Moderators - I am starting to feel for you guys, because the developers arent making your life any easier with laziness. I know you ask for people to play the contest before reviewing but it's a carbon copy of previous so we all have an idea of what to expect from it so.......
Might as well get this one in early. It's another copy and paste job with a different poster. It's not been long since American Nightmare Cody was released and people are still looking to get him, so why add another one so soon? It's just pure laziness now. Prizewall looks garbage, certainly not worth the grind. CSS are rare to most people so can't feasibly compete the requirements.
Showdown event looks alright. No ridiculous requirements so thats a positive, most people should be able to grind as far as they can with the open/modern slots which is good, whether the rewards reflect the grind remains to be seen.
Tours are quite bad to be honest, as mentioned before CSS guys are pretty rare so that will frustrate people.
Poster art looks okay, character build itself I'm sure will be made to look OP when doing the challenge tour like in previous events.
Overall, this will be a welcome break from the Boss Battle we have recently had to endure, so participation will improve from all players I'm sure.
But even still, the developers are releasing too many new posters back to back. It's causing frustration within this gaming community, developers please slow down and focus on other aspects of the game before releasing new posters so relentlessly. Especially when they are just duplicates with a different class.
I get you treat it as a business and have to make money to invest back into the game, but we are seeing very little investment as bugs and various other things need addressing first which are being over looked for the release of new posters.
Slow down, reconnect with the players and stop flaunting new posters which aren't easily obtainable every week.

Current the best wrestler in wwe hope to get him sooner to add into my roster.

showdown is my favorite part in the game and I'm excited to get that cody but we want a once in a while showdown with no requirments in offense or defence

Maybe a decent Cody card will allow me to like his real life counterpart

Can you please release the blog post the same time as the person is reviewing in on Twitch. I don’t want to spend 15 minutes hearing someone over analyzing when I can skim in 5 and be good

What I like about this contest is how its done through showdown, it's an incredible gamemode. I like how difficult it gets once you get around the World Champion league, like You're not always guaranteed to win which makes it fun cause of the challenge. Milestones are decent too obtain if you have time for the game do maybe keeping that the same for the next one would continue to help. The tours for Cody has been easy, a bit of a challenge to fight him with the Bloodline characters as I am new and dont really have them in my roster but overall a challenge. Lastly, THE PREVIEW LOOKS INCREDIBLE. The renders/artwork for the superstars have been incredible as of late

This contest looks little better comparing to other events we had in this Month, because the requirements for showdown is in the 2nd slot... So most of them can equip their best SS in the 1st slot... Previous showdown had specific requirement and it was difficult to participate...
Cody looks great but the only issue is the tokens that can be obtained by the F2P players.... it takes years to unlock a S tier SS meanwhile the P2P players will unlock him easily....
Right now there are almost 500 SS and most of them are not even used as an entourage.... Also we are getting 5 SS every month, it makes very difficult to obtain even any one of the new released SS with these kind of events....

I like the new road to redemption tours as they don’t require a huge roster to attempt it. But I do wish the contest superstars were characters most players have rather than paid ones such as Brock lesnar return of the beast.

Positive: the event is awesome, really appreciate it . It's a chance for those who don't invest money in the game . They can easily buy stuff to upgrade by using medallions.
Tours were same as the old ones. Prize are okay . But not very good for non-spending players.
Negative: the tours are good but prizes isn't. The prize wall is trashy . No good stuff. The developers gave 3 star silver cody at 80000 MEDALLIONS! are they out of their mind . No way a non spending player can get cody. No good loots and it's really hard to get good superstars in the loots . They should lower the prize of cody and improve the prizewall.
I really love this game , really addicted to it but these factors like not getting good superstars is the only reason why this game is lacking behind. If they improve this , it will be really appreciated .

As a whole, the contest is solid. Love the plates on the prize wall, and the new Cody plate. My issue is that same characters are being released too close to one another. This is tech version of American Nightmare. It is taking away the joy of acquiring a poster. The same thing happened with tech and Ph Sami. By the time you get one, there is another already there to chase. New characters prevent this and there should be more. How does a new Cody, who hasn’t changed gimmicks since the last one, come out before a Solo Sikoa. That’s my beef, but all else seems great. Thanks!

