Love the concept of steel cage rules. However 99mp makes it all but pointless. I suggest all posters should be on a similar playing field. Perks are fine but anyone with 99mp should not have it in Steel Cage rules, I want there to be a challenge to try and maneuver around each set of rules.

I like this mode. I know some will not agree with me but it levels the playing field. The card without all the bells and whistles compared to all the other modes people can use it there. Your card against my card for the most part and some strategy needed on match ups. Please don't change it.

I was super pumped for the competition this week since Raph has always been my favorite turtle. However upon looking at the contest to obtain those pizza slices to get my boy, my jaw dropped. Each loot coin gives you 182 pts that means to max the competition at 2,500,000 pts a faction would need to collectively spend 13,737 loot coins. At 55 coins per mega pull at $100 that means a faction would need to collectively spend almost $25000 in only 3 days.
Math:
2,500,000 / 182 = 13,736.2637
13,736.2637 / 55 = 249.75025 (separate mega pulls)
249.75025 x 100(dollars per mega pull) = 24,975.025 Dollars
As a player seeing those high of numbers makes me want to try less to get points in this competition. Maxing this competition seems as close to impossible as it gets. So why should we as players even try?
Suggestions to potentially fix this:
- Make each loot coin spent count for more points towards contest.
- Make Pizza slices more available not just in the contest rewards but also in showdown rewards, maybe in a TMNT themed tour.
- Lower points needed to max the contest.
It is only day one of this competition so obviously idk what else could be in store but this was my instant reaction. As a player I don’t want to wince when I see a contest. I want to feel determined. This contest did not accomplish that feeling for me.
I would love to get others input and ideas about this contest.

I think the mode is cool. The +99 mp is fine as the reqs still make it difficult and if you get the chases it rewards you. Only difficult part is having all these contests go on at the same time. It's quite a lot to keep up with each of them

The idea of negating entourage and belts kind of levels the playing field a little bit. The cage match game mode is a pretty neat addition to the game. I love the whole TMNT contest. The only thing I don't like or would change is the amount of pizza slices you get out of pizza boxes and the contest of faction spending. Because I've spent over $70 and haven't been able to get near enough pizza slices to get anything good like Raphael Rey mysterio or even any of the plates. But all in all this has been an amazing contest and I'm a huge TMNT fan. So to combine wwe and tmnt is awesome.

Love the contest just wish for more ways to get pizza slices then relying on my faction to spend alot of money. I am a huge TMNT fan and Raphael is my 2nd favorite turtle but I still want to get him because all the gameplay I've seen of him has been awesome. Please make there be more ways to get pizza slices 🙏. But all in all these last two weeks has been the best contest yall have had especially doing it during the bloodline month because nobody likes the bloodline. So this contest has made me more interested in the game this month. Also I can't wait for my favorite month zombies month.

Things I am liking:
The Steel Cage Rules allows new players and players with average rosters to be at an equal footing with players that have bigger rosters and are better equipped as it negates the boosts and gives a fair opportunity to average players to have a good standing on the leaderboards.
The 99MP posters are also boosted which I like because it rewards players who have consistently been grinding to unlock the “chase” posters.
Without these “rules” i wouldn’t stand a chance against those players who set up their defences with top notch posters, titles, skill plates etc.
Steel cage stipulations make it easier for many of us to get wins as it levels the playing field.
Now it truly feels like grinding the Showdown Tournament is worth it!Things I am not liking:
Seth TMNT on Hell mode in the new tours is loaded turn 1 with his submission move and without entourage and props, it was very difficult to take him down. You cannot use your own submissions on him because of his “reversal” move. So you can’t use MP trainers, props and on top of that he can easily sub you and keep you down. This is a bit unfair. I like a challenge as long as the challenge is fair.
My suggestions:What I would have done if I was in your shoes is that I would change Seth’s equipped moveset so he doesn’t take his Reversal move in the battle to even the odds a bit OR I would allow players to either take entourage or enable props to make the fight a bit fair.
Another one of my suggestions would be that communication is something we can all work on. While I am liking the Steel Cage Rules mode, what I would prefer is if we were communicated why we are having this new mode. I think if we understand your intentions better, we will be able to understand you better and that allows us to come up with impactful and meaningful feedback, whether it is positive or negative.
Overall, I am liking the new changes and hope we will see them in future from time to time. As long as things are fair, I wouldn’t mind a challenge

