Engaging in the "It's Vader Time!" event within WWE Champions was truly captivating, immersing players into the electrifying world of professional wrestling. This experience offered an exciting opportunity to join thrilling battles alongside beloved WWE Superstar, injecting a fresh layer of excitement and immersion into the game.

A notable aspect deserving commendation was the event's cohesive thematic execution. The inclusion of Vader as a prominent character resonated deeply with fans, evoking a profound sense of nostalgia and enthusiasm. This thematic coherence not only elevated the event's appeal but also contributed significantly to a more immersive and enjoyable gameplay experience for players.

However, as gameplay unfolded, it became evident that Vader possessed disproportionately powerful abilities compared to other characters. This disparity undermined the strategic depth of the gameplay, diminishing the sense of challenge and reward when heavily relying on an overpowered character. Addressing this imbalance is paramount to preserving the integrity and competitiveness of the game.

To rectify the issue of character balance, a comprehensive reassessment of Vader's abilities is imperative. This could involve adjusting his statistics, refining ability cooldowns, or implementing limitations on his strengths to foster a more harmonious gameplay experience. Striving for balance ensures that all characters retain their viability, fostering strategic diversity and engagement among players.

    Positive Experience Explanation:

Participating in the "It's Vader Time!" event in WWE Champions was a thrilling journey that ignited my passion for professional wrestling. As a devoted fan of the sport, stepping into the virtual arena alongside iconic WWE Superstar was an experience beyond compare. every moment of the event was infused with nostalgia and excitement. As I strategized and executed moves alongside legendary wrestlers, I felt a profound connection to the rich history and spectacle of WWE. Each victory resonated with a sense of triumph. The event not only allowed me to relive cherished memories of watching WWE matches but also created new moments of excitement.

    Likes and Areas for Improvement:

Likes: The thematic coherence of the event was undeniably its crowning jewel. The inclusion of Vader as a central figure added depth and authenticity to the gameplay, transporting players into the heart of the WWE universe. The opportunity to engage in battles with a roster of recognizable Superstars, each embodying their unique personas and abilities, was a true delight. Furthermore, the meticulous attention to detail in capturing the essence of professional wrestling, from the iconic ring entrances to the signature moves, contributed to the immersive experience.

Areas for Improvement: While the event boasted several strengths, there were areas that could benefit from refinement to elevate the overall player experience. A notable concern was the perceived disparity in character strength, particularly with Vader. His overpowering abilities relative to other characters diminished the strategic depth of gameplay, leading to battles that felt less nuanced and rewarding. Balancing character strengths and weaknesses would not only level the playing field but also foster a more engaging and competitive environment. Additionally, the implementation of a more balanced finisher move system could enhance the tactical aspect of gameplay, allowing for more diverse strategies and outcomes.

    Suggestions and Mitigations:

Suggestions: To address the issue of character balance and enhance overall gameplay, a comprehensive reassessment of Vader's abilities is warranted. This may involve recalibrating his stats, adjusting ability cooldowns, or introducing limitations to his strengths to achieve equilibrium with other characters. Furthermore, soliciting feedback from the player community and leveraging their insights to fine-tune character abilities would foster a collaborative and player-centric approach to game development.

Mitigations: Regular updates and patches aimed at addressing balance issues and refining gameplay mechanics are vital for sustaining player engagement and satisfaction. Additionally, fostering transparent communication channels, such as forums and social media platforms, enables developers to glean valuable feedback from the player community and iteratively improve the gaming experience. By prioritizing player feedback and implementing targeted interventions, future iterations of the event can strive to deliver a more balanced, immersive, and rewarding experience for all participants.

