Leaderboard boxes auto opening .

Why on earth did you close a discussion before explanation or resolution? I posted in tech support about no payout for faction feud leader boards.


I get a snippy response from a moderator about leaderboard boxes auto opening. When things auto open, at any point else in the game we get a visual prompt of what we got. This time we did not.


Regardless my discussion is closed in 15-20 minutes without a suitable answer or a chance to ask any further questions.

As of now 100 members in a faction didn't get anything new, or can't locate any new shards, and you're telling us it paid out.


On a side note,

Where is the thread that says faction leaderboard rewards auto open? This would have been more helpful then just matter of fact response like we're all inside scopelys head and stupid end users for asking technical questions, in the appropriate forum, and being told it's not technical nor a bug.

Wtf did we get? There was no box opening, no shards showing, and now you want us to siphon through 200+ rosters to find the shards that fell into our inventory?


If I did this at my job, I'd be fired. This is not customer service, nor is it support. It's basically a giant F U and STFU dumb end user.

Looking forward to your kind and constructive response. I cant be the only one miffed over this.


As a suggestion, maybe post something standard on your support wall explaining this to your community.

    While personally I got no issue with the auto open, (saves me clicking open on em all in my inventory) where milestones show us what we get, leaderboard rewards don't, please can you address this

    Either show us what we get from leaderboard rewards like milestones do, eg the feud shard chest we just got and I have no idea what shards I got

    Or go back to the old school way n drop it in our inventory

    Either way I don't care which just wanna know what I get without either searching through my roster trying to remember what I had or sending a ticket

    Yeah, this is not fun. Searching through my roster guessing my rewards and/or opening a support ticket is not ideal.

    Auto-opening also caused the community event to fail this weekend because the bags didn't count for the event.

    Whole heartedly agree - Auto-opening is a nice idea, but as we tend to get lots of other token and TP packs from other sources anyway it isn't really that useful. And having absolutely no idea what I have received is even worse which is what happened here.

    A member in my faction received an actual kind response.

    Kudos to the support team member who treated him like a human being.

    This is something that I definitely don't like about this recent updates. I don't care if the rewards are pre-determined since the moment you open the bad but I want to see what I get and not being able to see it feels ( and seems) like a scam. I will stand behind this until its fixed.

    The last 4 Faction events I never get these unclaimed rewards ... I got Nothing from the Flash feuds Faction milestone rewards.. they say stuff is auto opened but nothing is added to my account.. Let us open our own stuff. I am not playing anymore if this continues

    I have the same issue. It doesn't show us what we get from them after clicking on claim button. Plz let us open our bag or rewards ourselves. If it didn't fix then I will not be playing this game anymore

    I've messaged their support team 2 times about it! Both times I've got stupid auto response about that all rewards were sent directly to my inventory. And I don't see anything added to my inventory. This bullshit has to stop! You either go back to the old system or fix that crap and let us see what we get!

    Also I once again realised that scopely support team is worthless and just not willing to do anything...

    You and everybody gets the rewards. The rewards open automatically they don't go to your inventory as cases they go as opened items.

    Considering there is history with users legitimately not receiving things they're supposed to, I just don't see the "trust us, you got it" response as being good enough.

    Tell us what we got. Is it a big task? Yes it is. But there just isn't enough good will to trade on.

    Considering a large quantity of the player base cannot locate ANYTHING “received” from these auto-opened rewards, this should be one time where Scopely takes it on the chin, admits there was an issue, and issue the unopened rewards again for all players. Yes they lose out on selling us $30 worth of unknown (likely duplicate) shards. However, it allows players to have confidence in the product and does not feel like they have been slighted. Quality Customer service begins and ends with the key factor... customers.

    Sorry, but this is stupid and needs to be changed. We work our asses off for what amount to very meager rewards, more often than not. As was said, trust us, you got "x" isn't good enough.

    I, for one, could not guess for a million dollars wtf I got from the feud chest. I looked through the entire roster screen and I have no idea what I got.

    The auto-open feature feedback has been shared with the team. There are some players that prefer this method. If you have others that prefer the items go to inventory to be opened please encourage them to continue providing Feedback in this thread. As @Stagger Lee pointed out these do auto-open and go to your inventory so unless you keep track of every token and shard its difficult to see what was earned.

    Man, just listen to yourself! You say "some" players prefer this method and immediately say "unless you keep track of every token and shard..." Please, point me that crazy person who keeps track of every token and shard of a 200+ roster! Just use a common logic here! Noone wants to get something he can not even identify what it was and where is it... Also what are the PROs for that new method?

    How is it that we were all able to obtain the correct number of Ted DiBiase shards that we should have gotten from his recent shard bag for him but we cannot be told what we got from this shard bag?

    If there is a community split on how certain players how this mechanic works... why not allow an option in settings for a player to set if they want their rewards to auto-open or go into their inventory which can be open later.


    This way you can satisfy both parties??

    Because that's a significant amount of time needed to adjust the current system just to change something that is relatively minor impact. It would be more likely to be seen down the road in the next major UI update rather than an adjustment to the current one.

    I'll add my name to the list that doesn't like it. It doesn't feel like it's intentional sometimes, which is the frustrating part. The milestone rewards for the monthlong event open automatically, and you immediately see what you get. For other things, you see a case or token bag, and sometimes you find them in inventory, other times you don't. For the times you don't, the answer is always 'trust us, you got what you were supposed to get'.

    All I would ask for is consistency. If the answer is that everything is going to auto-open, then do it like the milestone rewards where you see your tokens/coins/whatever. Seems like it would cut down on a lot of support tickets too.

    @Stagger Lee @DKMangler @Firpo my issue isn't with the auto open, I like it saves them all building up in my inventory and having to click extra buttons, my issue here is with event leader board rewards, you get a flash on screen of what you get and if the rewards are coins or contest points great they get added. However if there are any prize bags or token bags they are auto opened and we don't then get another pop up telling us what we got. I think most if not all that have shown dissatisfaction on this thread would be happy with the auto open if we see what we get, like we do when we are claiming milestone rewards. But sadly after showing us rewards it then goes to event ended info eg. where you ranked. I wouldn't mind an extra screen just to show me what was in said bags. Because not everyone knows exactly how many shards they have for everyone or how many TP of each colour they have

    They refused to tell me. Its a known limitation, you're telling us there is no solution, but then you're actively denying the only means we have to get an answer.

    Support can tell you. No direction that I'm aware of for them to not tell you. I've had no issues requesting that personally so it maybe the support person you're speaking to specifically.

    Their response to me was "due to the volume of requests we cannot respond individually". It was lengthy and obviously pre-preppared. In the past, they had always been very helpful if the graphic didn't load, etc. But those were one off situations and this particular incident was obviously very different. Maybe I'll try asking again now.
