Main Event Bex Showdown

The Becky SD weekend to me was terrible.
The only good thing was the structured SD leaderboard, but it stops there.
The players including myself have to choose three paths to take due to limited energy:
- Chasing the moment with notoriety promoters, which is basically possible if you had SB Becky, spent for the energy or have an easy Showdown Leaderboard Bracket.
- Chase the Showdown Solo Event using Coin Promoters for medallions that helps the faction event and solo points to get to at least the gold chest.
- Doing the faction’s limited gem breaking tasks to hit at least 1% for top factions. You cannot really control who you are using here. Think SB Becky can do both chasing for the moment and gem break tasks, but only if you are fortunate to get her early.
Lately, the faction events, including the SD one for the past two months have been time sensitive. If you do not collect stuff from the portal or do things in game like the Premium SD (up to where you need the weekend character), you are at a disadvantage and the faction suffers if you somehow forget.
The lack of prizewall coins and the prizewall itself this weekend has to be improved. A couple of months ago, it was possible to get MoTU Austin for about half the price of the MoTU Becky this month I believe, but the point is, the MoTU Becky’s prizewall price has been inflated imo, that it felt like the players got taxed. I’m just going to gamble on the affiliation straps and call it a day for the prizewall.
The tours were simple and appreciated the many ways of getting the CSS done. I thought the survivor mode for the challenge tour could have been removed. Waiting 10 turns to go off before finishing the match is a total time sucker.
Overall, I really did not had fun playing this game this weekend. Although I love the edition of the structured SD leaderboard, the past midweek and this weekend’s SD will definitely change how I approach the future tournaments. I am going to look at the leaderboard at the beginning as I have a good idea who are the stronger SD players are. It will have a strong influence whether to chase or not and plan for one of the three choices I outlined earlier. Limited energy will dictate how I play in SD from now on until either it is removed completely (which I know will not happen, especially after playing Monopoly Go with the dice mechanic) or the energy recharge time is lowered to under a hour (also will not happen as it seems a hour is standard for Monopoly Go and this game now).

First off I would like to say I love the new bracket system for SD. This has put some fun back into this mode. I like that there are pulls for prizes (in most you have done so far) including a max pull, this makes the grind worth it. With that said this weekends SD was a huge let down. The prizes for the grind were not very good, except first place (the new moment). I was stoaked when event started though because I got lucky and had new becky for the event. Even with all the extra energy I got from the bonus character I had no chance of getting first place because you sell energy. I have no problem with yall making money at all that is what lets us play the game and you to keep it going. But in this mode it is absolutly pay to win. This should not be the case. You should not sell more energy on these events. Full stop. This could be one of the most fun competitive game modes but it needs to be fair for everyone. Also the points given away should have been bigger or maybe even for the sub event to max it out, making the grind more worth it. Hope this mode continues to improve.

Alright i want to begin stating that I like the new brackets leaderboard rewards as a concept,
BUT the rewards for anyone under the top bracket is mostly not worth the effort, there should be something so valuable in addition for the contest points (which also should be boosted for under 23-24 brackets) for the top 3 or 5 places for people to fight for because other than that SD is kinda boring and not worth the effort and time, and the individual contest requirements this time is really not fair and hard to accomplish because it is totally different than the requirements for the faction contest so I'm really at a sacrifice either to play for myself or for the faction because there's not much energy to contribute to both

Finally a showdown. We haven’t had one since
The daily showdowns. Right.
And the midweek showdowns.
At least you got rid of the cage rules.
OK, let’s get serious. I can’t do any more showdowns. You destroyed the game with forcing some crap like cage rules and showdowns down our throats until we vomit. And you reached that point.
Additionally, do you actually think we can play 8 hours every day? The whole week? It is way too many events, tours, blitzes, showdowns and other stuff all in one single day. Every day!Where is the fun in that for the players?

