    Faction Boss Event update:

Not a fan. Just really irritated. The faction part was done in less than an hour up to the kamala. Leaving 90% of the faction Having spent with scopely for no engagement. Kamala is proving impossible to obtain. Bundy was not the boss breaker and I had far better cards I'd rather have taken up to gold.

Honestly, I just do not like the specific character layout. I didn't like it with showdown and I do not like it as the faction boss layout. Let us each play to our strengths.

Congrats to those that got full points.

Shame, I was really looking forward to faction boss, but this one left me wondering why I spent any money on the game.

    *******************************************

I understand you'd like feedback of playing the event itself, but I'm finding myself a bit lost reading the blog and trying to interpet what is meant by the boss having a weakness for say botch gems. I'm sure for players that have seen and played for a while the words don't mean as much and they are looking at the numbers. But for a newer player I have no idea what the pictures are indicating and have yet to locate anything that tells me what a "Botch" gem does so I cannot figure out how that would help defeat the boss. My understanding of the gems such as these are that they are typically triggered by either you or your rival breaking the gem. As the we take turns with the boss and I've learned you absolutely do not want to be frozen or for him to heal from the previous 2 I fail to be able to work out how these weakness work.

So I guess my feedback is for some sort of ingame guide to what each gem does. Some you can tell, such as pyros are like fireworks going up and snowfall is snow coming down and the gems mimic their names. However silence? Botch? Power?

I'd also like to see something in say the blog about the faction boss say if all these boosts and buffs compound.

It's all quite overwhelming for a new player and so much of it is difficult to learn by reading the blogs.

I did enjoy the previous 2 boss battles, so I look forward to this one as well. I'd just like to be able read the game like the senior players do instead of just doing as told and using this player or that player. :)

    What I Liked

    * Roster & Superstar Variety: The game's biggest strength is its expansive and ever-growing roster. The inclusion of classic legends, current superstars, and even NXT talent is fantastic. The character models are generally well-done, and the unique movesets for each superstar add a layer of authenticity. The ability to collect and upgrade different versions of the same superstar (e.g., "The Rock 'Attitude Era'") is a great collector's mechanic.

    * Match-3 Gameplay with a Twist: The core match-3 gameplay is engaging and addictive. The integration of signature moves, finishers, and trainers into the gem-matching mechanic is a clever way to blend the puzzle genre with the wrestling theme. When you get a massive cascade of gems and hit a finisher, it's a very satisfying feeling.

    * Faction System & Community: The Faction system is a huge positive. It encourages teamwork, competition, and a sense of community. The Faction Feuds and Boss Battles are great ways to engage with other players and work towards a common goal. Being part of a strong faction significantly enhances the gameplay experience.

    * Regular Content Updates: The game is constantly updated with new events, contests, and superstars. This keeps the game fresh and gives players something to look forward to every week. The thematic events, like those tied to WWE pay-per-views, are a nice touch.

What Could Be Improved (Areas for Improvement)

    1. Contests & Events:

    * Difficulty & Time Commitment: The difficulty of certain contests, especially those requiring specific rarities or trainers, can be very high for free-to-play (F2P) players. The time commitment required for many events, especially faction feuds and tours, is extremely demanding. It often feels like a full-time job to complete all the milestones.

    * Rewards & Loot: The rewards for many events, especially for the time and effort invested, can be underwhelming. Loot boxes and milestone rewards often yield low-tier tokens or superstars that are not useful for a player at a higher level. There is a "feast or famine" feeling, where you either get an amazing pull or a lot of junk.

    * Milestone Structure: The milestone system can be frustrating. Often, the final milestones are designed to be nearly impossible to reach without significant spending. This creates a sense of futility for players who are just trying to complete the event without spending.

    2. Economy & Progression:

    * Lack of Resources: The biggest bottleneck in the game is the lack of resources, especially coins, tokens, and TP. Upgrading superstars, especially at higher rarities, is incredibly expensive and time-consuming. It can take weeks or even months to level up a single superstar to a competitive level.

    * Loot Box (Loot) System: The loot box system can be a major source of frustration. The drop rates for top-tier superstars and resources feel very low. While the "mega superstars" and featured loot are exciting, it often feels like a gamble with a low chance of a return. A more transparent or predictable system, perhaps with a pity timer or guaranteed pull after a certain number of tries, would be beneficial.

