I don't know the point of having a feedback thread for events that are basically the same over and over again. The wise move to make would be copying&pasting our own comments, at this point.
The ideal structure for this kind of event was the one introduced with the Boiler event and later used in another event, for it to never be seen again.
Anyway, noticed two small changes that deserve some focus:
- Removing the less rare characters as contest superstars (Lawler HoF and Piper HoF) for the tours' hell mode is a cheap move....in one word, disgusting!
- It's still unclear if the fact that the matches for both faction and solo event could be done in the regular showdown was intended or not....mainly because the blog clearly mentioned "YOKOZUNA SD" over and over again...so you have to make a choice: you have to be sure that the right hand knows what the left one has done, is doing and will do, because the "subject to change" thing is worn out!

Scopely has got to be the worst game developer out there, this is the one company that shamelessly makes everything unacheiveable unless you satisfy their paywall & pushes everything to the limits then always asks if it has gone too far.
A survey is rhetorical at this point you guys know this app is a rip off even more noticiable for this event in addition to:
- The new loot pull formats (fix the horrible RNG and not waste players time by separating the amount of pulls one can do).
- The predatory opponent pairings with opponents that have higher perks (give players a fighting chance)
- The lack of resources like 4SG & 5SS tokens to earn milestones by upgrading characters.
- Setting the boards to have gems drop in a manner that favors the AI opponents just to drain players of their resources like HP’s.
- The lack in development quality always causing errors & glitches on purchases then having support become non existent conveniently until events end. (Make it up to the players if delayed support is the reason that a milestone wasn’t able to be achieved, while you’re at it load “player appreciation boxes with gifts player’s can actually appreciate).
- Worthless prizes in comparison to the efforts required to achieve the milestones.
I get it that Scopely is a business but this is also a game, (not a state regulated slot machine). Players should be able to feel some sense of completion or progress for their efforts & not feel like they reach a dead end halfway through an event.
The game should not feel like players have wasted hours & efforts only to hit a dead end on a weekly basis unless a ridiculous amount of money gets thrown into it.
There really needs to be a happy median otherwise the paying players that keep this app going eventually get tired and either retire or move on.

All very applicable. We're also getting to the point where every character is "Godfather'ed." What I mean by that is the new character is mid-tier unless you have the right trainers, the right strap, the right medals, all the gear, the rare tokens to evolve them, all the perks maxed out, etc... and all this doesn't even matter as those at the top of the leaderboard don't even need to play the event. They could just spend an extra $500 or so and just skip the actual "game" portion entirely.
The community needs to come together and agree to limits on what these characters are worth. Sure, there will always be whales, but spending $100 on a game and getting a "featured" pull of 40x shards for a character that takes 2,000 to recruit is just laughable. Spending $500 and not getting the featured character, even at 3sb, is downright predatory. These are literally just lines of code and the rarity is just fabricated to get everyone to spend more. How did we let it get to this point?

This contest was balanced well I feel. The rewards were generous and well spread out. There were chase shards, solo points, needed tokens and a good balance of event character shards. These were things missing from past events that I felt were needed in all weekly events. The straps for HOF guys was a nice addition as well. The characters needed for the event were fair I feel. I did not have most, but they have been available at some point in recent past, so that makes for a much more palatable event. I saw the event character drop a lot during the course of the event too, so that makes me feel that was balanced well too. All and all, I feel the showdown events are 1000 times better than they were a year/a year and a half ago (maybe longer as I do not remember when the showdown events were revamped), when most players wanted to skip them.

you took away backstage pass bonus points
you increased the amount of shards required to recruit…
why? What was the point?
leave showdown characters at 1200 shards. Period.
all I’m asking for is consistency within the game. Not these monthly tweaks, additions or removals…
if I am going to spend… whether on pulls or backstage pass… I. Want. My. Moneys. Worth.