    Overall Assessment and Conclusion:

In conclusion, the "It's Vader Time!" event in WWE Champions offered an exhilarating glimpse into the world of professional wrestling. While the event showcased commendable thematic coherence and engaging gameplay, there exist opportunities for enhancement and refinement. As a trial event, "It's Vader Time!" effectively captured the essence of WWE's rich history and spectacle, but there is room for expansion and fine-tuning. By addressing character balance issues, introducing a more balanced finisher move system, and fostering open communication with the player community, future iterations of the event can realize their full potential. Overall, I would rate the "It's Vader Time!" trial event a 6.5 out of 10, acknowledging its strengths while remaining mindful of areas ripe for improvement and innovation.

    Why was the tour changed?

Backlash Champion (Normal Any Undertaker, Hard/Any Shawn Michaels, Hell/Any Cody Rhodes)

That's what you have on the blog but its Undertaker the whole way until the last 2 nodes of hell.

starting with the contest tour, I think the main tours for the event were fine, it may be difficult for some people that do not have the bonus superstars if they are not available for purchase in the store either, just something to keep in mind when limiting the superstars you get bonus rewards for. I had all the bonus superstars for this event, but can understand how some might be frustrated.

For the Backlash tour and loot, I thought this was a great idea, the tour was fun, the rewards weren’t too difficult to get and offering side played is a good incentive for players to try.

Boss battle continues to be a struggle for some teams as there aren’t too many easily achievable levels, this makes getting the gold chest in the solo loot near impossible unless several people on your team can band together and grind out the games. One suggestion could be making the superstars required be effective against the boss, thus incentivizing teams to use these superstars.

One last note on boss battle, for example this weekend we had “Beat the boss on level 15 with any Bam Bam Bigelow” instead of limiting the amount of boss battle coins users can earn maybe we can change the requirement to “Beat the boss on level 15 OR HIGHER with Bam Bam Bigelow”

Thank you for the continuous hard work you put into the game

So boss battle. Not great. Lots of crashes and freezing up for multiple people at the same time in my faction, making it difficult to achieve points. Very limiting if you didn’t have a few certain characters to get through with high damage that were pretty premium to get. If connections could be more stable, that’d be a good help. The freeze and mp increase was also a bit rough shall we say.

Vader himself as a trial was pretty cool and fun to play for his tour. just wish the rewards were a touch higher with as many resources you keep dragging out of us.

The tours weren’t too bad and ph Vader revamp was kinda nice work for that 12mp move btw.

Hopefully Mays MLC will be better and I can get some miracle luck with Vader lol.

    It’s Vader Time
Poster looks amazing and the artwork is brilliant. The mask took me back into 1990’s wcw era. Very nostalgic

Shards available for me personally was short of 5. I managed to get 1220 so I’m not sure where the other 5 are as I’ve done everything as required.

I did like the available shards on offer and I would have spent to shard recruit Vader as they were available if I choose that path

The faction boss was very enjoyable, I loved the faction part in us all earning and grinding for the faction rewards. I really enjoy all the tasks in the (beat the boss mode) Our faction managed to max but it was challenging but in a good way.

I had issues with the boss battle as my timer would start at the 38 sec point and then time down. This personally was very frustrating but they are looking into that bug. Regardless I still managed to help my team the best I could.

The limited time tours were also enjoyable, and even though some of the tours required the use of the Mastodon, with a little upgrading this was possible, hard and challenging but possible and most importantly rewarding. For me the challenge itself is very important and keeps me entertained and coming back.

My highlight was the backlash prizewall, I thought this was an impressive addition and very welcomed. We all had to use 3 different posters to gain this reward and it was possible for most players. I ended up taking the (real American plate) I don’t have that one so it was a great win for me. I would love to see this connected with the ppv at least monthly. I’m sure all will agree on the positive’s with this.

The Main prize wall had many selections available and something for everyone, wether you wanted to chase shards, or gears, or belts, everything was accounted for, this is very much appreciated and although I didn’t collect heaps of medallions, with our faction maxing the competition, we got an extra 3000 medallions so I can at least get something of my choosing.

Please keep up the great selection and rewards.

