Out of memory

This appears to be a known problem, but I cannot find a recent thread on it and the notes in the "Known Issues" thread do not help (see below). It has become a lot worse lately.
What exactly is not working?
The game eventually - after about 5 to 15 minutes - ends abruptly when played in the web portal, with the browser displaying the following message:
Out of memory. If you are the developer of this content, try allocating more memory to your WebGL build in the WebGL player settings.
This issue is not only annoying, but it is now at a point where the game is unplayable. For instance, I cannot properly play faction feuds or gauntlet blitzes anymore due to being kicked out of matches and losing them in the process. I have also had to spend thousands of health packs due to this.
Where in the game did it happen?
It happens either during match, but also in the menus, and completely randomly. If it happens during a match, the match is lost and the superstar gets dropped to zero health.
What are the steps to reproduce it?
Play the game for a bit. There is no specific action that causes this.
When or since when did it happen?
This has been a problem ever since the web portal launched. However, up until early July, this would only happen more or less sporadically. Since about early July, it has not been possible to play for longer than about 15 minutes.
How often do you experience this issue?
Always, after 5 to 15 minutes after launching the game.
What device are you playing on?
HP gaming notebook with AMD Ryzen 7, 16 GB of RAM, GeForce GTX 1160 Ti.
Which OS and game version?
Windows 10 x64, web version running in the latest version of Chrome.
What is your in-game name (case sensitive!) - (obviously also your Forum name)

What have you tried so far to fix it on your side?
I have tried running the game after a complete reboot of the notebook with the browser being the only running application (I even made sure no virus scanner was scanning things), and the game being the only open browser tab. This is no different than watching a video next to the game and having many tabs open, I have tried different scenarios here, and this happened in any of them.
My notebook is not even close to reaching its memory limits. Rather, this is a message coming from the browser (Google Chrome), warning that the web application is trying to allocate too much memory. In Chrome, the limit seems to be 4GB per tab regardless of the actual memory available to the system (see Chromium issue 416284).
As a result, there is nothing an end user can do here. Very likely, this is a memory leak in the game that has to be fixed - at least it doesn't seem plausible why the game would actually need 4GB of memory.
Any Screenshots or videos of the issue that help us to understand it better?
None that I could think of.

No need to create a new thread for this it's a known existing issue that a fix hasn't been deployed for yet.

I understand. It's just that not only has there been no fix so far, but this has become a lot worse in the last month. That's why I decided to report it.

Thanks for the report and all the info. We are constantly trying to resolve and reduce those issues as described and it already got better over the last couple of weeks/months. But as you said, it is still happening and that's why we have to keep doing what we did and have a solution for it as soon as possible. Unfortunately, I cannot tell you when this is completely resolved but rest assured we are on it.

Some news here: The game runs much better in Microsoft Edge (92.0.902.55). It's a bit strange as it also uses Chromium, but maybe that's a hint.
