That's why we came up with the above solution. we don't want to punish those who took advantage of our mistake but we also don't want to neglect the rest of the community. so we made the decision to give the upcoming new Superstar to all players. affected players get him before the contest, all others can get the full poster by collecting all available free contest points. no rng involved.

Thanks for responding. I think there is a general frustration in the community for how the whole MLC has began though, not just what's happened with the incorrect rewards. Mherex summed it up quite nicely on his most recent video. Players are being put off the game, it's becoming too expensive, Scopely is stripping the fun right out of the game.

It’s not a complete solution though. Why do only the affected people get this weekends card at the start?
What about the tour perks people can max that others can’t because of scopelys mistake?
Thankful for the card that they might give but surely they need to do something to level the playing field for the upcoming SD and Feud events?

As others already pointed out, there are certains items that will disturb the balance and fairness of the MLC
even by little, but they still will, there's no denying it.
As for the other thing, I was there when zRock-zPaige incident happened, so just hope it won't be a bloody grind again...at least there won't be no "recruit new char within the first 24h hours" scoring method, which should make things way more enjoyable!
Back to the turnbuckles thing, possible solutions:
- Send the turnbuckles to everyone.
And that's it, since you won't remove them from affected players' accounts and since you won't make a perkless MLC....

But then the star must really be freely playable! So without points that can only be achieved through certain stars. As soon as this is not the case, the promotion is again just something to get even more money out of the players' pockets. In addition, it must be the case that not only is there a chance of getting the star, it must be guaranteed

The players that were able to take advantage of the issue now have the ability to have their perks maxed, giving them all an unfair advantage over those that don't have the VIP or weren't online in time to complete it.

Rich get richer??? I’m sorry, I’m here to play a game. Ohhh wait, if you sit for hours doing busy work(trivia) you can get everything for free. I didn’t download this game to play trivia, so I get screwed constantly!!! Trivia is still up, But who cares: rich get richer. Look at trivia leaderboard, same people. How is that, they cheat!!! But developers won’t fix that!! So when they make an in game mistake, sorry but not sorry for player should take the advantage. Let me sit with a computer and phone, freeze the timer and use a cheat sheet for answers. (Great game concept)

Showdown turnbuckles aren't included in the solo contest so it's not likely to impact that. It makes it easier to max feud perks though but requires faction performance regardless to max those perks.

I think now main concern is if those who were able to get card will get the 24 hour recruit bonus. Otherwise all seems fair to me… just the usual after a fuck up

So for your mistake instead of punishment you people are giving them the advantage of getting new poster before event and who didn't exploit your mistake will get later that too you say chance what kind of fair thing is this according to you ?

If you look at the what's to gain in front of you and not through others perspective , I believe you will find a fair and much happier outlook.

It's amazing reading the mods reply, we have one mod who admits the turnbuckles is a fair point and will bring it up (Although I don't expect them to do anything with that feedback), then you have other mods defending the decision at all costs, one even going so far as they still need to do other things to max all the perks. The fact of the matter is that it's an advantage they got for exploiting a mistake that others didn't have the opportunity to do

The Mods here are all paid by the company, so are you surprised they feel this is a fine solution?
Most of us Pay sums of money just to get a chance to get these superstars

With all due respect- unless I’m misinterpreting your message- you are saying:
Regardless of whether or not it benefits others, just be glad you are getting something and look at the positives.
If that is the case, then you are extremely naive. This is not your fault, or the mods in this situation however, month after month, event after event there are simple mistakes in coding which half of us pay tonnes towards through our stupidity.
Its hard to focus on a little positive when as a community we are regularly ignored, shafted by ‘subject to change’ and general lazy game development. I love this game, have played since day one but it’s getting tedious when some are able to reap the rewards of a mistake and players that couldn’t still aren’t given equal or fair comp.
I will follow your suggestion to others to wait for blog post but can you really blame 99% of us for being skeptical and doubtful about the information given so far, considering the wording regards to providing us with the player already changed after 3 hours !

