Question before it event starts (sorry) blog says there’s only 3k(ish) month long starrcade solo points on offer which seems very low? :/ thanks

Hello kuzclaw. That is correct.

Event looked nice on the blog , seeing it live now it is not . Putting the tour on hell to 5 silver to finish it with Bonus is somewhat understandable yet I think it is a bit early to put 5 silver as required. The major drawback ( least for me) was tho that I was looking forward to eventually get the gear for Eddie hof , I understand that I have to spend for them but finding out that it’s around 700 bucks to get them is not spinning the loot it’s robbing the players . I really do get the concept of some milestones being behind a paywall but this event just is way over the top imo. Other than that tho the requirement for Bonus in showdown are fine and the event is ok.

in comparison to the previous 2 showdown event we’ve had this one is absolutely horrible. Definitely taken 2 steps back with this one. Requiring 550 loot coins to be spent after all bonuses and available event points are obtained is asinine.
not to mention the fact Eddie is a tier 3 showboat at best, unless of course you enjoy 25 minute matches. There are plenty of better free to play showboat options so the incentive for the average player to spend will be minimal. I’m sure some huge spenders will most likely turn a blind eye to this one. No event should cost over £1000 to max when the rerun isn’t anywhere near that value. A better showboat will be released in a months time and Eddie will collect dust amongst players rosters.
spending in this event gains me absolutely nothing. I can hit 11/19 milestones with that’s available. Even if I spent a loot coin each day for the bonus points it doesn’t even get me an extra milestone. I also have enough duplicate shards of mediocre posters so wasting money on pulls is of no interest as it’s a net zero gain.
the Eddie tour was scaled extremely high in comparison to previous showdown events too. The tours have received lots of positive feedback in previous events and rightly so but this one is a little off considering not many will have a highly built up Eddie since none of his cards scaled well at 5*.
we definitely preferred the separated grind and spend events which you previously gave us in showdown.
@TheBear41 & @Joel1087 gave approval to share disgust.

i think you guys were too busy focusing on the grand tournament that you guys forgot about the showdown event, and just put in what ever requirements were needed and of course spend a fortune on a rubbish character.
All in this event shouldn’t be worth anyones time!!

The tour was scaled way too high having Rey with both gears was ridiculous and way too hard for what's given. The event is unmaxable unless you spend a tremendous amount of money and it's not worth it based on the fact the "LWO" Eddie is a SB and not that great even if he was a unicorn you guys put this event behinfld such a ridiculous high paywall the previous ones were set behind paywalls as well and though I understand you guys want to continuously find ways to get more money from the players you really can throw a couple weekend events in the month that are maxable without spending money just to keep the moral up in the community. This is definitely a huge disappointment for the community. Even if some of the really big spenders spend just cause they can I just don't see the upside this seriously needs to be rethought and evaluated to fix

So… do you people just sit around the office playing the “who can come up with the worst event” game? 550 loot coins to max an event for a tier 3 (at best) Showboat?
You’re already alienating 99% of your players, since you only included the top 16 in this ridiculous tournament, when you could have easily created a bracket for everyone. Now we follow with this event.

Stinks! One word I would use to describe the mens bathroom at any Walmart and this particular event! The rewards don’t justify the time needed to hit milestones. Also this month, every single event saw increases in resources (I.e coin event, TP, Etc.) needed. The weekend events in the past help replenish resources especially for those free to play or pick their spots to spend. The game is slowly turning into something that only consistent spenders should play.

Maxed the tour out with a required character... Except for the last 2 nodes in hell (used a different than required character)
Nice,... Got to milestone 5 of 19!
Now how to progress??
100000pts for talenting up 2500 levels of showboats.... won't even get me a milestone further.
Nor wil the +/- 22k showdown coins I won in the daily showdown....
ONLY 1 OPTION,...BUY those specific coins yesterday lol,...they even loose value in time.
And even that won't get me halfway the milestones...duh!

