And strap pass cancelled . Bank will be contacted as will google to proceed with refunding of purchases on all effected characters. You have breach consumer law imo and false advertising to get as much cash out you're player base as possible . As a company you have failed you're player community and again don't listen. This was all done ,with no communication at all and your responses to why it was done are lame and make no sense whatsoever

  • I appreciate the quick resolutions , but it seems to be very focused on rocker. Nakamura's buff would need to be far greater given his were base x10 multiply gems.

I mean...it's better than NOTHING, but that is 100% not a solution and you just alienated so many customers. This is a masterclass in how NOT to handle a problem. One that YOU created, no less. I WANT the game to flourish, but the player base has been shrinking for years and you're alienating yet more of those who are left.

This seems unfair. I feel that we invested time, energy, resources and ACTUAL MONEY into recruiting, upgrading and maintaining these characters, and now, out of nowhere, that is being taken from us. With no real warning. Also, why would you be doing this? When there are so many issues that affect game play, why change characters that are not broken? There are so many other issues with this app that get ignored. Focus on some of the multitude of complaints you get daily opposed to nerfing characters people have spent on please! This is going to have a backlash if continued. It seems that there is issue after issue as of late and the community are the ones left getting screwed.

I hope you know that you are pushing your player base out of the game, and with no players there will be no money for you all coming in.

  • So, you guys are admitting that you knew that HOF Wendy's damage per gem move was not working the intended way? Still you released Nakamora whose one moveset was same and worked the same way, your content creators made videos of the same and showed the community how to run him and how he is the feud god. Then you released Rocker and then PH Sammy. The timeline is more than a year and were silent and choose not to tell community that it's not their intended way to work, but you keep sellin those Cards and their shards and enjoy the benefits from the selling of those cards.

    Where is the Ethics??

Can you roll back and return all the player base the money spent for a damaged and broken product which you know was broken and you were trying to change them in a way their effectiveness will be lesser and make them pathetic cards from the Top God tier Card!

That's can be classified as Che***g and Unethical unfair Business Practice.

It's High team develop a Ethical way to run the business and develop and maintain transparent relationship with the Player base.

And also we would.like to know how many more moves are not working the intended way so that we can decided from now on who to work or not.

Well since nobody else will say it, I think this is a largely adequate solution and in a timely manner.

For everyone saying it is a bad thing, test out your guys and see how they’re hitting. They still slap. Rocker and Sami are both still potential 6ss killers at 6sb. It isn’t optimal, but it is adequate.

I actually appreciate the quick response, as it initially sounded like there wouldn’t be any solution until much later.

  • Bazza4444
    Bazza4444 Member ✭✭✭

BS . No changes should have been made in the first place . You invest in or buy something ,nothing should be changed . It was all done with Zero communication and sneaky . Scopley true colours

Here's the biggest problem with this solution, because I wanna be as constructive as possible:

    1. They all had different multipliers, and the WEAKEST of them was way higher than 3x. With Shinsuke, it was times TEN.
    2. Other than Sami, none of them recycle easily. That was the literal counter to these builds. It worked. It worked fine. That plus the anti-multiply coaches effectively nerfed these builds WHEN YOU NEEDED TO as a player.
    3. The idea that this will help them scale into 6ss is just...inaccurate and I genuinely don't understand how we're supposed to buy that fact. In order for that to be true, they'd need to make and/or break more and/or stronger multis.

This screams of a panic move by Scopely that they think will smooth it over, but it is by no means an adequate solution. MAYBE if it was 7x instead of 3. But even then that's a stretch. 7x would basically average the three. Shinsuke would be a bit weaker, but it'd be close enough, probably.

The fix wasn't a fix, nakamura is 1/3 of what he once was. If this was a unintended bug then you should of mentioned it after rocker came out but you didn't. You went on to sell Sami and nakamura with the massive damage as a selling point. Why would anyone spend on this game knowing you may just one day decide to fix something that some spent massive amounts of money, time, and resources on.

  • 1WingedAngel
    1WingedAngel Member ✭✭✭

Then quit. This is the change that was made, and it is not nearly as bad as you are trying to make it out to be. If it’s so bad, why still play? You aren’t going to get it brought back, no matter how many angry messages you send.

Just think, they didn’t have to do anything. They could have just left it, but they just tripled the base damage, and they didn’t make us wait for another patch.

