missing Straps in inventory and on character

All of my straps have disappeared somehow. Not only are none equipped that have been but I now have none at all. What happened? How can I get my straps back?

  Have you tried restarting the game? it is an unfortunate occurrence sometimes the game will load without them but a normal reset usually fixes the issue.