Solid event with solid character. I would like the solo milestones separate from paid milestones like in a few previous events. Let the spenders compete for great prizes. And allow the free to play players to earn good rewards as well. I’m not a big spender so won’t be getting very deep in the milestones, but I still love the game and will push as far as I can. Hopefully I get Eddie in a bag or from here! Thanks

Free players need not bother.
The normal level characters have way more power than they should. It took a 4*G MDM to beat what should've been an easy Rey. Like everyone said above, rewards are not commensurate with the effort, and forget about spend. If they've done 'balancing' or whatever they call it lately, they need to dial it back. It's ruining the fun for the casual player.
Previous contests were worlds better!
And, what's wrong with the Global Event? It doesn't seem to be tabulating everyone's points!

This showdown is absolutely an embarrassment !! Totally disappointment. Took a major step back from the previous 2 .. it's back to money 💰 grabbing and spending ..
The community event is horrible .. we haven't gotten a community event in a long time and we get one and is stinks.. the milestone is unreachable and disgraceful .. It's also a huge spend event.
I am wondering if you actually listen to the players and members of the community 🤔 .. I'm starting to think NOT !! It's an absolute shame that don't because your miss out on making more money than making us spend . Your taking the fun out of the game with all these cash / money 💰 grabbing events

Again a great character for paid customers.........
Nothing for us..

Event was cool milestones seem kinda hard to reach

milestones way to difficult to reach unlike the past 2 showdowns could of put more wins with Eddie to make milestones easier to reach
The community event is awful.. we dont get these often but when we get one the rewards are generally bad.. but for this event the milestones are unreachable and disgraceful .. It's also a huge spend event.

This event isn’t even worth doing…
showdown used to be manageable, but to reach only HALF of the milestones and the rest being behind a paywall is absolutely absurd.
I get it, business. Need to make money.
But now we just seem to be back to the questionable ethics of contests and your business model.
This contest is further proving that Scopely has made the game a pay to succeed model.
I question your point in even asking for feed back, we give honest feedback of what the playerbase wants out of the game and you do the opposite and or you severely over correct/under correct.
I actually looked forward to the community event and the rewards are abysmal at best

It's becoming very hard to play this game and enjoy it. Anyone outside a top 20 faction can barely max anything. I got lucky and pulled mankind and maxed solo, 2 weeks later its milestone 9 for most people? Seems legit.
The resource increases, apparent loss of resources people need (lowest TP/Token in inventory shows up less when opening bags), the increased milestone targets and for what? A worse version of Shane o Mac?
Zombie Kane, even Dango is better by a country mile.
Scopely is losing touch with its very devoted, very patient players/fan base. Players = Money. Recently, spend bans don't seem like a bad idea. Maybe KsMA were on to something all those months ago.

I think having that ultimate level behind a paywall, however completing everything (except the lWo Eddie showdown) and even buying 1 loot coin for each day, to not even getting half way, is bad, maybe have the time, or top two have to spend to get for it.
Expecting people to spend hundreds or potentially thousands to max a contest, frankly is embarrasing.
Worst contest ever.

As others said. Doing all the events and only getting halfway is the quickest way to get low spenders and f2p folks to not even bother. Normal events I may grab a pack or two this week was easy to say no.
long story short
thanks for encouraging me to save money.

Showdown event where maxing out the showdown coins isn't even worth half of the milestones. Not a good look.
I don't even understand the point of this event. It's not to play showdown, it's not to complete tours. Increasing talent doesn't give enough points to be useful. Apparently it's just to buy loot coins. Well, I'm not willing to pay $3 for loot coins giving out 5 shards at any level.
If these "events" are going to be this blatantly pay to accomplish anything then your non-event-related gameplay content is going to need a whole lot of beefing up because there isn't much there. Seems to me this game has been heavily tilted toward event related content ever since we started the month long contests. Thats not bad in and of itself. But this game seems to be sliding from pay to advance to pay to complete and is now well on its way into pay to do anything useful territory. Thats a bad look.
As far as showdown events go this is easily the worst ever put out. And I say that as someone who struggles to get to the highest level bonus payout.
I'm not even sure why you'd put out an LWO version of eddie. Its not like you're going to be adding any of the rest of them.