showdowns a joke. When you can only get 11k medallions with a top 10 faction it’s a joke. Period. Got all the free energy possible. Got to 28/36…. Would have to spend $400 to get to 32/36 to get 3000 more medallions and STILL COULD NOT GET THE 15k plates!!! A complete F’ing joke

the event was ok at best the thing I liked about the showdown event were…1. The chance to get a new moment is always exciting, the things I didn’t like about the showdown were 1.the bracket system having faction mates in your bracket before you couldn’t hit people in your own faction. 2.the tour that has the energy in it should not be available to do until the showdown is able to be done. (I did the tour on a Friday and got the energy and it counted for the Friday blitz where I needed the new Becky to advance and couldn’t use the energy on Saturday so I lost it) 3.you basically made the sd coin promoters useless as you need the noto promoters to climb the ranks. To fix this problem you would need to make the sd coins worth more to make it more balanced if I have 12 energy and I used 9 energy with the sd coin promoters to reach a milestone with points in it that leaves me 3 energy to use with my noto promoters, you can’t climb the leaderboards like that and I’m not going to buy energy for $5,$10 dollars that doesn’t even have pulls in it.

1st of m saying this from a F2P pov. The showdown this weekend I feel needs to have a more open format for F2P especially when needing energy players aren’t always going to have s+teir posters. The prize wall also I think needs to have better options as far as superstar posters go I don’t see the point of have bundy and Alexa there when a whole month was dedicated to getting them already. The new ranking system is pretty good also the unlimited energy being able to be purchased needs a cap imo

Very Good
The new format of the event is improving a lot, but I found the prizes to be much lower than normal, which makes the event a little demotivating.

I really enjoy the bracket system in Showdown. Even though matchups are randomized based on League, it adds a fun and competitive element to the event as players battle for the top spot. One suggestion I have is to consider capping the amount of energy that can be purchased. Making the $5 and $10 bundles a "one-time only" offer could help level the playing field while still supporting monetization for Scopely.
Regarding the weekend tours, the countdown timer was a bit unclear. I noticed the 24-hour timer in the bottom right and assumed it applied to both the Triple Threat and Challenge Tour. As a result, I used energy on the Challenge Tour, only to realize I couldn't proceed further without the new Becky. While I take responsibility for the mistake, clearer messaging around event timing and requirements would help avoid confusion in the future.
Additionally, the milestone gap between the gold chest at 9.4M and the prize wall medallions at 11.3M felt quite large. A nearly 2M jump is a significant leap, and it would have been nice to see those medallions spread out more evenly between the two milestones. Even finishing first in my bracket, I wasn’t able to reach 11.3M.
All in all, it was a really fun Showdown. The bracket format adds an engaging level of competition, and the rewards make it well worth participating.

I like the bracket system for showdown, that’s a fun new twist and being able to get rewards for finishing at or near the top of the bracket is good. However, paywalling energy behind tours where the new character is required is not a good look; it only guarantees that spenders finish at the top of the bracket. The medallion rewards were not all that great either, and many of the early bonus milestones featuring nothing but tokens is a little demotivating. Overall there are some good things and some bad.

the new format is a great addition to the game

Muchas gracias.

I quite enjoy the new SD bracket mode however this weekend's showdown had a few items that could use tweaking to make it great.
- The individual milestones for this event were extremeley high and the rewards for the lower ones weren't really that great.
- The extra sd energy for having BIB Becs meant that those who had her were unreachable in divisions unless you spent
- I think the much lower showdown coins reward vs higher shop prices means people aren't as incentivised to participate on the whole
- Lastly I think that the debuff for having lower players in your line up should be gotten rid of. Particularly when scores are based on use of certain superstars or types of tokens. The fact that the superstar is at a talent disadvantage is handicap enough without adding to it. With the new bracket mode it forces a lot of people to choose bracket rank or event scores.
As I said overall I yhink it was good just a few considerations to increase player enjoyment, participation and make it great

Was overall quite an uninspiring and disappointing weekend. The prizewall was pretty lacklustre and medallions seemed pretty tough to come by, the plates seemed pretty achievable but unfortunately just out of reach for me. Seems like the only way to have come out well from the weekend was to have recruited the new Becky early as there was a lot of rewards for her as css. This included extra energy for showdown which is a little frustrating as made the playing field even more skewed.
Top of the card was/is a great idea except it is massively monetised now as opposed to the original event. Having energy as an unlimited purchase item is really unfair to your free to play/low spend players. I topped my card twice on the original event and won 110 pulls, which was great as I would never normally spend the amount needed to get 2 mega pulls. This was based on me playing the game to the full and using strategy, this is what you claim you want the game to be. This weekend totally contradicted that, as by selling unlimited energy you have shown that what you really want, is too pitch the community against each other and have a battle of who can spend the most.
Still found match-making not perfect either. To gain more notoriety you are looking to match against people with higher notoriety than yourself but this was not always easy to find.

