Well, I'll start with the good stuff. I thought the tours were fine, and I actually quite liked the prizewall this weekend. Medallions didn't seem to be too terribly difficult to get and there was a nice selection of stuff available, if you were willing to put up a bit of money.

I also quite liked the free flash feud loot. The shards were relevant and actually came in handy for putting people closer to new cards

    Now to the other stuff:

Please stop doing shardless releases. They serve no purpose except to make characters arbitrarily rarer, and they piss off the entire player base.

Feud was super buggy for me. There were times where I'd be in a match and it'd take me back to the selection screen and (with my current match overlayed in the background)

The Required Superstar Contest Characters were particularly harsh, and the lack of grinding available makes that basically a no-go

Finally feud 3's start time was a problem, as a UK player it isn't fair to ask us to be up at 5am, and play until 11am, a lot of us will be asleep during those times.

  • Is it alarming as a game developer to see the same constructive criticism over and over from your casual players?? Im not going into the depths of the dead sea to explain my criticism,as its been reiterated over and over.

THE BAD: shards for new character recruitment evaporated, the start time of certain feuds, laughable "community event" ,inconsistent final milestone to max the solo contest, let alone no consistency with secondary contests, the special bonus womans superstars were basically 3/4 paywalled.

THE GOOD: accessible skill plates with the prize wall, the mlc free character used as a bonus

In summary, these flash feuds need to be timed better. Maybe have different timed events for the different server regions? No feuds should start at midnight in any part of the world...another brain stormed idea is to develop some kind of "tag feature" for partners to use in the middle of the three fight group ,so if you find yourself stuck after battle 1/3 you could tag in your partner,(only applicable if your partner is done feuding)or send in a help signal to them in game..lots of times a player wont bother to finish if theyre outmatched, plus it would conserve time within the battle, its a rough draft brain storm, but its something that could be worked on.

Overall another meh event, the zero new player shards really weighed down my personal rating.Keep on working out the errors, kinks and nuisances-and most importantly listen to the voices of EVERY player.

  • the old players have the trickster rock great one i for my part managed to get the zombie rock which is not so good anymore because it is old and the tour is accessible but without the extras there if i wrote wrong because i am using translator and it is true and I understand your point of view, I can't buy loot like other players, that's why Scopely should think about it and if they asked The Rock to give away a version with which they can go through said tour because it really doesn't cost anything.

In general I do not like shardless releases so that does tint my perception of this event. Back to back shardless releases on top of that in this case. I would place this event as a 3 or 4/10 at best and that is only because I am in a faction that generated alot of bags so that i managed alot of resources.

Lets start with the positives of the event:

+The free faction bags were relatively generous, I managed a full mega pull from them and then some.

+Warscore rewards were on par with previous months which was fine

+Only having 300k solo points in the last CSS MS.

    Now to the minuses:

-Feud times, Please stop having a midnight EST feud. If need be try to not plan flash feuds for the weekend of a premium WWE event.

-CSS for tours and for feud CSS comp were brutal this time. I say this as someone who was able to max. For tours many people would have no chance trying to use SB rock against the required opponents now matter his lvl. For the feud CSS only 3-4 people would fall into the "free to play" category and then most of the rest were recent/paid to achieve which made the CSS comp very difficult. This kind of setup actively discourages playing and makes success for mid to low tier players almost impossible.

-Shardless release. I know you will manage alot of pulls from higher end players who spend alot looking to get the poster since thats the only way to achieve it. The flip side of this is you take all the motivation away from low to upper middle players to pull for shards. The bags/chests may be nice for the previous characters but they dont really make up for the monumental task of pulling the card.

Things that could be worked in to improve on a future run

=If we were to have a rerun of this event i would add 1-5 or 1-3 shards for the chase into the faction gift bags. This would motivate direct faction spending as it would lead towards a greater end. Add into that a faction leaderboard with shards on it and you can get a good deal of people a card AND make a good deal of money from the player base at the same time.

=Add a few more "any XYZ" characters to the feud CSS. Even 2-3 more would have made it much easier for the lower end of the player base to participate.

Zero shard releases are always terrible. It tells the overwhelming majority that they will never, never recruit the poster. This feud was the worst one in recent memory. The CSS selection was horrendous.

The tours were less than ideal as well. Unless we had a rare Rock or HHH poster, we had a miserable experience.

Locking medallions behind the last milestone of a community event that is almost never accomplished is yet another middle finger to players. That left players with a whopping ONE medallion if they maxed the warscore event. ONE! Why even bother at that point?

This event was so botched that it defies belief.

  • This was an amazing event. I definitely like the direction this company is going in. There are definitely some things that could be better but you can take what you get. I feel Terry Funk should have been free due to his passing.

