Showdown Matchmaking/Attacked Not Attacked

SD seems like there are brackets. For example I often see the same 15-20 popl;e all showdown long for 90% of my matches. Also some weeks Its like I'm invisible, like this week i was attacked 2x before reset, and after less then 10x running a fodder def. Some weeks I will get attacked 3x in a minute. This has varying effects if you don't have a strong roster getting spam attacked basically takes you out of the running and if you have a really great roster you really want to be attacked a lot for def wins. Hoping for a consistent week to week SD experience for all users.

I agree, if I attack someone it should be 1 for 1...not 1 for 3(attack me).
Makes it very difficult to rank up and seems like a disconnect is there pre-showdown coin time lock vs the next showdown coin reset.

There definitely seems to be a large discrepancy on who is available to attack in queues.

I think the biggest thing for me was the prizewall seems more evenly distributed. You can get something good at any level.

I want to echo the original post.
I often find the match making particularly bad in the last couple of hours before the event ends when I'm trying to find people who have lowered their defences but end up refreshing to the same people over and over again. Along with the lack of being attacked, this makes it incredibly costly to find new opponents.

I usually don’t complain about game modes, but the Showdown matchmaking has to be the most flawed system I have ever seen. I use to never have an issue with showdowns, but here recently it’s been a nightmare. So to start off, you can breeze through 600 notoriety, as soon as I hit 600 it’s a 5sg wall of nightmares, I pointed it out to my faction members, and they were like, no problems here, we are getting nothing like you are, so I was joking when I said it, and I said “I bet as soon as I hit 800 notoriety it will be all six star opponents” and guess what, after an hour to go up 200 notoriety from facing all 5sg maxed strapped opponents I hit a six star wall. This entire time, I didn’t get one defensive attack, and as soon as I hit 1k notoriety I was spammed attacked every minute. But that’s not even the disappointing part, my biggest complaint would be the points system. They take away more then you gain, so when you are getting attacked it causes what I like to call the typewriter effect, and I’m talking typewriter not an electronic typewriter. So here are some photos of examples.
Byouz attacked me three times within 10 minutes. Also note how much notoriety they took, now let’s look at my Offensive Log at the exact same moment I was fighting to stay over 1k notoriety.
So explain to me how the notoriety points work, because they are all over the place, and look at the time gaps between matches and compare to the times of the defensive attacks, it is just insane.
I shouldn’t have to get frustrated to play a game that should be creating excitement or enjoyment, but showdowns for me are a nightmare and extremely frustrating, thus the main reason I am going to start doing the bare minimum, it’s just not worth the stress and headache any more. I actually have a guy in my faction with no 5sg players, and he made it over 1,400 notoriety without breaking a sweat, without even one attack. But ever since the 1,400 level was introduced, I have only gotten over 1,400 one time, last showdown I didn’t even get anyone with dropped talent on the second day, so I couldn’t even complete the bonus achievements, and that was the very first time I have ever seen the 5sg wall, on drop the talent day.
So here is my 800 notoriety proof:
And again at 1k.
I can imagine one of these six star fights would be at least a 20 minute fight, with a great chance to lose with them being the MegaLords. But after getting over 1k notoriety I hung up the tights, the stress of the typewriter effect was enough for me to rage quit shortly after reset. Definitely a boring system anyway, so you won’t see me investing any future time into showdowns from here on out. I can also confirm it’s just not me, I have other faction members that skip the entire event because of similar issues, especially the points they loose versus what they gain. But anyway that’s my feedback, but on a positive note it didn’t crash at all while I was playing it, so that has to count towards something. Best of luck to the rest of the community that makes future attempts, hopefully you don’t have these issues.

I've been saying for a while we need better match making. I also have the same issue with seeing the same 5-10 players all sd long. Even when you pay coins to refresh it will literally give you the same 3 players until you refresh 2 or 3 times or find a revenge match.
Maybe we could get some type of search function? Enter a talent range to limit the field of what shows up so people that don't have high end 5 or even 6 stars now don't feel left out. They would probably still need to be getting and building those promoters because you need to be fighting those higher level/notoriety players to move up the leagues.
If we could literally just search the entire player base with filter options and find 5 or 10 opponents to choose from sd would be way better.

i got attacked 0 times the whole showdown

I would spend coin on resets, only to get the same three choices. How is that even a thing?
