Yokozuna “Hall of Fame” Debut + Giveaway
Comments

The Yoko event overall was pretty good it seemed like alot of players were able to get him from the bags which is always a good thing. Whether intentional or not be having normal SD matches count toward the CSS usage was a added plus and i hope it continues going forward.
My only criticism is that i believe the monthly free SS should of been one of the required CSS instead of the more rarer SS need like Austin and Ted as that prevent alot of points from being obtainable.

Yet another event where I've seen faction mates spend a great deal of money and still cannot max it. It's quite an insult to the community. At least make the milestones match the effort to hit them. Showdown used to be the best mode in the game but you've succeeded in slowly killing it this past year.

Easily accessible contest superstars and the model of the card art of Yokozuna is absolutely phenomenal. I do think that the milestones In the 7.5m range could have been better. I think it was a bronze bag and a couple token bags. Normally their is more in the rewards, the farther you get.

I m happy you always look for our feedback but honestly are our comments read ? Do scopely plans about changing the direction of the latest event ? To me looks insane to have an event and miss almost 5/6 step to close despite having done all the task you assign . It’s ridicolous and outrageous to give for a rep 11 eleven 20 t-shirt and a few 3 star tokens . The resources are missing but you put on the market every week 2 new carachter . What to say more ? Give us more resources balance the rewards and make new event .

Nice event and give new superstar to everyone ...

The chance to get HOF characters is great. But as with all contests I wish you would publish exactly what you need to do to get the top prizes. It seems a bit vague

One of the best showdown event in recent memory.
Accessible characters for the event and associated tour. Huge amount of shards and equally decent milestone awards.
Thank you for such a fun contest.

pls bring back the old scoring system for events such as for sd, the game is becoming a pure spend events all the way, i hope you can have a level playing field for everyone and a separate event for spend ones. I know this is a business and you need to earn but with how long I've been playing this one means the company was able to sustain such strategy. During this time of pandemic alot of people are mostly home and able to play this game more but not all can spend, hope the company can balance out everything, the grind in this game becomes more worthless as time goes, like for sd, before when we claim the max sd pts after reset we able to hit max solo or a milestone away from maxing, but now, we can only go up 1 milestone after getting the max sd pts and that grind to maintain 1k notoriety becomes worthless. I understand this is business, I'm a businessman myself, but better bring the experience to the players rather than limiting the game to spenders i'm sure if the people enjoys the game more, then money will follow.

Copy/paste of every other showdown
What feedback do you want, nothing's been implemented.
The cost to recruit HOF Yokozuna even after maxing Showdown and the Tours is asinine.
Maxed out at Milestone 10, even if I considered spending a little to get Milestone 11, the rewards literally are not worth the spend.
How about you come back to the community with our feedback consolidated, and YOU provide us constructive critisim as to what you can, cannot and will do based on our feed back, and timelines to execute. Otherwise we're both talking to a wall.

I'd love if the max milestone was grindable. It at least close to it was.
A 4th road tour or increased points could have helped some of us reach higher milestones
The help mode had only rare guys as the context superstar which limited access to points.
The regular sd counting towards the coin points and battles helped so that was a positive.

I like the showdown event itself. Easy to max out 1000 noteriety each day. I like the change to count the required stars counting in the regular showdown. However, maxing out the event and required stars only gets you to milestone 10. It has been that way for awhile. The last 6 milestones are in achievable without spending a lot. The shards from the bags never give enough to get the event star. I hate seeing people get the star from the bags as I never have pulled one from the bags. So every showdown event I can not get excited for because I know I can not pull or obtain the new event star because of the event scoring method. I can only achieve milestone 10.

Feedback for Yokozuna HOF Event
Positives
- SD requirements weren't over the line and kept to a realistic number. Was able to complete the ones I could before the SD reset.
- Yokozuna is a great addition to the HOF and new character for Yokozuna.
- Like the addition of "guaranteed" displayed for certain pull amounts, however I don't know how much of those guaranteed actually gets you the featured but still a plus for taking this initiative to provide some transparency with doing pulls.
Negatives
- Very disappointing first event for 2022. Dislike the list of required characters as HOF Ted and Austin were still rare so unable to complete their SD requirements.
- Hate the fact that the required character changes in Hell Tour to restrict players from acquiring those extra rewards. This wasn't the done the last few events so why the sudden change and restriction.
- I would normally hit milestone 10 or 11 for previous SD events but this time could only do 8, so very disappointed with the amount of points given out.
Personally not a lot for me to say with this SD event, I'm not thrilled about it at all and feel like this time it's been a let down and hope it doesn't continue this way.