The loot pulls didn’t entice me so much this time. I would have loved to see Sherri in there plus a few others who were represented in the prizewall but not in the loot. The odds for me lately have been not in my favour so I’m waiting for the ultimate loot to entice me. That’s a challenge for you to accept.

All in all, a very enjoyable event. I hope this continues.

I'm really not a fan of this format of faction contests requiring to grind hundreds of CSS, especially since weekend boss is a shorter competition. It's repetitive and not fun. And FYI my faction has maxed the event. It ends up being a select few who have the CSS and a few others who can carry repeating over and over.

You also botched the Backlash Champion tour by requiring Undertaker for normal and hard modes.

Aside from this, Vader looks great, very cool looking. But it feels like this event was missing soke flavour in the way of using characters who Vader interacted with. There were two Vader tours and it feels like one could have been changed, maybe some WCW requirements or something just to mix it up.

Tours were good so no complaints there

Boss battle went fine but the one thing I'd like to see changed is the css picked better so they can be helpful atleast. Terry funk and logan paul had no real impact so having to grind out tons of matches was just people getting carries. It should of been people who were yellow gem creators to atleast have help breaking a shield.

I still don't get the prizewall pricing. 18600 for 100 shards of Melo, taker and Sheri seemed steep compared to punk for half the price. I did like the Saturday tour with the three medallions where you could get a skill plate or resources.

In Non event requests I'd like to see new hof tokens more frequently pop up especially since hof characters have been required or showing up in loot more. Maybe the showdown store, the mlc shop, or even the weekend event prizewall.

The Vader poster looks very good, the charcater look in the game looks okay, just a little bit copy and paste of his first poster in the game. His move sets are very over powered (it should be balanced, because nobody is going to kick out against him with his finisher), one of the best posters right now in the game, if i have him i would take him immediately to 6 star silver.

When it comes to the event, the main issue is how expensive it's become to get a premium character. You end up having to shell out a lot of money just to have a shot at getting one. It feels like you're not getting enough for your buck, especially considering the price tag attached to these events. It's like the scales are tipped too much in favor of spending rather than getting fair value in return. It would be great to see some adjustments made to make the whole process more reasonable for players who don't have a fortune to spend on the game. After all, everyone should have a fair chance to enjoy the game without feeling like they're breaking the bank.

The availability of shards through various competitions and offers, without the option of purchasing, can be described as somewhat disheartening. It illustrates a stark reality: no matter how diligently one grinds or battles for the premium character, such as Vader, the ultimate goal of recruiting him remains elusive without spending money and relying on a stroke of luck. This dynamic underscores a broader tension within the gaming community, where the pursuit of coveted characters or rewards often intersects with the limitations of free-to-play models. It begs the question of whether there could be a more equitable balance struck between the aspirations of dedicated
players and the revenue objectives of game developers.

Faction Boss: The Faction boss event unfolded in its usual manner, albeit with a hint of intrigue stemming from the stark contrast between what players possessed and what they lacked, symbolized by the posters. In factions where multiple premium characters offering bonus points were abundant, the battles would be very quick with premium characters on it, however the timing of the boss event initiation proved less than favorable for European players, coinciding as it did with The Backlash Pay-per-view. This scheduling clash exacerbated frustration levels among participants, particularly those grappling with formidable bosses, as their desire to complete the event clashed with the urge to partake in the highly anticipated PPV. Remarkably, despite these tensions, Disconnections issues remained absent throughout the event.

    The rating i give is a 7/10

Faction Boss Shop: Normal as always ,good shards offers, very helpful if you want to take characters to 6 star.

Solo contest: Getting solo points this time was really easy for me, having characters which was required for the solo tour. Reaching the final milestone, (golden milestone), felt like no trouble at all, especially compared to past events. And let me tell you, getting 12,500 solo points every time you pull is a improvement compared to other events i remember. Having so many points made moving forward in the event super smooth and made the whole experience feel even better. the rewards are the same compared to other past events.

