SPRING OUTBREAK 2022

Terrible odds for loot pull. It could have been made better for featured than 0.92%. Then you wonder why people will spend less in this loot. You have loot in here that is no longer viable to play with in- game but to use as trainer/coach. ZLashley gear is awful 100% more yellow gem damage, I think it should be 200%. ZRhea gear should also be 200% for Botch gem damage.

Anyone else not get the css rewards for the slaugh on hell mode? I sent a ticket to support so hopefully I get those points

Honestly I usually love zombie events, but coming out with this one in a week where people are raging mad about the web coins fiasco seems like an unnecessary provocation.

The notoriety points have been broken for a while and nothing has been done to change it:

1. Somehow you lose twice the amount of points that you gain even with leveled promoters (let's acknowledge that the oponents promoter shouldn't affect the lost notoriety);
2. In certains leagues its notorious that the notoritey gained diminishes to slow your progress down.

Less than 1% odd of hitting the Featured tier and having almost half the characters some that have been given for free in the last half a year is not a good look.

I don't get why all gears give extra damage, but the one for Drew only gives 2 MP. I get that he is a free mlc character, but it's not like your giving his gear away, it still costs money and it doesn't add much to him as viable character in the new meta. Why don't you start showing all your characters the same amount of love?

And last it's nice that you give out characters for free so new people can get ahead in the events, but was it so hard to give out zombie Drew as well since he was a free character and also required in the event? It was even an incentive for people to buy his gear in the store.

I really need to thank you @ scopely for helping me get rid of my gambling problem. Never though it was this easy. So cudos to you for another wonderfull event of not spending money and making it easier to do other things then grinding all day for shit rewards. Great work 😂

I don't see them making money though, do you? Nobody is dumb enough to spend over $3,000 for that.

Damn, people are angry. I'm going to get "The skull King"s gear, so I'm okay with the event.

Disappointed.

Just disappointed and that's all. No chance to obtain zplate.

No chance to obtain edge's gear.

No chance to obtain some new powerfully zombie only old shit.

But a great opportunity to swank showdowns untill the game makes you hate those gems, scopely and all the things connected.

This zombie week long event is crap. I like many others love Zombies, but running 2 events at same time (blitz and SD), not to mention the BS notoriety where you lose 50-100 pts per loss yet only earn 16 unless you beat high notoriety teams, even then you hardly earn more than you lose. It's crap. No wonder ppl are spending less. You also took away the one thing that kept most of in the game, trivia. I can see changes, but you could have limited the energy per day OR raised the prices. Both have killed it. Ppl would have still done it had you done one or the other, NOT both.

I liked the week long showdown but the milestones appear to be unobtainable even for the very top factions. Also running a showdown and a blitz at the same time was a terrible idea especially when you you have a limited amount of matches that get reset every day for showdown

I know scopley needs to make money but what you guys did with limiting the energy for trivia then making the web coin market so expensive is terrible. Not sure why you had to do both and punish the players.

Oh, you have no idea how much I wanted to hate this event. Spring Outbreak 2021 was in my top 3 least favorite events of 2021, and the blog post lit a fire under me thinking it was going to be more of the same. But now that the dust has (mostly, doesn't seem like we're doing jack this weekend with Spring Outbreak) cleared, I can't actually say it was all that bad.

• For one, I think the big saving grace for the event was the medallions were easy to get and you could actually buy stuff you cared about with them. Whether it was shards, older gear, or straps, I did actually find there was enough stuff here to get something you actually wanted, and enough medallions to get it, barring the 'top shelf' stuff. zHHH's gear in particular was priced 'suspiciously cheap', as I thought at the time, and the shard amounts were actually significant enough for me to unlock zRoman and zRock, so I'm already doing way better than 2021's event. I'm gonna be pretty negative going forward, but this prize wall alone was enough to make me think this was a halfway decent event.
• Speaking of negative, most of the rewards in the main path were pretty dire outside of medallions - the paid portion of the event rewarded ten times as many rewards as the free portion, and the free coin/TP output was super low for a weekend event, let alone a week-long event. And the free portion requires you basically got the entire 2022 zombie roster (barring Hogan, thank god) and a handful of others at 5SB at minimum (or props/other resources to make up for it - I did a few of these at 4SG or lower) to clear everything in the tours, which gave out a majority of tokens. At that point, it's not really 'free' if you likely had to pump money into getting a great zombie roster, and even with my roster I had to put money down to get to the end of the 'free' milestones. I guess there's the zHogan shards as well (and more than anticipated, I got around 1,000), but did anyone unlock zHogan this way?
• Tours I was mixed on, but I'm still biased as I had basically every 2022 zombie to work with on the tours, which mean that I could not only play all the tours but get through most of them. That being said, these were about as rough as I was expecting - 5SSs and 5SGs, and the freebie choices are people you don't want to be using even at 4 stars, let alone 5 stars. Hell, even with the day 2 24-hour tour, I felt that neither zAuska nor zBanks were really good enough options to handle the fight in question unless you had them at or over the opponent talent.
• A mid-week showdown that went for like 4 days that also wanted you to do 250 zombie wins each day was way too much. Day 1 was exhausting because you were in a notoriety standstill like the bad old days of the ~2019 showdowns, but things got better after that. Still, I find myself at around 500k showdown tokens at the other side of it, and honestly out of things to buy now that I have the entire IOW set. I know that's not a bad problem to have, but I do feel that it wouldn't hurt to add some new gears in, or something else to work towards once you finished the IOW set.
• My god, both loots were miserable - I said it last year and I'll say it again, you forget how many awful zombies are in the game until you see them one after another. I really don't know why anyone keeps pulling on these because you don't even get enough shards to get anywhere meaningful with the zombies you don't have. I may be a bit salty about this, because I did see some people in my faction hit it big.
