Here is my breakdown of this event and why I give it an 8/10
    Pros:

    • Open first slot for any poster: This flexibility is great for allowing players to use their favorite posters.
    • Smooth event: A well-run event is essential for a good player experience.
      Cons:
    • No defensive wins: Earning defensive wins would add another layer of strategy to the showdown event.
      Prize Wall:
    • Good items: The prize wall offered a variety of desirable items.
    • Some overpriced items: Not all items were priced competitively.
Overall, l enjoyed the showdown event despite the lack of defensive wins and some overpriced items on the prize wall. Getting the final boss rock poster sounds like a great accomplishment!

Must say overall for a showdown weekend anyone that is Free to play and dosent have most of what was required css wise would have really struggled to even get that last gold milestone.

Having limited rocks as CSS for one of the tours is crazy considering one of them is in most keypulls and the other 2 are considered premium, why not open it to what was all the rocks? Not that it would have made much of a difference like cause youd have still been struggling in the match with anything other than MEM or NOD. Now to the other tour, punk and hof foley as premium then open to any Steve austin? Really? The fact that most people in my faction actually had to (if they eanted the shards) use Z-Austin as striker and showboat are out of the question. Again if you have the premium ones of PH or Gb austin, great you are in there again. In order to get the css points you gotta have premium champs, not a friendly weekend for any free to play out there.

There was also the noted change of taking 3sb Rock out of the prizewall, i mean sure take him ot of something else. Subject to change at the end of the day.

Other than chasing shards again this weekend not alot more going on.

Feeling subpar again with this event, flash feuds maybe to save this month?

overall event was meh at best. This new format sure is saving me a lot of money though so that’s a plus.

The weekend contest was okay on most fronts but I try to see things from 2 sides, the spending side and the non spending side as I have weekends where I do both. This was a weekend where I spent. So for me personally it was a decent weekend.

The tours were a breeze as I have all the css for those including new rock but if I didn’t have the 2 pay walled rock I feel blue chipper was impossible to get through hell unless you had a very rare plate for it.

The showdown itself was easily maxed with having all the css but if you’re missing 1 you’re grinding a lot. With the faction aspect most of your extra time is to make faction points hard to make up the css you miss by doing that. I understand why but not giving anyone a chance to max without having very new very rare superstars is what’s really turning a lot of people off.

Really appreciate The final boss rock as part of the Early showdown just sucks for others. That really helps top factions get a good head start and even tho that’s awful for those in lower factions it’s appreciated to those who are in top factions.

The loot felt very less selective of superstars you could get and I know it was intended that way but no shards for Charlotte really sucked. As you seen the leaderboards were huge on spending like the portals top spender almost being a 2 grand and to not even pull her has to be awful. My suggestion there is if there won’t be shards for the person you’re pulling for there needs to be some on the prizewall or in solo milestones.

lastly the prizewall, felt it had more selections but was also real low on certain items. Would like to see more coin then 20M and not giving 25 shards of a past superstar as that doesn’t really help someone who is 200-300 shards off that superstar. All in all a decent contest but feel for me I felt that way cuz I spent a couple hundred if I didn’t I would of probably had a different feeling of the weekend.

It was the usual event, I just didn't like the restrictions for the CSS on the tours being rock and austin, considering the only good rock and Austin's are cards most people don't have. 4 year old rock and Austin's can't beat 6ss final boss.

Reallywish there was consistency with this game. Tours end well before they are supposed to in some cases shards don't exist for the chase . Its a blight on an otherwise good month of tours. Would like it to be a bit easier to obtain the chase characters but I won't get my hopes up. Scopley seems to go out of its way at times even when you spend money just to screw over players. No loyalty to players who have been in for years either

I found this tour quite fun to be honest, if you know what you are doing(thanks faction) . I did manage to recruit FB Rock and he is quite good with the right trainers. Been playing this game a while, so looks like I'm in the drivers seatin the tour. I just wished getting the shards of Charlotte wasn't so spend heavy base. Have nice day!

The Showdown itself was good. I love the fact that the slots are open to any requirements, and that there is a requirement to the defensive slots. This allows us to be a tad more creative to fulfill required tasks.

I can see why people are complaining about the specific Rock tour. If you are one of the people that only have Rocky Maivia, you struggled. And because of that struggle, you probably did not get the gold chest and all the rewards inside of it. That can make people struggle to want to grind out events, and thus sets their whole weekend of playing the game off. I still believe that the Milestone chests should be obtainable by the people that are willing to play with whoever they can use, and the bonus milestones should be premium for those that have been lucky enough to have the premium posters.