It is really pointless to have the Icons of wrestlemania showdown coin boost superstars and the extra coins not count in the showdown showcase competition. It makes these superstars utterly useless. Yes I know they count for the showdown shop ( big whoopee, the showdown shop is not that great either as their is really nothing in there I care about).
This is essentially nearly 1k or more extra points per showdown match that players could get for having/using/leveling up these superstars.

There are no positives about this contest when people have an unfair leaderboard advantage by being able to purchase 3 x 40 loot coins for 20 a pack. Scopely then remove this offer and replace it with a 1 time limit to preserve fairness. This means again for the countless time in 2/3 months the leaderboards are unfair and scopelys resolution might keep people happy that don’t normally score high but if you do it’s a kick in the teeth.

I got pretty far in this contest by spending limited money $20 I had most the needed superstars to get extra rewards I don’t believe I’ll unlock the new Cody but watching the preview videos before you changed him I like the changes u made too the character showdown is my favorite mode and I don’t recall having many bugs or glitches this weekend unlike what happens with boss battle at times so overall an enjoyable contest and weekend thank you

Following on guys from actually completing the event as far as I could.
Positives
Open / Modern slots on showdown tournament was a good move as it wasnt too restrictive. Personally I would have preferred it the other way around so that the CSS (mine of which aren't good enough against 6s opponents) so that I could have used them in the open slot without risking being demolished. However, not the end of the world, showdown was still enjoyable.
Tours were okay, not too restrictive but I do think a more common SS should be brought in for bonus as Brock and Damian Priest are still quite difficult to achieve for some people. I mentioned in a previous event that maybe you do tiered bonus characters? For example - Brock/Priest earn max showdown energy and maybe a previous character released for Free (example Lex/Theory earn maybe half of the maximum bonus) just so this gives everyone a chance to at least earn some of the bonus CSS rewards.
Resources in the milestones were okay.
Negatives
Faction contest milestones seem very unobtainable with the points on offer. I know some faction have smashed the score, but a lot haven't even come close to milestone 3. 6 star upgrades should be 2000 and 2500 respectively not the 200 and 250 which are currently being shown. That's a lot of investment into 6 star with no guarantees that milestones can be achieved.
Portal issue.
Im not going to rant about this because it is what it is. It's frustrating but as players there's nothing we can do about it, but moving forward it's need be monitored better so that things like that don't happen.
Prize Wall
Prize Wall coins did seem to be quite difficult to achieve a decent amount, most people will only spend them on coins given the value they have earned so maybe look to increase the amount available to win. 80k for a 3 star cody just seemed like a teaser as it's wasn't realistically obtainable. If anyone did manage this then Congrats! Let me know how you did it?
Overall, not a bad event, ran smoothly without too many glitches. Opponent match ups weren't too unrealistic.
What I would like to see on all future events is a separate contest wall for the spend requirements rather than mix it in with the in game objectives.

