Unclaimed rewards from last months contest

I just opened my game for the first time today and I had a message box pop up saying I had unclaimed rewards from last months contest. When I click "claim" it says "there was an error claiming your rewards". At the same time a "loading" graphic pops up and keeps spinning. I am unable to do anything in the game because everytime I try to ignore the rewards box it pops up again
