Pros:
The event itself was structured really well. Good balance between solo/boss score/tours.
The time commitment was much more reasonable than what we are used to.
Boss battle remains a cool concept with a lot potential to be the most dynamic weekend event.
Cons:
This mode is still completely broken. Connection issues are the most glaring. Variation in move animation time makes certain cards non-viable. Losing choose moves at end of timer. Too much RNG with dodge/boss special gems/cascades. Suggestion: have an actions counter (move or swipe) instead of time.
The "style" restrictions are killer to small rosters. It seems that Defensive and Focused have been neglected by developers recently and most of the "top shelf" cards are Chaotic and Aggresive. This aspect of the game has been dead for ages and they should find a division that is more relevant to the way we build rosters now. Suggestion: have Era or Class restrictions for a specific event.
Specific Boss Feedback:
Dodge is awful for the boss to have. Please disable this for future bosses.
Bleed was a useless bonus, takes too long to charge, required swiping to set off, damage wasn't high enough. None of the best teams were using bleed. even with 5sg RVD the best bleed in the game, he wasn't even a top 5 choice.
where was the zombie event tie in? Why did those events run concurrent when nothing crossed over?

Disclaimer: I earned the card through the event so I do not want to be entered for the giveaway.
I think this was a really good event that was a win for all sides. Most players were able to get the 4SB card for free, which can help all rosters get a solid HoF tech. For Scopely it’s still a financial and competitive win because you not only had a scoring leaderboard for the silver gear, but a paid leaderboard for the gold gear. This is exactly what we want as a community. Everybody gets something, modest spenders get more, big spenders get something rare. Please preserve this model in everything.
The tours were pretty reasonable. I could see a lot of players not liking 5SG opponents with narrow CSS options, but I also understand that it’s good to have a challenge for people.
The faction boss itself is where I give more mixed feedback. I’ll start with the good:
- Adding the extra two levels was a nice challenge. I enjoy the game a lot more when not everything is going easy. I think you hit a home run in balancing the difficulty vs rewards. You could max the competitive solo competition with 2 level 10 and 2 level 11 wins. So having the stretch goal beyond that was a nice challenge. I’d suggest to go even further next time. Let it go to level 15 and if nobody beats it, so be it. But it allows differentiation between factions.
- The boss abilities were hard to overcome, but that’s good because it made it enjoyable to overcome the challenge with strategy. Compare that to the dull experience of feud where it’s like “yeah play the same 8 opponents 200 times and dread how much time is left on the clock.”
- The boss shop has pretty good items and it seems like shards were offered in higher increments than before. The economy is pretty good there.
As for the negatives:
- I feel like a broken record here, but the clunkiness of the game mode and the animations makes the experience awful. Why have a 60 second round where you can’t even pick your move until 4+ seconds have lapsed? Then you have animations that lock you up for 10-15 seconds at a time and even more if there are cascades. It’s just the opposite of what the mode should be. I’ve literally started to sit down and play different cards and electronically time their animations - Venmo donations welcome if anybody wants me to share my data :) - but really: is this what I want to do with my life? The game mode should be about just rapid fire moves and swiping, rewarding players for being able to think and act fast. The more action oriented version of the game would be fun as opposed to this clunky mess. It doesn’t even feel like a beta, it’s way less developed than that.
- Dodge. Dodge. We hate dodge. We have always hated dodge. As a player base this is literally the number one reason why we are disenchanted and feel like Scopely ignores our feedback. We have hated dodge unanimously ever since the feature came out. And yet three years later here we still are with this unwanted feature. It adds nothing to the gaming experience in a positive way. It’s not an element of skill or strategy. It’s just a stupid RNG nuisance that makes the game worse with no enjoyable benefits. And now you tack it on to a game mode and basically make the experience miserable. I wish you guys would join some of our discord voice calls and listen in on the feedback, focus group style. You would just hear universal annoyance and frustration. You guys say the dodge rate is 3%. The players do not believe that. Even if players are wrong and it’s really only 3%, it doesn’t matter because we trust it anyway. Please, please take a step back and reconsider this nonsense. Putting a nuisance in a game and then justifying it by “well, it’s only a 3% nuisance”… makes absolutely no sense. You got rid of invasion because it didn’t work. Just cut your losses with dodge and get rid of it. Invisible Cena can be the lone exception because he was marketed specifically for his dodge. Just give acrobats and tricksters a defense boost that offsets crits and you’ll get the same outcomes with a much less annoying experience. Snoop’s dodge was just miserable this time. In our voice chats: “yeah he dodged me again, oh well.”
- There were a lot of issues with peoples points not being counted toward the event. This part of the code is really sloppy.
I feel pretty animated in my feedback for faction boss because it is by far my favorite game mode in concept. The execution however is lacking in some areas and great in others. Please take this feedback because there is so much room for opportunity.
Again overall very positive feeling about the event. 10/10 for me in that it checked the boxes for all types of players. Good work. Kill dodge.

