Im sure something similar would of been posted somewhere on here but these are my thoughts.
Last months flash market was the first time in a long time that im sure the entire player base felt some love and appreciation from scopely, not just the whales. And now Scopely have put not 1 but 2 drastically draconic changes too the market so essentially now no one can afford anything if starting out with minimal energy.
The weekend competitions are getting tougher to complete without spending excessive amounts and everytime we do get a competition (mostly faction ones) where everyone can complete it, the next month the points are lowered and the score required is higher. It was nice to have something for everyone that gave even people just starting out a chance to catch up to 5 Star characters.
I understand a balance was required but the way you have gone about it is terrible.
Here are my suggestions:
-Unlimited energy packs for purchase like before
-SMALL increase on prices like maybe x2 not x10.
-The major change would be increasing the cost of rerolls and limiting the amount of them per day. So 5 regular rerolls and 1 mega reroll a day but also increased prices, so 300 WC for regular and 2000 WC for mega. This still limits the amount one person can purchase during the flash market so it doesnt crash the 'economy', costs more WC so people are still encouraged to do more trivia or buy webcoins but also gives everyone a chance to get resources and characters with time rather then money which again benefits you guys because it keeps the player base up.

I'm an easy mark for z mankind, but seeing the web coin market, has given me pause about me shelling out for a few mega rolls in this zombie event. Personally, overall I'll be voting with my wallet and kneecapping my spending for the remainder of this mlc...like you kneecapped the flash market. Yes, I needed to have a dig at scopely.
Edit: I'll add that I agree with all sentiments about having a middle ground for the market. And I'll put it out there now, no kudos given if (big if) you decide to compromise, this was the most nuclear option done to the market, everyone can see that. Any potential levity given would look like a huge win, but from that end of the spectrum anything looks good. So only half credit given if (big if, again) the market improves later. Alrighty, my spiel is done.

I wouldn't expect to see any changes made this month. Based on how they've done the rollouts it looks like they need to take it down to do any major changes. In all honesty I don't expect to see any changes soon. The reality is that quite a few went nuts on the farming and it would skew any analytics done on the economy for it. Not to say I don't personally agree that it was too much of an adjustment but I can see from both sides.

I'm not pleased at all. IF you're going to have those off the wall prices-then unlimited energy is needed. Or at least make the recharge energy an hour.
I believe this will cause a big drop in players. And the market will die off. IF you wanted to drive players to other games. Congrats-to a good start. Other games already give us a big bang for our bucks and time invested. So prepare for the decline and fall of Rome.

I think the better solution would have been to completely take down flash market and let the dust settle, the way it was released now was a slap in the face for the user base and it obviously received major backlash. To leave it as is, I fear this forum or any forum will continue to get hammered and ruin the game reputation (what's left of it) and put mods like you in a very tricky situation. At the end of the day, I don’t think scopely cares much as long whales are paying but sooner or later features like this will reduce the user base, if it hasn’t already.

Ignore the cost needed to buy the 2 energies per day , ignore the energy regeneration bug of the portal , consider the ideal case of 5 energies per day for duration of 14 days . So we have 70 energies = 7K webcoins. Are you guys going to provide the remaining 18K as gift/reward in order to max the event ?

No one has said that he cannot do whatever he wants with his game, it has simply been said that he does not listen to the base of his players who are the ones who spend money on his game...if you are okay with I congratulate you on the change that was made, but do not come to criticize those who are not happy with those same changes.

Just adding my two cents in here. The web coin market is dead. Ruby market is effectively 2-2.5x better than the web coin market prices nowadays, and the Ruby market has been shot and killed long ago after it's very first month.
The fact you limited energy was one end of the spectrum. As I've stated plenty of times, as much of the backlash that you had already received, you would have had drastically less if you left the prices of the web coin market the same. The amount a player could grind out each week is 5 wins per day, 7 days a week, cost of 420 coins for the daily energy, which amounts to 3,080. Round it to 3k to make it simple. In your old market, 3k a week was 40m coins or a few thousand TP. That's a viable enough amount of resources to not only drive traffic to your website where players (myself included) will purchase other items because we're already on there! But at the same time to not completely diminish the sense of "balancing the game economy".
Outside of this, and on the other end of the spectrum! Lets say you REALLY wanted to adjust those prices of the web coin market? That would have been totally fine I think. I don't think a single player in the current game would have had a single issue had you changed the prices of those items WITHOUT adjusting the amount of energy that players can obtain.
You screwed it on BOTH ends of the spectrum here... You ruined energy. You ruined the market prices. And you've effectively ruined visiting the portal as a whole outside of clicking on the free rewards section. There's no point to do trivia anymore. The value, no matter how much you want to try and pander to us that "it's there" just flat out IS NOT there... It doesn't exist anymore even in the remote slightest amount. It's not worth that much time, effort, and investment to doing a few trivia battles each and every single day, waiting for the perfect time that my 3 energy based on a new 8 hour system PERFECTLY ALIGNS with when I want to play my trivia game out... SEVEN DAYS A WEEK.... For.....? What exactly now..? Maybe 2 million coins? Maybe 300 TP? This is a joke. And we can all see it.
FINALLY!!! AND THE MOST IMPORTANT WHICH I'VE BROUGHT UP TO THE COMMUNITY MANAGER HIMSELF, AND HE'S FLATOUT IGNORED MY POINT MORE THAN MULTIPLE TIMES ALREADY!!! Not a shock seeing how unprofessional I can see he's been lately to other faction representatives and ambassadors.
This "milestone" in the web coin market has not only increased from 15k to 25k in order to max the milestones of the market out, but it's effectively impossible to farm that amount of web coins out with the new energy system in place! You effectively need to farm out for 2 months continually WITH NO MISTAKES OR ERRORS in order to max out a single months web coin market milestones... Otherwise you need to spend $400+ to max it out... Aren't web coins supposed to be free? Grindable? What exactly is the point of having TWO separate PAID forms of currency for the web portal? That's pretty counter-productive. Especially if you're trying to gain positive traction with the player base, let alone earn their money...
All in all,
You should know these decisions were horrible. There's plenty of other ways around it to fix it. This wasn't the way. This WAS the way to piss an entire community of players off. From smallest of the small to the biggest of the big, and everyone in between. You have unanimously got everyone in the community on board with saying "SCREW YOU SCOPELY" because of the beyond horrible decisions you've made, how you handle this, and how unprofessional this entire experience has been.