Add Bulk Purchase Options: This is a top priority for improving the user experience. Implement a slider or a quantity input field that allows players to buy items in bulk (e.g., 10, 50, 100, or max available). This simple change would save players countless clicks and make the shop much more efficient and pleasant to use.

    * Streamline Shop UI: Reorganize the shop's layout to be more intuitive. Use clear categories and a search function to help players find what they need quickly.

    1. Why I like the game: It's WWE and Match 3 together what's not to like. The robust roster definitely is a plus.

    2. Likes or Improvements needed: I like some of the new changes in the overall look of the game. It has streamlined some processes in the game.

Improvements needed - Some of the chase characters seem way too hard to get. I think it is good to work to get a character, but sometimes they seem to be too hard to get or only for big spenders.

Steel Cage - Why is this mandatory in almost all of the tours. Tours are great but if they seem to be steered to making us gamers waste resources then we may stop playing those. I know when I see it's steel Cage requirements, I groan.

Overall I love the game. Just please make sure the good experience is not only for those who spend money on the game.

Definitely a good boss battle. Good variety of useful CSS and the rewards are for the most part reasonably achievable. Would have liked to have had more month long contest points and Bundy shards attached. Other than that I don't have any complaints

Well, the boss battle itself was fair. But I didn't have the chance to contribute much to my faction. As a European player, BB starts at 11 pm. As I was sleeping early (ok, my mistake 😉) , all tasks were done in the morning. Maybe tasks should be spread over the day. Then factions have tasks all over the time and not just at the beginning.

The tours were also fair. So in the a nice battle with not much to do for me

Boss battle was doable this time around, which was nice. Best bosses are those that don't screw you over if you mess up T1. Also nice that there were more characters who could reasonably down him.

Tours were okay. The larger issue is that Bundy himself is quite underwhelming and makes it more of a chore than it should be to get through his stuff. Not good.

Feedback for the Ugandan Giant Faction Boss:

    Tours:

Unlike previous weekends, the tours had viable CSS options with which we could actually win because there was a path for us this time around, so it didn’t feel impossible to complete the matches.

    Prizewall:

The plate options are great this time around and a lot more diversity than what we usually get to see during Boss weekends, so that feels nice. Some of the older plates have been reasonably priced so there’s something for everyone, along with newer plates being there as well. The shard and contest straps are unreasonably priced, making them not so lucrative to chase.

    The Boss Battle:

The boss fight itself was reasonably challenging and didn’t feel like it was designed specifically for top end factions, so the experience was fun and engaging, as there was a decent number of posters that could perform fairly well against the boss. Some players reported issues such as being kicked out of the faction boss lobby making it impossible for them to start or join a lobby, latency in moves being registered against the boss. These issues have been plaguing us for some time now and the in game support has not been helpful in this regard.

    MLC chase poster shards:

We have been shorted on the premium shards this weekend. As per the MLC Blog, there were supposed to be 100 premium michelle shards this weekend and we were offered zero. There were also supposed to be 100 premium Bundy shards but there are only 80 in premium milestones. I hope this is looked into and the players are reimbursed for making into the “premium” milestones but not getting the advertised shards. It’s demoralising to do what we are expected to do in order to get to the said milestones only for them to not have the previously stated/advertised rewards.

    Suggestions:

The Ugandan Giant Contest Bag offers 5k-40k medallions. While I understand that it’s intended to have a RNG element to it, but since it’s a ”bonus” milestone and requires the faction to spend on the weekend chase and acquire it, the huge gap in the minimum and maximum amount should be shrunken a little bit. Instead of 5k to 40k, it should be 10K to 40K. It’s disheartening to grind for half a day only to get 5k from the bag, that too when we are spending on the premium posters such as Kamala and are using posters previously spent on- such as Ron Simmons who’s a CSS for boss battles.

Another suggestion would be to stay true to your words and offer the advertised premium shards so there can be mutual trust between players and developers.

    Final thoughts:

A good weekend slightly dampened by the impending issues, shortening of shards and the RNG results being disappointing for many.

I think faction boss is a very organized event. Rewards are accesible if your faction competes in the event. The only thing is that with free tokens available most of the time you cant get anything. So I would encourage taking that into consideration. Also adding specific type of shards woulf be nice to evolve superstars

Overall I thought this was an enjoyable boss battle weekend. I was able to get my 4 level 23 battles done fairly quickly and then help my faction with the faction tasks, which I thought were varied enough so that all roster sizes could contribute. My only query for this event would be how many people were using King Kong Bundy? Last month, Big Boss Man was a vey useful character in boss battle, but this time around I think the buffs/strategy required missed the mark a bit in terms of promoting the A tier monthly character. Still a fun weekend event though. Solo and Faction contests both had fine rewards in the milestones. And it's always exciting to have a character who's never been in the game before.