I'll have to say my main issue is the constant freezing during the turns. In addition, you see so many connection issues with teammates during the Boss Fight.

I’ll likely be repeating a lot of what Ocho has already said here because he’s absolutely spot on, but here goes anyway.
Snoop Shards/Gears
- Perfect. The character could be attained for ‘free’ in various ways without having to complete everything 100%. I liked that players could miss some shards from the store, faction boss, or tours and still make the 1200 recruit. Silver gear as a leaderboard reward for those who were able to beat the highest levels and/or grind the most level 10s. I’d love to see this expanded to allow more players to compete for top spots, but otherwise great. Finally the gold gear available for the big spenders. This structure seems like a huge win for everyone.
Tours
- Again, this part of the event was great. The final matches were difficult but the CSS gave players some options including free to play posters.
Faction Boss
- I love this mode. It’s easily to most fun thing in the game right now due to the strategy and teamwork involved. The additional levels were good to see even if they were really difficult/impossible for the vast majority. I hope we continue to see lots of creative buffs and boss skills to keep players thinking and the mode evolve each time. I hope we continue to see a balance of characters who can take down the boss, not specific to one elite, paywalled character. 2 of the top posters this weekend were MLC chases which was nice.
Dodge
- A horrible idea to have dodge as part of faction boss. We have repeatedly asked for this ‘feature’ to be removed or replaced with some other buff for acrobats and tricksters. While I personally can live with it (not enjoy it) in other modes, its a huge black mark on faction boss. Strategizing for days, investing in specific characters, coordinating teams in a lobby, spending 5-10 minutes on a match and then losing because of a dodge is absolutely infuriating. I can’t get my head around why the devs think that this is essential to the game other than not wanting to admit their mistake. At the very least, I beg you to remove dodge from faction boss.
Technical Issues
- I really hope this can improve but it’s having a negative impact on the overall mode. It takes multiple seconds to make a swipe or use a move when the timer starts. The connection drops multiple times for a team during matches. Every match ends and all the lobbies disappear multiple times over the weekend. Swipes don’t register at times (the board shows a match, but nothing happens). Ive also seen players scores not register despite relaying multiple times and restart in their game etc. I personally really enjoy the mode so I try to persevere through the issues for now but I can see how those issues would completely alienate many players.

My 3rd boss battle so far and yet I'm still having to play on pc rather than the convenience of my phone. With that out of the way, 3rd boss mode so far I do like the idea of it. This one was particularly frustrating though. Competing with the timer, and lag ,then the dodge ability. I swore at my pc a lot this event.
Snoops character model and card looks good. Like all debut characters, for me personally, I don't get the invested in them. Because of recruitability or lack thereof. In saying that 1200 was doable. Unfortunately because I could only play boss mode on pc, I missed opportunities to join my faction if I had to step away.
Tours were straight forward. Probably the last 2 tours of hell mode were challenging but that is expected
Boss mode feature: Again was frustrating to not play on mobile.
Loot: 2 guaranteed very rare for 40 pulls seems less value. BTW what happened to 55 loot coins for $99?
Suggestion: maybe make boss mode more like titan feud. Just until you are able to fix your servers or the game mode. Having 4 people in real time shouldn't be a struggle like this. I think the game mode needs a bit more time to be worked on.
Just an above average event.