First off…I noticed there was NO ENERGY in contest milestones. Only from tours, waiting or buying.
I'm also noticing that the brackets are designed to try and put 1-3 people in it who will just buy however much energy it takes to win. They want to make money, I get it. This way they can get a LOT of people to spend enough to win the moment. Otherwise, no one would if it's only 1 person out of 10,000. But if you only have to outspend 20-30 people, easier. It's fine but it has taken some of the fun out of Showdown. I'm in the minority that likes Showdown more than Feuds. I mean…it was "OK", but not great. I still think you need to tier the prizes for top 3 a little better. Say, the top 3 get the moment. 2nd place gets the moment and more contest points. 1st place gets the moment, more points and then something (a belt, shards, whatever) This will still get you your spenders but give some of the low to non spenders something to shoot for.
The Feud contest elements were not great. Cross break gems? I get the new Becky has it, but still. It seems those were largely ignored by many people
Go back to perks. The "bonus" system is too confusing and doesn't seem to actually work half the time. I'm not here to read charts. I'm here to play. Make it simpler.

the whole new showdown rankings systems is not fair.. I scored a higher notierity than another one of my faction who finished second and I finished eighth in my bracket . U just come up against clear high spenders who but the energies so u never have any hope of anything decent from it . Plus trying to get the faction points against trying to maintain your ranking as well as trying to hit the milestones in the solo with tasks there aren’t enough energies to do it all

Bracket system.
The idea is good. But maybe if the brackets but the time zones always have certain players on disadvantage. Maybe by giving the total amount of energy to all the players could make it fair to everyone. (If in 24 hrs, with the refills a player have 30 matches, let us use them all) it could also help to reduce the amount of time one must be in the game.
Rewards: the milestone rewards were actually really scarce, even the golden chest reward was actually bad. If improved at least on that milestone it'd improve the moral of the community

All in all I like showdown weekends. I dont like the fact that first place reward is a moment that will impact the game overall yet in order to get 1st place you need showdown promoters to be at max efficiency and it takes MONTHS to gather enough evolve tokens for promoters. Then you have to spend real money to buy the refill energy to stay in first place for the remainder of time. Then you also have so many different tasks to complete between solo and faction. They really should be streamlined. Like I said I enjoy the concept of showdown however when bracketed with big spenders, it takes the competition out of the final outcome and becomes who can spend more.

This event was a disappointment to me.
- The milestone rewards aren’t worth it anymore. There was a time where missing a milestone was devastating and not it’s a shoulder shrug.
1a. Where were the BECKY SHARDS?! For it to be her designated weekend I shouldn’t have only got a little more than a hundred shards all weekend when I spent for loot.1b. The disparity in the faction rewards is disappointing when the best prizes on the prize walks are tens of thousands and some factions are getting 1000 or less medallions for grinding an entire weekend.
2. I like the tiered showdowns to the effect that the number one spot is in sight. What could be improved is that there was only one way to get that moment this weekend. It should’ve been a milestone in the faction contest or something.
3. I’ve been turned off by loot in recent months. I get that you are not always going to recruit a new superstar with every loot pull but to spend hundreds of dollars on megas and only get 35-100 shards of the superstar you are chasing who is a 2000-3000 shard recruit is so disproportionate that it is discouraging me from spending money. I used to spend a couple hundred and see the fruit of that now I spend upwards of 500 and still end the event with shards and not enough to recruit the superstar.4. I like the idea of energy being offered in tours.
5. I miss the days when you could recruit a chase superstar by grinding to a certain level in showdown as well as by trying the loot-shard recruit way. Maybe do that every now and then. Or at least have shards of the Chase in the showdown ranks.6. Lastly but still importantly the time for energy to regenerate is way to long and realistically people are going to spend regardless so that regeneration time should be shortened to 35-45 minutes and give people a chance to complete the milestones. I was 1,000 points off a milestone because I didn’t have anymore money to spend on energy and the reset time was way too long for me to play again before the showdown ended.