  • 1WingedAngel
    1WingedAngel Member ✭✭✭

Rocker was 4x (not WAY more than 3x), and you can get that back via strap and medal bonuses, coaches, etc. And he recycled constantly with the Prey in the Night plate. So you’re literally passing along blatant misinformation.

Sorry but this is not acceptable

I will discuss only about Rocket and Naka.

Rocker is making strength 4 multiply gems on almost all the board so the buff on move should be x4

Naka is making x10 on the bottom 3 rows so the buff should be x10 or x9.

Naka is way worse than before the update and he does not recycle well.

The solution you provide is not adequate.

  • I am struggling to see any benefits or positive changes for any of the player-base in the last months (that were intentional).

Factoring in how obnoxious the customer support system is now, and all of the (what has seemed like) lazy mistakes that have been increasingly hindering and more frequently, I look forward to the next Scopely surprise.

With what seems like moneygrab after moneygrab after moneygrab, you would think the game experience would be getting better and better, but it is actually getting worse and worse. This change feels like one of those moneygrabs - not only did you nerf the top tier cards after the money was in your hands, but this implies you want us to spend to get the other current top tier cards.

I don't want to speak for anyone else, but I feel that an actual balancing would be better received if the experience was improving and things were being balanced. As literally everyone else has alluded to, this change and deceptive implementation of it, has tainted the reputation of Scopely and has everyone questioning what the future of the game will be like.

Nah bro, you guys don't get to ask us to be patient. When was the last time we went more than 2 weeks without some sort of screw-up? How can you expect people to buy new cards if you're just gonna change it on a whim?

I'll use an example here. In my country, the law states that if something is at a store for $100, but the store has a 20% off sign on it for an extended period of time, that becomes the new standard price. THESE CHARACTERS HAVE DONE THIS FOR A YEAR OR LONGER. THE WAY THEY WORK IS THE STANDARD NOW. It doesn't matter what you "intended".

Seriously, a bunch of goddamn Muppets

Okay, so I'm going to make this post in an effort to show that I'm a rational human being.

Mherex posted a (rather excellent) video on how to make the reworked Rocker Shawn work. I still think Sami suffers the least in general, because he's the most recent card and has more viable builds. And after looking more closely at Shinsuke, I THINK the new path to viability for him involves not using the yellow gem damage move at all and, while I haven't explored it yet, I'm pretty sure it'd actually be quite good. SO, here's how Scopely could, and SHOULD, have handled this entire thing differently.

    1. Announce this change was coming well in advance.
    2. Either give creators time to put out the helpful tutorials themselves or even, as Scopely, explain WHY this rework strengthens them in the 6ss meta instead of, again, going with the philosophy of "Just trust us, bros."
    3. Offer people a chance to weigh in AFTER having the full information whether or not they wanted the change.

They did none of those things, and admittedly it seems like there are viable other builds that people weren't using, but for some it's probably too little too late, and additionally, it's still an extremely sneaky rug pull even completely outside the meta of the game, just looking at good business and common decency.

I was as angry as anyone (and still think Scopely handled this terribly) but both Rocker and Nakamura can easily do 25m+ turn 1, you just have to run them differently. I'd imagine Sami is much the same.

I'm running sami with the juggernaut setup, I prefer that one, I saw that one and that's the reason I spent for him.

I just want what I purchased, everyone in real life could agree.

Don't get me wrong, anyone can react how they want, I just wanted to make sure everyone was informed, since Scopely chose not to do so. :) I hope pursuing the results you want aren't too difficult for you.

The problem with this 'fix' is that as it's a blanket approach, it means some cards are still nerfed more than others and is totally disproportionate. As per Mherex's latest videos, the cards are still doing high damage - which begs the question, why even change them at all?

The second issue with this is that this 'fix' does nothing to restore any trust whatsoever that the community has in scopely. What other 'fixes' are they planning to roll out and how else will paying customers be affected?

We've literally been served a pile of crap, and scopely's response is to put a cherry on it and expect us to be grateful.

It really is. If you aren't sure how medals and trainers work you should probably try this stuff before saying something like this and looking silly

  • Mherex

The fix was to fix a broken mechanic it wasn't a nerf. These are two different things. Imo the take away here is just give us a bug log of whats going to be fixed with no timetable that we can look at and see then no surprises. But this wasn't a nerf it was fixing a mechanic.

You should give out extra coins to change skill plates with this 3x change. My rocker and nakamura no longer need the skill plates they currently have and we had no advance warning of these changes to set them up properly with different move sets that require different skill plates.
