Spring outbreak 3: Demigods feedback thread

The problem for me is i dont wish to waste resources on my crappy Zbanks or Zowens just to get curb stomped in 1 move by a ridiculously OP Zbryan/Zasuka

Pro:

1 - Buying coins for the loot wasn't super expensive in the first couple of days if you take advantage of the offers, but still 2€ per coin isn't exactly cheap specially with the odds of pulling anything worthwhile;

2 - Having hell boss at 10k is helpful.

Cons:

1 - in the conteste page it reads "We got you covered! CLAIM Sasha Banks “Legit Dead Boss” AND AJ Styles “The Possessed One” at 2-Star Gold directly in the Solo and Faction Contest Overview." and then you go and make the normal boss nearly 6k... that is not having anyone covered;

2 - at 2€ a pop and that being a special offer the odds should be way better than they actually are;

3 - How about making hell mode actually achievable? Making the rarest characters a necessity in those isn't exactly fair play, specially with the odds in pack not being favourable to pulling them.

4 - it wouldn't kill you to at least remove some of the common characteres (zAJ, zNakamura and so on) from the bag in the event reward or at least give equal odds of pulling any of them.

22 guilds are on pace to get the top award and there's still folks running to defend their buddies. Its a bad event. Most of the midweek contests have been bad events. In the past they relied on you having rare characters now its highly developed useless characters. Its great there's some good rewards but the vast majority won't get mid tier so who cares. Events should be accesable to all at normal level. F2P grinders should be able to do some damage at Hard and Hell should be for the more committed. Anything else is as useless as a victory tour.

Nowadays, faction contests doesn't have good rewards, but it is better. Getting Zombie Daniel Bryan by working together is really awesome. Hope you guys provide some superstars poster in such events in the future.

Seen some justifications for this event, and I'll be real, I don't buy a single one.

• I'll start with the good - the gears are really excellent looking. Like, I cannot give the team who did them up enough credit, they all look great. That's the end of the good (for the most part).
• When I first saw this event, I immediately thought "Oh boy, I get to not obtain these gears for a bunch of characters I don't have." Not a great start, in my opinion, and it set up the event as something for a very select few. Thankfully, the gears weren't broken or anything, so at least getting stomped by zHHHs isn't going to be that much worse of an experience than it already is.
• The event requires ownership of pretty much every zombie to complete. I guess if you're gunning for a gear for zHHH, you're already one of whose psychos who owns like 95% of the characters, so I guess the shoe fits, but already I didn't have high hopes. The event rewards are, again, fine - once again most of the rewards are backloaded so if you aren't going the distance enjoy the scraps. At least there's the bags, which have pretty much all given me zSeth, so I can't say I walked away from this event with nothing character-wise.
• Tours are... probably not as bad as I'm thinking they are, but they're not particularly fun either. It really shows how much power creep is in the game when somebody like zKO can get just demolished by zBryan in 1 turn despite a talent advantage. People say that tours are surprisingly open if you take advantage of straps, but people seem to be forgetting just how expensive it is to update medals and straps in order to smurf your way through a 4 star fight with a 3SB/3SS, and usually a pretty underwhelming 3SB/3SS character who will get zero use outside of this event (and maybe October) as well. But I guess that's on me for not having 500k strap parts and a million in medal parts, and the straps on hand to slap on a dozen C- characters.
• Factions can get zBryan for clearing so much of the event collectively. Supposedly it's 'easy', despite only a few dozen doing so. I don't care. I may or may not have said this before, but I don't usually account for faction portions of events in my feedbacks because the idea of being in a faction that's able to complete these events sounds like a miserable experience of downloading six different chat apps, getting bossed around by some rando, and turning this game into a full-time job. All this is, in my eyes, is a way for the higher factions to get even more of an edge over the other people to the detriment for a large majority of the community - I disliked it when this happened with X-Pac all those years ago, and I dislike it now.
• Offers were both terrible and one of the saving graces of the event. Some things like the zCena + zAustin gear set and being able to buy certain posters (namely, zAustin who is still useful despite powercreep) is pretty nice. Loots, on the other hand, felt like dud city. It really is easy to forget how many middling to outright useless zombie characters they are until you see them roll out one after another. In an entire week's worth of pulls I think I saw 2 or 3 worthwhile pulls throughout my entire faction, and otherwise it was just zBalors, zHardys, and zSeths all the way down.

I must agree on the fact that this event only fancies developed rosters. You first of all (again) require some specific superstars, but now also need zombies of 3*s just to clear normal mode (in order to at least advance/benefit somewhat)

I have 7 zombies, only Nakamura higher than 3*s so I waited until he came along to be able to grab the first bag!

Boy, was I glad, I noticed all my faction members receive toptier zombies like Austin, Seth, Reigns, Paige,..."my time was now".........…... ............. to get a 2*b Owens dupe!

They said it's for deciding the leaderboard rank. Not sure many people will be chasing those leaderboard places though.

Just chiming in to say that I really love the "just smurf your way through with straps".

For that you need:

a) a fitting move dmg medal at high level (this should be the easiest part for most, because frankly, everyone should be trying to get these (and have them levelled).

b) fitting straps for the characters (plural) in question. I'm still lacking some legendary straps for even some of my 5s guys, since getting specific straps is highly annoying but sure, let's just assume that we all have straps ready for the trash tier zombies.

c) and my favorite part: you need to unlock slot 3 on your belt which is fucking random (because of course it is). So, you either start unlocking slots on rare straps (which is insanity), then it's 4.5k strap parts at most, or you use only epic/legendary straps and then we can walk into quintuple digit costs - even if I wanted to, I wouldn't have the thousands of parts lying around, when even some of my top guys and gals are still missing strap slots.

All on all it's just such a dishonest argument. Yeah. It's possible. No, it's bloody unrealistic to strap out all the trash zombies to cheese your way through the event, unless you can use one of the rarest, most expensive resources on frigging Zombie Sasha and AJ because you simply don't know anymore what to do with your resources...

Doing this with legendary straps would be madness. You need a rare strap which only costs 4.5k to fully unlock. They’ve given out rare zombie straps and rare universal straps in the past and they only cost 1.2k to move.

All opponents are at 3 star and I'm at 2 star .. unfair

Couldn't even pull a descent Zombie...normal mode was to high as was hard mode ...could not do much due to lack of required ss ...
