It's a weird balance, people. You clearly messed up on your calculations and now you're punishing everyone for it. It puts a sour taste in everyone's mouths for no real gain.

The spending plan was borked to begin with. Trying to force a spend by throwing out some bonus points ain't the way. Should have just been 50k, half the total. It would make it easier for all to reach.

Has to be the absolute worst Halloween event ever. The point debacle fix is more of a trick than treat for the community. Happy to hear people who got the new Ozzy from pulls, but does not excuse the big error that could have been prevented if simple checking of the code happened hours before it goes live instead of being rushed as a WIP the day of.

This type of event, the error and resolution are why people are probably not spending as much or retiring from the game. If a little QC was done before hand and especially if the events are planned months in advance, there shouldn’t be issues like the ones encountered at the beginning of reset.

Let’s be honest. This is not the first time that the players have to suffer because of your inconsistency on the blog. Shockingly, it’s been 8 years and it’s like you’ll never learn from the mistakes and keep on punishing the people. That’s not how a business should operate. You have to make sure that if anything goes wrong you should take the full responsibility and make the right decision. We have just suffered through it during the past weekend with the ZLA Knight shard being cutthroat and this is even more devastating.

Tbh once the contest is live. You shouldn’t have to do any changes because before all that you have all the time in the world. yes, no doubt mistakes can happen, but it’s not fair to hide your flaws and like we going to screw up the whole community for this. Instead if you really wanna change something. Put some work on your programmers and developmental team members. So that players don’t have to suffer again and again because of your lacklustre behaviour.

It’s really disheartening to see that how you guys treated the community when it’s not even their fault. The inbox message was another example that how sceptical you guys are when it’s come down to solving or compensate the issue. If there’s fix solutions are anything to go by, it will be 7-10hrs from now, leaving us max 5-6 hours to strategies your spending plans. The factions who maxed the event will receive a free reward as a nice gesture and others who might be sleeping, working in an office or not important enough for our business can get aside. You can have fun as long as it stays. What a great way to start halloween weekend. Hatts off! This kinda makes me sad and feel like i have seen enough and have to slowdown on my spending habits especially for these kind of games and focus on some other things . Atleast where they really value their players and treated them well.

I have to say I was so excited all month about Halloween and you guys dropped the ball. 10 points per loot coin is ridiculous and makes the character cost thousands and then you reward players who took advantage of a situation with a new skill plate. Horrible event and wish it had gone way different.

Why not make a pull with ozzy wolf in rarity from 3sb to 5sb everyone gets a token and you get any rarity between 3sb and 5sb or make every 2 milestones worth a star on ozzy easy fixes i belive we get ozzy you get money

Completely dropped the ball on this one and it's not ccause I want ozzy I could care less. I'm in a faction that will receive a skill plate and thinkk the resolution is trash. After last year's zombie month I had high hopes from you scopes. This event and resolution is just the nail in the coffin of a trash event.

Give 40 Ozzy loot pull everyone and choice to pick one item of prizewall if you don't do that give 3 mythic jack o latern to everyone

once again you guys have outdone yourself!!!! In the past you have made some absolutely terrible decisions but this takes the cake, when other gaming companies back a mistake like this they just take responsibility and keep it moving but you guys are the only ones that roll things back and all you do is take any goodwill that u might have had with the community and totally throw it in our faces and you show how you really don’t care about this community at all!!!! Just do the right thing and let everyone keep him because your “fix” is an absolute joke

The compensation is underwhelming, to say the least. You guys have absolutely done compensation for your errors in the past the right way: the "Piper poster vs. Piper's plate" compensation a year or so ago.

All that is necessary is a "We hear you and we are adjusting the compensation. Every faction that participated in the first 24 hours will get a choice between a 2SB Werewolf Ozzy or an LA Bite plate. We sincerely apologize to the community." DONE. Everyone is happy at that point.

There is absolutely no reason to keep your player base upset like this.

ahhh typical Scopely. Nice solution: reduce score for all factions. So, except for Ozzy posters, someone will get rewards twice (once before reduction, and for the second time after reduction).

This is a complete mess and nothing about the solution/compensation is fair or appropriate.

First and foremost, this was a Scopely error and players should not be punished. Even when players are compensated appropriately, it gets tiresome participating in contests that are broken due to carelessness.

