The Best of 2021 event did not have many positives. The scoring was confusing starting with the portion from the Faction Boss. It seems if you unintentionally ended up in a global boss battle, you received less points than one with 100% of your faction members on the first time rewards. I'm not even sure how that's possible. Then the blitzes weren't paying the proper rewards. The talent up was limited to certain related categories where most of the pool was likely already leveled high. The best part of the event was the tours and the teamwork within the faction to try to win the boss battles. Both of these could've been accomplished without an event tied to it and just provided better rewards for completion.

Huge waste of time. It constantly froze so even if I could win the match 2 out of 3 times I didn't get the rewards and had to restart. Terrible timing to beta an event. It's Christmas month and I am pushing for the chase character so basically I may hold off on trying to get them this month. The only positive I found from this was it doesn't deplete the superstars hp if your team loses. I also don't like how you can't use superstars in other modes of they are locked into your boss battle lineup. It was easy enough to switch them out so why not just make them playable.

Faction Boss
- Entertaining if you have the card that suits what’s required. Absolutely bummer if you don’t. Good luck trying to break 100+ blue gem shield without the likes of Morrison, Shelton or Gobbledy Gooker.
- Gameplay was extremely sluggish at at times costed the players’ opportunities to win.
Contests
- Unfortunately rewards are not very rewarding for the effort. Horribly scaled. I personally cleared all the tours and progressed moderately well on Faction Boss fights (8-9-8-8) but for 3sg tokens? c’mon.
- Talent Up event part is very restricted. There are not a lot of superstars in each category for example Ring Royalty. Sheamus and Macho are very rare leaving only small gap on Nakamura and Booker.
Blitz
- Very restrictive. Rewards are decent.
Suggestions
1) Closed Lobby option : invite only. Would be much easier for a group of players that wanna try for the mode together.

What I didn't like of this is that this event was in place of the showdown event was really hoping to have a showdown event as well to help with rewards, but nothing and really need the showdown coins as well for me to top up again after 2 weeks I really hope this faction boss event will not replace the showdown events as the showdown coins really come in handy that is needed in the game

The best thing about this event was that there was Faction Boss to play this weekend instead.
Honestly, this was awful.
- The options for Talent Up were too restrictive. While I had a lot of the characters, I was effectively punished for having built them up previously and left with no options for doing 15k of talent up in each category.
- The rewards for a huge amount of talent up were really poor. Maxing out all of those scoring methods would've cost me a huge amount of resources, and I would've received a fraction of those resources in return. The RNG bags were not an incentive to chase as they contained many free or easily attainable characters. Even with the better bags, it's highly unlikely to be within 100 shards of a particular character and to hit that specific character, so chasing these bags was definitely not worth spending for.
- Blitz was a mess. No rewards were given out and the premium blitz had requirements that many players couldn't fill.
- Faction Boss could have contributed much more to the solo event. The points for maxing were really low. The faction-mate scoring also didn't work correctly for some players, so they couldn't even earn all those contest points.
- Loot was expensive and the pulls were awful. There wasn't even any value in doing the 1st time loot pulls this time around.
The good?
- Premium blitz was quick and easy, so 12m coins for this was nice.
- Tours were again good. It was nice to pick up 4x 5SE tokens pretty easily.

Absolutely rubbish. Pointless part of the game and the rewards were shockingly bad.
Focus would be better suited on areas that actually benefit players rather than trying new things that are too difficult to really do

We appreciate your hardworking with this game and trying to bring new items. But solo event was out of range and new mode was very hard. Thank you so much. We are waiting for showdown tournament

I appreciate a new event type. I understand it was a beta test and bugs need to be worked out. Hopefully most of them did. The rewards were not worth the frustration of learning how to play the event and the event is solely based upon 2 characters if you didn’t have them you were out of luck. It just wasn’t worth it in my opinion. My complaint is after having the first week blitz which is just brutal if you don’t buy the starter pack is having to do even more blitzing. The event was far to expensive for the terrible odds and minimal rewards. Same thing having so many talent ups back to back. It made it very easy to pass on spending this week so thank you for that. Lastly I liked the fact there wasn’t new characters but focused on shards for existing characters I would definitely like to see that more often.

I didn’t like this event, the faction boss wasn’t working half the time, I missed out on maxing or coming close to maxing the event and felt like this one just wasn’t thought out well. Now for the 4 faction boss battles I got to play it was fun and interesting but in the future let’s try and make this a little more better

The worst event i ever played on this game 😝. Fully waste of my time. Blitz required conditions are also worst. If someone doesn't have any player than he can't play the blitz .
Don't do this type of event ever. In this event rewards are also not good. In game there are less token of 4sg.
Please take the feedback seriously. I don't want to play boss battle again.