I do not blame you at all for your feelings after the unfortunate mistakes that have plagued the beginning of this MLC and should be looked at as a separate issue(S).
Isolating this vip tour issue, The resolution promised benefits all members of the community. After playing the event we look forward to everyone's constructive feedback.

So basically the players that took advantage of your mistake get rewarded whilst we have to work our arses off just for an opportunity to get a character? A 0.00001% chance I’d imagine.
Either you leave the event running so everyone can benefit or you pull the event and take away the rewards that those people earned. Because you pulled the event the rewards should be taken away.
EVERY PLAYER should have the exact same opportunities, not SOME players given free stuff whilst others have you work for them.
As you are showing absolutely no respect to the players I’ll show no respect to Scooley by requesting a refund on everything I’ve brought in the last 7 days. I think that’s fair.

Only some players were affected by the error in the Vip tour, However ALL players will have an opportunity in the upcoming event to earn a free poster of the new superstar. We look forward to hearing your constructive feedback after the event where there will be an additional chance to win the weekend poster,

what type of response is this. This has been a problem for a while. These forums are not really a place for the players to be heard but to give that fallacy that they are. Too often and in this case that you just made abundantly clear we are not and what has been decided has been decided and there will be no changing it even if the fix is not a fair fix. Some individuals in here have contributed some rather decent ideas. Including sending at least the turnbuckles to everyone to squash any player advantage gained or as I had mentioned putting it back to what it was and letting anyone whom had vip before it was changed to also get the same 1000+ bags and then letting us re-earn warrior throughout the MLC. As well as another big issue in guaranteeing the new weekend poster to the individuals whom took advantage of this developer mistake. Perhaps just an idea if this is what is planned, since it was VIP, anyone with VIP gets the weekend poster.
Ignoring the community is not a fix to any solution ever and we as a community are starting to have enough of the errors, repetitiveness, money grabs and just down right bad decisions. Maybe instead of blowing us off yall should actually hear us out and rethink the solution to the MASSIVE issue at hand to come up with a better solution that won't aggravate a large portion of the champions player base.
But you wont and you just made that crystal clear, that is fine. Just say that. Say what we have decided has been decided and no other solution or additional solutions will be considered. Although I will hold hope that DKMangler actually brings the turnbuckle issue up to the team to get rid of at the very least the advantage gained from the individuals whom took advantage of the developer error.

So let's start by addressing the word "exploiter" playing a tour isn't now nor will it ever be exploiting. I have been on all ends of mistaken event issues good bad and ugly. Try to look at the situation rationally if you can.
1. Everyone now can get the weekened event superstar free.... let that sink in for a second... how often does that happen. Do you have to play showdown to get it... Yes I'm sure you do and rightfully so.
2. Imagine for a second you are on the side of the fence that your not currently on no matter if that's got the error didn't get the error or Scopely. It's not a good situation. You take earned rewards away from players error or not players that spent leveled guys up and used their time and they will be upset amd rightfully so. Now imagine you are player b and you didn't get to decide if you wanted to purchase vip and play the tour you also are rightfully upset. Now imagine your scopely and you want to try and give a decent solution to everyone... I personally think this is a crappy situation and it certainly wasn't intentional and I think this is about as good a fix as we could hope for and I for one am happy I can get the weekend superstar free.
3. The mods aren't paid and do not have an easy job they are players like you trying to do the best they can try and show them some grace please.
In closing I think at this point everyone knows I have no issue sharing my thoughts in the game or a specific situation in this case I do believe this is an acceptable fix and would encourage everyone to think about people in different situations then yourself and how things effect them.

People were going to play SD this weekend regardless, and they are telling the player base ahead of time that you will be able to get the card for free by doing SD. And people STLL have a problem. I plan on playing the month like I always do. I’m not owed anything. Maybe 200 out of 20,000+ players were impacted, and everyone just wants it for free. Just play the month, take your free card this weekend, and let’s move on….and maybe get some Santa Hogan tokens.