Once again, the Prizewall just leaves most players lacking. It was a struggle to get 5,000 medallions for a Flow plate. Having all of those premium plates in the prizewall does not get people to spend more money but, it seems to make people unhappy, and in the case of what I am reading through these messages, people are refusing to spend because they don't see the value. There has to be some give on the part of the developers to allow the upper middle section of people to get some benefits on the prizewall to grinding the game out and playing with what they have. I remember the first one of these, with the Titan plate at 5k medallions. People were excited for that and tried harder. Putting a Phenomenal Flow plate as the 5k prize, and not something like the General's Hand plate (which many people got in October) was a wrong move. Those plates should be in the Plate picker section and not be treated as "game changing" plates. Those are the plates that help beginners in the game get better and they should be used as such.

I will probably always pick away at the prizewall rewards on these weekend events but, do not let that take away from what was a decent event this weekend that seemed to go rather smoothly, or at least a lot smoother than last weekend. So far this MLC has actually increased my Fear Of Missing Out more knowing what to expect and what to look forward to.

the idea of the gold vibes itself is awesome and I hope you continue to keep the rewards and extra upgrade items coming for the foreseen months. The second week for some reason just didn’t have enough to do. Tour should go way deeper or have more nodes to create more opportunities for shards for the mlc we are chasing by the time Sunday comes there’s really nothing left to do after event is over and I don’t know what was up with boss battle it just didn’t seem right this time I hope to see deeper or more nodes we can advance to so we actually after doing all we can we get the reward thank you for listening

I hate to say but it was really bad event. The Rock tour was no sanse. How could you pretend that we use a Blue Chipper (worse The Rock in the game) to complete all node with 3 stars. Really no sense. That situation force a lot of people to quit the contest without reach the gold chest. You need to remember that a lot of players are a F2P and create a tour for 2 rare PG and 1 of the worse PG in the game is not a good idea. The rest of the event it was pretty similar with previous events except for the impossibility to take the weekend PG without spend. F2P need more respect. Bye

Overall the content and chase for new characters and resources are fun. I appreciate the availability to bring characters up a little easier. The only thing I would have changed is the availability of Charlotte be a little easier and the Showdown be woman based since it was about Charlotte. But again overall nice week of events. Thanks

I'm really enjoying the Final Boss MLC. The new structure with the four posters and how they are collected is a nice change from what we have known as the norm. So far the shards to obtain the Rock have been flowing in spite of the glitch and removal of the poster that so many of us obtained on the first day; not sure if this was intended all along or changed to appease the masses subjected to the glitch. Either way, it makes the game enjoyable and playable knowing you have more than just a chance to recruit one of the chase posters. Rewards have been stellar and making it enjoyable to enhance and evolve our posters in a more timely manner. These changes have been a big step up from the perspectives of players that have been here since day one. My one curiosity is how does this all effect new players? Can the keep up with the pace even in lower leagues, or is this game out of their reach as far as longevity?

Boss Battle was engaging as always. There seems to have been an issue with it maybe ending early, but it wouldn't be a classic Scopley event if there wasn't some kind of "technical issue" lol j/k sort of. Looking forward to Flash Feuds this weekend. I hope this momentum keeps up for the remainder of the mlc as it looks to be promising.

Showdown was similar to the last few previous structures which brings its own set of challenges i n finding the right combination of speed and effectiveness with posters for the specific tasks laid upon us. It comes down to who you have on your roster and are they at a high enough level to be competitive. I can see where this can and has been frustrating for some players. Especially in the higher rankings.

All in all, these new changes and structure to the mlc has been a win in my book. i'm genuinely looking forward to the rest of the month.

    Peace ✌️

the contest was average. The fact there was no “luck” of a chest to get Charlotte was a little disappointing. I know it was said that she would be a spend only get but the opportunity to get from chest would have been nice. The sd tournament was average. Wish the prizewall requirements were a little lower as like someone else said, most won’t get above 5 k

  • Since all the SD events are identical below are the points I keep on highlighting and will do it once again

    1. The SD specific solo contest needs some revamp, it's either have CSS or you don't max it at all. That shouldn't be the case, there should be some element that allows player to push for final milestone of solo even if it's a paid way(I would actually spend per my budget to hit atleast 2-3 additional milestone), but relying only on CSS is disappointing since anyways chance of pulling them are very very very minuscule
    2. The prize wall needs a revamp the best you can get after hitting all free milestone is a very ordinary skill plate or some resources which are miniscule in current meta. Prize wall is consistently most disappointing for a medium spender like me
    3. For this specific event and MLC introduction of 6ss opponents in hell and 6sb from start seems a little too much considering we need to beat them with specific css (rock in this case) which not everyone would have high enough. I understand that 6sg meta is here but maybe wait for community to have atleast a decent 6sg roster before beefing up the difficult (only in cases where css is required I am fine facing 6ss or even 6sg opponent with open roster)

All in all very disappointed with SD consistently in past few months. It's been one of the least rewarding and interesting weekend event to look forward to

Tours were ok, only because I have a good rock. Not fair for others.