Always love the hall of fame contest hard to get all the bonus do to the fact the random picks they give you in the loot picks never give you a person just shards or repeat people 🤦🏾♂️

Please revert showdown coins back to 100 points per, doesn’t really make sense that in a showdown contest..showdown coins are the least effective method of scoring #MakeShowdownGreatAgain also we need more diversity in opponents. It starts off that way and then you get to a point where you refresh 5-10-15 times to only get 3 5SG king Booker opponents

I thought this weekends event was great. I especially liked that you could stay completing the requirements before the actual tournament. I did miss there not being a Sunday tour. Was so close to the next milestone, would have been nice to get another tour. The requirements were good I didn't have Sgt and Austin, but that's ok. The milestone rewards in solo were quite excellent. Hopefully the next tournament is very similar to this one.

I liked the tour but because it's really hard to evolve the hall of fame superstars I would have like to been able to earn evolve tokens as well

The main positive about this event was the ability to get bonus matches done in any showdown mode. By doing this, it made the showdown promoters more valuable since I actually had incentive to move up the ranks quickly knowing I wouldn't be locked in to doing 100 matches no matter what.
Making the top level prizes spend only prizes is always frustrating. It's one thing to have spending making things quicker, easier or less resource expensive but knowing that you can't do anything but spend to get certain things is deflating.

Another event like others with good things and space for improvement.
Good thing about this event were the requirements for the tours, at least normal and hard was achievable for almost the entire community and that gives space to make more points and earn rewards.
Another good thing about this event was that you could earn all solo points for MLC without spending what is very good for those that are F2P
What should be an improvement are the terms of rewarding. This event, in order to finish, was all about money(i understand that) but if you spend the ammount of money that it requires you should give like the superstar at least at 2* or his gear.
Hope that you will hear us and also make events that you can finish not only by spending money or have superstars that are 100% won by spending but also by grinding( talent, matches, etc).

you must more thing like that with high chance to get superstar from bag
second thing the superstar model is good also he strong even without any gear
only problem low hall of fame token must add more to level some hall of fame superstar up
solo event hard to max need much spend even you get the Yokozuna
two thing I like most in this event

2 he need 1600 shard not 2000 to recruit him

Basically, this is quite a good event after the holidays. I personally enjoy playinng it and quite challenging to run through the events. Appreciate the scopely team's effort during the holiday to keep the game running. Just few suggestions:
- Even though this is HoF month, suggest to add few more characters to earn extra points.
- The Banzai bags are quite less including the ones we can bought from portal, total amount are not enough to recruit him. And no final chance package available either.
- The rewards/bags in the milestone are not tempting enough for us to pay for them, suggest to add few more gears that players willing to pay for.

I thought that the tours were fine and obtainable. I'm not a fan of tying faction to SD events, since they are individual match ups. That said, rewards need to be better for faction events.
For HOF month, there needs to be a more concerted effort to put tokens in non-pay situations. The majority of SD HOF tokens are lower level and we've had HOF cards for two years, so their tokens should be available in different ways without pay. This is even more glaring when you pull a card this month. Normally you can just use the resources that you accumulate, but if you don't pull the card high enough, you're penalized for not having the tokens.

Not too bad an event - I feel like I saw more people getting the featured card from bags this weekend than usual. Whether the odds were increased slightly as the gear is paywalled elsewhere I don't know.
The milestones in the event felt off though. Some of the rewards in particular milestones weren't great, and most could only get around half the points without spending. Paywalling part of an event is pretty standard now with stretch goals etc, but it felt like a big chunk this weekend. Would be nice to see some HOF tokens in HOF event milestones though. Having a month based around attaining HOF superstars but no leg up to help evolve them a bit is a shame.
Being able to do bonus matches in regular SD was nice, whether intended or not.
And in terms of the card itself, Yoko looks like a fun character for those who pulled him.

I didn't feel that the fact you could register your character uses on the regular showdown before the event helped the majority of the players. It was more difficult to progress higher up in notoriety than it was the week before and I think it was down to a lot of the more hardcore players could use any superstars as they achieved the bonus points beforehand. I generally feel that instead of bonus points, there should be a requirement for showdown throughout to keep in the spirit of the event, as long as it's not locked behind a paywall.