I got lucky enough to get yoka. Still unable to get past milestone 9. Without having the required superstars they are rare to obtain these milestones are hard as hell to get. Unless you pay thousands you can't max the events. Quit being greedy and give everyone a chance to get somewhere in the game. We are not all whales!!

Overall the event was ok. I rarely have luck actually pulling the superstar from a bag but that is what RNG is. So be it. I thought overall the tours were fine although I'm not a huge fan of making the hell mode bonus characters different from the normal and hard mode. I did enjoy the ability to get the points from the regular showdown matches. I don't know if that was intentional or not but I appreciated the opportunity to knock some of those bonus matches out before the actual showdown event began.
One thing that did bother me was that there were no offers or points tied into the Backstage pass at all for this event. It seems as though that portion was forgotten about and it limits the incentive to purchase it moving forward. The inconsistency in offers with the pass throughout weeks is an issue.
The rewards available in milestones 11 and 12 were not close to good enough to make me want to spend the amount of money it would have required to hit them for me. At that level there should at least be 1 bronze bag available at every level so you can get at least a little closer to the contest superstar. The stamp rewards were disappointing as well. No shards available until the last day and even then it was only 10 shards after spending $19..again, not incentive enough.
The actual tournament was what it always is,which is fine.
Overall, the weekend was again ok but there was room for improvement in my opinion.

There are a few really good parts of this event.
1. The tour requiring Eddie HoF was great. It allowed everyone to complete that tour entirely by being a tag tour.
2. Allowing coins to be gained and matches completed in regular showdown mode ahead of the event showdown was fantastic.
A negative part was level where the bags stopped and hit a significant paywall once again. While that is expected, it seemed to be much higher of a wall compared to previous events.

The faction milestones were easy to complete hope that stays the milestones to go higher require a lot of spending which I don't think is worth it seeing the rewards the showdown contest was the same as always not much to change and the tour were accesible for the most part so the event is pretty average

Generally a good event with some very positive changes, but also a continuation of some negative trends.
Pros:
Being able to achieve event-related milestones in regular Showdown was fantastic. It spread out the grind over an extra day, which made things much easier.
The card itself looks great and (although I didn't get him) seems to play really well and in interesting ways.
Cons:
The milestone rewards scaled very strangely. I got to 10/16, which is probably the max one could achieve without spending. Milestones 11 and 12 were terrible--3 star gold tokens? There's no incentive to lightly spend to hit them.
Remove tier 4 medals from prizes. If you still want tier 5 to be premium, just give us medal parts (like you did with straps) instead. It's just inventory clutter at this point.
I'm sure you've modeled these events to maximize profitability, but you've also maximized event fatigue. Since I don't spend anywhere near enough to max a SD event out, I know I'm not going to get the new card barring a really lucky bag pull. That sense of resignation has made SD events feel really flat. I like the slower pace (vs feuds) and the distinct low-mp format, but I know things are out of reach going into it, so it's always a bit of a bummer.

I've never played a gacha that is so unfriendly towards f2p & so unrewarding towards grinding. Usually, you can keep up by carefully managing your resources, but EVERYTHING in this game is paywalled. Premium sub here, backstage pass there, overpriced starter pack and an even more expensive one, loot pulls for 2€ a piece that won't get you anywhere & even if, by some miracle, you get lucky and acquire a good character; if you don't have the correct trainers & a proper strap, the char is useless.
Friendly reminder that the +green gem trainer has not been available to f2p players for 4 years. FOUR YEARS WITHOUT AN ESSENTIAL TRAINER. Keep on milking the whales until they move to a different game, because I cannot imagine any new players sticking with this cashgrab if there's plenty of alternatives that actually reward you for playing.

Same as all the others can only go so far without spending a lot of money I don't mind spending a bit now and again to support the game but make events doable by grinding the game a bit like wwe supercard yes u can spend on that game too but you can get the top cards still by playing alot

I ended 350 shards short of recruiting. Having to stop at that point, I do think the rewards for the weekend event were pretty significant. Note though that I'm someone who has been waiting on an event where a reasonable amount of spending would guarantee unlocking the new character and this was definitely not it. Offers in game and on portal were hardly offering any shards. So, the price tag this weekend wasn't even close to being worthwhile.
Did love the look of Yokozuna (gameplay and coach ability both great), and maybe I'll get lucky here or in another event before the month ends to get those last shards.