Showdown has become the worst weekend of the mlc by a long way.
The bracket system does give something different and fun to the mode and offers some good rewards for finishing first, however the bad far outweighs the good.
The first day is pointless for 99% of players and only sways the game futher in favour of the bug spenders. Even the event itself is all about who buys the most energy over anything else. The required contest superstars are often too obscure or the very elite so you have to burn through resources and spend hundrends to get to the upper levels of the contest.
The faction requirements mean you get killed off straight away as opponents beat you turn 1 if you use someone for requirements rather than the best you have available.
Even when/if you have most of the requirements and can complete css and destroy gem requirements, and if you spend to get extra energy. If you don't spend enough to win your bracket it's all for nothing and the top rewards and almost everything on the weekend prizewall are unattainable so what incentive does that give anyone to bother with this kind of event?!
As usual it only benefits the top few who can put seemingly endless money into this game.
All the editions and changes to this mode don't make it more challenging or more fun. They have ruined it, and it wasn't great to start with.
Rewards should be available to all for hitting a certain level or milestone and energy should be able to be earned in the game through grinding a tour as well as throwing money at it.
Remove a max energy amount and let players grind, earn energy and use it as and when convenient to them.
Make top rewards more attainable for the masses through gameplay and grinds rather than just to those who already have the best and rarest characters and who just put money into every event.
Make it a mode and game for everyone.

A contest consists of many elements, such as the
overall idea:The conceptual idea of the showdown is great, and I like the competitiveness of them.
Milestones:
I always believe that milestones can be improved. I would always like to see more shards for the weened competition offered, especially for those who reach the bonus section of each category.
Rewards:
It seems that the top superstars are almost always unobtainable for the above average player who spends on each contest. Scopely should consider lower the rate for the top their superstars.
Loot:
I am about done with paying for loot coins. The loot has become one of the least valuable aspects of the games. I primarily have completed the 7 pulls at one time loots, and when two most of the time three of the pulls are the same superstars I don't have value. A few months ago I was pulling regularly and receiving a new superstar or shards for upper level tiers, but in the last several months I may have received 2 top-tier superstars.
Difficulty:
You win some and you lose some, but I believe overall the difficulty of each match and showdown is fair.
Timings:
Some of the matches took far too long to complete, but I am not sure how you would correct that aspect of game play. I do wish that the showdown energy would refresh at a quicker rate. Also, once the showdown ends, leave the completed showdown up for a longer period of time to ensure everyone has enough time to claim their final showcase rewards.
Superstars:
No complaints about the superstars.

The overall event was just above the average for me.
The biggest negative for me was that people could just buy there way to the bracketed showdown's top spot. Those energies should not be sold as that is just discriminating for people who wants to be on top of their bracket without spending as there's no equal opportunities person who is buying energies and the one who's not buying. I know company needs to make money for the survival of game but they should provide equal opportunities in some competitive modes of game like this one and feud(where I think everyone already have). Also they can provide other attractive benefits for player who can spend in such a way that doesn't disrupt the opportunity for free to play players in showdown bracket.
The prizewall was not good for a mid level player like me. I have all A tier characters from past month and the S tier characters were priced out of my range, so I can only get strap or coin and other currencies only. You can provide some outdated rare superstars for lower price or their shards.
Apart from this, there were many good about this event:
I loved the fact that I was able to reach 249,999 milestone in showdown event without completing each and every task.
Tours requirements and css requirements were good mixture of common and rare superstars.
The faction task were fair enough to be done if player in faction coordinate and cooperate.
So, for me, the main bummer was energy available for money and in becky early recruit tour. Other than that it was good event.

It was not great. Not enough energy to get far on rewards. Basically those who pay will always finish on top

Overall I believe the Bec Showdown was fine.
What went right:
1. I appreciate the use of the Brackets in a main Showdown. It makes the chase for a reward a little more realistic for those of us in mid-leagues that could never hope to compete with the higher up players.
2. Having hourly Showdown energy refills makes it easier to achieve higher scores.
3. Having additional energy as CSS rewards in the tours also allows for additional battles.
4. Having the tours fit with the actual weekend matches (goldberg/gunther, Bex/bayley/Lyra) was a fun touch.
5. Having 6G JD Rhea and her Gear on the paywall was a nice option for "dolphins" (not whales).
What could be improved:
1. Restating a concern from the last SD, I would like some benefit from defense. I woke up Sunday morning to an over 200 pt drop in my score. Apparently the Showdown history is limited to the last 20 matches, so I do not know the full details, but in the 3 hrs prior to me waking up I had been attacked 20 times with 3 loses and 17 Victories, with the result being me still losing 200+ pts. So I had 14 net victories and my score dropped. I believe the Dev Diary on "Hype" referenced benefits for Feud defensive wins (it said loses but I assume that was a typo) but hopefully you will include some time of bonus to SD defensive wins as well.
2. The prizewall was a little lacking for this event considering most players would not get more than 7-8K at most. I understand this is a business and you want to incentive spending but it wpuld be nice if there was something somewhat decent in the FTP range.

