I can’t stand all the perks. It does NOT make the game more enjoyable at all. It’s just a way to make the game more pay to ply which isn’t right. I understand that you need to make money off the game. This isn’t the way to do it by requiring so many coins to max perks and such. It makes the game boring.

I completely agree, perks are have made showdown events almost unplayable.
And the lack of bleed immunity straps as well. Can't play showdown with a socko wall.

the advantages on the gems only give a bad experience to the game !!! what is the advantage of spending to be penalized afterwards !!! horrible !!! please delete that!

Scopely will do nothing about this .. perks are a built-in system to keep the smaller roster or lower end people who play at the lower end .. mainly because they want to keep those in the top factions at the top .. if you think this game will ever be "FAIR" to everyone you're crazy ... I suggest you do with this issue as you have to do with any issue that pop up .. deal with it because it's not going to get better anytime soon

I suggest no defensive perks and more offense perks. That way we can get through the slog of ten plus hour Feuds and showdowns a little faster.

I agree with the other comments as well.
Every player who creates nos of blast gems, pyro gems, row break gems, column break gems, multiply gems, power gems, trap gems etc.; those all r effected because of feud gems generation perks. lots of Month Long Contest chase superstar's damages are effected because of feud gems generation perks. we r chasing superstars in whole month long by using lots of resources, but we can't able to use them in faction feud because of feud gems generation perks.
For Example,
I have earthquake who is able to create 7 blast gems, but because of feud gem generation perk, it creates only 4 blast gems that's really effects earthquake's damage.

Gem generation and reduction perk that comes as a package basically nerfs every kind of special gem. Be it blast gems, pyro gems, snowfall gems, trap gems, column break gems, row break gems, multiply gems, power gems (yet to try it on wild card gems for characters like powerhouse hogan or HOF Ted). The gem generation works on only color gems, i.e., the six color gems we have but the gem reduce perk also reduces generation of special gems with no way of countering this reduction. This has been causing a sense of dissatisfaction through the whole player base. People spend resources the whole month or spend money pulling a character and have fun using his special gems but seeing that get nullified in PVP mode (feud and showdown) is a major buzzkill which needs to addressed immediately.
Instead of the reduction perk "reduce all gem generation by X", if it does "reduce all color gem generation by X" i think we can have a solution to the nerf. Just make the reduction mirror the generation which is "increase all color gem generation by X". Just my opinion though

I’m not a big fan of perks and usually buy them to progress in the solo event and to make my life easier in all aspects of the game at the expense of leveling characters on my roster.
I do believe the perks especially the gem generation defensive feud perk are totally unnecessary with the addition of straps and medals. Not having those straps or medals are, in my opinion, penalty enough to the player.
Games are supposed to be fun, not a time suck for hours to get your faction minimum or to max a solo event.

I completely agree with this frustration.
Special gem creation is intentionally limited on superstars for their power. Row break, column break, cross break, etc are highly limited to 2 or 3 even at the highest levels. By limiting those extra powerful gems, you not only negate the trainers, but you destroy the utility that those gems provide. Special gems ARE NOT equal to normal color gems. You have designed characters to be dependent on those special gems and this perk ruins them.

I'm good with zero perks in feud. I think the only perk that should be offered/paid for is the war score one. Those that want to compete in the leaderboard can have at it. I'm good just trying to get the milestone rewards.

Mp perks arep good but gem reduction is not good as we play this game for enjoyment little bit stress relief but gem reduction will kill everything after portal launch game has been changed so much and helping f2p p2p players thanks for lasting players voice and helping them

I'm pretty much in agreement with the rest of the forum here regarding gem perks. What's the point in making characters like Shelton if the perks ruin him. He just becomes a pointless character to use. Same as Acro Hhh. Was great fun to use then perks changed that. Sort this mess out. Ta

Perks are getting out of hand. Maybe reduce them all to 3 levels. The defensive gem perk is killing the fun out of feud/SD. Characters are so overpowered these days( I.e. Socko, which is somewhat dealable under normal conditions) that the negative perk makes it impossible to get by. The -gem is making the new guys with special gems basically useless for these tournaments. Please rework, evaluate and scale back the idea of perks.

If you insist on keeping a gem reducing perk that basically makes certain characters unplayable in feuds and showdown, you should also build reducing perks for other abilities, such as bleed and stun, and rotate them every month. At least that way, all characters will be usable at some point. And the meta would be less stagnant, with the same socko's and zombies over and over, when it's their turn to be nerfed for the month.

There shouldn’t be any perk in PvP gamemode (Feud and Showdown) at all.