What can possibly happen when you combine the most idiotic game mode with the worst game mechanic ever and you set it as the wrap-up for the worst week of the worst MLC in recent memories?
No, seriously, you didn't ask yourself what could happen, you just put together:
5-day Showdown + Faction Blitz + MLC Tours + Dodging Faction Boss with even more idiotic features (lv 11+) = more money for us
I mean, after all, it's Spring Break Time in California, they'll have the time...
yeah, too bad California is not the whole world, also I know for sure that there are people in California that need to work during the Spring Break too.
So, the sum's result is actually = WORST GAMING EXPERIENCE EVER....and, trust me, money-wise, this is going to have consequences that you'll feel.
You've proven time after time that you can't make things better, you can only make them worse, and it's only natural, since your company had to settle down with leftovers from other bigger and better companies.
So stop trying to make things better, cause you just can't, other game modes have proved it.
History of Feud:
1. Let's make sure everyone can partecipate
2. Let's add restrictions...not working
3. Let's add perks....barely working
4. Let's add VIPs....but they have become eventually garbage characters...so can't last long
5. Let's add some other bigger pay-wall....more restrictions, especially for TOP lanes, score boost perk and kickout perk, so we can double dip: older characters become useless and they have to pay for the perks.
6. And let's not forget to diminish the rewards as time goes by
History of Versus:
1. Let's make sure everyone can partecipate
2. It can be done by basically losing, so no effort and therefore no money...gotta revamp the whole thing into something worse
3. Showdown: same as old versus, better rewards, but incredibly time-consuming, with 3 regular leagues....
4. Players are enjoying the events' structure....let's make it worse and add infinite paywalls
History of Invasion
1. Let's make sure everyone can partecipate
2. Let's see if we can monetize this thing with limited energy
3. We can't monetize this thing, because we can't have players not being able to defend or attack because of characters restrictions
4. Rewards are good for players and income for us is basically zero...let's drop this thing and blame the players' feedbacks for it
History of Faction Boss
1. Let's make sure not everyone can partecipate/fully enjoy it.
Since it started like this, it's not even necessary to go on.
The conclusion is: you've killed this game mode from the very beginning, so don't even dream of making it better or proposing it ever again.
If anyone's wondering why I skipped Gauntlet Blitz, is because, to me, there's basically no difference between Faction Boss and Gauntlet Blitz, just another failure that shares the same history as other game modes...

Feedback for HOF Snoop Event
I'm going to deter slightly from my usual format of providing feedback through positives and negatives and instead just dump my entire thought process around the latest round of Faction Boss event and how it's played out.
- First and foremost, I'm going to take a cheeky stab at you guys paying attention to my last feedback about doing a 4SB Recruitable character as this will get the community off your backs of how stale this whole month has been, so for majority of us to get a shot at getting a new character and in the form of Snoop which a lot of us still dont have the acro and trickster verion. Big Kudos!
- The tours were spot on, just 2 modes is perfect for a weekend. Although a bit tougher to beat especially with 5SG Hell boss but considering it's allowing us to recruit a character then I think it's fair to put a harder opponent for us to try and beat. Can I suggest, if you're going to put a 5SG opponent, could you at least pick a character that's not top tier?
- Solo Milestones were done seemingly well for spenders and non-spenders. No complaints there.
- Now, for the Faction Boss... As already pointed out... Dodge moves is such a shitty thing when playing a mode that's so time crucial along with the fact that you need to work around lag and disconnects. So please, can we avoid Acros and Tricksters until then or reduce their Dodge percentage.
- I think the main thing Faction Boss needs addressing is the Disconnects and Lags issue with the server. It's clear we can see from the Lobby Creator where the server is from so would it actually make sense to alternatively open a regional lobby where Players can choose to join players from other Factions but within their region? It defeats the purpose of "Faction" Boss but feels like that would solve the disconnect issues? Just a thought...
- I do like the introduction of Solo Scores for Faction Boss as a grind mode for those who want to achieve top rewards.
- Is there an issue with Leech Gems as I seem to see that it works during the first few turns but after a while the leech just doesn't give health back. I dont think it's fair to remove this feature if a character can attain health back then it should be possible for them considering how big of a task it is to take down Level 10+ Boss then both Leech and Heal Gems should work as intended.
- This time people were encountering issues with the Lobby and unable to start as it appears the lobby kicks the Lobby Creator out of the game for some reason which is rather odd.
- Could you possibly look at an easier way to search for characters. With the amount of superstars a lot of us long time players have been around, it's such a hassle to scroll up and down to look for someone. Adding a name search filter would be a good start or better yet remove the Promoters Tab and replace with Favourites so we can tag the characters we use on a regular basis making it easier. If possible, look at how Pokemon Go has done their search for all the Pokemons you can store, you can have 1000+ Pokemons but to find the one you need is so easy as their UI makes it search friendly.
- I also want to add, it would be great if you can add another search type for characters who are part of MOTU and Zombies as they fall within the same Modern Era, then they get lost within all those and makes it a bit cumbersome looking for them within all those piles.
- Are you planning to introduce Perks for Faction Boss? Feels like this is needed to speed things up with Faction Boss.

