    Gonna give props to Scopely for trying something new and out of the box. This PvE live multiplayer was something I didn't expected from this game, specially with it's weird non-live PvP format.

    While the matches were fun, A LOT of people forgot to equip their Boss Breakers abilities, which caused a lot of detriment to experience. Not faulting the devs on this one, but I think efforts can be made on the UI to remind players about it.

    My main issue with Faction Boss was that the Blue Gems Shield is just NOT FUN to destroy. It shouldn't take more than 4 "turns" to be done with it, and every single move that generate/destroy blue gems should count to put the shield down, not just selected ones.

    I don't think that moves like the ones Tech Steamboat use shouldn't count because it would be "too easy" to break the shield, when in higher levels it would be very useful if you want any chance of winning.

    The other issue I have is that this mode is clearly aimed at people in the endgame, characters with high damage output, lots of HP. Would be cool to have some sortof balancing for "newer players" or people with certain class at a lower level.

    And finally, for my grips, I wasn't very thrilled to go all out on Faction Boss since the points we got for the contest were pretty mild. Reached Level 6 and wasn't going to waste my weekend trying to grind some few points for a next milestone I'm not gonna reach.

    I think this mode has potential tho, keen to see how is gonna look next year.

    I liked the faction boss beta, it seemed a good variant on other game modes and requires strategy and team work. A few kinks need to be ironed out with the lag and server capacity during peak times.

    a balancing of rewards and milestones may need fine tuning, but all in all a positive addition to the monthly agenda!

    The concept in itself is great. Similar to Pokémon go, you have 4 faction mates trying to take down one big boss. However, the concept was not fulfilled at all. The boss would glitch way to often during matches. The damage going up way to high every turn in higher levels not equal at all to who we could use. That shield was way to high for fair competition. The blitz had so many issues, including most players not being able to compete, or even when they could compete, rewards weren’t given. The loot was trash compared to the $ value. An event for everyone should be able to max without spending hundreds of dollars or 30-40 hours with just having luck. The coin for being able to do premium blitz was nice for those who actually did get it. The potential is there. But for when this finally does release in 2022. It must have less glitch, rewards must be better. And the people who can be used must be equal to the boss level. 4 5sg should be able to beat any boss battle. Not just 4 specific whale players or very mythic guys!

  • The Boss Battle has potential to be awesome, but you have to fix the bugs. The lag in transitioning between special moves was disheartening, also losing a special move because the timer ran after you selected it was not very right. If you can work the kinks out, it will be worth playing.


    The blitz was a disaster by not giving out rewards properly.

    I appreciated the new mode of gameplay. I liked that this mode actually required coordination with teammates to make sure that teams were functional and had a chance to defeat the boss. Most other modes, even team-ish ones like feud are still solo exercises. Personally I really enjoyed the later invasion modes so am happy we have something that will scratch that team effort itch again.

    While the mid-event downtime was annoying, I’ll give the benefit of the doubt for it still being in beta.

    My main critique for this mode was the lack of tangible rewards for winning the boss matches. I’m happy I cleared a L10 match for one classs (and made it past L7 in all) the effort to try and pip out another victory or two was not worth anything to me since the rewards were solo points (and wouldn’t have resulted in another solo milestone being reached). A recalibration of rewards (coins/tp/tokens/???) for clearing the matches would be a good switch and make it worthwhile for people to play (and stress test the servers).

    Additionally, having played a bunch of matches over the weekend, I’m still not sure exactly how the boss breakers trigger. Is it manual? Automatic? A better tutorial of how things work would have been helpful.

    Finally, I had the same complaints initially that have been listed above about thinking that gems were not being counted to the shield from moves. I ended up convincing myself it always counted my gems (but immediately upon move being fired, not after they would break) so maybe a recalibration of the timing of that, or a pop up that shows you broke X number of gems similar to the way you’d see that your teammates broke some.

