Trainer/coach replacement
As someone who has returned to this game after having to make a new account after I lost my old one, there are certain pieces that were available at the beginning of the game that were more beneficial as trainers that aren't available now. For example. Matt Hardy. New players coming in. He's no longer available to pull, and there's no shards for him available as well, so can there be an added character that will increase our multiplied gems by two like he would? Or even. Rusev and him creating blast gems. Since he's no longer available to pull or even get shards for, is there a way that a new character can be created? To take the place of him. To get those Blast gems.

Hello, Can you please re-skin good trainers like sincara, matt hardy, luke harper, nevil, wade barret, Rezar, Ryback, Dean Ambrose, Chris Jericho, Arn Anderson, Duddly Boys. There are most needed trainer like matt, sincara, rezar so plz bring them back. You can add them in key pulls, grab bags, special event for old superstars and You can add their shards in flash market tu recruit them like Shane o mac. Thanks for reading

I totally agree with you . Since I am a new player I am missing so many good trainers but off the lot you mentioned sincara and Matt Hardy seems to required very often for every damn Acrobat class . Hope they do something about it , it's been more than an year

Thank you for the feedback. There is a lot of time and effort develop characters and their moves. Reskinning a character takes as much time as creating new characters. Keep an eye out for new characters as sometimes they will have similar trainer abilities. Thanks!

Correction it takes more time than creating a new character. It's a rather involved process that can take in the range of a year to complete from the start of it. This is one reason that we rarely do see reskins but we do keep in mind the impact of removing a trainer for newer players.

Can we please get sin cara or him reskinned because he is so essential to some of the acrobats. Just like mutant cena was someone with a training ability that was no longer available, it would be nice to get someone that does the same as sin cara.

Or matt hardy his multiply helps alot but it shouldn't just stop at multiple of 2

the issue with making another is that they can stack for those that have both, in the case of matt hardy that can be really broken, as for rusev tho they did add a new trainer that is even better then rusev was, APA Bradshaw

Sin Cara? I feel like my HBK is nowhere near as good without this trainer. Maybe a re-skin like with the AOP changing to a Kofi? Is this something we can get instead?

Reskins are rarely done because of the time it takes to complete in comparison to a new superstar. The team knows there are many old training abilities that have been requested.

obviously not, they were not taken out of circulation for fun, they were taken out because they are not allowed to offer them in any way anymore. Also half of those you mentioned have no use whatsoever as trainers or already had replacements

they can't offer them anymore in any way, that's the whole reason why they had to take them out of circulation in the first place.

The frustration in this thread is palpable. I don't know what the solution is, but the reasons given for not being able to fix the issue is circular.
Reskin the old card - That process is long, complicated, and more work than making a new card
Make a new card - People can then stack the training ability which it too powerful
Bring back the old card - Can't due to licensing or other issues
So we know the problem, and the reasons not to do each of the proposed fixes are legitimate. The issue here is that nothing speaks to a solution which is frustrating for the consumers who may well spend money on a card they cannot unlock the full potential to because of the unatainable trainer or coach.
My worry is slowly locking new and potential players out of the game because of the inaccessibility to legacy training/coaching abilities.

How about release new characters to replace the trainer ability, not related to events, but through the mail for people that don't have the old counterpart. ( I assume the scopely tech side can make a search filter that can filter out people without those characters)
Then open a section in the in-game store that lets us trade our old/banned characters for an equal value of the new replacement, equal levels, moves, star fills.
Seems fair now? This suggestion

in my opinion , those who already have Matt Hardy , the second coach of the same imbalance will not bring much to those players, they already have monsters . And it's hard for newcomers. without such coaches
and I'm still naive waiting for Matt Hardy or Sting to drop out in the showdown store))) and they will never be there ?

some coaches like Sting and Matt Hardy meet in loot , for keys , for cash , for coins ... such a question , are they just shown there or can they fall out ?

This has been discussed before but definitely deserves to be discussed again.
Without having Sin Cara and Matt Hardy in your roster much of the acrobat class is useless. A re-skin or same trainer ability should be placed on a common character in the near future.

The simplest solution is to create the same ability on a new trainer.
Then as a condition in the programming to not allow 2 trainers with same ability to be used in the two available slots.
This would eliminate stacking.
This can be done with simple boolean statements and would EASILY take care of all future problems of characters leaving the game and needing to have their abilities replaced.

I'm not a master programmer here but I did do comp sci courses. I know that this can be written into the game code. I'm sure it will take an effort at the beginning but it will solve the above mentioned problem in the future as it will happen with roster turnover.

to fundamentally change how the game use and behave with data is obviously not the "simplest solution" like you says, would've been done years ago if it was and would require almost a complete overhaul of the game mechanics, like we said it's a known topic, there is just no simple solutions.

I might not be conveying my idea here in the clearest of terms but I'll reiterate.
There are two trainer boxes.
Sin Cara is no longer available to obtain.
New character gets made with same ability.
In description of trainer ability (which is just text) programmer would edit and say Sin Cara and whatever new character cannot be used in the trainer boxes at the same time.
There is obviously code that exists which discerns between coaches and trainers. To code on top where you can make it that two trainers or two coaches cannot be used in conjunction with one another IS the logical step to this problem. I would suggest at least suggesting this to the programmers.