    Rating: 7,5/10

Solo tour and the pulls: The tour itself was decent overall. The increased solo points compared to previous events definitely made it easier to hit that final milestone, which was a relief. However, there was one aspect of the solo tour that left a bit of a sour taste: The Hall of Fame (HOF) Undertaker requirement. It seemed a bit unfair to penalize players who didn't have access to this particular character, especially considering that many in the game don't. This requirement definitely stood out as a negative point in an otherwise normal tour. As for the rewards, they were pretty standard, nothing too extraordinary, but still decent. Overall, while there were some highlights, like the increased solo points, the tour could have been more inclusive and balanced in its requirements to cater to a wider range of players. The Pulls: This time around, the pulls for the Vader event didn't quite live up to my expectations. It was disappointing to find more shards than posters in the loot itself, which felt like a missed opportunity to acquire new characters or enhance existing ones. Another drawback was the repetition of the same posters that had appeared in previous events, with the exception of the premium characters, which were indeed a highlight. Additionally, the inclusion of shards in the featured loot was a letdown, as it meant that any pull from the featured section would yield shards rather than a chance at something more exciting. Overall, while the event had its moments, the loot system left much to be desired in terms of variety and excitement, detracting from the overall experience.

Prize walls: The event did come with some appealing offers, particularly the plates for the straps, which were relatively easy to obtain if you had all the required characters. Additionally, the main Prizewall had enticing offers featuring shards and tokens that added value to the event experience. However, a recurring issue with the Prizewall, spanning across past events as well, was the scarcity of currency available to access its rewards. To address this, my suggestion would be to provide more currency in the early stages of the solo contest (the milestone rewards). By doing so, players would feel more incentivized and rewarded for their participation from the outset, enhancing the overall engagement and enjoyment of the event.

    Rating: 5/10

The Faction Contest: I really appreciated this event for a few reasons. Firstly, the accessibility factor was a big win, especially for those in active factions. It felt like there was a real sense of community and collaboration, making it easier to achieve milestones and reap the rewards together. Secondly, the generous provision of 4.7 million solo contest points added an extra layer of excitement and motivation. It gave everyone something tangible to strive for and made the event feel more dynamic and engaging. Overall, it was a refreshing change of pace, and I hope to see more events structured in a similar way in the future. It really goes to show that with the right balance of accessibility and challenge, gaming experiences can be enjoyable for everyone involved.

    Rating 8/10

The Vader shards: I really liked how this event gave out shards for free through both the
solo contest and tour. It was a pleasant surprise and made the event more enjoyable. I think it would be great if they continued to do this in future events.

    Rating: 7/10

The whole event itself as rating: 6,5/10

This event could be better if it wasn't limited for players who didn't have access to some characters in solo tours, and it would have been even better if there were some new features or mechanics introduced alongside them. It's always exciting to see the
game evolve and introduce fresh elements that keep things interesting for players. Maybe we see the next time something new like new added gameplay modes or special challenges (something new like Faction Boss or Showdown event).

PH Vader revamp was very nice, tours were good. Cool to be able to earn a skill plate on the rarer side through tours. Boss battle faction contest required too many matches for some of the characters, like 200 with Logan is an insane amount given the rarity of those who have him and how short the Boss Battle was. Boss Battle itself felt fairly manageable, but if you made it to turn 3 that freeze move and mp raise could be brutal combined given how few characters did significant damage

Tours were fine, HOF Undertaker was a weird block to throw up for players.

Boss battle criteria was too high. Maybe halve the plays needed and double the points so it isn't a soul crushing grind. Especially with the CSS, by definition they're hard to get as is and making those few have to work even harder is silly.

Weekend events shouldn't feel like work. They shouldn't require people to destroy their sleep or work habits. You can run your gacha AND let people have time for other things.