    This event was total trash you guys have no heart total greed


    How do you make the premium blitz 4 characters out of potentially 7 total that is very ridiculous and stupid it should have been two characters most three so that the majority of the players could play it why does everybody going to do with those stupid golden tickets



    Not getting points if you redid a boss level is also very dumb you need to implement more ways to get points on the bosses


    The shield was very stupid made people take forever on those matches these bosses already got ridiculous amount of life and hit hard

    The boss is a good idea but it's the season of giving and you guys are not doing that at this time being very greedy this month should not be that way I understand it's a business but you got 11 months to drag that through there was a lot of errors lots of freezen lots of disconnections when it's going to happen you say put in tickets but they don't get back to you until the event's over so it's kind of useless


    But seriously stop being so greedy especially on this month we need a trade in so we can trade in all the extra crap we have in our inventory like those golden premium blitz tickets that 90% of the people could not use

    Only 15 people maxed the milestones. So basically the strong got stronger. Event milestones should be based on league level like the mlc milestones. Rewards wouldn't be as good for the lower leagues but at least you would have a chance to get something.

  • It looks like something with hope the points and the rewards might need a little tweaking and hopefully a little bet work with the boss it self there where some times it's same like a little freeze up happening and a few times got kicked out but there dose look to be same hope here that this could be a good thing moving forward

    First off, terrible, boring and uneventful event!

    All the harsh negative feedback is deserved.

    Horrible reward scaling, tedious, laggy/buggy and just overall not fun.

    The solo contest was a slap in the face to all players. Even the big spenders.

    Before the event started I was optimistic that everyone would be able to get 1-2 rewards from the prize wall bit man was I wrong. Getting enough tokens would bankrupt anyone. 240 tokens really for top posters? Really?

    Nice try but put this one in the can.

    the good part - something new to the game, the event as a whole including the best of 2021/ faction boss rewards It was such so Ill executed that most of the community took a break from the game for most parts of the weekend.

    considering we just got done with talent up and the hof mini talent up events, you guys expect us to do 15k talent up across 4 different stable links? Either this wasn’t thought out to it’s full extent or you don’t care

    pull odds are crap, firstly breaking down the pulls across stables and then including random, free characters in the higher odds category is again a low ball move

    boss events needs work

    1. there has to be a way to reduce animation timings, while you give the boss an instant hit ability, players struggle with laggy animations
    2. adding to the above last second moves don’t get counted plus you lose the move charge
    3. network issues for one affects the entire team
    4. i feel +move charges should carry forward to boss battles
    5. rewards were abysmal
    6. random crashes were rampant again luckily there was no hp loss
    7. overall as a so called best of the year event this was a pretty terrible event

    Faction Boss event was horrible difficulty was beyond ridiculous.

    Event was dealing with various issues:

    1. Ghost lobbies
    2. Blitz not giving out rewards
    3. Connectivity problems
    4. Overpriced paywall

    All 3 loot pull sections we’re a waste worst than the usual.

    There is still a major imbalance as it relates to 4SG tokens, making it almost impossible to upgrade characters which was another huge portion for making points.

    The points system as well as points needed for the prize wall section was a bit extreme on the amount needed.

    Not liking the direction that things are headed.

  • This had bugs all over it and it was too slow and when I would connect 3 it wouldn't go through and would freeze in that position forever and it always said wait until the other team members and it was not good and I ended up closing the app and opening it back up with no prevail this game mode has potential at this moment I don't see it need a couple of fixes and to be generous I will give it a 2/10 it would had been 1/10 but that would be too cruel of me

  • Yeah I had a problem when breaking blue gems when the boss shield was activated they never went towards the counter I took clips but won’t let me send them here unfortunately but other then that there were a lot of connection issues and the instructions for the boss faction weren’t very clear might need to have some of your creators come out with some videos or how to when it finally goes live

    The boss having a move that increases through out the match definitely shouldn't be should be more of a even playing field. Gems should count as the numerical value in the gem.