*Heads Up: I use the word whales to describe players that spend heavily on this game. This term is not me being disrespectful, I am just using the same terminology as the content creators in this community.
COWABUNGA PRIZEWALL MEDALLIONS:
I believe there was way more prize wall points available in the first week compared to the second week or even in the premium milestones for the Cowabunga Solo Contest. Where I am slightly confused is why is there only 2 prize wall medallion bags in the first Cowbunga Premium Milestone and then there is no more prize wall medallion bags afterwards. If this is supposed to be similar to all of the other contests we have had so far, there has been more bags available the higher you go in the premium milestones. It takes away the goal of climbing those premium milestones for just a small 9K to 10K prize wall medallions. It is worrying that the prize wall medallions are strongly stored behind pay to win especially with a daily spend boost and a daily events spend reward. I am not a F2P player and I have for sure spent a lot of money on the game because I can or enjoy it, its just worrying to see so much of the new modes or MLC characters are pay to win. Again for a lot of whales sure dropping a down payment for a car on the game might not be an issue, but the mark was missed when considering the other half of the player base who cannot spend so much on the game to earn prize wall medallions. Its upsetting to see the pizza prize wall is a faction loot competition when it should've been a solo loot competition. I don't advise anyone in my faction to spend money on the game or will ever push anyone on how to spend their money which is why this faction loot competition only benefits the top factions which are filled with whales.
STEEL CAGE GAMEMODE:
I think having a new gamemode is great especially if we can start adding it into the rotation and we won't be stuck with just showdown, blitz, or extreme rules during the entire WLC. It adds a new way of having to strategize for which characters will be the most effective, however, if you have a CSS character from the previous MLC that is all out of the window. For example, I can use any Ilja and just run his black, green, green finisher combo and sweep through everyone. The reason I can do that is because of the +99 MP.
This issue can be a blessing and a curse for all players;
Blessing: if you grinding your butt off in the previous MLC and have unlocked the characters then you gain the advantage for the hard work put in and can use your prize to sweep through the showdown battles.
Curse: This means the whales will gain an even stronger advantage for unlocking the newest MLC characters asap, however for those that are running fully free to play they will have a harder time pushing them away from the new gamemode. We have seen the community complain about this before when dealing with having to use CSS superstars for an advantage (example: Hall of Fame Blitz during kickoff, and some extreme rules battles especially the health-based ones).
SUMMARY:
If we are going to use the steel cage mode the entire week, the rewards are the same but for a slower grind for F2P players, whereas the whales can just blast through. The rewards will need to be reworked to match the level of grind it takes the F2P to get it done. I like to think of it as bottleneck method which is all non-premium milestones should be set up for how the slowest player or F2P player will take. The premium milestones will still require purchase for loot drops or stronger CSS characters, but the fundamental needs to be revisited because this is likely to become a classic gamemode and part of the rotation.Overall, should you take away MP trainers then there is no reason to keep the +99 MP during those gamemodes as well as it gives a strong advantage to half (Not sure what percentage of the player base are whales) of your player base. The gamemode rewards will need to be tweaked to match the grind it takes to get the rewards. I know for now its only impacting the Cowabunga Solo Contest (which needs way more prize wall medallions available for players, and is currently difficult to climb without dropping a down payment for a car).

Hello the event is going quite nice till now and the steel cage rules in SD are very good the faction loot coin event can be made even better its prizewall itself is nothing special apart from Rey and why would people spend 20-25k dollars just for Rey's poster the points are also very less if I say so on a clear tour then this is an impossible task you must also know this is not a regular event that out of box planning should be done it is not known when the TMNT event will come again its reward should be maximum any unique event is successful only when it gets maximum rewards those who got what here You will never get it again I am not saying that everyone should get it easily but there should be a chance of it as well This should be a little out of the box calculation You want to earn money, everyone wants to earn money in their own field but it should mean that there should be some other ways and not just spending it on earning pizza slices by playing. Suggestions. Pizza slices box should be kept in the tour 1 2 in TMNT tour. You should keep one chest case in faction rank reward in which there should be Rey's poster and pizza slices medallion. I'm enjoying the new steel cage perks and nerfs rules as they create a different challenge in the game, however I think you could have been smarter with the win conditions. It would have been great to see this mode feel like a steel cage match. The game play is just like every standard match, deal enough damage and you win.
For me, it would have been great opportunity to create a back and forth gem breaking mode, which does not rely on how much damage you can do, but what moves are most effective. A bit like the new stip mode but taken a little further.
My idea - If the win condition was "first to break 200 green gems to climb out of the cage" and breaking purple gems deducted from that total it could feel like a battle. You would need to decide whether to attack your opponent with purple gems or attempt to escape with green. The varying colour/special gem combinations could mean you have to utilise many more posters in your roster in order to attack or defend effectively. Perks and nerfs could still be utilised effectively to add to the experience.