Faction Boss is proving to be more trouble than it's worth. The game constantly freezes while the timer is still running. The shield recycles faster than you can break it. One possible solution is to eliminate the shield altogether in favor of a larger pool of HP for the boss.
Tour was doable, Sasha Banks tour was tough but fair (should've been able to use Tech version)
Okay event overall. Would have been better if we all weren't overwhelmed with a Showdown/Blitz/Limited Tour event at the same time

Terrible, loading issues, freezing issues, connection issue, you would think the boss battle mode would have ironed out some bugs by now.
Too many loots, concentrate on one or two instead of saturating the market. With excess loots available and the atrocious changes made to flash market you are showing your true pay to play colour.
No longer a strategy game that rewards play, the fact the boss battles are so broken proves this.

This is good contest and rewards are nice too. Faction Boss is so difficult you can't play Lv 8,9,10 without good character & remove animations in Faction Boss it takes too long.

Overall, the faction boss mode is decent. I understand it is still in beta, but it can be SO much better, if connection issues were fixed. Maybe freeze the boss timer when boss breakers move animation is in effect. Implementation of perks for this mode would be great too, only need like 3 or 4 tiers to unlock to max it. Also increasing boss timer to 90 secs or even 120 secs as at level 10, he has 150 million. That is ALOT of health to take down. All in all, decent mode, needs alot of fixing. This is 2022, no need for lag from the dial up days. Have a great day.

Unfortunately half of the time you could not get on. Was in the lobby press ready and game starts and you would be kicked, when click on lobby again you was there but could not join the match.

Many connection problems. Often it took forever to get your fully loaded move going while the timer kept counting down. And .. half of that one minute is wasted by watching animations anyways.
Due to connection/server problems you often got kicked out of your lobby and it simply disappeared.
Motu Rey for example makes heal gems into yellow but I didn't count. A team mate reported that iow Batista also didn't count but I don't know if it's true.

Overall I like this mode because it is actively played with the faction as in feuds, then in my faction many of us talk on WhatsApp and we organize ourselves
Real big flaw the final rewards, often came out or for other active contest like SPRINGOUTBREAK or for May melee, I would have liked to have rewards just to grow as a score in this event

The faction boss was glitchy. It worked great for the first 3 hours but after that connection issues happened a lot and sometimes lobbies disappeared completely. Having the action bar still move while the animations are going on is a real pain because not all animations are equal in time. Also the action bar moving while boss breakers are being applied is a real disadvantage to the player.

As usual great idea, but poor execution. What i don’t like:
- One minute is not enough!!! With move animations, chose gem moves is simply not enough.
- the shild!!! Every second turn is far too much!!! Here’s an idea remove the shield but increase the boss health and damage.
- a lot of conection problems!!!
the idea of this game mode is great, but it is not fun!!! Now it mostly frustrating and needs to be FUN!!!

