Is this a bug or what we should expect from now on?
So I've seen people talking about how they've only gotten 5 shards from every bag this month for KO so I wanted to save them all up and open them all at once and see. Out of 44 bags I only got 220 shards. So is this what we should expect from now on even though the bags say 5-100 shards?

I checked with the team and the odds are correct so it's just RNG. generally speaking weighting will be heavier towards the lower options in bags.

But I'm not the only 1 who has seen this for the entire month. My entire faction, Facebook, multiple Discord, etc all only got 5 shards per bag.

all of my bags were 5 shards each too. So two players all with 5 shards on each pull means that the odds are so low that it’s not really random. It’s just a 5 shard bag. Don’t lie and put 5 shard bags. I’d respect that at least.

Also how is this considered RNG when out of 44 bags all only gave 5 shards? That's like saving multiple bags that contain X number to highest X number and you only get the lowest amount in every single bag. That's never the case. They need to take a closer look at this because hundreds of thousands of players all getting the bare minimum something is wrong with that if Scopely is confirming it's RNG.

Same for me. 5 shards in each bag all month. I’ve never seen this happen so consistently - I suggest Scopely run proper unit tests on RNG to make sure it’s actually working as intended. Or publish the odds for each shard amount so we know if it’s 99% 5 shards we shouldn’t worry and move on.

What the team doesn't want to say is that they intentionally mucked with the odds. The Finn Balor shards in February were nowhere near this bad - despite 5 being the minimum on those bags (I believe it was the first month that changed it so that 5 was the minimum), it felt like on average I was getting 10 or more. I was watching the shard count like a hawk because I ended up shard recruiting him off those bags (and some contest milestones in the month).
If the odds are "correct" then you're saying that it was an intentional change by the team to short-change players this month and make them think they could get more when previous months were more generous.

This happened with me also every time I opened bag, I got only 5 shards of Kevin Owens
After that I store all Kevin Owens shards bag, and then open all, but same thing happened again I got only 5 shards of each bag

A new "Low" from your "company" and the support... With the support agent confirming that "the odds in the bags are correct", means that, indeed there is nothing wrong, and indeed we are once again scammed!
Odds? There are no odds! Rigged pulls, as per the usual tactics!
Finally, with the support agent admitting that "the odds are always towards the lower options".... again, is confirmation that it's rigged! It reminded me the phrase "we are all equal, but some are more equal than others"....
Shameless behavior once more, challenging our intellectual capacity and forcing us out, after milking us like cows for years....

RNG is RNG. it's not a 100% chance to get 5 shards. it's weight towards that but it's just bad RNG.

Why I got only 5 shards each& every time when I open shards bag

my 44 bags were also 5 shards, so add that to the total, is it 1 bag in 1 million has 10 shards?

this was already reviewed by scopely. The value is NOT set to 100% at 5 shards. It's a more rare character and it's weighted heavier to the low end of shards.

They said that about blue tp back a few years too and they were wrong.
I note though that what we're being told is "it's not 100%". What is it? 95%? 99%?

Everyone is saying same thing that every time they got only 5 shards in each bag

just weighing in. If mine weren’t 5 shards, it was close. It was a staggeringly low amount.

I don't understand how you're saying the value isn't set to 100% on this particular bag when hundreds of thousands of players are chiming in about only getting 5 shards. I opened all 44 at once and only got 5 shards from each and you're saying it's weighted heavier on rare superstars. Where was that ever said? Also not true we've had plenty of rare ones and got more than 5 shards. That's what these bags are it's to aquire more shards of premium superstars. They're all "rare" superstars. The bags aren't for low tier superstars. This the only time this has happened so yes something is wrong. Also Scopely wanting to take a second look isn't a bad thing. People make mistakes. Maybe the first time they looked it was only a handful of players saying this issue but then as more and more were speaking out here and across multiple social networking platforms they were like okay maybe this does require more looking into.

And another thing if you're saying that some superstars are weighted different should not those odds be stated? Players this rare superstar has these odds but this superstar who is also rare has these odds. 5 shards in every bag out of 44 is crazy. Not 1 bag at a time all were 5 shards but it was 44 at once. Scopely said they were going to look into further and that's all we wanted. Saying that comment is like telling the player base no you're all wrong get over it. All you did was kick a hornets nest and stir everyone back up. Thank you Dk Mangler though for all your help and telling us Scopely will investigate it more.

Hello everyone. This was reviewed by the team and determined that the pay out is accurate. It is indeed a very low percentage to hit more than 5 shards on a bag. The reference we were given is to think of it similar to the daily login rewards you get. It’s almost always 8x, but in very rare cases you will see a 9x or 10x for logging in. Thank you

This whole month feels like scopely is giving us the middle finger and expecting us to like it and ask for more.
This situation is so much worse than the daily login rewards that it's insulting to say its similar.. Scopely must think their customers (without whom there wouldn't be a game) are the dumbest people alive.