I've played and enjoyed the new steel cage rules. I look forward to seeing how they change. This seems like a good way to get us to use other posters more. The +99 mp doesn't help but the steel cage rules could compensate for that if ever needed. I'd like to see an additional way to get energy though because as a low spender if I dont have 5 dollars i can't keep playing.

Having a Spend Only contest by itself is a bad idea. Contests should always be a combination of F2P and P2P so everyone participates.
Having a Spend Only contest at the end of the month is also not a good idea. A lot of players budget how much they will spend each month on the game, and at this point a lot of players have already maxed their budget.
The worst part however is the $$$ cost to reach the milestones in this contest. TWENTY-FIVE THOUSAND US DOLLARS for a faction to reach the gold chest. The amount players are expected to spend on this contest is beyond the pale.
We are disappointed. The Scopely team has done an amazing job with content and support of the game this year. Transparency has increased and you've listened to player input. Many players already spend a lot of money on this game, and putting this Spend Only contest out there is just an unnecessary money grab.
We would like to see in the future that all contests at least be a mix of P2P and F2P so all players can participate, and we are given a chance to reach milestones without only having to spend.

Where to start with this one….
Love the fact that we got TNMT after the question kept popping up in the player surveys so it’s nice to see that the feedback from those surveys seems to be taken note of and not just a meaningless task so 👏 for that!
Loving the fact you have to get more creative with use of your roster to really benefit and make the matches more of a challenge. It also gets to throw back and make use of moments within the game that haven’t been utilised in a while.
Constructively I would say the spend event part of it will rule out a lot of the more casual player base as that final milestone is out of reach for most factions.
I would also like to see on the steel cage matches reduce all MP to basics. Great if your using a month long or chase who has the +99mp but that defeats the objective of being a more challenging mode.But overall positive improvements.

I like this idea, it’s an interesting concept. With minor tweets it could be great. The 99MP guys make all the rules go out the window, but it’s all part the game strategy I guess too.
when you remove all the entourage it’s more about how lucky your board is and then can you slog it out. As the matches can then become really slow with entourage and belts removed.Such an awesome idea of leveling the playing field, but the points and scoring doesn’t provide much of an incentive to drag on. The perks should be tailored to try and have you use certain people, which it sort of is, but everyone is so nerfed that by the time you get to where you can utilize those perks you’re kind of bored of swiping.
Great first out the gate, could use tweeks for sure.

I am always down for something new and something creative. I like the idea of switching up the normal of picking your go to character and fighting. With this new mode it requires thinking outside the box and trying something new.
I look forward to seeing how it will play out in feuds.

Personally I am really happy that the devs are bringing brand new content. The steel cage mode is fun, inventive and gets players thinking about their strategy which can only be a good thing. Players are fully aware of 99mp as well as posters with 1mp moves so if they don’t want to fight them they just need to refresh the choices.
I also don’t mind a spend only event either, especially when it is additional content as this tmnt event is. However, every prize should be realistic and the latter milestones are hugely overpriced.I’d like Scopely to really consider milestones as it’s important that players have incentives to go for the top objectives but when they are outright impossible (piper plate for anyone under league 16) or damn near impossible ($25k faction spend in a week) this is very down heartening!

The steel cage stipulations is very interesting concept. It adds another level of planning and preparing. I think it adds more life to the game.
As we invest more into these crossover characters, I think it would be important to know if the characters, plates, moments, ect will only be available for a limited amount of time.

A nice change a pace that requires a little more thinking on player setup and defense. I would like you to consider removing the promoters as well to level the playing field a little more. I have promoters leveled up but it is such a disadvantage for those that don't have those players yet.

I love the steel cage rules! They bring some freshness to SD by making us think about our loadouts and strategies in new ways. It was so fun to start with no entourage, but to be able to get MP boosts through tag links and gears instead. And then to see how much extra damage we were doing through damage buffs? That was unexpected and a lot of fun. Keep up the good work, and maybe we can see a GeMania event like this in the future, where we can earn a significantly higher amount of GeMania PW currency (like we do in special SD events).