I’ve enjoyed the event as much as I have any other event I’m ill equipped for. The Rock is one of my all time favorites, but his cards on this game are either super rare or useless. Showboat Rock should get a rework to align with the current game. Most characters could use a touch up, to be honest. 6 star changed the game a lot.

  • My feedback for Rise of the Great One Contest

    Positives:

    - It's great that there were plenty of MEM Rock shards available on milestones, including 500 Peter Maivia shards that eases the shard recruit

    - High chance of getting a loot coin, medalions or chests from faction gift bags

    - New Rock is very awesome, most likely the best technician

    - Warscore grind itself was fine with awesome everyday rewards and Logan Paul shards

    Negatives:

    - Feud requirements were pretty bad, not everyone has Liv Morgan or any great legend Technician

    - Feud timings were even worse, not just in the US but in the Europe aswell, especially UK, Midnight - 6am is not an appropriate time to feud and grind

    - Flash Feud loot giving only 1 TP is a joke, not so easy earned loot coins should be giving more

    - Some players will never get Tech Rock but many more won't even get 1 shard of him! Making this event with no weekend superstar shard available was a mistake, I mean this was the event where we should have got as many tech Rock shards as possible, I mean the event is about him afterall

    Final Score: 7.5/10

  • I typically judge contests by how tempted I am to spend to advance higher. The prizewall for this contest was great. I could've achieved a great plate with no spending but the even better plates were within my budget and I got the one that I was hoping for. Although I didn't get any new superstars this weekend, I appreciated the number of shards given out for the characters from this month and MEM Rock for those that didn't already have him. The feud and tours had decent requirements. I enjoyed this event.

    The good part:

prizewall medallions. I only have 4 coins for now but that tempt me to spend. That's good strategy imo. Only improvement could have been if there's 10usd offer with a prizewall coin would tempt to much wider player base to buy them.

Faction gift bags were a nice surprise for me. Though they were weighted very heavily towards coins for me.

    Mixed feelings:

Faction spend event with gift bags was good but time too short.

Mem rock shards are good but heavily paywalled. The inverted pyramid model of prizes in all contests could use better adjustment imo. Rewarding maxing an contest is good but the rewards shouldn't be exponentially different.

Global contest are always nice to have but scopely should reassess and re-evaluate the requirements to max them. Global should be fun to participate and not impossible to max. Consider how many of past global events in a year were max? Current requirements feels like scopely don't want the players to achieve the final milestones.

    Bad part:

0 shard release. That means players won't get a feel of progression or partial achievement to satisfy.

CSS requirement were too harsh. And not grindable? Is this a way of scopely telling players not to play as much as they could?

Tours opponents equipped with santa hogan. This one I absolutely don't like it at all. Santa hogan entourage ability deter many f2p/newer players to win a match cleanly or at all.

  • This game is becoming largely unplayable. Promises from Scopely are unkept with the lie of everyone being able to get Terry Funk. The late start on the last flash feuds coupled with the unplayable tour past normal as most don't have older characters built high enough to matter. Paid pulls are getting worse but yet they want us to spend money. Nothing is for the player anymore unless you are in the upper high level factions most only have 1-2 6* characters. This was a 20.00

    pull

  • This event was pretty decent. Things went smooth. The only part I didn't like was that the rock is a 0 shard release, but I had fun playing this one.

  • Zero shard recruit is and will always be a bad idea. Zero shard and stinginess with other shards? Worse.

If the shard bags were more generous with the other superstars it would sting less. But here we are.

Prizewall distribution was a little odd but it nothing unusual.

Faction Feud was okay, though the timing of the first one was weirdly placed; guessing that was why it was longer?

Tours were fine except the one requiring Rock; good luck if you didn't have MEM.

Not one of your better competitions for sure. Zero shard recruits shouldn't be a thing anymore. Please.

For what it was worth the Event was alright, the biggest saving grace was the Prize wall and overall rewards from shards and chestd however ill talk abut that in another paragraph.

I think the biggest one flaw here, ya know the one thats being brought up alot, is the 0 Shard Weekend Chase character situation? Im not sure why that came into play considering the rest of this month has been pretty great with shard bags, chests and overall milestone shard rewards. It just feels like a bit of a kick in the teeth grinding the whole month and the only way to get this champion is primarily through Loot and in some cases, if you are extremely lucky, chests or domination bags. I know theres been other rewards in play instead of shards like including a set amount for this months weekend chases and some previous ones but to have a pretty decent event all weekend and come out of it with no progress towards the new champ is a bit of a letdown.

