Game Dissatisfaction - Resources, Feuds, and Spending

Im not sure if this is a general discussion or a suggestion, so i'll post it here. I think I speak for a lot of the community when I say that there area lot of issues and general feelings of Dissatisfaction.
I want to say that i love this game and have continued hoping things will get better. The game is great, which is why we all keep playing. But lately it hasn't felt like as much fun. Here are a few of the issues expressed by myself and other champions in recent weeks.
1)The game is getting stale in my opinion. SD are boring, and more and more of them each month isn't helping. Not all game modes need to go against other players. A new kind of solo contests, maybe 3 on 3 matches, battle royals, hard-core matches, list goes on. The same SD match against a 5star gold King Booker 40 times is mind-numbing. New match styles and tours needed.
2) Feuds are too long. You need to revamp the time commitment. 24 hours two times a month over the weekends is just too much. And restore good rewards. If we are expected to play for so long, rewards worthy of all that wasted time 2x a month is necessary. A chest of shards for card most of is have is not cutting it. The prizewall is good, but just make the selections unlimited. If I get 100,000 prozewall coins, let me spend them for all I can get.
3) I like the boss battles, but like feud and SD, you need 1 of maybe 5 guys that dominate. Otherwise it's a bust. It has too many glitches, too many connection problems. The boss breakers are almost worthless.
4) the month long contests have slowly and steadily been made to spend or else you cannot max. I've almost missed the last two months and barely maxed. Maxing all coin and tp contests, maxing all faction events and solo events (without spending) should at least get you the final solo milestone or the 3000 shards, but neither is a let down. You played all month and used all your resources for what? And this month the cost for coin events and tp events have gone up, and the rewards haven't followed suit. That's not cool. Even this out, please.
5) revamping the trivia was fine, we understand that it needed to be done in some way. Limiting how many you could buy to 2 a day was excessive and turned so many of us off. And then you also upped the cost of rewards excessively high. I think we all could've lived with one or the other. Both was overkill.
6) please get rid of the dodges for acrobats and tricksters. They're no fun, annoying, and always go off for the AI wayyyyy more than for us. The idea might have been good on paper, yet we told you years ago we didn't like it and you've kept it. It's outlived it's usefulness.
7) Maybe my biggest pet peeve is you've given us odds for each pull level tier (which is great), but then randomly assign people to those tiers. I've hit the Very rare so many times (less than 5%) only to walk away with some 4sg player that's been a free card for years. Some cards are very rare and you should define who goes in what category and stick to it. A 4sg Bobby Roode hasn't been a rare card in years. People would spend more if they knew which cards were which and you stopped placing outdated cards in the wrong categories. This issue is the main reason I've lowered my spending.
8) Shards in pulls should be limited to common and uncommon. Anything above isnt necessary. Like above, if I hit the feature to walk away with 100 shards, that's not cool.
I've said this to my faction, in parts over the last few weeks as mine and others Dissatisfaction has continued. Here is what I said earlier today. I hope y’all listen and try to make the game better.
"Anyways, I'm rambling. But no one would blame you or any of us from walking away. We owe them nothing and they've continually taken."
If this feeling above continues, many more, myself included, will leave for good.
Thanks for reading.

I have to agree that the game is becoming stale. It is the same thing every month with little variation. Some of the rewards that are given out are obsolete, like 1 star tokens, and then very little of the other rewards are given out to be able to boost your roster. Different events every month may bring back the fun of the game instead of it being the same grind day in and day out.

I completely agree with everything stated here. Especially with the inability to get the chaser without significant spending! I went all out last month, maxed everything I could and spent over $60 and was nowhere near getting maxing the solo event. It pissed me off so much that I voluntarily lowered myself out of a top faction to take a break from the game. I am not spending or trying this month, and I may not again. If you want my time and my money, you need to make it worth it to me, and it currently is not.

Very much true and Very generious points you have been raised.
In love SD when it was every fornight but since these are every week I only do sd for faction points. because your personal dislikes can not let suffer other faction mates.
about Feud I am little concern about 4 flash feud and their timings you generally either sacrificing your sleep or 1 or 2 feud out of 4 of them. when it use to 3 only was far better. even I say instead Flash feud keep it like 1 Fornight for full Women feud and other is for full Men Feuds.
100% agree on That MLC contest points. when we has chase Guys in final Milestone of Solo MLc contest it was like fun people were more engage i game as chase become more chasable even if you are in some lower factions but now its general perception untill unlessyou not buying Backstage passes and some other stuff you can not chase.
Thing I add to this is KICK OFF TOUR i was more happy when they introdude in game, player can not afforde 3s fuse of free mlc guy still can score better when it was about 1000 points per Boss Win. but Scopely has ruined it.
If I conclude my All dissatifaction in few words I only say "This game has become a Job instead of fun."
Scopely and Game Devs really need to find a way that make game so interesting again. I understand Scopely here for money so make is a win win situation for all.

