Issues with Straps and medals, what's your opinion?

I just noticed an issue regarding equipped straps.
I can't sell an equipped strap without equipping another strap on that character.
When I first try, the pop up message says " remove all medals before selling".
Removing medals cost a bit for what I have now so I tested with another character who was strapped but no medals.
If I can't sell an equipped strap, few ways I see for now are either to equip that character with better strap and sell the current strap( which was not the point of unequipping the strap from the character), or equip the strap you want to sell to another character which can equip the same strap then to equip the new better strap on the 2nd character( which will cost us double amount).
I would prefer to have an unequip button for the straps just like the medals.
Also the pop up message in above situation is totally misleading. Why asking us to remove medals if we can't sell the equipped straps?
Also I don't understand why equipped medals and straps cost us an inventory space.
It should be that they are in the inventory( unused anywhere and take a space) or they are equipped and free up an inventory space.
Inventory space should be similar to warehouse, you can store items there and take items from there to use it somewhere. When items are in used, they are not in inventory.
I would love to hear what's the community opinions on the a.m matter and would appreciate if anyone can help me how to sell equipped straps without costing me an arm and leg.

Great points here. We will pass this feedback to the team as well. Saving strap parts by selling an unwanted belt without removing it first would be a huge benefit

Yea I agree here. It does add up a lot if you want to change the setup or even pass the strap to another on your roster.
Although you do get loads of scrap to do so from belts etc.

that makes no sense, following your logic since you earned those superstars there should also be no cost to equip trainers and no cost to equip coaches and you also earned those superstars so no cost to heal them with HP either why not... it's all about managing resources, a crucial part of any game