The Boss Battle was a mess. Freezes, locking up lobbies, showing people in battles but not allowing them in, etc. I also didn’t get my talent up points for zombies I leveled up. One of the worst functioning events in some time.
The Boss Battle itself definitely needs adjustments, as well, beyond the glitching. The way the shield works is unclear. Despite generating tons of blue gems, it didn’t seem to crack the shield correctly. Additionally, there were issues using Boss Breakers, as some were not working at all.

Tours
I didnt mind the tours quick easy and if you had the contest superstars well worth the time.
Blitz
Altough there was issues with the reward payouts which i got the prizes back in my inbox i didnt mind the blitz. nice way to gain points and wasnt too difficult. The premium prizes were nice and it was nice that we could play so many for free.
Solo
This was quite possibly the worst even we have seen in 2021. Talent up wasnt happening as we had a talent up last weekend, a talent up this week and now this? way to much.
Way to spend orientated.
The Boss contest wasnt exciting and wasnt thought out well enough (the contest not the actuall mode which i wont review on this post)
Loot
i simply didnt bother this weekend to spend a single penny i didnt see it was worth while enough.
Faction
Why there was no faction contest is beyond me. This is usually a reason to play the game on a weekend!
overall id give it a 3 out of 10 but im been kind as it almost gave most of us a free weekend off!

I literally tried it, was disappointed and checked out for the weekend. The concept of faction boss was fine. The execution was horrendous. My main disappointment were the mechanics when the shield was up. Why put in place a filter for picking superstars that make or destroy blue gems. Then when blue gems are made or destroyed they don't even count towards the shield. The ONLY blue gems I could get to count towards the shield were the ones broken naturally. So at that point it made strategy with picking certain superstars pointless. I'm not sure if only I had this problem or only some people had this problem. However to me it made things pointless.

Worst event ever.
-Last half year non-whales can't max weekend events at all. It makes very killjoy taste of separating players even more then usual.
-This event even worst most player don't get a single BEST OF 2021 characters shards, only a shards for free wrestlers. So Scopely hyped this event as good chance to collect shards but 98% players get nothing.
-Boss battle aweful
-It's not fun.
-It's laggy and glitchy.
-Turn can just get freezed and you can't do anything exept quit and ruin battle for all 4 players.
-you should have 60 sec per turn but in facts it's 50-53 because after that gam don't let you do anything more.
-if you harry enough to hit choose move and you don't make a choose before 60 left - it's your problem, move and it's mp just wasted.
-Often when game-servers bugged it shows "your opponents making a turn". wtf? You put a blame of bugs from game to your teammates? Boooo
-To beat lvl7-8 boss you need 4 different guys with lot of health, breking blues and making a lot of damage fast. It is almost impossible even for top playes.
-Not everyone in top 100 max boss event.
-Boss event have very low best of 2021 event points.
-Boss event milestones calculated very bad.
-Best of 2021 talent up barely worth it and i'm sure this by design. Every player have Royalty, Zombies 2021... characters. But they already talented high enough, free character for their month tour, chased and weekend for victory tours.
-There is a few bad things, but i forgot them writing it.
-Godd things - emerald tokens in tours and coins in premium blitz.
-Please leave this mode for good, this is 0 enjoy.

I do think that this new game mode has potential once every piece is added to it (mainly adding coins so we can build moves). It also seemed like more explanation needed to be there before the boss mode started because it seemed like we were still learning stuff on the fly like how to get rid of the shield as well as how to score points for the contest. I am not sure what we can do at this point with the mode though, but I can say that I was done playing that mode Friday night about two hours into the contest because I had scored all the points I could. I think there could be some stuff done to make the play last longer like some kind of rewards or point system for maxing out an event for multiple rounds played. A grinding philosophy. If we are talking the event as a whole, then this pay to max is getting a bit out of hand. I think I read that if you did everything else, it would still take 290 some pulls to max. That is not so cool just before Christmas. You should be able to get some of the good stuff just grinding things out. Gets very deflated if you see all this awesome stuff but then can only make it to 10/ 20 because the pocketbook does not allow. Still enjoy the game though, but think scopley can do better with all the spend.

Positive was the faction boss beta was actually pretty fun has a lot of potential with some tweaking. Can we please have a filter on our roster so we can see who is focused, chaotic etc going forward so we know who to work on.
blitz was fine for me 2 and 4 matches should be the max for a blitz because it’s so boring
tours were fine too and not too restrictive.
talent up had a lot of points for different categories which was decent
bad part now- you could barely make a dent in any useful milestone without massive spend. I got to the 5 mil milestone and just gave up because it was pointless for me to play anymore despite doing all my blitz, tours and getting as far as I could in faction boss

I enjoyed the faction boss matches, it’s something new and with a few tweaks here and there such as additional currencies to level up boss breaker abilities and move effects counting properly before the boss turn, it’s definitely a nice idea to break up the seemingly endless cycle of Showdown/Feud weekends.
The Solo event tied to this was disappointing in the aspect that there wasn’t much in the event milestones that were overly valuable and to get deeper into the event the amount of niche characters talent up and loot expenditure (on a very underwhelming loot) was unrealistic.
Overall, thanks for trying something new, it definitely has more potential than faction invasion did!