I like how there are different groups which give more than one person, the ability to get the number one spot. But I did not like where number one spot got the moment I wish the refreshed sooner than an hour.
but overall the upgrades to the showdown is a lot better. It’s not as boring and the incentive to want to do. It is a lot better. Then in the past, I used to skip it altogether to be honest.

The worst event in the last 2 months. Let's look at exactly what was bad here:
- If you don't have the new Becky Lynch 50% of the event content is not available to you (3 rounds, 1 SD, the ability to get a new moment).
- Prize wall ("free wall points" do not give any opportunity to take something valuable from new characters (I do not take into account free ones, the event is not completely closed for them)).
- Only top 1 gives a good reward in this SD (in fact, they could divide the moment into 3-4 parts and give 1-3 parts of this moment for top 3).
- Without ALL the required characters you won't even get to the bonus points (this hasn't happened for a long time, too little energy was given for free)
Let's sum it up: A most disgusting event. In this case, even the midweek event was much better and more interesting in terms of rewards and engagement. I give the event 2/10.

I understand that Scopely wants people pulling for Becky, but honestly unless you have her you are going to struggle to either rank in the bracket or get gold on milestones. It shouldn't be that way. It's frustrating to finally clear bonuses and realize that unless you are going to spend you can't even get close to the moment.
Requirements were too tight for this one. Not even talking about the new 6sg -2 MP thing people are doing. I made it to gold by 1 point. 1. It shouldn't be that close.

My only problem with this weekend's event was the inconsistency of notoriety. I played many matches, won and would get 20 noto (120 with maxed promoters). Then one out of 7 matches would give me 350 with promoters. In the last 30 minutes, the guy in third jumped to 1st drastically, and I was spend to get 1st again, I was in first for most of the event, more than anyone else in my bracket. How is it that this happens? Get we get a more clear explanation of how notoriety is determined? How is notoriety different? What factors into increasing the notoriety? It was very depressing to spend so much time and money to lose in the last moments due to getting low notoriety as a result of my continous play. Missed out on the moment, again. Smh. Asking why I dedicate so much time, energy and money into the game?
Otherwise, the event was good. It was fun. I enjoyed the Goldberg and evolution themed tours, I like that being brought back into the game. How the game has some relevancy to current WWE events.

The new bracket is ok, but the Becky showdown wasn't go for rewards only first place gets the reward as 2nd and 3rd only get points. As the bracket is better for rewards. I'd like to add I am F2P so I won't buy energy as that's the only way you can stay on top, but glad you guys did something different least you tried.

I like these Showdown events, much more than the previous format. Having a shot at winning the prize makes it a little more exciting and while brackets are kind of luck of the draw, it seems like there are enough players to keep it mostly fair.
The first change I would make would be to lower the amount of energy you get per purchase or lower the amount you can purchase in total. Yes, I know you probably lose a bit of money this way but I think you'll keep more players playing in the long run. A few showdown events ago I think you had to pay 10 USD for 3 energy instead of this event's 10 USD for 12 energy. 12 energy with max promoters and high talent disparity translates into 5000-6000 notoriety, which is such a wild swing in some brackets. I think a lower purchasable amount would keep things more competitive as a lot of brackets seem to drop off steeply after the top 3.
The showdown event prize wall pricing, token accruement and event points need some rebalancing. If you're going to run an event where placement is based on notoriety, no one is going to run coin promoters and if they aren't running coin promoters, there's no chance in the current system to get anywhere near enough points to get all of the points needed to get all of the solo event points. I finished 1st in my bracket and did all of the CSS requirements besides the final Becky one and I think I only ended up hitting milestone 14/20. The amount of tokens available through the solo milestones and tours ends up being much lower than the previous showdown format and players can afford much less from the prize wall than they could before.