The tour to get the medallions (Backlash Champion) in hell mode was so weird. The last match you could use any Cody to get the medallion, but you have to have a specific HBK(DX) and specific Undertaker (HOF) to get those matched medallions. No consistency.

The blog showed 1 medallion to buy a plate in the event store but live it went up to 3 medallions per plate. This just feels awful and NOT rewarding. "Subject to change" is a poor excuse for getting peoples hopes up.

Boss Battle task are just sweat shop chores. Some of those CSS are paid for and when you are in a faction when only a couple players have that poster, it does not feel good at all. It stops being about a team game and starts being about "how much have you spent today?" You can make this event so much more fun.

Still the fact that you did not give the correct number of solo points for this MLC, is so hurtful to all of us who are dedicated to this game. Many faction mates needed to spend more to max this MLC when they never had issues in the past.

Also going to take this time to say thank you to @ScottGoBlue and anyone else that has brought awareness to these matters. Allot of us enjoy this game Scopely and you are just pushing us away. In the end its just about the money you made from the player base, right? Sad day.

First of all, starting with the Trial Tours and the feedback. It is always nice to try out the new superstar on your own and not only depend on the videos from the content creators. They are very helpful showing several builds, but sometimes you have other trainers and coaches as they have, so in trials you can unleash your own potential. It gives players a clearer picture about their opportunities. The reaction after the feedbacks about the power level of Vader was also very quick and Scopely managed to change the MP before the Boss competition started, so that is very positive. Especially regarding the past events where the moves of a superstar were changed after the official release. I would like to have more trial events in the future, because with more playtime we can find errors or possible builds that can be abused by several plates, which would give an unwanted advantage for some of the players.

The Event provided enough points to get the final free reward, which should be the base element of any event. The task list where you can get solo points on your own was reduced, there were no options to get extra solo points with battling certain superstars against the Boss. This option could be re-introduced with 1 or 2 characters. Every event type has this restriction, I don't see a problem why Boss Battles should not have this option. The other tasks could be further related to spending, the points provided by spending are plausible.

Faction Boss Competition is finally about its name. You should work together as a faction and reach those milestones together via playing game with required superstars. I very much like this new point of view, because it helps out other players in the faction, who don't have that rare superstar, yet they can get points thanks to their faction mates. The points and limits are set in a way that you can reach all the milestones with a little grinding.

Limited-time tours become open to all, which is beneficial for the whole community and the contests superstars were also not as rare as usual, which was very delightful. The Saturday tour with the option to get yourself Backlash Champion tokens was a nice addition. Very pleased with this chance to get a new skill plate simply playing the hell mode. Maybe the next time I would like you to include also some superstar shards (25 shards for 1 token e.g.)

After all these positive things I have to point out also some negative part of this event. My main issue is the prize wall and the amount of Medallions I can get thru the contest. I got a top 10 reward from the faction leaderboard, played all the tours with contest superstars yet I stuck at 7.7K medallions, while the prizes of some items are 2x or 3x higher. Even with a 7-Pull I couldn't have reached the next milestone. The amount of the medallions given out is low in comparison to the Showdown event, where you can get enough medallions to buy shards for a rare superstar. Instead of the solo points the faction leaderboard should provide medallions and the solo points should be obtainable via solo event tasks by playing with required superstars. I understand that Boss Battle superstars are great and fantastic trainers, but they should be somehow attainable for grinding players.

Tour was interesting, except needing HoF Taker for 3rd special coin.
Faction Boss is going in right direction to be Faction Event, but way you made this Event is just for Premium members, top 100 Factions or maybe top 50, not sure. Rewards for doing this Boss are not even close of being enough looking at how much time we needed to invest in this Event. Few of us strongest had to be in game at least 17 hours. That's not normal. Final result as Milestone was Bronze Chest. Unacceptable. Some Special tokens for Store were only available for money, not good.
Positive this week was new levels for Road Tour and that finally we don't need to re-enter all Expeditions after Trial wrestler ended