Tours. Good amount of tours, and a good variety of CSS. I think this is something that has generally been good all month. Not a lot to say about it really. I like the tour using the B tier. I like the challenge mode tour. Maybe I'm too easy to please? Anyway, I like it, keep it up!

I thought the prizewall was solid for this event, and better than most of the others we've had this month, which have sometimes felt underwhelming. A good selection of plates, including the new one. The shards available were all good choices, but there could have been a slightly bigger selection. Having a full 6 star poster available is so good for new players, so I think it is important for this to continue going forward. Medals and straps feel very overpriced to me… I don't buy them but maybe other people are? Either way, I would generally buy plates/shards/posters/moments so doesn't matter to me personally. Having the coins/tokens/TP as a lower priced option is always good for spending the last bit of currency.

    Looking forward to next MLC!

Overall I thought it was a good boss battle event. There were multiple viable options for beating the boss, and the tours offered a fair amount of variety. The prize wall had a decent amount of more unique plates and rewards this time, which was welcome.

The only cons I can think of was the bag at the end of the faction milestones was wildly variable, but for the most part seemed to give people decent rewards.

A thought for potential improvement on the boss battles would be if people could also get extra individual points to make extra progress in the milestones by grinding the faction boss.

One last thought is that the faction boss shop is very out of date. The only thing at this point the points are useful for is the shards of the promoters (like the Rock) or the mass shards for evolves. It would be nice to update the medals to Tier 6 instead of 5 and the titles being something enticing, as well as something else to save or work towards.

Solid weekend technically as I didn't really have any glitches or technical issues during this battle.

I really enjoyed being able to use plates in this boss battle as it makes it more fun an that’s ultimately what the game is all about.

If I had a recommendation on how to improve the game I think adding commas to the damage numbers would be a great improvement. Some characters hitting 50-300 million damage now makes it hard to tell or in the move upgrade screen when it’s a bunch of numbers all put together with no spacing or commas can be hard to read.

    Pretty Enjoyable weekend this weekend.

    Tours were good, fair css.

Boss Battle was good too, my faction had completed everything fairly quick so there was no horrible grind.

Prizewall was pretty good, shards were priced well, having the 1,300 skill plates was great so I didn't have to just waste currency on coin. The belts are extremely overpriced though.

Favorite Thing this weekend was getting a new classic character in the game.

Loved the vibe of this weekend’s BB event! The structure was nicely balanced not too hard, which made it super chill and fun. Dropping the steel cage rule was a great call, once in a while it’s good to have some relief and it really added to the enjoyment. So, Kudos to the team for nailing down this one and blending fun with just the right amount of challenge made this event a total blast.

The tours were again very accessible, no paywall characters, and the CSS variation was spot on as always. You folks consistently kill it with those!

The faction event was solid too, easy to jump into and not overly demanding, which was ideal for a relaxed weekend. The final milestone with the RNG bag was a highlight; I got lucky and pulled 35K PW currency, securing some great prize wall rewards. While not everyone was on the same boat, I’d love to see the plate return to the bag alongside the currency, as it was in the past. I’m still unsure why it was removed but bringing it back would give players a chance at new stuff or atleast something to show for their efforts.

The prize wall stood out this time, better than most we’ve had this month. The plate selection was pretty solid including the new one, it was great and the shards distribution was solid too. But again the CSS straps were utterly ridiculous for the price tag, felt way too high. Except that everything was spot on and there’s something valuable for each individual.

One thing i recommend is that It’d be awesome to get previously MLC superstar shards being available on the PW. Adding those 3k and 5k shard releases on weekend walls would be a big win. That’d help new or any returning players to catch up on any missed opportunities.

Overall, this event was a refreshing breather before the next MLC. Thanks for putting up the great work, hoping future events keep the chill vibes and offers even better payouts for our efforts :)

I thought it was a decent boss battle event.
The boss battle itself - possibly just for the top factions with Hornswoggle etc, but it was very easy and didn’t even get to the second turn at all. After a few hours there was nothing more to do. The day 2 tasks are usually a good idea to add the extra interest.

