Coin and Evolution bug

When the day rolled over today(12pm PST 23rd February 2021) a new Coin and Evolution event was supposed to start. I evolved my Tucker from 3 Silver to 3 Gold, as well as spent 4 million+ gold coins to level him to max. However, when I looked at the contest, there was no event shown. I closed the app and restarted, and to my dismay, there was no credit to the event AT ALL. Now I'm out 4 million coins, with nothing to show for it. This is very upsetting, as I was looking forward to using the tokens gained from said event to evolve him further to 4 Bronze the next day. Anyone else have this issue?