Keep the current system of MP perks for PvP (which is really what differentiates feud from showdown, and roster decisions have been made with this in mind), but do away with PvP +/- gem perks entirely. At the very least, apply the same rules to all gems equally. Acro Shelton is a great card and was chased by much of the community, but he's borderline unplayble in feuds since both his pyro and multiply generation is curtailed. It's frustrating as a player to immediately discount entire categories of cards based on their lack of effectiveness under perks.

I put this in every survey...perks ruin the game. I know a lot of people use them and since we use them the interpretation is that we "like" them. I dont think that's the case. I think they primarily are used because that grants MLC points. Take that away and see how popular they are.
But I may be in the minority on that view.
I still agree with others here that have said the perks should not apply in feud and showdown. But if it has to be all or none, my vote is for none. Get rid of them and get rid of the idle timer.

Although we purchase these perks regularly, these perks seem to devalue characters with special gems. There are some types of gems such as pyro and snowfall that currently don't have trainers to counter act the perk. I would even settle for the idea that the perk reduced training ability on special gems but just reducing them altogether feels wrong if there's no way to counter it for offense

Having this perk without a counter devalues a lot of characters that you guys put out. We either need to get rid of this perk or add a counter.

I personally feel that perks should be done away with altogether... It is obvious that Scopely uses them to force us to spend millions of coins a month on something that isn't advancing our roster, because if we don't spend for the perks feud and Showdown are unplayable. We shouldn't have to waste our resources just to be able to play an event.

I vote in favor of eliminating perks for all PvP matches. Perks for Blitzes and Tours make sense as this allows more opportunity for people with lower rosters levels to make a little bit of progress. I think it’s a huge waste for all PvP matches because it puts everyone at a disadvantage and, frankly, reduces the “fun” and competitive nature of the matches.

The issue is that at the final perk level, ALL gem generation is reduced by 3, not just color gems. So if you have a wrestler than relies on creating leech gems, or protect gems, or snowfall/pyro gems, or multiply gems, or whatever, then they get that number reduced by 3 and there is no way to bump it back up without a trainer/coach. For snowfall/pyro/leech/juggernaut gems, there is no trainer or coach so that wrestler's effectiveness is greatly reduced or nullified altogether.

Maybe I didn't notice because I was using Naomi the final feud & her moves are area moves.

The reinforce is area but the convert to yellow isn't. So if you didn't buy the generate perk naomi can end up not making 3 gems and becoming useless. Not as bad as guys like snoop, bayley, and shelton but it's pretty annoying especially if there's an early feud and you haven't bought all the perks yet.
Regarding this topic. The gem generation perk hamstrings some otherwise great characters. Currently there are 3 main "meta" uses for characters stipulation, feud, showdown. SD characters need to be low charge because of - mp perks. You can kinda get around with great tag links but in most contests you're not going to have access to those links so low 1/2 charge moves only. Feud you can do higher charge moves but you can't use characters that generate special gems because the gem generation perk will hit them hard. Exceptions for the silence protect and immobile perk which offsets but no way to offset x, row, column, pyro, and snowfall gems so amazing characters get removed from use in feuds and only see use when you're forced by contests and even then you're usually targeting much lower rarity so the fact you can't do your normal set up doesn't impact you. Finally you have stipulation characters which require a lot of gem generation such as blue from shelton and recycling ability. When you release a character like cena who is impacted by feud perks, doesn't recycle and doesn't have cheap move charge you're releasing essentially a useless character. Cena could be fixed by adding a plate to recycle making him useful in stipulation and kinda useful for clearing trash in feud but I doubt that was the thought behind releasing him. With this month focused on snoop again I'm dreading yet another month of making 1 pyro gem even with the perk adding 2 those disappear. Love it when you release characters like bayley that would be the best female powerhouse but instead is trainer only because all of her movesets are destroyed in feud and her charge is too high for showdown. It's almost like the game designers aren't aware of the meta or what the other teams are doing. Otherwise I'd expect a lot more area genration characters like AFA rather than choose like shelton and snoop.

Gem degeneration perk is a absolute trash perk to have. It'd be more beneficial if it was a tour perk or something like that as it will help the Player get further with lower superstars.
This would be very beneficial especially with regards to this month as your bonus characters, one in mind... corporate HHH is a joke. And such perks being left only in tours would benefit way more.
I understand though if it helps players out in anyway it is usually shunned. But here's to change

These perks simply make the game less fun. Feud is a huge time investment, so why not allow players to have fun participating?
On top of this, players have invested in characters who are completely nerfed by these 'perks'. It takes 50m coins and 9k TP to take someone to 5-star silver, and then they become unusable because of the gem degeneration perk. Considering the money spent to acquire some of these characters, I think that's it's really unfair to nerf them.
I'd like to suggest that the warscore perks be removed completely at this point too. The past 2 feuds have now been heavily tainted by these warscore perks. Just remove these unbalanced scoring methods from the competitive game modes/contests.