The tours offered a fair amount of variety, though the rewards were just okay. I’m not to sure why some weekends you have shard bags with a chance at the superstar and some you don’t. That’s always a nice feature.

The prize wall was decent though missing moments. It is nice to have those as an option. The good stuff was out of reach unless you got lucky with the faction bag at the end. A tad unfair to some but I get that the game is rng.

The faction boss shop could use a bit of an overhaul. The shards of the promoters and others are handy, but nothing else to spend on really. It would be nice to update the medals to Tier 6 instead of 5 and the titles could be for promoters, as well as perhaps hall of fame tokens or how about random moments.

    No glitches which is good.

  • Cheeseman69

What I liked? Great prizewall with plenty of plate options. I think maybe some cheaper shard/plate options for newer players who can't get many medallions would've been nice.

Great That maxxing the faction event could get you a good chunk of medallions if you were lucky.

    Tour were fine.

The boss itself was fine. But what I didnt lile is last month it was stated that the A tier chase would be great for the boss l, but then this month that just wasn't the case, which is frustrating if you invested a lot of resources into Bundy for little reward in doing so. It would be great to see some consistency with this if it is going to be a reoccurring theme.

From one of your prior blog posts: “We’re putting the spotlight back where it belongs: on funfairness, and strategic domination. Your feedback drives our decisions.” *busts up laughing* that is the biggest bold face I have ever heard from Scopely. Why do you keep asking for constructive criticism for every single event? You RARELY listen to the players as all you do is mostly copy and paste the same events (from previous showdowns, faction feuds, boss battles) with their janky issues along with the same old bugs and technical issues which the only difference is changing the bonus superstars needed and the name

That being said, you want constructive criticism? here it is and it’s not just for this event (as you don’t even care to listen to most of the player base as a whole and I’m following from a page from your own playbook by just copying and pasting myself from a note on my phone):

First of all, I know this is a business but please, Please… PLEASE!!!! leave the 100% pay to lose (as I don’t think it’s pay to win as the odds are highly against the player) events OUT of the game!!! If the players want to spend, it should be out of our own decision and instead of Fear of Missing Out tactics to satisfy your bottom line!

Also, please don’t make tasks so massive grinds… sometimes I feel this game can sometimes be a second job. A prime examples is Showdown events of deal an over inflated number of damage with a worthless wrestler/faction for just ONE point!

Can you please put something in that a player needs to put some effort into faction events to be able to access milestones in that event. It is annoying that there are countless times that I see people who don’t put any work in and yet they get all the rewards.

For feuds: FIX THE F’ING MATCHMAKING!!! I have lost count of how many times I get matched with someone having 3 30k talent opponent when I have 4 22.5k talent people. Make it be based on a persons average not but the total sum. Also, provide more than just one opening for 2 players. It gets annoying to be matched with someone with two to three times more talent and have more options can be choose more on who to team up with instead of praying for someone not going balls to the wall.

Please put a damn cap (90% maximum) on Gem and Move Offense & Defense from medals and belts in Feuds and Showdowns (mainly anything player versus player) as it gets really annoying seeing setups that can kill AI opponents with ease get EXTREMELY nerfed in Showdown and Feuds because someone’s RNG luck was better. I faced opponents with 150 up to 300%+ gem and move defense, HOW IN THE WIDE WORLD OF SPORTS IS THAT FAIR!?!?! Oh and to all those who say “just configure your character better”, I do the best I can with what the game’s RNG does for me and I still get shafted up the glutes so stuck it in your ear with the “get good” comments. It’s not balanced, it’s totally unfair to players who are unlucky like me and to any player I see who has a character in showdowns and fued like that can go jump into a volcano for all I care. Also, please give the AI random medals in stead of the best stuff because it gets really annoying seeing them with top stuff while I’m dealing with trash due to RNG BS.

For Showdowns- Please make the per battle wins seem more worth the time. Example: the Power-Up Showdown, it doesn’t matter if players are in the NXT Division or the Undisputed Champion Division, a victory is worth JUST 55 evo tokens… kinda lame for those in higher divisions. Also, just 200 showdown coins for a regular showdown win, regardless which division is kinda lame too. Showdown battles in higher divisions take longer so it the rewards should reflect that.

Please lay off the steel cage rules. I swear it’s on every single event and it’s not even creative, it’s just straight up Grade A Laziness! Also, if there’s a limitation for players, PUT IT ON THE AI AS WELL!!! I think it’s complete bs that players can’t use some combination of belts, medals, trainers, or entourage BUT THE AI DOESNT HAVE THE SAME RESTRICTIONS… SERIOUSLY WTMFH?!?!?! I bet the players can come up with something WAY better than your ignorant developers can come up with.