Moving onto the tours and contest there was more than enough points for myself (not sure about others) for me to achieve 18/20 milestones, along with the help of the flash feud contest. To which i then did some calculations to see how far i was away from the next one and did a mega to get up there. So finishing at the 19th Milestone in total which i was more than happy with. Rewards for the contest were great i probably recieved around 200ish shards of Showboat taker from the bags which was a nice consolation prize instead of Rock. Plenty of tokens and resources to start setting up my team for future endeavors like having full 6ss requirements for Faction Boss. All the contest superstars i had for a change (excluding Tech Rock) so i was managing to pretty much blaze through and pick up all the points with no issue, just wanna throw this in there fighting Tech Rock with Z-Austin on the hell node aint that fun and its very time consuming think i spent about 30-40 minutes just stun locking and doing my best just to get the Chests 🤣.

Something else i might add, the community event requiring a Ken Shamrock where if we all work together we can all get Coins and then at the top is a couple of medallions. There was genuinley no drive to do this as the rewards along the way were sub-par. We werent ever gonna hit the top milestone for this and all the rewards from it were just coin anyway? Woulda been nice for maybe some token cases or Tp aswell to be thrown our way. Really make it worth our while and give us the motivation, i mean even the rewards in the tour werent too appetising.

    The Flash Feuds i found to be somewhat restrictive on requirements especially for the Female one. Luckily i couldnt participate much in this one due to work commitments anyway so i just got my CSS rewards and waited for the next one. Considering that again for the female contest one of the requirements was Indi which was a pull only champ for the previous mid-week event, ive seen it time and time again but dont you think there should be an open requirement especially for the bottom row? I also dont know if anyone else has mentioned it but there were major server issues on the 3rd flash feud in which myself and others;

Kept trying to start a match > have to close the app because its stuck in a load loop > do the match this time > get back into match selection > repeat from step one.

It was a very time consuming and annoying i want to possibly say hour? Having to do all these extra steps and losing time doing so in what is supposed to be quick matches (Flash feuds.). Other than those issues Maxed the warscore only to get a dupe moment which sucked however im only 80 shards away from Logan.

The prize wall was probably the most redeeming feature of this event and by far your saving grace. No matter what you should have been able to get some great things from there; 6ss tokens, Ultimate Attitude Era Straps, Tp/coin bundles or at the top some Rare Plates! This was amazing considering you had some really decent plates up for grabs. In the End as said before i settled for a Braid Plate and ended up getting multiple 6ss token bundles out of this. Would like to see this prizewall type thing implemented again as it really made me want to push and hit those top milestones.

So overall finishing 19/20 milestones, biggest achievments are getting the resource for 3 class requirements for 6ss and also picking myself up the Braid plate. But with the weekend chase champ being a big fat 0 on the amount of shards, compensating this with a very good prizewall and milestone rewards were great. I do wish that if you do a community event you gotta really get the community to look at it and go "yeah thats deffinatley worth it". You gotta give us other things than just coins, really get us to chase the carrot on a string. So all in all id give this a 7/10.

  • The new Rock is great and powerful new card.

I liked the free prize wall wall medallions to get a good strap and skill plate. I got 5 prize wall medallions without being able to do hell mode final boss on the Rock tour. The flash feud loot coin spin is always great.

COMMUNITY event was ok everyone got free coins and a chance for another prize wall medallion.

Superstar competition for feuds were fair.

Limited time tours superstars were fair.

Overall great new character and The Great Nutshell Prizes were amazing.

I liked this prize wall. It was good that an older plates like All Heart was actually obtainable when it was used to be given out for free when I wasn’t playing. It sucks that a lot of people have played they got for free from bags but the people who were not playing the game during that time have zero of them. I hope this trends continues and they add more options for plates that have been out for multiple years to the prize wall.

I’m not sure why the spend event doesn’t at least last until the end of the final feud.

The faction gift bags were a good touch and for the most part the bags actually had good superstars in them.

I like how the 75 million milestone is for flash feud. Once again there’s not really a reason for most people to feud past the last milestone. If you want people to play more then allow for actual grinding for missing CSS and not have such a low points earned if you wanted to grind (this would also go for boss battle as well)

Rise of the Great One Feedback

Will start by saying I’m on the fence about this event!

    Here’s why…

What I loved about this event was the Prizewall, this honestly made playing this event. Since playing the game I don’t think I’ve ever played an event on Champions where every premium plate (minus 1 or 2) was made available. The prizewall medallions were easily accessible through milestones even for F2P players, helping them grow their roster with either a 50% strap or plate for cheaper currency such as all heart plate.

What I didn’t love about this event is purely this. How can players max FIVE milestones for FIVE different event contests (Solo, Superstar Competition, Warscore, Faction Loot Contest & Faction Contest) and finish with ZERO shards for Rock.

Going forward if Factions are finishing in the top 10 for events, the “Premium” chests should be replaced to another chest that increases the odds to pull the character. For example, a faction that placed in the top 10 for the faction like the faction I am in did, the replaced chest would not have LWO Eddie, Rock Mem, High Chief shards, but only the premium characters at 3-star gold (for example) so for this instance that would have been BPP, Taker, Bradshaw, Farrooq & the new Rock.