I couldnt agree more with the previous comments the game has gotten out of hand with several lack of ideas causing the game to become stale the loot pulls are ridiculous and sd every week puts a sour taste in all of us the whole game needs to be revamped alot of of us are tired of spending and getting garbage time to make a stand and stop spending until the developers do something about all the complaints this game is not set up for f2p players and makes it impossible for them to get anywhere without sending and this garbage needs to stop

I agree with the feud comment in particular. The length of time required to hit a fairly average reward at the end of it is pretty demoralising. Mixing up the shards that come from the chests too, they need a revamp as there is only so many velveteen shards that one can get. (I used to look forward to this chest, but now it's just a click and accept a poor outcome)

I'm so glad that this came out....many players are just quitting the game because it has become the apotheosis of repetitiveness....but at least somehow it was still entertaining....but now there are a few questions that need an answer:
1st Topic: Overloading the game with grind events during the week
Question n.1: Who told you to replace tours with idiotic showdown tournaments?
Question n.2: Who is the idiot that complained about having few things to do gamewise during the week? Tell him to get a job!
Question n.3: Noone in the right state of mind would ask you for 6 consecutive days of showdown, so why???
2nd Topic: In-game offers
Question n.1: Who told you to remove faction mlc points from the backstage pass? It basically lost 50% of its appeal
Question n.2: Why are the 300 cash offers gone? Why?????
3rd Topic: Revamping
Question n.1: some game-structures are ok , so why don't you just revamp 'em a bit? Time-wise, reward-wise, also game-wise, adding some old features, e.g. 5 vs 5 for feuds....they were chaotic, but also way funnier than the current and repetitive 2 vs 2
The list goes on, from key pulls to pointless events like cash events and loot coin events, but hey, sellers gotta sell...

Completely agree on what Brofessor_G wrote, I my self have lowered my spending ALOT, I’m tired of getting outdated wrestlers and I have Over 40 wrestlers that has more than 30k and they useless, yet I keep getting them, they cannot even be used as trainers because they so outdated. And as he wrote if my feeling towards game keep declining Im gonna quit the game.

I agree, there are changes that need to be made to keep the game fresh. Right now everything has turned into a grind/time suck for very little in return. One very recent example is today's SD event. Even having every CSS you can earn 1.365% of the MLC points (that is having every CSS and getting each SD coin). That doesn't motivate me at all to spend my free time outside of work and family on a Tuesday to spend the hour to two hours to play Showdown. Not to mention that this is happening for four days in a row just demotivates me to even play at all.
The other part I agree with the most is the feud timing. With the length of each feud and flash feuds taking up entire weekends this event just feels like a job rather than fun. I can't tell you how many times I just do the same thing over and over and over again in feud without really thinking. It doesn't require any skill, game knowledge, or thought. The most fun i have is setting up my lineup, not actually playing feud because everything has turned into turn one or bust. The rewards do not match the required game play either. For each player it takes a different amount of time to get to the 40 million warscore mark and I feel like even if it takes you 4 hours of feud game play (which is very fast) the rewards don't match that kind of time commitment. This is because to get to 40 million warscore in 4 hours you need to have your IOW feud promotors up to 5sg, have a warscore boost (spent money) and have some top superstars to be able to move fast through your opponents. The planning of resources into your IOW superstars and spending money for the steps doesn't pay back anything worth while in my eyes anymore. If you take out those advantages, which a majority of the player base doesn't have, then you are looking at an 8 hour grind to reach the 40 million warscore (and that is being very generous. I would think it would be closer to 10-12 hours of grinding the same thing to get there). That kind of time spent on the weekend twice a month is brutal.

Don’t mess up on feud day, though it’s improving since I started playing.
You are giving gifts now and you are starting to listen to all the players. but if you give an reward make it something nice, and special

Couldn’t have said it better! Dumping all your resources to not max the mlc or get the chase is probably my biggest complaint. Like, if we’re going to use coin and TP to bring up a next-to worthless character for the css, then let us get the solo points in hell mode. They’ve made it so exclusive to get solo points on hell mode mlc tours. I think I’ve had maybe 3 css for hell mode since they started doing that. Thanks for speaking on our behalf Brofessor_G