The steel cage is an interesting mode. While I like how it changes the strategy and focuses on the individual superstar's strenghts/weaknesses, it can seem unfair. If I do not get to enjoy my entourage, why should the opponent? If my moves start at zero, the opponent should start at zero as well.
Plus it seems to favor any superstar that has a 1 turn move.
On the good side, it encourages you to try different move sets instead of the same combo time and time again.Any chance we can get a view of them battling in a cage?

I love the idea of changing the game up a little bit.. bit by not being able to use straps plates etc... that we have bought towards or earned is wrong... you should do 1 week of extreme rules and the 2nd week of steel cage... not use it for feud, showdown

I said this in my overall feedback mostly, but I figured reiterate some of my points and expound on them now that I've played a bit more. Overall I really would like LIMITED implementation of this (this is key; I think there are times that we all like a bit of challenge and switch-up, but any consistent Cage Match stuff might get a bit frustrating). It's overall a very simple but intelligent way to switch up gameplay. I do think that it's a bit much as is (in the sense of taking Plates AND nerfing certain gems AND taking props AND Entourages AND having CSS requirements in a limited time, energy-dependent mode is quite the lift), but I also understand why it was done as such. If you didn't really drastically change it, it wouldn't feel too different. My main problem is how many bonus matches are expected with such tight energy windows. That and, in future iterations of the implementation, I'd imagine there will be more advance notice and more familiarity will breed quicker adaptation, in which case that's all well and good.
My friendly suggestions would be:
- Don't utilize this mode too often. Personally, I think an overuse of it would begin to get frustrating.
- Have it be a bit more like Faction Boss in choosing what to modify. FB absolutely switches up strategies, but what we're doing now is essentially Faction Boss with no Entourages, skill plates, or props with it being a SD tourney with a short duration and very little energy available. That's a bit…let's just say intense.
There are the bones of an excellent mode here, it just needs to be used sparingly and polished a bit. Thanks for hearing me out.

So, just my .02 about this new setup: it's interesting to see and fun to try and think of ways to work through a new obstacle, however, the reason I came to the forum was to highlight this disparity. WE the players cannot use our entourage or props in this tour, however, the AI opponent is juiced to the gills. This one breach of confidence, by itself, has sparked outrage within my and other factions. This is seen as a slap in the face, an "f-u" to the players, and it should be rectified. The STEEL CAGE was designed to "level the playing field" for both wrestlers, not just one. Thank you.

For the love of God, please scrap this steel cage idea. It is absolutely ridiculous, we worked for years to obtain perks and the like and now they are worthless? What good is this doing anybody?? Maybe fix all the other issues with the game before adding new things, money isn't everything.

First of all why is the comment section all the way at the bottom?
The concept is good.. but needs alot of tweaks. We spend money sometimes for coins for plates or moments even props and then they are restricted in play?
The contest today where you have to buy a coin to progress is frankly unacceptable.. this game is meant to be fun.. challenging not money grabbing and disappointing.
There's not a fair balance between earning pizzas and how much stuff cost of the pizza wall.. its unachievable unless you have the scopely master account.
Have you never tried playing your own game as someone like us who doesn't have half the roaster or plates or entourage or props.. I can go on.. you really need to play your own game as a beginner and see how hard it is to achieve even a few milestones..
That brings me to another point why aren't your milestones fairly level out? They go from like 6000 to 200000 to 750000 to 2.5 million.. while you lower the chances of competing in contest and earning contest points..
I have decided after buying the backstage pass for the pass four months and other content packages.. im not longer willing to participate in purchases anymore. I have brought more this month than ever and have not won on featured or even decent roaster member.
Last point.. shards getting 9 shards for a fight.. come on.. get it together.
The concept should be the more people can progress the more time they spend playing in the game.. you are putting players off..

I'll keep saying it.. prizewall points and evo tokens do not belong in money brought coin pulls.. or tp or money.
Shards.. just do a shards loot section.. and let us earn our shard coins.. im sick of getting shards for roaster talent that I don't use or won't ever use and certainly wouldn't spend my resources building up..
Think of players as part of your team.. without us, you have no game. Stop robbing us..

We envolved step by step with entourage,perks,props,titles, plates and now moments to improve the game , now you totally shutdown the improvements of this game just think it's no problem for higher lvl players and spending guys cos they have turn 1 or 2 superstars so that's always suffers lower lvl players they even can't enter in hell mode. So please remove these kinda bullshit it's pointless thank you.
