RHODES TO REDEMPTION

This showdown wasn’t much different from the others, but I like showdown. This one made me use strategy wisely as some of the bonus characters I didn’t have high enough to face a lot of the opponents I faced. Not a bad thing as it made me think how I wanted to go into each match. I do like that a lot of the bonus requirement characters were based on groups and not just a certain character. Due to that there we’re only 4 I couldn’t complete minus Cody since he was the weekend character and I didn’t get him.
As for the tours, pretty standard for weekend events, but the rewards have definitely gotten better. Sure, someone like me doesn’t have all the required characters to get the bonus rewards. But it’s okay because it gets me to work harder on other parts of the contests to reach milestones.
For the milestones, I was happy to see mlc points as part of the reward. It feels like it’s been hit or miss lately if they would be included in weekend rewards .I feel like maybe/maybe not affected me last month. Sure they amount was extremely low at the beginning milestones, but the increase as it went on was nice.
As a negative or improvement area, I wouldn’t find if the weekend showdowns had there own shop like Faction Boss. It could have things like a one time buy of an d amount of weekend character shards, or shards for bonus characters. Just something for that 24 period that differentiates it from normal day to day showdown shop.

Nice changes to Cody. Cost to max the event is extremely unreasonable.
Open first slot for offense was welcomed.

All contests just seem to be geared to weeding out the players who won't spend money for the minimum amount of effort by the developers. There are a lot of contests which is good, but the fact that most players cannot participate because of the incredibly limiting requirements make them kind of redundant. The days where you could either grind to max OR spend to save time seem to be a distant memory, and the Cody contest was a prime example of this. It's a shame that greed has overtaken what made this game so popular in the first place!

as someone who enjoys the grind overall it wasn’t a bad event but as someone with a limited roster I kind of wish there was more points to get without some being locked behind characters that are rarer to obtain

The tours were ok, but the css requirements were a little rough. I had all but 2 of the showdown css and I didn’t even hit the 14th milestone. I did the math and even with them, I’d have been short. Another event where most people couldn’t hit the last “free” milestone in the solo contest. I spent and still couldn’t hit it. The loot pulls were terrible, even with the accidental $20 40 mega pull. I like this game, spend money every week and have been playing since day 1, but the last few events have felt really bad.

Having 24 energies paywalled behind two rare characters was a major drawback for me. You want people to play this game as much as possible. Don't limit their time on the game by putting activity behind a paywall. It limited my participation, made me frustrated, and made me spend my time doing something else.

Tours were very restricted but the contest superstars required didn't give much rewards more than a few shards and faction contest points.
Showdown event was pretty good. Think you already found the perfect formula for this type of event.
Offering for $20 Sami CT was very sweet for me since I don't have any of the new samis so it was nice.
The cherry on top was the 40 pulls for $20. This should be done more frequently on purpose.
Overall, it was a good weekend to play and spend a few bucks

Overall, tourney was great. Character looks solid but not used him. I do think a lot of old characters are pushed as bonus characters for extra rewards (B & C tier) that generally don't get used and you are wasting our resources for your own gain. That needs to stop!

Positives
- tour requirements were reasonable.
- coins for a loot pull and energy were a good addition
- showdown bonus characters were reasonable
Negatives
- loot pull issue. The mindset of releasing a gasp reasonably priced loot pack that is tied to leaderboard, then reducing the amount allowed to purchase after its discovery is just so on brand. Penalize players who may not be on right at event start, reward those that take advantage. No reason to not leave the option to purchase all 3 for everyone besides greed and just irritates/alienates your loyal player base
- not including bonus showdown coins earned from promoters to contest points

The Cody event was decent I actually liked it but the prizewall was difficult to even get a 3ss Cody ..I grind all event and couldn't get him because he was to much

Good event! Didn’t get Cody but will eventually! I like the way he has alot of nice move sets! Showdown is fun! All in all solid event!

Felt like it was too soon to have another Cody poster, however, felt that there were a healthy amount of shards available compared to previous campaigns.
Showdown event looks good. Most of the requirements were not hard, and it was easily grindable compared to other showdowns, however, without all the required superstars, maxing the rewards for the showdown wasnt possible.
Felt the tours were a bit underwhelming considering that not everyone have all the characters required so it made it less enjoyable. Was hoping that there would be a mixture of tours to reward both faction and individual.
Overall I would say this campaign was good and the poster artwork was nice.

no pude jugar, ya que me derrotaban muy fácilmente, no importaba que tan fuerte fuese mi luchador.

I would think he would've been s tier... the contest was good.

Overall I think that the event was a bit better than events in the past. I just wish there were better ways to unlock/ get points for the F2P players. Maybe make more turns with more feature characters if have to play more turns for a chance at more points for the events.