Another event - another reskin. And now let's take a closer look at what actually was good and bad in this event. As usual, I will analyze in detail.
Roads:
A very strange decision to give 90% of the roads for a factional event. Actually, why then do such an event if 90% of the players will get it from the roads? Accordingly, there are few resources on the roads, but at the same time, a pretty decent amount of consumables for showdown. The selection of contest characters is also very strange. And so, in general, the roads passable, even the character was sold in order to pass the road.
Showdow:
t's a good decision to make a free attack as the first, as there are often very strange requirements, like the Attitude era in the past or the year before, I don't remember. In defense, again, first class, this is good. Problems inthere is still some work in showdown, for example, freezes, friezes during tricks, the disappearance of juggernaut gems and other gems. But technical problems have become much less common. But I would like to see a reconnect in this mode, as it happens that the game itself crashes and you are credited with a defeat.
Faction event:
It’s a very strange event, and its prizes, as if they didn’t want to give anything at all, but all the same, they need to give something, so they put a little bit of everything. The event for transferring 6-star characters even already to silver is a very strange decision, since in most medium-sized clans, God forbid, a person will have at least one 6-star character and I think that he will obviously be pumped. Therefore, fractional points were pushed in wherever needed and where not. And they are absolutely not needed there, just next time do an event for leveling the era as usual and that's it. I understand that you want everyone to have 6-star characters, but at the same time, you yourself do not give resources for their translation.
Please return to the roots. Leveling an era or calss and everyone will be happy - but this is my personal opinion.
Shop:
Well, in the store, of course, the most wonderful thing that happened was a mistake with prices, although in principle I think that this is how it should cost, but for some reason the developers decided otherwise. And so the wall of prizes for the event is as useless as possible. Do you seriously think that 100-200 shards is a good reward for a level 17 event? And this is almost all passed to the maximum. Maybe it’s still worth going down to a lower level where for passing the event with contest characters it will be possible to buy at least a plate? I'm not talking about any acceptable character.
Pools are a very strange thing this time, since I personally didn’t get anything out of 40, many got something new and good, it seems to me that the chance was slightly lowered when they saw their mistake, but I can’t confirm. And according to statistics, people who opened at night (for me, the event starts at 10 pm) received more than those who bought in the morning. And this is very unpleasant. But there is something good in the current pools as an idea - these are pools with shards that can be knocked out of the way and from the fractional event. It’s a good idea, though there is a lot of superfluous there, but as an idea it looks better than those coins that were given in huge quantities last time and, in principle, did not carry anything interesting in themselves (although, again, I repeat to many, very good things fell out that time).
Let's summarize:
I hope this idea with freepools will be developed and the walls of the prizes will begin to make more mundane things for the average player, it is very unpleasant to leave the event in which you closed all the roads on the required characters with the third of the new character. Although the site says that you will receive at least 1000 shards. Curious to know how you can actually get it?
I will probably give this event 5/10 (yes, I also decided to start grading like many here). For overloading standard roads with fractional points. The impossibility of knocking out a new character on a shard. Well, because I didn’t get anything out of 40 pools. Of course I'm joking). Although it was a good idea with free pools, so I will probably change the rating to 8/10. I hope the developers will hear me this time.

Nice poster! Can use an upgrade for my technician class liking the showdown event almost reached the max

I felt that the event overall was positive for me and most of the people in my faction. Not absolute perfection, but I've been really enjoying my time the past few days. I am a big fan of the new Cody poster. The changes make him much more immersive. The builds look very fun. Definitely someone who you'd be pumped to collect.
The tours felt pretty fair to me. There are plenty of basic and premium bags, and they weren't really locked to specific characters which is appreciated. The superstar contest bonuses on each match were just bonuses, rather than feeling like something mandatory to get an appropriate number of Cody shards.
Just a couple things I didn't love. The faction competition requiring 6 stars felt a bit divisive. There are many in my faction (rank 70-100 in all events) who still lack any. There was no option for these people to contribute to this part of the event, which of course upsets people who can and did contribute. I would rather events bring faction mates closer together. Also getting a bit tired of repetitive requirements (bloodline/sami/ko).
Obviously have to mention the Loot Coin bug. Difficult situation to deal with. Every single solution would have a drawback to one group or another. I got some pretty cool new cards out of it for what I deem a fair price, so this bug probably improved my enjoyment of the event unintentionally. The loot pool felt a little tech heavy but that was probably intentional with the many tech reqs this weekend. But the contest shard loot was great, would love to see this make a return.
The contest prize wall I'd like to see more variety of lower priced items added. Maybe a bunch of prop bags, keys, shard loot coins, old plates or basic bags. The event gave out a lot of Braun shards who isn't someone that interests me. No issues with Showdown it was set up perfect. Zero server issues, and I still much prefer the energy system. Feels like I'm earning a lot more showdown coins than I used to, and the streaks feel rewarding.