Honestly, the event was complete trash. It's becoming more and more obvious that every event will be spend, spend, spend. There wasn't close to enough points before spending. You need to please the free to play and the light spenders to make them feel like they matter too. Then they might spend more if they feel relevant

I thought this was a great new game mode. It makes you and your faction mates think instead of just blindly swiping.
Couple of ideas:
- this doesn't need to be 2+ days
- faction rewards
- better milestone rewards

Only about 25 of the biggest spending whales will reach the final milestone with a large portion of the player base that invested many hours and possibly some "Modest" spend of <$500 will barely reach the halfway mark. The rewards in the milestones were rough, shard bags of common cards. Loot odds were so low as is par for the course. I get trying to make things "exclusive" but looking at the realistic math someone is going to have to do 100 pulls to get ONE item from the featured and that range in the featured category is rough. When people are new to the game they get excited and think Maybe I can get one of the good guys, only to realize after spending thousands on pulls and barely getting anything they want they hit a spend wall and just say no.
Faction Boss - excitement was built up, but execution and rewards were not up to any standard, even the Scopely standard.

Constructive criticism:
- the concept. The concept itself was intriguing and still I think it has some merit. There is still life in the game mode if the bugs are fixed
- lobby time. Took too long at times to get 4 people organised to get a match and if people log into the lobby and then forget to leave it it left lobbies with 1 person leading that wasn’t active leading to unusable lobbies.
- event rewards. Really not worth playing it this time round as the rewards were poor, and at times not paying out. Really made it a miss event which is a shame as it could have made a real splash with the new game mode
- boss breakers are pretty cool but needs tweaking to help with strategies. Maybe limiting each lobby to 1 character of each style class/boss breaker abilities
I think the mode has a future but really needs taking back to the draft board to make it run smoother and slicker for those wanting to get matches in quickly

Seemed like a nice way to integrate the first run of Faction Boss into the weekend event. Faction Boss in particular seems to have a lot of potential especially if it gives us alternative weekend event structures.
Loved the tours giving us very nice rewards for having made progress on the previous events from the year.
Main downside to the event is so many points being tied up into talent up after having the normal MLC talent up earlier in the week. Might have been a good opportunity for those who didn't need to spend much TP earlier, but I had already maxed the TP event and didn't feel like it was a good return on resources to do talent up here.
Shard bags as the unique rewards in the milestones for non-spenders was also not very exciting. Not going to tempt me to spend money/resources when the reward is random shards. Maybe a prize wall for shards would have been better.

the entire weekend was awful.
faction boss isn’t scaled properly and I couldn’t progress past level 7
the blitzes didn’t give rewards as intended so I am out on that. Also, at the current meta and resource requirement, rewards were still absurdly low
point methods to restrictive for talent up as you designed a talent up at the end of those respective contests and I wasn’t about to waste what resources I do have for a fraction of the return.
contest largely behind an absurd paywall with even more absurd loot oods.
at this point I would love for a community spending ban because you are back at your nefarious ways of digging into pockets while ignoring the issues at hand.

Unfortunately I have no positives as this event was bad.
1. Faction boss did not work properly all weekend. Timer would go and you couldn't swipe, lose signal even if you had it and a ton of other issues. I was not able to achieve all the points due to these issues. The higher up bosses need leveled down and maybe turn the lobby into 2 or 3 players instead of 4. Lower level players will never be able to move up because us higher level players will just kick them from the lobby.
2. The reward achievements were way to high to reach. When you figure out only the top 3-5 players in the world have a chance to pick a character with rewards it's a little ridiculous. I have no issue with paywalls but this was way overboard.
3. Hopefully this does not mean you guys are doing away with showdown events. If you are having less showdown events you need to move the per day coin cap higher up.
4. I wish you would give better advance knowledge of events to plan our game strategy out better.

For someone with social anxiety it was a nightmare add on it needs a complete rebalancing. Really a waste of a weekend.

The worst thing you put out there. The Faction Boss match is exceedingly difficult. With the amount of time each move takes to go through the graphics, there's not enough time to get a sufficient attack. When the shield comes up, forget about it. I'd rather play Invasion than this.

This was my least favorite event on the calendar…It’s very poor gameplay/fun for me