Changing the scoring mid-contest means that there is an imbalance between factions who earned the poster (now plate?) and factions who didn't play quickly enough. Are we really going back to the days of encouraging players to be online at reset to take advantage of mistakes? Just to be clear, any faction who maxed the contest should keep their poster and any other rewards that they earned fairly.

Adjusting scoring during a contest is also a complete mess because nobody knows where they stand. This is horribly unfair to players and factions who are spending blindly not knowing what rewards to expect or where they are on the leaderboard.

I feel terrible for my faction mates (I'm sure other factions were in a similar position) who were pressured into spending to 'max' the contest within an unknown timeframe just to earn a skill plate which doesn't even come close to matching the value of the money that was spent by players.

Many players also spent to help their faction earn Ozzy but then had the goalposts moved. Ozzy was no longer realistically attainable for them and their faction once changes were made. Should people who spent early in the contest expect to be refunded?

People have already mentioned the Piper Niven contest compensation which I feel is an appropriate comparison for this disaster. Everyone who earned points in this contest should be given a token to make a choice between a poster (if not Ozzy, then a new zombie) and any of the plates connected to the monthlong contest.

Most of the F2P players wait a year for MLC's like Zombies event and Christmas events to get something special here this year the event sucked with no excitement from the beginning atleast the final week would have been better but even that is shit. There are some rewards that is good but compared to previous years scopely's standard has fallen too low only to loot $ from the players and everytime you guy's say you listen to your players if you had listened this game wouldn't have gotten this backlash and lower standard. I am sure that the Christmas event will also be like this be prepared playa..

Scopley you out do yourselves everytime and shows how much you care or bother about you're player base, as for the so called fairness and compensation. It sucks . If players have spent on loot coins ,they should be refunded immediately and not some bs plate or rubbish as per usual . Zombie month . It's an awful contest. It's impossible for anyone to complete it. When Woken can't complete it you know it's an impossible task. You literally want people to spend thousands to finally get him.

I don't know how scopely can look at this contest as any kind of success. Between the botched scoring, the mishandling of the solution and the expectation that only the top 5 or 6 factions could realistically max the event (because they can open their wallet to the tune of 10 grand or more) with this wildly unattainable score for the Ozzy poster.

This game has been out how many years now? How are events and modes making it to release without testing and verification? Why do we as a player community continue to have issues every month with some mode or contest? This game should be beyond that. Esp given the "lather, rinse, repeat" formula for these MLC's.

Woken Warriors are the golden child of the game so they'll always be first, always get the top rewards. And really the fact they all have the best roster comes down to the fact their pockets are a bottomless pit and the vast majority of factions will never be able to compete.

This is ridiculous how you treat your player base. You messed up the event at the beginning bc your programmers can’t do their job right. This happens at least. AT LEAST 2-3 times a month. So now all the factions who maxed it and got Ozzy are basically given a big middle finger bc of your mess up. You’re a multi billion dollar company who can’t ever get the events right. At least one time keep it the way it was and let every faction have a chance to get the new Ozzy but no you want people to spend money. i honestly hope that people stop spending money on this game and make y’all realize that with the big spenders you would cease to exist. I hope people wake up and stop spending for at least one month until they learn their lesson. Scopely you need to do better! Any other company would make it right and let people keep the new Ozzy and other factions at least have a to get him.

So this event has been a really poor showing from scopely. First they put out an event expecting each faction to spend $20000 in a 24 hour period to max an event and get the rewards. Then they mess it up so badly that it makes it ridiculously easy to max the event and instead of just biting the bullet and looking after their customer base they decide to claw back the rewards given out and take nearly 12 hours to do so meaning factions are left with 12 hours (although most likely less as it was the middle of the night for most) to max an event still requiring 60% of it's original spend!

All this on top of recent huge spend events like turtles and zombies…….exactly how rich does scopely think it's average player is?

I think this has been handled extremely poorly and it all ultimately boils down to pure greed on scopely's part. So sad.

This was the end of ever having monthly membership at your game again. Your devs have messed up almost every single one of these since Spring 2024. Now you did this crap and punished the players for your ignorant mistake. Pick a cheek, Scopley, or kiss em both. You suck and just saved me about $75 a month on your game.