I agree… people work hard to complete the month long… And to come up short because they didn’t spend money is just a legal way of cheating on your part…
SD is the same way… so you use all the characters except 1 most like the chase… complete the tours… you barely get to milestone 10 of 12…. It progressively gotten worst….
you put up a prize walls with all sorts of stuff and have 10/12 items that are so far out of reach from completing milestones is pure garbage…
new events and a fair playing field is not much to ask for those grinding this games contests…

To add to this I just want to mention the loot pulls. Commons should be common, rare should be rare, etc. If I do 100 pulls, there's almost no reason that I should be getting the same common pulls every time and certain pulls that are listed as "common" never. The odds of pulls should be completely transparent.
1 -
There's a few things I'd add to the list. I'll try to include suggestions as well so I'm not just complaining.
- Health Packs. This concept has spiraled out of control. A 5SG might need upwards of 500 health packs to fully heal. There is no way to grind health packs currently. The faction store is all but useless as it offers 5x or 10x at a time. The initial idea of getting a health pack on a set timer is also orders of magnitude too small. In a game with such prevalent connection issues, potentially draining all your health at no fault of the player, this needs fixed. Having such an obtuse health system also actively discourages the player from attempting hard matches, instead relying on "safe" matches that minimize health pack cost. My suggestion: Remove health packs all together. Make health instantly regenerate after a match in all modes except blitz (and maybe within a feud matchup). Keep injuries in the game, and make a full heal token that works based on League Level.
- SD, Faction, Stipulation, etc Stores: These are just frustrating RNG. I've earned the currency, why not let me decide how to spend it? Day after day of getting 2x shards for a character you're trying to unlock is ridiculous. Offering 5x TP or 500x TP entirely based on luck is ridiculous. It's not adding anything to the game strategy. It's just being annoying. My suggestion: Standardize the store options. Make more refreshes (maybe every 6 hours). Increase the star fragments (maybe 100x per class per refresh).
- Penalties for character customization: The whole idea of the game is to be able to customize a specific wrestler for a specific purpose. Yet it takes coins to switch trainers around. Strap parts to remove a strap. Medal bits to swap out medals. Skill plate components to change a skill plate. Why is every small change costing some type of currency? Once again, this adds no strategic component and is just being petty by charging players for basic game functions. My suggestion: Remove all costs associated with moving character components. If this is deemed to cut into Scopely profits too much, make a sandbox mode to experiment with different builds for free.
- "Godfather-ing" characters: I call it this because Godfather was the first one to really take this concept out of control. Now it seems that to unlock a character's full potential, there's way too many steps. Unlock character. Unlock the proper trainers. Unlock the special gear. Unlock the special strap. Unlock the special skill plate. Unlock the special medals. And all of this in addition to the massive amount of coin and TP to max out a 5sg wrestler. This wouldn't be so bad, except every one of these steps has turned into a paywall and not a play-wall. Every special skill plate or gear is basically just "spend $500+ on the weekend contest." My suggestion: Make some sort of persistent currency for this stuff? I'd rather get one good skill plate by saving up for a month instead of having to get mediocre rewards weekend after weekend because the free prize wall currency expires at the end of the contest.
- Stale Perks: Perks have no strategy except "buy them all." This means that SD is the same two or three low MP 5sg wrestlers that everyone uses. Feud is the same 6 or 8 MP characters that are ready turn one. Tag links are all but useless except for a handful, as they aren't used in feud and generally not applicable in SD outside of a few cases where the previously mentioned small group of SD wrestlers have them. Why not a little customization with perks? My suggestion: Maybe trade off an extra +MP for -25% move damage? Or create +3 gems but lower kickout damage? Every positive perk requires a negative aspect to balance it. Some of those higher MP characters might actually have a little more mileage. It would be nice to mix up feud and SD a little so that players can test out unique strategies. You know, like an RPG? What the game claims to be?
Note: these are all game elements. I could go on and on about deceptive loot practices, bugs and glitches, connection and lag problems, etc. But I'd like to actually give ideas that are more abstract and less "just fix it."