Thanksgiving's around the corner, and we're certainly stuffed. And I'm not even talking about the portal event that's basically 'spend 800 dollars'. I'll just say it here, that one looks like it's not worth anyone's time or money.
- I had a bad feeling the moment I had saw the regular/additional split - a fifth of the coins in the total event and 10% of the tP for the total event was in regular rewards. These rewards were incredibly imbalanced, to the point where there was little point doing the event other than just taking what you can get and running. I had already mentioned my concerns off the forum about the grand tournament straps just leaning further into the 'rich get richer' concerns I've always had about the game, but I guess we're doubling down on it. Just a heinous set of rewards, with the only upside being one could at least get half of Eddie's shards. which actually feels higher than usual for these 4SG debut events.
- Tours were tours, but adding 5SS guys and then adding bonus requirements to said matches is not in any way fun. Thank god it was only for a emerald token, I guess.
- Still waiting for that alternative coach to HoF Booker T (and HoF Sting while we're at it). I know it's a lot to ask for to have something resembling an even playing field in this day and age, but a limited time chase character was an unspeakably stupid idea, and his entourage ability being buffed means that I have just barely enough justification to mention it here. And I need to pad out this post because I have nothing else to say because this event's been mostly copy-pasted from the other showdown events this year.

This event is utterly beyond ridiculous. What a blatant and disgusting cash grab. I've maxed the tours, maxed the showdown events and I'm barely halfway and still nowhere near the good prizes that are obsolete these days.
Shame on all of you.
Oh and I'm adding a +1 to the comments about the abysmal and shambolic community event. When I saw there was finally a new community event I got excited. Then I clicked on it, read what the deal was and found myself more disappointed than the last time I tuned into an episode of Raw. And let me tell you, that takes some doing.
Just to add what I liked: literally nothing. I felt this was a massive let down. Unlike most I think new Eddie looks a really solid character, but I never expect to win a character.
To add what I disliked:
The insanely high solo milestones that were impossible to achieve without dropping a LOT of money, the uninspiring community event (due to the awful rewards on offer and the impossible milestones for the community to hit), only two solo tours, a faction event where top 100 factions struggled to achieve anything beyond milestone 2 due to the ridiculously high points required and the lack of means to realistically achieve them.

IGN KuzClaw
Showdown was ok like others, the lack of points on tours was disappointing and maxing bonus characters barely does anything these days. Sadly the game is turning more pay to win.

IGN Alexdiver
one of the worst in recent memory.
less than half the points of last milestone obtainable to most players.
global milestones unrealistic
you don’t have to keep coming up with events to get Ed to spend his money. He will do that anyway
1 -
the event was good the only bad thing is that in order to continue winning more prizes you have to spend more than 700 dollars is exaggerated
2 -
This time around was a real bad showdown event not sure because of the resources or just extra greed
I can understand and can support a 70/30 rewards what I mean with this playing all matches and that exclude the recent released ss like this example lwo Eddie I would say if you can play all the required matches then you should be able to get 70% of the rewards the other 30% I can understand for paid rewards
Also the middle targets was way to high to reached like 3 targets was 500000 to reach which really why as nowhere else it was as such except for the last target that required 1000000 surely it should be as you go higher on targets the scoring should go higher and higher eventually
1 -
The event wasn’t to bad but it could have been better but hopefully the next event is a better one

The tours were definitely scaled too high. Having a 5ss rey for the final milestone was a major knock. I did like the split between the grind and spend portions. I like that the blog states that. Overall decent event.

The event was good and it had good options for earning points, but if the only way to get the other half to max the event is to spend over $1,000 on loots and get major points using the new character, it loses interest.