Fraction boss is good game.
But there is alot to improve in event mode.
1. Move animation , it take alot of time to complete 3 moves. 60 second is not enough.
2. Boss shield, at higher level it is unplayable and amount of gem break we break does not reflect on screen. There is alot to improve.
3. Kickout or we don't enter the game after we join battle , many occasions i dint even enter the game for battle.
4. Connectivity , its old issue in between we are disconnected unnecessary without completing move but time keeps running and we miss.
5 . fraction boss is not at all playble at higher level above 7.
6. Fraction boss shop , we have to wait for fraction boss event for next purchase.
7. Boss breaker, it is of no use as it alot of time to fill and it doesn't effect boss. I don't get it.
8. Time , need more to complete move as I said animation is the issue in fraction boss. Need more time to break the shield ( if board support the required match )
What I like about fraction boss is fraction point reward after every battle. This should be in fued as well reward after every feud .
I m disappointed with the scopey because even after taking so much money. Scopley can't even improve this game , same old issue keeps occuring in all events.

The Boss battles are glitchy, it would be better to have a 2 on 1 instead of 4 vs 1 that may solve the connection issues.?
Also the prizes could be better for faction Boss.

The gold Snoop is awesome to achieve. I feel that it would’ve been nice to have three rounds like was done for several of the other superstars, but when you win with the prescribed wrestler, you win more shards of the gold Snoop.

There is a lot of connection bugs with this game. It needs to be looked at this game mode most people need to be carried through levels. There should only be one shield. It could be higher gems need to be broken. 1200 shards for the card to be unlocked was good even though as every other time I got nowhere near recruiting.

Boss battle mode is by far the least enjoyable mode in this game. It was at least a little better this time without the moves being outright frozen. There's barely enough time to get through 2 or 3 of your move animations each round, especially when you're stuck swiping away at nothing because the boss increased your move charges while also silencing half of the gem board on top of making his shield. Any one of those 3 things are already debilitating enough without the chance that he dodges you. I really want to like boss battle. I think it's a great idea, but it needs a bit more fine tuning to me.
As for the rest of the weekend the tours were ok. Pretty fair requirements since sasha striker, and hof eddie have both been given for free at this point.
The loot pulls were bad, but snoop himself wasn't too hard to get just from fighting the boss, and clearing all the tour bonuses.

I like how I was able to get to lvl 5 minimum with relatively weak characters in each category. I also like how relatively simple it was to get each reward level. I also do not like the above mention issues that were experienced along with others apparently.

Issue i was having, the match started with snoop attacking me, then i couldnt do Anything like the game was frozen. The. He attacked me again. I was matching some greens and the game was saying it wasnt a match. His health as well as mine was going up and down. Said we were almost done then filled back up 50%. Prob worst fraction boss yet. Also at the end often i got zero, once i got mVP and zero points. Dont understand how to earn starts at the end.

I actually enjoyed this event and managed to recruit snoop through shards with next to no spend.
The tours
The last nodes on hell mode were rough but do able for everyone whos played in the last 6 months as we all got striker sasha and Eddie for free.
Solo
Some decent rewards in the free section with enough shards to help recruit.
Solo collect coins contest
This one was a little rough and would have been nice for a more grind able aspect to it as grinding out level 10s wasn't the easiest. I did max this winning 10 11 11 10 but alot of people couldn't get to these levels. The leaderboard coins not counting is an oversight and may screw a few players out of maxing.
No faction contest? This mode is one of the most faction led contests we have as it requires communicate and teamwork so a faction competion would have been nice.
Actual boss
I didn't see too many connection issues my self but a few faction mates did with one not been able to play at all. This needs some work.
The dodge is annoying but it's part of the game and is expected.
Revives didn't work as they hung the game but took the 999 cash. Remove the option or fix it ASAP.
The shield is not a problem in my opinion if you use the correct team. This is where communication is key.
Level 11s were a real test with 12s seemingly impossible.
Overall a decent boss which was beatable as a team.
The best part of boss battle is we have the full weekend to do the contest so it's alot more chilled.
One point to note is if the shop only once per week its going to take way to long to recruit the promotors.

Faction boss is only fun when you have the right superstars to play and you don't have issues with connections. I would say about 90% of matches I was able to get in, there would always be 1 out of 4 players disconnected or I would have coection issues that I know was not on my end. Very frustrating putting so much time in but not being able to clear all levels and I could have without so many issues.
