IMPORTANT: SHOWDOWN COINS RESET (3/04)

way too many ppl save useless currency waiting for something good lol , I'm all for change idk care i hope its more event showdowns where we can earn 30k coins at a time i hope for better items in shop and maybe increase of shards for promoters so it doesn't take 2 year to recruit anyone them, even with active playing, im happy your starting us off fresh , i hope end result will be good, there should be some compensation for ppl with a lot coins maybe some kick back of the shop content, or trade in of old coin for resources

I have over a million coins to spend in a week? Give us free refreshes so we can use them and not have them go to waste. Or convert them to stip tour coins or something

Don't love that SD coins we have earned are just going to be wiped. Many have saved their coins because you never gave them a reason to spend. Now many are probably in the 100,000 - Million + range. There simply isn't enough time to spend them all (without spending IGC).

My suggestion would to be to run a prize wall where we can spend the Existing SD coins. Have things like Star Fills, Medal Bits, Strap Parts, TP, Coins, 5 Star Diamond and Below Tokens, Shards for 6SB Evos. All these things will adf to more flexibility in taking players rosters up and then enjoying the game more.

More premium options could be higher level tokens, SD IOW poster fuses/bulk shards, etc.

I don’t have millions of coins saved like most but I do save and spend mine as I need them to better my roster. I put a lot of time and effort into acquiring the ones I do have as to make sure I can spend as I need at any time. To have them taken away without any compensation will be utter bullshyt in my opinion. Surely Scopely will provide adequate compensation for them. I’m all about changing things for the better but Damn….. don’t rob me.

If SD changes have been worked on for months why are players not getting months from the notification to spend the SD tokens?

Here are some things that can be done:

Offer an exchange for resources

Offer unlimited free rerolls and the ability to buy multiples of items

Offer new and better items at a higher cost

Exchange for web coins or rubies

The main thing that can be done is to stop being Scopely and start being players of the game. Maybe then you can understand what all of these posts are saying and actually relate to the base.

I think I can safely say a majority of players are looking forward to these changes to the showdown mode and the showdown shop.

But we shouldn't have to sacrifice in-game cash at the risk of losing what we earned in the old showdown mode for the old showdown shop.

The easiest solution is to remove the cost of refreshing the showdown store.

A prizewall with "bulk buys" of common old showdown shop items would be an added bonus to help players spend faster - think about how quickly players would jump on the opportunity to buy TP, star fragments, tokens or Icons of Wrestlemania shards in bulk, rather than the usually-small amounts we've grown used to?

Please consider player-friendly ways that you can achieve this fairness without just wiping the slate clean with nine days of notice, or less, and no other avenues for players to "empty" their showdown coins.

Convert the showdown coins to faction shop coins

I'm all for one of the three commonly suggested options for SD coins.

1-Free rerolls

2-Prizewall

3-Conversion to new currency

It is unreasonable to make us spend IGC to spend our coins.

What I would really like to see is someone from Scopely acknowledge the situation and communicate to us in a timely matter.

It would be nice if there were a showdown shop prizewall with all of the same items from the shop on it available to spend the remaining showdown coins on. Having to use IGC to exhaust the showdown coins in a week seems like poor planning. It would even be acceptable if we could convert the showdown coins to something else. I wouldn't mind if we could convert them to web coins at whatever rate that would make that a reasonable idea.

Scopely this is a terrible idea to wipe out the SD coins. People played your game and earned those coins and now you just say oh well start over. That’s a poor decision. Make it a way that you can either get the millions…….and millions SD coins spent or make a conversion for the players. You cite fairness which is untrue. It is unfair to punish your loyal customer base in wiping out a asset such as SD. Take into consideration all the comments and do the right thing. The fan base is loyal but you also need to show loyalty.

This is absolutely not fair at all. I stockpiled my coins for wolfpac Sting, I have maintained an amount that could purchase that specific card and now you're going to rob me of them?

Does the showdown shop need a refresh? Yes. But there is zero reason to reset the coins.

This is an absolute screw job.

It is categorically unfair to just take away the coins. It is an abuse of power and a slap in the face to loyal players. I have 1.3million coins. I know I would greatly appreciate being compensated for those coins, or at least allowed to buy shards and fragments in greater bulk.

1) I don't know anyone who calls showdown their favorite mode. I hope the other changes mentioned make it less of a boring sludgefest of a mode and hopfeully less miserable. The best part of this blog post was that showdown will be down for a few weeks.

2) It shouldn't be such a big deal to update an in-game store. If you had updated the items/costs in the past 2 years(I think that was the last update), people wouldn't have so many coins saved up. You update the in-game store/portal multiple times a week.

3) Based on the previous 2 points, people shouldn't have their hard earned coins from boring grindfests taken away because y'all are either too lazy and/or have a crappy design that makes this update a big  deal.  

4) Free refreshes, prizewall for SD coins, swap for another currency, something else are all better ideas than just taking them away for "fairness"

What a way to screw over your long term players. I've spent hours earning all those coins and now you are going to just take them away and not give me anything for them? I'm glad there will be things worth buying in the shop now but this is just not fair.