For Boss Battles, PLEASE disable the move animations in this mode as time is limited per turn and they eat up so much time. Also, please reduce bosses health as battles aren’t supposed to be slogs due to janky mechanics… and please give us SOMETHING when players try and fail to beat the boss as nothing irks me more than spending minutes to get NOTHING when the boss defeats the players.

Can you also run recycling opportunities more often as even after the last event, my inventory is still filled with junk that’s from years ago. I would think clearing out all that useless junk would help the game run smoother… but what do I know as I’m not a programmer or developer.

How about when someone wants to quit a match, give us the option right away and not when it’s just our turn. I hate it when I’m stuck in a stun lock for over multiple turns and have to wait til I get pinned due to the pin bar taking ages to get there.

Someone please explain to me why when a screwup by your guys that when the player base is benefited by your boneheadedness it gets fixed immediately and anything that helps the company bottom line, it takes slower than a slug sliding through salt?

LASTLY- CAN YOU PLEASE POST THE BLOG POST FOR THE EVENTS ON YOUR BLOG AT THE SAME TIME AS YOU HAVE SOMEONE OVERANALYZING IT ON TWITCH AND TAKE FIVE TIMES AS LONG TO READ THE SAME M’FING THING!!!!

Also, please post on the blog for EVERY event as I hate seeing these mid-week events and get NOTHING in the blog saying about them which makes me think it’s just going to be a pay to lose event that is used to line your profits even more

And finally… can you please have some competent programmer to have actual links that works for your Facebook posts back to your blog… as it is almost comical that you have a link that doesn’t work time after time!

    Positives:

    • Engaging Boss Design: This boss battle felt much more accessible than previous ones. The fight was reasonably challenging but didn’t feel exclusive to top factions, allowing a wider player base to participate meaningfully. Multiple viable characters made the experience strategic and enjoyable.
    • Tour Design: The tour matches had a clear and fair structure. The CSS choices were viable and winnable for both spenders and F2P players, unlike previous weekends where tours were locked behind impossible matchups or unavailable CSS.
    • Prizewall Improvements: There was noticeable variety and quality in this event’s prizewall. Some older plates were more reasonably priced, and the inclusion of newer ones gave all players something to chase. This was a step forward in catering to different tiers of players.

    Areas for Improvement:

    • Inaccessible Premium Shards: The MLC blog advertised 100 Michelle McCool shards and 100 Bundy shards, but players received none or less than stated. This inconsistency undermines trust in advertised rewards. Players who reached premium milestones through effort or spending deserve to receive what was promised.
    • Over-Reliance on RNG in Rewards: The contest bag with 5K–40K medallions felt too heavily skewed toward the lower end. When this bag is tied to faction spending and high-level milestones, the reward range should feel more balanced (e.g., 10K–40K) to avoid frustrating outcomes for active players.
    • Technical & UI Concerns: Ongoing bugs like lobby disconnections and delayed move registrations continue to plague the faction boss experience. These technical issues severely impact playability and coordination, especially in time-sensitive modes. New players also struggle to understand gem mechanics (e.g., botch, silence), so in-game guides or clearer blog explanations would be extremely helpful.

    Suggestions:

    • Provide in-game descriptions or tutorials for gem types and effects to support newer players in understanding mechanics like “botch” or “silence.”
    • Ensure advertised milestone rewards are accurate and delivered to maintain transparency and trust.
    • Adjust RNG mechanics in contest bags to offer more fair and consistent rewards.
    • Add bulk purchase options in the shop for smoother UX and time efficiency.

How does it feel to paraphrase what I said and plagiarise all of my points just by changing the grammar and language structure a little bit? Hell, even your “Eg” values is copied from mine(10k-40k). Is this to what players are stooping for a chance to win a giveaway reward?

Other than your first suggestion, everything else is copied from mine. Have a little bit of decency and originality?

Edit: The latter text is basically an edited, reorganized, and cleaner version of MY raw feedback. It looks like someone(or an AI, or an editor) turned my human-like draft into a more formal, bulleted summary.

I don’t know what the rules say on this but mods- please look into this. I spend a good amount of time to come up with my own feedbacks and its saddening to see someone use an AI tool or seek someone’s help and steal my work just to participate in the giveaway