Showdown w should remove the energy and let people grind. Starting has you against 6SG from the start which you can't bear.

Faction contest was fine, lots of options for botch and purple gems.

The prize wall is always disappointing as you cant get enough score without paying for something.

    Few things:

    • Gem break requirements in Showdown has become too difficult and has ruined the fun aspects of Showdowns.
    • The faction contest in showdowns has also become difficult where it's an absolute struggle to hit 1 milestone, yes it's up to the faction members to pull their fingers out to contribute but the fact that half of the top 100 were able to hit the 3rd milestone has shown how difficult it is and becomes completely pointless.
    • The lack of prize wall options for anything has collected around 3k medallions in this event is too limited give us more options for those who have collected low amounts of medallions.
  • While the contest and such was fine. My concern is the lack of available shards for Charlotte. This was a Charlotte event and there were no shards available. Event if you did pulls. When these no shards events happen (Indi, Nation Rock etc...) they really take the wind out of the people who play. Even when you know you cannot get a person, the motivation to get as many shards as you can so you can eventually get them is strong. But when there is no incentive like that, people just coast and do the bare minimum.

  • Overall I liked the Charlotte event but think the skill plates on the wall were a little pricey. Even when spending money and doing well in the contests I was still below the middle level skill plates. Not even sure how someone would get to the top tier ones even if they placed first in every event. This could be improved!

I like it so far. Could be better but could be way way worse. I love that, not only did yall lower the prices on the mlc prizewall, but yall made the props weekly. Good job!!!

The things I truly felt were the best changes:

Allowing the additional points for unlocking the chase to be gotten at any point during the contest instead of just the first 24 hours. This allows us to buy the offers we want and make better purchases we're more comfortable with instead of feeling forced to buy the day 1 offers, which generally can be hit or miss compared to final day offers.

Having the 24 hr premium showdown utilize a character that has been sourced for a full week already, making it much easier to acquire. This is something I think will be a great trend with the new MLC format where we can get shards of all the month's chases the entire time.

  • Swaveycroccet
    Swaveycroccet Member

Being a showdown event I expected Charlotte shards in bulk vs Final Boss shards and poster when he's the free card for month. The gatekeep on older plates is frowned upon in the community. Newer premium plates being the same medallion value needs to be changed. The event format having players choose between being selfish to grind coins to reach solo milestone vs helping the faction could be alot easier with more available iow tokens.

Let’s take a closer look at the next weekend SD:

    Good:

    1. Factional event (this time it was even easier to close it than usual, I hope this trend will continue).
    2. Not bad stability of the SD mode (this time it didn’t crash or freeze as it usually happens)

    Bad:

    1. Tours (in fact, it is not possible to complete the first tour with the rock without using donated characters).
    2. Required characters in the SD mode (90% of the characters are donation characters, 40% are generally chase superstars. This trend needs to be changed).
    3. Premium SD (I don’t understand the need for this mode at all, or release it at the end of the main one. And in general, the character being knocked out is one in the picture, the second is drawn in some kind of confusion).
    4. Wall of prizes (A disgusting wall of prizes in which players, even with donated characters, can actually only get a die. Free die and shards, well at least 1 6sg shard can be obtained)
    5. Wall of prizes (A disgusting wall of prizes in which players, even with donated characters, can actually only get a plate. Free plate and shards, well at least 1 6sg shard can be obtained).

Let's sum it up: Disgusting, confusing event, it is not clear for which character (In donation pools there is one character, in SD there is another in the awards, the third one). The most disgusting donation offers (not getting absolutely anything for more than 40 coins is already too much.) I hope at least something will move towards correcting the draining of money and resources from players. I give it 2/10.

The destroy gem tasks for the faction contest should only work in the Saturday Showdown competition. This time a lot of high roller players could collect The Rock and gain an advantage in the Premium Showdown. Previously the odds were more fair, because you had to pull the weekend superstar to receive access to the premium showdown. It affects the grinding part of this game mode by a lot.

It was the introduction weekend for Charlotte, yet the Showdown was M/M. At least you could have added a female requirement for this showdown, making it a M/F Showdown.

