Rotations, rotations, and more rotations?

There’s a ton of noise in other channels about a single faction being punished for rotating to a lower faction in their family. They shared the screenshots and looks like it was about 300k worth of help in advance of hitting the final milestone, but were docked more than 1.6m points for this contest only.

Exam questions:

  1. Can we clarify the definition of rotating?
  2. Does this include rotating down to help out your faction family?
  3. Is there a limit to the number of people who can move? Or is it based on aggregate points?
  4. How many factions were impacted by this?
  5. If a person brings in an alternate account, is this knowingly considered an exploit?

    Hey  @TheBear41 ,

Thanks for popping by. I moved your thread into the correct category (this is not a Technical Issue). Please check HERE to find out where you can post what.

Excessive Faction Rotations during running contests are something we try to avoid to ensure everyone an enjoyable and fair contest experience. Bypassing contest designs by swapping in many members who contribute points to one faction is not allowed.

We understand that factions need rotations to keep a certain structure and to compete in (upcoming) contests. This is still possible, but you should use your common sense here and not get it out of hand.

So, in short, do not constantly swap in new members who can contribute more points for your faction. The limit is your common sense and your will to maintain fairness in the contest and towards all other players.

We will also not give out any numbers or names of factions who excessively abused the faction rotations. Measures will be discussed internally and executed. There is always a reason for those measures, so please refrain from opening any debates about it.

We will keep this thread open for a while to have your fellow community members give their thoughts on it, but please don't forget about our Community Guidelines.

    Best,

    Firpo

At risk of sounding overly accusatory, Firpo, the only way we can enjoy the faction events is only by rotating in players who can help out because the milestones and requirements to get to the rewards that are "enjoyable" are excessively high for 99% of the player base. I would be really interested to hear some accounts of people who complain excessively about it.

Would it be more apt to say this is, in fact, a tactic employed simply to encourage more players to spend more money to try and get characters that meet the requirements that would help the other 99% of the faction?