Pros
no bugs or technical issues other than the Wi-Fi out symbol like normal,
thought css for showdown and tours were fair, although if your hoping people spend to get them out of loot the. Maybe leave the odds of getting them out of loot as normal even when you mess up.
energy system seems to work well in showdown not really getting issues with it.
Prizewall was good and the loot coins for shards again I like that idea, being able to pick them up as part of your is great
cons :
the loot coins mess up, don’t offer some of the community one thing and the other another, people who took advantage of it to begin with got 4 goes, people who didn’t got 1, decreasing the odds of pulling someone or decent shards was bad makes you think more and more about why waste money on loot coins.
tours were all faction points based, I feel should be half solo and half faction, in events like that not of factions are going to max those events so would of been nice to be able to get some more solo points

A strange event again.
Positives
- The loot issue. As someone that rarely has the funds to spend, this was one opportunity where I had to dip in and get the 40 deal. It was very worth it for me, I got 9 new wrestlers:
- 5SG Tech Bayley
- 5SB Afa
- 4SS Tech Roman
- 5SB Earthquake
- 4SB Bulldog ‘92
- 4SS HOF Yokozuna
- 4SB Tech Shayna
- 4SS Tech Mankind
- 4SB Bruno
- This gives me so much to work on for the next while and also unlocked two moments (Gimmick Battle Royal and the Hell in a Cell '98)
- Cool to see Trickster Sami for Sale.
- I enjoyed the set ups of Showdown and the struggle for me between using people I can stomp with vs Tech guys for the bonus.
Negatives
- The loot issue. Wild how broken that seemed to be for some people. Also a bit rich to still have it as a deal rather than a free thing, considering how much people could have gotten from it. Its not a great state when the only time a long-time f2p user like me even thinks about spending is when a $100 deal becomes $20 by accident.
- The energy limit. This one screwed me out of the 13th milestone. I ended with around 15k points short, which I would have happily grinded to get the next reward, but couldn't and left the event with a bad taste in my mouth. I played the maximum amount of matches I could based on the energy system. I couldn't earn new energy because I didn't have any of the premium characters. I did all the extra matches I could and still ended 2 milestones from completing. No matter what. That sucked. It should be completely grindable. 15min for new energy would work. 30 does not.
- Prizewall: I ended the showdown with 11.5k tokens for the prizewall. Not really super useful to get anyone.
- Tours: Rotten choice of premium stars.
- Nothing to do on Friday Night (UK time) but one extra tour. This is when showdowns should begin.
Ended with 11.5k in prizewall, and 400/1600 for Cody.

Hgh level review: Long and hard grind for players who can't/won't spend money to improve their rosters to make the event even somewhat attainable. The Showdown was probably the best aspect, with the tours being the worst because as always the characters needed to complete all levels are hard to obtain. The game is still fun to play, for now, but if it continues to be too hard to obtain the new characters I see alot of people giving up on the game as they get left behind.

Well done bro. Couldn't have been expressed any better.

This July event has been empty and fruitless. I like the new prize wall but the currency and key shards are so spread thin. At this point in the monthly contest, I would have far more than what has been obtained. Also rewards could be a little better for factions that finish in the top 100, people grinding and people investing monetarily in your game. There has to be a system in place for people grinding (like playing for at least 5 hours everyday) extra TP or Coins. Something.

This showdown was fairly solid. I thought it was good and that the css for the showdown was good because it allowed everyone to participate getting the points. I think the shards in the bag were great because they offered a lot of Cody shards. The shards on the prize wall though were not that great. I think they need to be offered at a lower medallion amount or offer a bigger options of different superstars. Like offer the superstars that were released longer ago for cheaper and the newer ones be a little more expensive. The tour superstars were good except for the tour that had striker Cody, powerhouse and tech Sami. That tour was a little restrictive. The tour should offer more solo contest points. Felt like these tours offered way more faction points than solo points. It was a pretty solid event.

The o ly issue i had with the contest is showdown points to max. If you are missing 3 guys you cant max the showdown, even eith promoters and playing literally all day. Thats what i dod the past 2 times and never got there. I wish you could add a talent up portion to at least cover the points of one character, 90k. That way we have a chance to max or if we have the extra characters needed, we dont have to lose sleep trying to get energy to complete matches.

It was a decent contest overall. It's still hard for some of us to max out SD Contest due to missing CSS. But overall it was nice to not having to grind as hard as usual.

You should rather respond a little to the smaller players again and also allow them to at least get close to the recruitment. Otherwise, Cody looks very good and becomes a monster with his subs.

Really enjoyed how many opportunities there were for Cody Shards. I did think the redemption medallion prize wall was too elevated, however. I had completed the gold chests in both contests and still wasn’t really able to capture a decent prize. Prizes were better, however. Like to see more of the drip plates that many of us in top factions haven’t been able to conquer.

I have to agree with a lot of people saying that the store screw-up could've been handled better from a player perspective. I understand from a company view just how much money allowing everyone to buy 3 would cost. That's just a sunk cost of goodwill to a player base that isn't seeing any.
The amount of shards available was fairly low, as were the points overall outside of showdown.
I am liking the event stores, but more access to characters (some of us don't mind building up a 2 star character), or at least more options on shards.

Showdown coin situation needs fixed ASAP. One of the whole reasons for the new Icon characters that give additional showdown coins was to help players earn more points during contests, but that's not happening because the bonus coins don't count for points.
Additionally, when there are errors with offers, it doesn't level the playing field to take the offer down and then only allow players to buy the offer once, when other players could buy it more than that. One week, players are punished for taking advantage of something that's wrong. The next week, it's just allowed to happen. The inconsistency makes no sense.