Totally get the format and understand why it is how it is, but to only get Rock is through pulls or top 20 finish, so the top 20 finish just becomes a bidding war of the highest player who pays out, which you must ask, who actually wins in that situation?

The card design is awesome and think they have been spot on this month, great job art team!

You’d done a great job with the character build, from trainer and moves. He is 100% a GREAT ONE to add to anyone’s roster. Possibly best tech in the game now?

    Solo Contest – 63rd

I thought the number of solo points available throughout the event was superb & great to see. I really felt like with every tour that was released, the next milestone was obtainable. I did finish on the last day 19/20, however temptation gave in and more packs were purchased to max the event, I did think the amount of chests that were obtained from the portal and milestone 20, the higher the chance of getting Rock, but that wasn’t the case! (pardon the pun).

Solo tours were great, no issue with the CSS chosen and all were done easily. I felt a sense of excitement for reset as the points justified the grind on the tours.

    Superstar Competition – 153rd

Enjoyed this grind a lot, I was only missing the new Indi, Liv and new Rock for bonus points out of the 4 feuds which is decent. Makes you feel involved in the event when you can place your characters in the top and middle rows!

The female feud I wasn't completely over the moon with in regards to CSS, not everyone has got a Liv (like myself) and having Indi was a tall order in itself anyway, never mind top row for feud!

    Warscore – Maxed

No issue with maxing the warscore in the feud, milestones gave out good rewards, I liked the fact the moment bag was at the end but wish there was more Rise of the Great One chests towards the end, there was 4 in a stampcard, so would have seen no issue giving out 3-5 for the final milestone. I personally would not mind if the final 2 milestones were swapped in terms of rewards, you feel like you get more on the second to last anyway!

     Faction Competition – 10th

As mentioned above milestone rewards should be altered if placed in top 10, the chests given out should be special ones that cannot be purchased in packs, making the leaderboard position even more important!

    Community Portal Event

Took me by surprised we were given this, although I can’t really say I was that excited about it when I discovered there was just coin up for grabs. This could have been made more appealing and if I remember correctly this is the second or third time a community event has not maxed. Which is a real shame as the PW tokens could have really benefited people, me included.

    Feud

Overall Feud wasn’t too bad with connections and gameplay performance, however the experiences I had during the Ministry of Cowboy Funk feud in the morning was very frustrating! When trying to get into a fight from the lobby screen, it would often stay stuck on the loading circle and not move, I had to close the game down and re-open so many times, it got me to the point when I wasn’t going to bother and wait for the next feud! Eventually it settled (thank you to whoever sorted that!), the fact it was flash feud and time is key, getting time eaten into by having to restart the game or wait for the loading symbol to disappear added to the frustrations.

I would love to have an invite system for Feud, similar to how Boss Battle works. This would be great and benefit those who want to team with certain individuals for ghosting or warscore leaderboard placing.

    Loot

Not much to say really, 5 mega pulls, 2 new characters (Trickster Snoop and Striker Bliss) and 2 fuses (LWO Eddie & Striker HBK). All in was around the 209 pulls in the end, disappointed of course, but that’s the gamble you take. If it wasn’t for the Prizewall and the plates, I wouldn’t have done one pull.

    In closing

I’d score the event 8/10 and that’s down to maxing 5 events and the Prizewall. The lack of decent pulls for the amount I did and zero shards to Rock is where the event lacked for me.

A personal best for me to max the solo event, then on top of that the Superstar Competition and Warscore, so extremely happy with that!

Prizewall - Amazing! Cody Plate, Braid plate (number 2), Eyes of Judgement, Lions Gaze, 50% Gem Strap and a Premium chest.

P.S can we have tracksuit Rock and Half Time Heat moment, thanks!

Hope everyone is well, thanks for taking the time to read my feedback.

    CM

  • Like all flash feuds, there was technical difficulties, but overall it was okay. The main issue I had with the event is no shards for the new Rock. I understand chase characters needing to be rare, but without us being able to pull shards We have nothing to work towards. And all or nothing approach with characters leaves us feeling unaccomplished at the end of the event. The tours were standard, no issues well playing them. Overall it was a decent event that could have been improved by giving a shards and not making the feud lines set up be harder to fill to get the bonuses.

It has only been a couple months since you introduced the feud prizewall and it is absolutely useless now. Upon introduction, a league 15 user with a warscore of ~50m was able to claim King Sheamus. The feud after that, you needed to spend money for an additional medallion to get a comparable superstar. Now a league 15 user with a warscore of 50m (a significant time investment) gets 0 medallions. I could speak to other parts of the contest but I think this exemplifies it best.

Awesome. Much appreciated, and looking forward to playing with him whenever he gets dropped off here. Thank you for the opportunity for players to earn rewards by posting feedback and all that.