Too much of the solo event was behind a massive paywall as usual… I fully understand it’s a business but you have absolutely no chance of maxing any of the weekend or mid week contest without paying for it and paying big….

It would just be nice if everything wasn’t so heavily pay walled. I totally understand it’s a business and you guys have to make money. That’s fine. But half of the milestones are behind the proverbial paywall. I spend on this game as many of us do, but it shouldn’t cost 300-500 bucks just to even get close to maxing the event. That being said, it was nice that we could get the bonus from the regular showdown mode. That’s a welcome change.
So in all, just please stop putting every event behind a huge pay wall. I had all but one of the special characters and I didn’t have Yokozuna and maxed both showdown days and still only made it to milestone 10/16. That’s a little bit ridiculous.

This has gonna be one of the worst showdown events of all time.
increased milestones with rewards that don’t equal the value needed to max. No Yokozuna gear in the final milestone, instead some HOF straps with bleed/stun immunity. The average player doesn’t have the ability to take any HOF superstars to a competitive level so high end straps are a moot point as long as the 5 star HOF evolution tokens are so scarce.
locking the hell mode bonus rewards behind 3 harder to obtain HOF guys was a huge negative.
barely any points towards the event are available. 1 million points locked behind Yokozuna. 1 million locked behind 2 HOF superstars that aren’t easily obtainable.
i really don’t know why as a company you see the hall of fame superstars as premium and feel the need to make them so expensive. Other than Hogan none of them scale at 5 star gold and for the few that could potentially be viable they need both gears which are again locked behind a paywall.
Where my other faction mates were getting Yokozuna from the tour bags and I am still waiting to pop out my 1st superstar from bags there’s been very little positives regarding this event.
most players will hit between 6-8 out of the 16 milestones which is abysmal really and deflates the community.
There's alot of changes going on in this game and it's good to have a change but in good way .
fingers crossed for a better event next weekend don't wanted to give any bad review here but if we not share our experience with you guys that will be totally unfair with you guys so here I am .

Points are still difficult to build up, game in general is starting to get tedious and I will always campaign for guaranteed loot pulls. Other gacha games at this point at least give a guaranteed rarity. Removing shards as featured or super/very rare would also be a plus.

I did like the event but wish you had tours for all 3 days so that we get a chance to earn bags all 3 days . And also for the showdown wish the max amount of showdown coins was bumped up to 30 k . In game name nickko220395

Yokozuna's Banzai Spectular contest was actually very well carried out. Most part of the tours were doable thanks for keeping it a bit open and choosing a good set of contest superstars. The Showdown tournament was also fun to play, if there could have been some more amount of contest superstars getting higher in terms of milestones could have been more helpful.
The amount of yoko shards provided was good enough but as I mentioned earlier as well had there been more chances to go get more milestones for free it would have been better.
The paid loot pulls weren't that great but was not the only requirement to obtain yoko as I feel that several players were lucky enough to claim his card from the loot bags. Also can the shards be removed from the category of guranteed pulls as people are spending more money for that and they atleast deserve a good chance.
Overall this event was a success in my opinion and HOF Yoko as a character is an excellent addition to the game and will make ZLashley a god tier player.
Happy New Year Scopely with the HOF Yoko!

I hate the fact that I maxed the event both days, did every bonus I could and still only got to level 9 of 16. Played every level. That sucks.

No complaints. Grind out showdown. Get SD shop tokens. Get a few milestones. Move on. I bought one pull to make the milestone that included an emerald token. Ended up 250 shards short of recruiting Hof Yokozuna and that's fine. Took about two hours to get 1050 notoriety points and that was with the bonus posters. Again, totally fine with that. I thought it was a pleasant, doable event. 6/10

Like many have said, the good points this weekend are:
1) Don’t know if this was intentional, but being able to do the regular showdowns to count to the points was good.
2) The actual “Showdown” is working well. You can climb the ranks before you get multiple 5SG.
However…
I’ve been on this all weekend. And I’ll be not made the bronze milestone. It would have been nice if…
1) We could’ve used Piper and Lawler in Hell Mode. I think I might have just sneaked the bronze (having bought a loot coin 2:3 days).
2) if putting in the grind actually had some reward. We should’ve been able to make the bronze milestone without spending and without “premium” characters.
thats it :)