it's a sad fact that all of this is true beyond any level of comparison.
Between the medicore, and often impossible, milestones that require money to be spent within limited time tours for points to advance your rank within only a couple days as they're set.
The oversaturation of new wrestlers, or variations of, every month. We're getting redesigns of wrestlers for what? Just a different class?
The criminal imbalance of SD and old wrestlers compared newer ones released.
With the wrestlers, the fact that new ones get placed in limited tours and you have to use an old wrestler that has to do double the work for using a move. Most newer wrestlers only need 4 to fire a move and always have a 3* trainer that gives them that boost. While you are required to use an older wrestler that'll need 9 to 12 to get the bonus on each node. Attatching coaches and trainers are not enough to compete. Especially if the opponents in tag matches have the same trainers. They should be treated like actual players rosters. Only one use per wrestler per node. And even as trainers, the reduced gem/move damage does nothing in comparison to the damage caused by either regardless of level.
SD events are terrible when trying to earn noteriety points to move up in league. Constantly I'm in matches only to come out of them to find that I've lost noteriety. Too many times I go into a match, come out earning 15 to 17, only to find that while in that match, I've lost anywhere from 30 to 100 in 3 or 4 defenses. And often times, they're to the same person twice in a row. This is painful for someone like me when the opponent has an OP wrestler to use. Career SD use to have a prompt that if you selected an opponent that was already in a match, you couldn't select them. This needs to be balanced out. And even though in the rules it says "more stars, more noteriety", then why am I only getting 18 to 22 points, which would mean my opponent lost 18 to 22, only to see that I've lost 30 to 34 in a defense. And these are all 4*.
What about the empty stars? Star fragments for filling you can only get 10, some times 100, once a day in the SD shop. And of course the class is different each day. With every evolve there's always empty stars that is now even the most difficult to get. For a short time there were Gauntlet Blitz for star fragments. We should at least have one other medium to earm fragments. Especially since there's 5 classes and again, with each evolve it costs more and more as the stars stay empty. Why not also add star fragments in milestones? Or in the faction shop and stipulation shop.
Disconnection issues will constantly be a problem. Seeing that wi-fi symbol pop up when about to hit a move or make a match. And then won't continue weather you're on wi-fi or not. Sometimes it happens even while using data and no wi-fi. Same goes with the asset bundles. Why do they happen randomly even on the same match or tour?
And, finally, our inventory. Why do we still have to hold on to old currency and items that are not used for anything beyond the old events from years ago? I still have ingots from tours 5 years ago. Loot tokens that were the old currency before these new tokens. Shard toekns, turnbuckles, stairs, event currency that repeats because of different years, etc. We don't need these taking up space. We should have the ability to trade all of that in for use in the game. Coins or TP or shards. Hell, even loot coins to use in limited event loot or even a new wrestler at 3* or the newest talent?
So much of the fun is gone from the game and more of a chore. The room to grow your roster is limited to only the new wrestlers and none of the older ones that become requirements.

There are soooooo many ongoing and old threads about this or similar topics which are being constantly discussed within my faction family but the result won't ever change, that's for sure. Scopely will do as they want and the top 1 priority is making money and changing the game to do so with a minimum of coding investments.
The last year really shows in which direction the game's going to be processed:
- put out 5 + characters each month so players get triggered to invest money for loots, resources and event's progression
- 1 step forward, 2 backwards - ie boss battle mode which I really dig but is currently still in beta to my opinion as it is full of lags, errors, freezes and galore loading times. That, unfortunately, applies to all other modes. The time wasted due to loading screen / red circle of death, freezes, force quits etc. is atm absolutely ridiculous considering the amount of money the company is making... there is absolute no appropriate re-invest showing up.
- yaaaaawn - game's getting exploited by the same boring modes for ages. About SD I don't want to say a thing as it is an obvious lazy move by big S. I only started to do some matches last night as I was really "burnt out" of the game recently. It's just not funny anymore (playing since... 2017 with some breaks so my roster as a minimum spender is quite ok-ish)
- OPness - I get it, totally. New characters have somehow to outmatch older ones. Ie an SB Fiend does not have the same impact like he had maybe 2 years ago and gets easily sidelined nowadays. But what was released within the last 6 months just makes my head shake in disbelief; here comes my favorite experience from last women's feud: feuded against 3g trickster Becky with my 5g IoW Charlotte... thought, cool, piece of cake, bust her ass and proceed to next opponent's superstar... haha, I was soo naive and wrong. That bitch really knocked me out of the park. A THREE STAR GOLD who was not even max leveled. That was the moment I lost my drive on the game. Until recently players could somehow compensate the strength of new characters (by using the right trainers, medals, props, gears and - what I despise to touch - perks) but since beginning of 2022 that changed dramatically... and, of course, not for the better. (cudos to everyone who was lucky enough to pull these behemoths)
So... I will wait what this summer will bring up on the game but as of now I might drop it for good... not imagining what might happen when Big S dev team meets up with Blizzard's lol

Like others, I agree the game has become stale. Continually raising requirements for TP/Coins without adjusting rewards makes for a hard pill to swallow.
The loot box rewards after a match need to be revamped. Days of getting 200 coins or 1 TP do not cut it any more.
2 -
Additionally, when speaking of an “economy“ within the game, consider amping up not only rewards, but also all the shops etc.
Ie, showdown shop hadn't been given a real update since years (not mentioning the IoW characters from 2021).