    • Solo: Worst event we had in a very long time. Impossible to max or even reach milestone 12/20 without heavy spending. Terribly scaled. Rewards were good but even if you did some spending you'd still be really far from the "good" milestones.
    • Tours were good but should had way more solo points in there. Other rewards were fine.
    • Blitz: Pretty good and you could get a good amount of coins. The problems it had made it look worse than it actually was.
    • Faction Boss: Finally a new game mode. It was everything we wanted and it has a lot of potential but it needs to be ajusted. Lag was the major issue. Move effects not counting if it started close to the timer being at 0 and therefore stealing all your MP. Boss Breakers should have had more levels and currency available through tours. Tiers 8+ were really tough without Macho King, having a new game mode limited to 1 god tier character isn't what we need.
    • Store/Loot: We could have seen more offers and perhaps guaranteed shards being sold. Loot idea was pretty cool but once again it feature a lot of unwanted posters while we got charged a higher amount and received less loot coins than we usually get.

    I'll start with the good. The new mode is a welcome addition. I enjoyed it and the strategy needed. A few connection issues that need to be ironed out which made defeating higher level bosses impossible at times as you sat watching the timer go down while your character did nothing.

    The bad though - the event and milestones were terrible. You dangle the carrot of good prizes on the prize wall but make even the lowest prize behind a massive talent up and/or massive paywall. I was able to clear the tours with all required wrestlers for once and got past level 8 on the 4 styles of faction boss and not a single prize wall coin.

    The coin amount in prizes were good though.

    Edit: the boss shield was a pain but only because gems generated from moves didn't count as gems destroyed. For example the 1*7 area generated from tech Steamboat did not reduce the shield count. I like the concept though

    Good -

    1. the actual event was good. At the higher level of “boss” there needed to be good communication and planning.
    2. The global option was good when faction mates weren’t active.

    bad

    1. my main gripe was that the solo contest was hard to make progress on. I maxed 3/4 tours, did all my blitzes, hit LV 7 for all types and still only made milestone 9… this can be solved with tweaking the scores I’m sure. or alternative give points for each victory rather than first time wins?
  • Easily the worst event in my time in the game, 3 years.

    Constant technical issues with the Boss matches including lag, locked out of games, move selection delayed at end of players time, disconnections, unable to play any other part of games.

    Rewards for normal blitz completely pointless.

    Another pay to win event at a level that makes it prohibitive for majority of players.

    Good that you're trying to develop something new but if this event is the best you can do then just improve what's still broken instead of bringing such a soul destroying and time waste of an event (clearly no UX/CX employed as this wasn't even funny it was so bad).

  • In general, here are my thoughts:

    - Server issues. There was quite a bit of lag in most of the battles I had. Given this is done in real time, winning battles was made much more difficult.

    - Feud boss imbalances. After a certain point, feud bosses were extremely overpowered relative to even teams of 4 5 star gold characters. Even at level 8,it was difficult to clear without having a very specific team.

    - Certain characters are made ineffective due to their move animations. This is another area which causes a significant imbalance in the experience.

    I feel like there is a fun game mode here, a few serious issues get in the way of enjoying these feud boss battles. I know the mode is still in eta, and there are a lot of opportunities for improvement. I won't pass judgement on this game mode until/if these issues are addressed.

  • Move animations take up too much time in Faction Boss. Would be nice for the time to stop. To go along with this if we use a move and can’t complete the action before the timer is up we should be able to A) finish the move or B) be reimbursed the mp for the next round.


    Also just to reiterate the issue with Blitz rewards, I personally stopped playing since I figured we wouldn’t be reimbursed properly.

    So all in all was a did weekend. Too many bugs that didn’t really make it enjoyable

    Tours were okay, getting some 5SE tokens is always nice.

    Blitz was fine, but how difficult can it actually be to make sure people get their rewards.

    Loot coins were absolute trash, and the milestone points were way too high.

    Faction boss actually turned out to be fun. HOWEVER, damn you need to do something about the lag. I had rounds where I was able to do 2 moves the whole round because of the lag. Animations are also terrible during the rounds, they should be turned off or just replaced with a quick punch, etc. There was no incentive to run a level after you've already gotten the points, even if it was just a handful of points giving people the option to grind would have been better. Boss Breakers locking you into an animation where you can't do anything sucked. Using moves in the last 5-10 seconds of a match was pointless cause you wouldn't get the effect. I feel the shield amounts were fine, but it then really restricts you into using certain characters.