The Showdown Competition is still hard to max, therefore it should include shards for Showdown coin promoters, which are available only in the VIP prize wall. Faction Boss promoters are available in the Boss shop, so these SD coin promoters should be also accessible through either SD Shop or the Competition.

So the overall showdown experience wasn't as bad as some folks have been making it out to be. The real point of contention for a lot of players is that this month, everything kinda rolls into itself. So take Final Boss Rock for example, that character is required week 1, and week 2 as a premium SD character. I personally don't have an issue with this because if you get lucky on either week 1 OR 2 you can benefit from having him. I HAVE been seeing some individuals upset that it's the same character required each time, instead of being a different one like we've had in prior months.

It's very weird to have a debut loot weekend with no shards. Just very odd. Yes I'm happy there seems to be plenty of Charlotte Flair recruits this past weekend, but for players who were trying to progress in their shard count it just didn't exist which was a major let down for people who wanted to spend but didn't feel they had incentive to spend.

One other quick disappointment : The faction event ending at reset, and the deals in store ending at reset, you guys are leaving money on the table. If the faction event ended at 3AM (EST) or the deals in the store (with Prize Wall) went down at reset on TUESDAY instead of MONDAY, you could be bringing in so much more money. When players (myself included) get to a point where they're less than 1,000 prize wall away from purchasing a skill plate from the prize wall, you've essentially left us not only with no choice of getting it, but with a sour taste in our mouth about the fact we can't get it. A suggestion for the future is end the faction event at 3AM like we do the same time of those feud weekends, so that us players can see where we are at AFTER the faction payouts, and THEN go spend our money in the store to make up the downfall! It's a win-win. Players get to chase more things, and devs get to bring in more money!

Outside of that, lets tackle some of the good things. You could get the bonus points for recruiting Charlotte at ANY time in the weekend instead of just the first 24 hours. The loot coin value went up significantly from the previous contests where they were maybe only 5k or 7k points per pull, and now they were 17k (I could see them upping it to 20k as well in the near future!)

The requirements were friendly, especially in a new Meta of 6sg land. Having Open/Open in the offensive requirements regardless what notoriety league we were in really helped with the new League 22 > League 23 requirements of 100 Showdown matches.

The CSS requirements were a bit tough this time around for the masses, but the faction farming/grinding component of being a purple and a botch gem was very gracious for most players who wanted to farm out points for their faction.

The tour reqs, contrary to the popular belief I've been reading on multiple discord servers, were actually quite fine. If you had any austin, if you had the f2p character (aka logging in 4 days this month), ANY MODERN… you were fine. Yes, the "rock" requirement wasn't the easiest, but that's part of what makes this a game and a challenge, is just that! Having a challenge.

Last bit of feedback, the prize wall itself (outside of my own poor experience of being 200 short which is why I left the point above) is really lacking. We have Chelsea Shards and Dvon Shards but no skill plates for them. We have so many opportunities to add things players want to specifically these SD prize walls but I feel like we just forget about it. Those plates would be great additions for the masses. **AND, just a little 2bob-selfish feedback : we should try to get the make 3 get 3 MP Skill Plates from the Rocky Balboa event added back to some of these events. The Red>Black / Black>Red / Yellow>Black / etc etc.**

That's about it! Decent weekend, gave us some time to spend with our loved ones, and if we wanted to grind endlessly, we were also enabled to do just that!

This weekend for me was fine from a playing perspective. I enjoy the challenge of using lower rated rocks to try and beat top Superstars. It didn't work for me this time but was fun none the less

Showdown is my favourite event so I always enjoy these weekends as they are relatively straightforward.

I am missing the talent up portion of weekend events. The css this weekend were tough and meant I didn't get as far as I would have wanted

A good weekend - intrigued to see how the rest of the month pans out.

Ps - please pick a winner from the Jade Cargill feedback as it is still outstanding

Showdown itself was pretty decent, the tours however were a letdown especially the rock tour forcing like 99% of the player base to use blue chipper which is literally near impossible for the final hell tour node

Overall, I’m enjoying the MLC so far. I even maxed the solo contest yesterday. Knowing ahead of time that HHH is going to be all but impossible to get outside of his debut in loot has helped me save money on spending so far. Charlotte shards seemed a little stingy this past event, though. I was expecting more than that.

I kinda want to echo something that I saw someone else say, I dislike having to choose between grinding out the gems to help out my faction vs grinding to score higher for the solo contest in Showdown. Pretty crappy choice to have to make.

I also liked 2Bob’s suggestion of ending the Showdown faction contest early. That way it allows players to buy more prizewall if needed, and pad your pockets as well. Win/Win 🤷🏻‍♀️