I hustled the most I ever have on one of these first time ranked under 2000 loved the option to pay 3m for a loot token do that more often

Biggest complaint - you want players to play the game but then you put the showdown energy behind paywall characters- normal & hard mode should be characters that were free . It’s hard enough for free to play or minimal spenders to compete with the spenders . As a free to play, I admit I get a lot more free than I use to just by signing on. It’s damn near impossible now however To chase a leaderboard or get anything half way decent from a prizewall without spending in current event or having spent in the past which allowed you to get the CSS. even the free cards that we have, we don’t have all the great things to enhance those cards that spenders do have. Example would be the 100% gem strap for this month - I’ve become quite frustrated with the format and even though I love this game at pretty close to hanging it up- have a smaller prizewall with old crap in it that the we can buy from during the event - put skill plates that are over a year old - every event all I can buy from the wall is coin, tp or take a chance on a strap which 80% of the time sucks and I sell anyways - I understand it’s a business, but try to look out a little bit for the little guy it’s getting quite frustrating

Feedback for Rhodes to Redemption Showdown
Positives
- New Cody Rhodes (not counting Stardust) is good timing considering we've only had 1 Cody and considering majority of the community wouldn't be closing to recruiting the new Cody other than doing pulls. It's great to have a 1600 shard recruit Cody and seeing as it's SD, I'm sure we will eventually recruit him in few months time (I hope).
- Will address the loot issue as a positive considering you did try to preserve "fairness" by giving everyone an opportunity to purchase this loot. However, there's obviously those who still believe it's not really preserving fairness when you just limit it to 1. More on the negative part of this in the Negatives section. For me this was great, although I didn't get Cody I am super happy pulling the ridiculously rare Streak Goldberg instead and I think I am content with this pull.
- Most of the tours and CSS requirements seemed fine except for Day 1 needing Tech Brock and Tech Priest. More on this in the -ve.
- SD was fine and starting to get used to this format. The plus side is not needing to wait to be over a certain notoriety before reset for those SD coins to kick in. This version is probably easier from a stress point of view and it's great to strategise how to utilise your energy so you're getting the most out of it's use.
- Prizewall feels like it's somewhere in the middle for me, not too great or bad, I'm sure it would be a different outcome had it not been for the pull loot issue otherwise it was ok.
- Faction aspect is fine, in terms of requirements to get your 1% done for your faction.
Negatives
- Ok so coming back to the pull loot fiasco, I mean why not leave it as is. I mean it's not always people get an actual discount by paying $20 for a Mega Pull. If the offers were left I would have definitely spent for it because I would be willing to spend for that price.
- Tech Brock and Priest were poor choices for CSS requirements. I mean you could have had either 1 of them as they're both quite premium characters with hardly many shards given out other than forking $$. What's worse is the SD energy is hidden behind these paywalled CSS.
My thoughts
This almost feels like Grant Camping all over again. The difference here is you atleast are giving people the option to spend I mean honestly you could have gotten a lot more if you left the 3x offer on portal and I'm sure that would have added more $$ to your pockets. My gut feel is there's obviously some marketing ploy behind this which I'm not going into too much details for now.
For me, this event which initially looked like a meh event turned out to be one where Scopely won over by making me shell out my wallet. Even though I didn't get Cody, I walked out of the event with Streak Goldberg and new Striker KO. So happy with that result.

Overall view on this event is it wasn't the worst experience compared to some events. The showdown format was good having open slot for first choice so I would like to see more of that in future events. I would class myself as a free to play player with the odd purchase when I see a decent offer, so the bonus characters required in the tours to get showdown energy was very restrictive to me as I don't have the CSS needed so maybe look at using more common posters in future. Prize wall was okay but needs more resources as all I was able to achieve were coins, should be nice to see more variety on rewards but with fair prize wall price tags.
The loot is what it is, I've seen many comments on an issue that took place so I'm going to gloss over that but needs addressing as keeping things fair is vital in this game to keep the gaming community invested.
Faction milestones seemed very difficult to achieve. I am in a top 50-100 faction yet I wasn't able to contribute as much as I would have liked due to not having a 6 star to build on, so going back to prize walls, tokens are a must moving forward. Not to mention he milestones seemed extremely far apart and the points system was matched up to it.
New Cody poster looks good and only 1600 shards is a good number to work with so maybe in time he may become a welcomed recruit.
Despite a couple of issues, the event itself was alright so no major complaints, but would like to see more resources available on future events to help free to play build their roster a bit more quickly.