Unfortunately us agreeing has no impact on if changes will be made or not, we are not devs or Scopely employees, just players moderating thus have zero input on game development. At this point you can always wait it out and hope that the many many players that build up mountains of webcoins spend them so that their balance check of analytics on the next market gives chance for lower prices.

OK so what about the energy scopely offers to us 5energy in a day if that continues there's no way we can buy anything worth even if scopely reduces the prices

The likely response would be well you can always spend money and get web coins as a bonus on the portal and they increased the web coins per dollar you get.

Already done. This game is getting boring anyways with copy and paste and spend events. Just coasting now and not playing to spend anymore since the webcoin store nerf. Blitz and showdown in the same week is making this game feel like a job so I'm going to take a break

That is the decision they made about it indeed. They let you get up to 5 energy per day maximum.

So I’ve been playing this game for almost 4 years now. Every month the last year and a half it seems like the players lose a little more , now we’ve lost the 5 and 15 dollar milestone for spending on the portal. A lot of us don’t have $20 a day to spend. So many of us used those first two milestones to better or roster which is becoming harder and harder by the day I don’t understand why us players in the community continue to get the crap end of the stick. Not only did those two items getting taken away from us EVERYTHING IN THE FLASH MARKET has gone up about 125% yea you see that correctly. A bag of 100 TP which was 100 web coins since the start are now 240 , shards for useless superstars are a few hundred web coins for 15 shards. You guys pile on the useless shards with the monthly keys now it’s 2.5 xs the amount of web coins needed to get even more useless shards. It just blows my mind how the most loyal gaming community around gets it stuck to us like we have the last 18 months. Also this month the chase character Dom Mysterio isn’t up to par with what a chase card usually is. Nope now we have to spend pretty much a mortgage payment over 4 weekends in the month to try and get the “weekend release characters” to make the chase card that we bust our asses for every month so the chase is actually a decent card. So many of us are tired of being treated like this. My wallet is closed. 95% of us don’t get the superstars as it is on weekend release events. Now we are expected to spend spend spend even more so we have coaches and trainers for the monthly chase characters. I just don’t get it. I own a business and I would never treat my customers the way our community is treated. I know my wallet doesn’t matter cause there will be new players who don’t understand they have pretty much zero chance of getting anything new or getting it while it’s relevant. I really hope this stuff stops but I’ve been around to long to know it’s gonna continue getting worse. Sincerely a loyal player from your loyal community

I'll make a prediction here.
- With the number of folks who enjoyed the Trivia last month a lot more than others, their web coin bankroll is probably huge
- Since Scopely can't necessary take away Web Coins, I'm guessing they bumped up prices this month, along with the web coin milestones in order for folks with tons of saved up web coins to spend spend spend this month to hit the milestones.
- Once web coin savings are decreased across the board, then Scopely will do a "We heard your feedback! We will drop the amounts on web coin prizes going forward"
At that point, folks will be back on a level playing field and not able to stockpile like they did in April (due to energy being capped)
As for the economy of the game, I agree with someone who posted a few days ago about how a group of 20 or so wrestlers can basically wipe out the entire roster on Turn 1. Now that's the type of economy that needs to be fixed.
My thoughts:
A. Tone down some of the new characters. Not sure it's even possible to do so with folks who paid money to get them, so maybe just grandfather them in at this point. Going forward, stop trying to make each future wrestler the next best one. For instance - the new KO with his 8 bazillion combo hit points. Or even the zombie round this week with ZLashley and trying to use ZOwens to beat him on Hell. By the way, I love zLashley, have him, and use him very frequently, but I have to admit the guy is way too overpowered.
B. Roll out new wrestlers, who although are completely terrible (Ryback level of play), are required to beat certain contests. With that requirement, folks will still purchase and build up. I personally like using the older wrestlers who require more luck and strategy, vs the newer folks now who are super recycle machines and don't require much thinking. There's much more strategy using Titus O'Neil vs my example above of ZLashley with Blue, Red, Red, repeat.
C. If A and B don't work, start redeveloping older wrestlers to compete with the newer ones. The improvements to Striker Rocky and Acro RVD were good steps in the right direction. But how awful is it now using an older wrestler (>2 years ago) against today's ones at 5SG.

not true. when I buy energy at 8:33 pm the cooldown timer says 11 h 27 m left. when I check back 11 h 27 m later, there is a new cooldown timer showing 23 h 59 m left... so I can only buy energy every 2nd day... really sucks...

And the new market is just as bad.
Also, for the people who had no energy stocked up, they had access to 5 energy a day. For everyone else, only 2. Glad to see the bosses kept the energy cap in place though.. 🙄