The event was good , being able to play with contest superstars during normal showdown instead of having to do it all in the main event was a plus .

I liked:
- Increased odds for the poster in bags. It’s good to see more people getting the new release.
- The option to complete showdown bonus matches outside the tournament was very nice and made for a relaxing weekend.
- Tours continue to be reasonably open with good rewards and difficulty level. I hope this format doesn’t change.
I disliked:
- The event seemed to be nothing more than just RNG bags in the end. Players who complete all the same requirements, bonuses, tours etc end up with very different rewards. This can very unfair and disheartening.
- No leaderboards to actually compete or play for. Bring back leaderboards for winning showdown matches.
- Milestones after 4.4m didn’t have much value for money and didn’t entice spending at all. Personally I was happy to walk away with 1350 shards without spending rather than spending stupid money hoping to get a few more with no recruit guarantee.

I would have appreciated more bonus characters. I had completed the bonus characters that I have within the first four hours of the contest. There was really no reason for me to get on the next day. I ended up collecting my rewards for last week and playing he doesn’t matches to max out where my reward level was going to be. It would have been nice to have a couple other bonus characters so that I could have played until the end of the event. I did not pull yokozuna, so I was not able to play and give you an update on how his character is. I do not remember playing against one in the event either.

The 3 tours were good, but I wish you hadn’t changed the bonus superstar in hell mode. The rewards were good too. The milestones reward point requirements were, again, ridiculous. The showdown mode worked well, but I still think we’re losing notoriety faster than we’re supposed too. Overall, not a bad event.

I like the game, i play everyday for 1800 days, but every new event brings more and more frustration, paywall becomes bigger every single week, u can't grab the character via shards, all these random bags suck, some play all the weekend and get nothing, the others just open one bag and get the poster, the next event happens the same, same people get posters, the others get nothing out of these bags, make it grindable, u maxed the free part - y should get the 1 or 2 star poster, if u willing to spend- u can get 5 star directly from the event

Similar to what people are saying about f2p. If I grind both days, complete every free character requirement I have, complete all missions (ill admit I didn't have a HoF character good enough to completely finish 2 hell matches), max TU, I should not be stuck at 9/16 rewards level. That's just pure greed.
Also making extremely rare char the required for more points in the event means that those the already"have" will be the ones that will "get"

First hof yoko look to be great character i wish i will get him in the futur. Second it’s all your contest lately are base in the spending side of the game we must play all weekend and still don’t get any chance to get the superstars without spending a lot of money its ok to put the better reward in the too milestone for the spender but now you all the good rewards are in the second parts of the milestone and un reachable for player who don’t spent a lot of money make it doable for us and give us a chance to get characters by work and playing hard in the game not just by spending. Thank you

I thought it was good. I would like to see a community event accompany this sort of event in future, and also would like to see more opportunities to get stars to allow me to fill the stars of some of my superstars sooner if possible please. The Showdown tournament itself was fine.

This contest had good and bad sides:
Positive:
- My faction was able to max an event for the first time. As we had the chance, it was a real faction feeling in the discord chat as many players were involved to fullfil the last milestone.
- It's good that you have split the loot coins to 1, 7 or 40. As I bought 4 at day 1, I could use them all three days. That's the only reason I bought 4 this time, in the last events I didn't buy, as single loot coins are less worthy.
Negative:
- Even with maxing both days in showdown and using my available bonus characters in fight, doing most of the tours even with the bonus characters and spending a loot coin each day, I'm just at 9/16 overall. So in the end, it would be more fair, one basic contest for the people who are willing to play and one bonus contest for the people who are willing to pay.
- It's boring that it's easier to play showdown fights with one superstrong wrestler plus the bonus character than playing with different characters. Maybe you should get an extra reward for playing with more different wrestlers.
- Maybe you should rethink the times. Here in Germany day 1 starts at 9 pm and ends at 9am. Maybe some events could start three hours earlier, others three hours later. So people from all over the world have a time advantage from time to time.