This was a decent event.
I would like to say that it was enhanced by the initial error of offering 40 pulls for $19.99. This may be a smart strategy going forward as spenders seem to believe that this is a great deal most times when it happens. If every weekend or even one weekend a month, there was a one time 40 pull offer for $19.99, I think the spending community would eat that offer up in large numbers even if it was trapped behind a backstage pass.
The faction event is annoying as leveling up 6 star characters typically takes a huge amount of coin or tp and relies on the idea of a person having many low level 6 star superstars. The prizes for the faction event are nice despite only one faction being guaranteed the new skill plate.
The showdown competition was good. It was nice knowing that you were facing a technician that wouldn't be able to dodge in any fashion. I didn't run into any issues during the entire showdown competition.
The tours had decent requirements. I wish that the tour that contained the energy did not go live before showdown started. I typically like to knock out my tours immediately using the CSS. I didn't notice that energy was in the first milestone of each level until I had already won the first match on hard mode. Although the energy was available to me at the start of showdown, I was forced to rush through my first few showdown matches in order to get the clock running again on regeneration.
The prizewall was good enough to force me into some tough decisions on how I wanted to use my medallions and it is nice to have hard options to examine the pros and cons of each.
The shard loot was great. I think we need more incorporation of that.
The contest loot was great to many.

My Pros and Cons for this event.
Pros:
- contest ran smooth for me with no bugs or anything like that.
- i thought the css for the tours and showdown was fair.
- good prize wall and like the token shard deal that was included although I was aiming for Sami shards but still good concept.
- Solo milestones was good for the most part to.
Cons:
- For the faction contest it really hurts lower roster people to participate other then tours with you only getting the majority of points from leveling a 6s. I think maybe only 30-40 factions was able to max it. Should go back to adding a era or class to get points.
- i feel the older plates should be a little lower on the prize wall but that’s just my opinion
- So the whole mess up on the portal for the 40 tokens for $20 deal was nice for those who don’t spend and all and glad it was still made available to those who didn’t get it right away. But those that did catch it real fast was able to buy it 3x and a lot that bought it 3x was able to get it a 4th time when it was put back up. I thought it should have been put back up the same way it was if it was going to be fair. So should have been able to get 3x like a lot of others that was able to who caught it quick.
overall I thought it was a great event and good job on the artwork and stuff for Cody it looks great. Hopefully I’ll be able to recruit him eventually since I don’t have any Cody on the roster.

All good with the showdown fairly matched and not too unrealistic and achievable milestones for people and smooth gameplay but as for the contest prizewall it is very unfair as a normal average player will not even stand a chance to get good rewards from the wall and always settling for coins as the prize coins required for the higher rewards are just too high and unable to be obtained by average player which gives the better plays an extra advantage on the lower roster players and it creates imbalance making it hard for them to play and achieve. Besides the cost for rewards and the favouring towards the higher up players I would say its an overall good showdown.
0 -
Adding on as one of the average players I talk from experience when I say there needs to be more done for us lower players to stand a chance against higher people and allow us to catch up rather than these events just allowing the higher players to increase the gap between the lower players and higher players
0 -
The contest could have given more shards out in the bags if the goal is to make it attainable for all to get this Cody Rhodes. Many of the newer players could have benefited from a good card and even veteran players like myself would have enjoyed the grind or chasing in tours for a better pay out. Overall the event was more or less business as usual. Great job on the graphics for the card and detail to the Re-skin.
0 -
As usual, the showdown contests are fairly solid. I applaud you for making changes to Cody given the lukewarm initial response. The showdown requirements were really amazing. I only missed out on 3 of them.
As for the tours, there was a healthy amount of Cody shards available, which is always nice considering the odds of actually pulling him.
For the offers, straight up offering Conspiracy Sami was a delight. It's always nice when we can just straight up buy a decent poster.