    Overall I would give the event a C-. The fun I had with the faction boss (when it wasn't lagging) didn't make up for the trash elsewhere.

  • 1. Kudos to finally trying something new. This game desperately needs something other then SD and Feud. Still miss invasion. Boss battle has potential but it needs a complete overhaul.

    2. Having to break that many blue gems with none falling, my generate blue gem move not working etc is complete bs. I had 5* silvers that was only able to get off the original 2-3 moves and got killed because we couldn't get blue gems to fall or our generate blue gems didn't count.

    3. Rewards were nowhere near worth the play for it. Milestones were damn near unattainable.

    4. Lobby needs to be more then 10, more like 20

    5. Rules should of been explained better. Took us most of Saturday night to realize some things.

    6. Blitz rewards were a joke, as were the requirementsfor tours. Majority of us only had the free person. So we didn't even have a chance for bonuses after normal.

    7. This was cleary a pay to play event., which was pretty Shitty of you guys for a new possible game mode...At the very least have higher percentages for pull!

    8. Boss "home" page needs to be easier to read/navigate.

    I think it might be more reliable if this was 1 central boss the faction might be attacking as a whole, with milestones coming when certain tiers of damage or something of the like are achieved. It's a massive time sink when it felt like 1-2 players were dropping out because of a connection issue, and is less ideal of members within a faction would try to form a group to go in, but anyone of the faction could join but not be booted(which could be handled with communication, but making the option available to have private/invite only rooms would just make it easier.) It's already frustrating enough in Feud having to wait on partners, so seems even less ideal to inhibit players that want to grind by the limitations of their immediate group. Let the strong contributors go at it individually, but still contribute to the success of their faction.

  • The faction boss even was cool the actual event was kind of lame and super hard to earn the milestones with out spending a ton plus I kinda got ripped off on some bags… anyways with more work can be cool

    Boss Battle was not executed properly. When gems were broken during a move or by a 4 match row break, it never counted. It only counted when it matched. Destroying Multiply gems didn't attribute at all.

    The matching was a MAJOR issue. The lag was horrible as if you were in the middle of an animation, the move would never complete. The animations took at least 20 secs off the minute.

    Increase the time.

    Decrease the animations.

    Allow a break of ANY gem by ANY method to be counted to the amount. Breaking multiply gems should attribute correctly as well.

    The concept was nice, but it needs to be worked on before we do another.

    Regardling the Blitz? One of the easiest for yhe blue tickets. One of the worst for the gold.

    The faction contest wasn't the best. At all.

    Also, when are we recycling the inventory? Last years Thanksgiving rvent was one of the best. This past event was very lackluster.

    It was one of the slowest and most troublesome events I have ever played.

    Blitz:

    The game gave a little low rewards and in some cases it even crashed and gave no rewards.

    The premium blitz was very restrictive, but good.

    Boss:

    It made me very complicated about the type of game, the server failures, the shield that was a headache in general, since if you managed to break it, your friends or yourself no longer had life to continue.

    Loots:

    They were very expensive, I bought a few and as always not even fragments of something new. Every time I have less faith to buy a loot because I know that if I do not buy more than 100 loots, I will not have something new. Unfortunately I have no money to spare. The worst thing is that if I wanted to advance in the event I had to buy, and as I mentioned on other occasions, they have become very usurers with that issue.

    Event:

    It looked promising for the awards, but it was almost impossible to get there. I just stayed in the first few, trying to increase points but it was outrageous to do so.

    As I read other comments, even if they give away fighters, if they do not give more opportunities in the game, people will continue to go for this type of usurious game that only thinks about making money.

    That's my feedback on the event.

    Tanks up there in the top 3 events that sucked. Only way to max the milestone was to spend around 1500 cash. Wait making this a money grab game and fix the issues that are in the game now. Instead of the new events they crash giving more shit to fix.
