Feedback - Bring back Damage Display

In a recent update, it was brought to my attention that when your superstar finishes an opponent off, you don't see the total amount of damage done by your superstar. This apparently was a previous glitch that has been fixed to where the message displayed in the pin bar is 'knocked out'.

Is there another way/place this damage total can be shown? Yes, a part of the actual match is to defeat the opponent so as long as they are knocked out, it shouldn't matter. However, to paraphrase a recent update from Scopely, 'the way we have played the game is going to change.'

It is incredibly helpful to see what the damage capability is for several reasons. One is to help younger players continue to the learn the game and have an understanding of the type of damage experienced players are doing. Second, when it comes to testing out different combinations of movesets/trainers/coaches, etc. ahead of an event impacting the faction (like a boss battle or a faction feud). Having an understanding of what a ss is capable of is key.

Yes, some testing could be done in stipulation tours, but if a superstar does not do that much damage, we lose and get kicked out, forcing us to use another game currency (in game cash) to buy back in to complete the tour to get resources that are needed from the stipulation tour. This hardly seems appropriate to be the game mode to test character ability.

It seems that removing the damage count from the pin bar was to fix something that was not necessarily broken and has done a disservice to the player community.

I also think this damage information that's being removed is very useful to players. We didn't see it as a bug. We saw it as a valuable feature. Lots of players in this game are into the damage math and attempting to figure out in advance what it will take to win matches before they start. And that information was vital to our research.

Please revert this change and allow us to continue to see the amount of damage we do when we drain the full life of a character.

This is actually very important to know the final pin damage. For all modes. Was happy it was finally working then boom gone again. Please fix this as soon as you can.

  • Definitely want to see pin damage. How can you not realize this is a key component to the game?

Can this please be brought back? It is a useful tool for the community especially when content creators are previewing and explaining different things within the game.

I agree with the other players who have posted. Being able to see the damage was a really great and helpful addition and I hope it is brought back. It would also be helpful to add a training area where we could test plates without having to use the plate tokens.

Even in stipulation tours it's needed as well, knowing what gives you the best chance at damage to get a good ranking is essential to that part of the game and would appreciate you bringing that back 😉

  • It's not good at all we can't see the Damage So we can't able to Do calculations for FEUD and BOSS BATTLE etc. PLus i also faced a few Freezes after Update hopefully you fix everything very soon.

    THANK YOU

Agree with all of the above. This is so helpful in deciding who to bring up in current and future metas of the game. I would love to not have to use a calculator to play the game.

At some point in the last few days a change was made so that damage from a pin no longer shows when you pin your opponent. This needs to be fixed. It may not seem like it but this is very important information. We need to be able to see this so we know how to set up cards. Especially with all the crappy cards you are requiring players to use lately. Please bring this back .

I agree with all the above posts. I too like to see how much damage I have hit for when "knocking out" the opponent. It helps me determine the best setup, especially when several SS have similar builds or builds built around the same color of gem. I like to know which trainers work the best on who so come feud time, I might be able to use multiple heavy hitters and set them up slightly different but still not taking away their major damage. I can also see how it would help the content creators when publishing videos. My faction also has the brag type posts within it when it comes to using certain SS in certain game modes. Its fun and keeps people engaged with each other. Scopley bring it back please.

Been able to see knockout damage was extremely useful for testing out the potential of characters I wanted to take up for the new meta.

On the flip side it’s easier for yourselves to sell a character who can have proven damage visible by the CC. More players will be inclined to spend on a character who can do 20m+ over one who does 6M. Bigger numbers = more money.

Everything that has been said above nails it on the head. We like to have fun and see what our cards can do and with this change we have no idea what we are exactly hitting for.

Before changes like this are made, I would highly suggest you talk to your player base or at least your cc creators. These are the ones that are working behind the scenes trying to find the best ways to promote the new cards you role out each week whether they are good ones or not.

  • Being able to see the damage from each poster or card does make a world of difference especially when you decide to invest in that character doesn’t make a lot of sense to take that away business wise .

Why do you all continually feel the need to "fix" things that do not need fixing? You are so far out of touch with your player base that quite frankly, is amazing. As others have mentioned, seeing the final damage is beneficial in many ways. Set it right.

  • Hello Champions Team,

It appears that since your last update we can no longer see the amount of damage caused by characters. We as a community hope that you would please bring that display back to the game. It not only helps your content creators share their knowledge of realistic movesets with straps , medals and plates but helps everyone have an idea about how much damage we need to make to finish off opponents.

I understand some things get lost in recoding but this is one code that needs to be restored. Hopefully this is something that is an easy fix and even if it isn't I would personally rather you shut the game down for a couple hours until it is fixed. There are so many fixes over the years everyone has asked for and been ignored. Please don't ignore your community in asking for putting back in the game what we used to have. Thank you for your time in reading my message and as Mick Foley would say "Have a nice day!"

Being able to see the damage your character does is a key component to pretty much every aspect of the game.. To take that away from the players severely alters the way people look at characters and also decreases our incentive to spend if it's unknown if anything is actually improved by getting a new character/medal/strap etc. Please correct this.

The excitement of leveling up your superstars and seeing the damage output shown at the pin was very motivating.

Dont even understand why would you remove it.

    G'day Team,

I would like to see the amount of damage being done.

Would also like to see commas in all numbers over 9,999.

    Thanks,

    Yo Joe

Come on guys. Work on the stuff that's actually broken. Like judgement day Rhea's face. Leave the cool stuff alone. I think not only should you bring back the damage total you should make it pop like in the old batman TV series. Pow, wham, slap 😂

Whilst the damage shown may have been initially unintentional, it has proven to be a useful tool for gauging how useful a character is and for helping guide the player base on who to work on within your roster.

The damage output shown in the CC's videos is also a great selling point and has actively persuaded me to spend on specific releases.

    Please bring this back.

Fully agree on this topic. This is a very useful piece of information when planning and building our Superstars.

  • Yeah its really helpfull to see damage so yeah bring it back.

please give it a possibility to see the total damage dealt... like in the pinbar! ;-)

it was great to test movesets and look for the best trainers for damageoutput

  • I understand trying to change things for the newer players, but don’t drive us older loyal players away, either!! We’ve relied and based our whole style of play based on seeing the damage total on screen, and it needs to remain that way!! Leave that part of the game alone!!

-How about giving us chances to get the players that we can’t get anymore… like HOF & Wolfpack Sting… and RIP Luke Harper… should throw that one in as a freebie for us!!

  • I wasn't happy with the fact that I can't see how much damage I'm dealing, same as watching a preview of a character, for example if a character does 5m damage and knocks opponent out, we would think that the character is good against 6sb and 6ss but the problem is he may not be. I saw some moments when even Content Creators have issues about not knowing how good character is, they may think of a number but they need minutes to calculate all of that. Obviously I'm not the only one who wants damage display to work correctly.

It wasn't a previous glitch that's how it was intended but the team is aware of the feedback on this and looking into it.
