Unable to access Events tab

Every time I select it, my game freezes, and I have to force close. I tried uninstalling and re-installing, but that doesn't fix it. I tried going to the contests tab and clicking on the contest Superstars to get in that way but that doesn't work either.

This means I'm unable to do the monthly tours.
