Timing on trivia energy reset

Hi, I commented this on another thread, but it got lost in the chaos of hundreds of other comments. Not sure if this is the right category, but anyway:


I would like to point out the bug on the energy refresh (now 8h) in trivia, what happens is when you use the energy it starts a timer of 8h, this first energy (0/3) is ok, you can log in the portal many times it won't bug, but after the 8h period (so, between 8-24h of the energy got used) if you log in the portal this 8h timer will reset. For instance: If you use all your energy and log in the portal 15h hours after that, you will have 1/3 energy but the timer will not be 1h, it will reset to 8h again.


Another similar bug seems to be on the energy refill (2 energy for 60 webcoins) there is a daily reset time (lets say 00:00) but there seems to also be an internal timer like the free energy one. If you buy the energy like at 22:00 it will say you would be able to buy again in 2 hours, but when you check in after the 00:00 there will be another 24h timer, meaning you would only buy 2 energy every 2 days if you do not time it correctly.

    Just wanted to say that this happens to me every day. I should have my 3 saved up and instead I get 2 or 1 and a reset of the time.

    Has anyone else had the issue where the trivia energy timer is restarting when accessing the portal on your phone then switch over to your computer. Over the past week I have missed out on at least 6 energy due to these timer issues. With the limited amount of energy available now, 6 two days worth of points!

    Yesterday I did my trivia on my computer at 8 AM E.S.T. Then accessed the portal for the rewards on my phone at 3 PM. I log back in at 8 AM expecting to have full energy (or at least waiting like 15 minutes for my third), only to see 2 energy and refresh timer starting at 8 hours.

    If I cannot access energy like in the past, at least ensure that the refresh timer for the energy is in correct working order!

    I just posted this as well. Knowing that it is not just my account is good to know, but at the same time means others are losing out on things the same way I am.

    How does it affect the "economy" of the game that the energies are given as before (every 45 minutes) if you cannot buy more than 2 energies per day. With these prices of the flash store and the energy bug, there is no way to get more than 3,000 web coins per month and with that you buy practically nothing. This game only takes into account those who spend thousands of dollars a year. Scopely needs to remember that without the players who aren't rich, their game wouldn't have half as many users as they do.

    I added a comment here back in May. I just came to follow up that this glitch is still occurring. As mentioned previously, I notice that when I log in from my phone to my computer, it restarts the 8 hour timer. Please look into this. With the energy being a difficult currency to come by, losing 20% each day for months now is discouraging.
