you need to roll things back, you do it immediately. But when it is something that benefits us, it is when you get around to it? Sorry, not sorry, but that’s unacceptable. Not this time. Not with as many issues as have come up lately that have been shrugged off.
WE DESERVE BETTER.

It's ridiculous how for the umpteenth time the entire community is not shocked by your ineptitude, lack of empathy for the players and poor communication in general with yet more mistakes at your end. Should we expect more? Yes. Do we expect anything to change? Sadly not. How you still have paying customers is beyond me.

im Done spending money on this game. Going f2p, and i will be happy about a Free Paige every month (as the latest, i dont know, 24 months)? 👌🏻

Why keep lying to us . Naka ,Rocker have been out for a long time . If there was a problem ,you could have fixed them when they came out and not build another Superstar like Sami ,with the same mechanics . All monies invested in these superstars ,will and should be refunded or you put these superstars back the way they were built and advertised. I've already cancelled my subscriptions and I know I'm within my rights by law to ask for a refund on all purchases toward the characters effected .

The "balance" is the reduce multiply gem dmg coach's that are already in game. They nerf these mentioned cards in feud and showdown, no problem. ROLL THIS BACK and do right by the people who pay YOUR salary and provide you with a job. The community is speaking loudly to you, just listen.
