Showdown. If it ain't broke don't fix it!
This showdown is just terrible. Going all the way back to the initial revamp you guys have managed to make showdown less and less appealing to average, casual, new and F2P players.
If you want to cater to whales and try hards by all means please do but you have to have an open option for us players with rosters that aren't capable of competing with these absurd requirements in place.
Showdown used to be my favorite aspect of the game, now if I'm lucky I get to really enjoy it for 24 hours out of an entire month, please don't take that away as well.

I think your statement is to say "if I can do it why can't everyone else"? If that was your intent then you have completely missed my point.
I'm not asking that they not run their game the way they see fit. I'm suggesting a compromise that would allow every player the ability to play showdown in an unrestricted fashion. Obviously rewards would be nerfed for those choosing to play that style or forced to play that style in my case.
I'm happy that you were able to do so well with the restrictions in place but there's a rather large portion of us who are not having fun with this, and the basic premise of any game is to have fun, not to be so frustrated that we feel the need to make a forum post about it.
Thank you for your opinion and I hope you get all the rewards.

Listen I in no way am trying to argue with you or anyone else, especially on the internet. When I see someone quote someone without using the entire quote just to fit your opinion and narrative it null and voids any argument you have.
I know that you and others were able to run the showdown with minimal frustration or none at all and that's great. I personally feel showdown is in a bad place since it's revamp and that this past showdown felt way more chore than hobby/entertainment which only adds to the frustration.
I see no reason why a compromise can't be met that makes all players feel like they have a chance to max an event from the begining rather than knowing we can only get so far before we're either paywalled or just flat out incapable of maxing due to restrictions put in place.
Showdown should be all about the grind and besting the defence set by your opponents. We shouldn't have to get snakebit by a changing lineup when we're in a groove paying attention to notoriety expecting your lineup to be set, especially since energy has been given a real world value making each one count more than ever.
I like many others just want the best for the most players. I don't believe this showdown represented that.

I agree with everyone here on both sides. I completed it but it was a chore. It was nice that a character most people naturally evolved worked but we will see if that happens in the future. On the flip side we also ran into a lot of people who also had him evolved so it was a bit of a pain. More grindy than usual.

Why do they insist on fluffing with stuffing. Now at intercontinental league the requirement is an attitude era powerhouse and the second spot needs to be an attitude era. Scopely is single handle ruining this mode. The requirements should not be this restricted.

Completely agree with you. While I understand that they are trying to give showdown new and interesting twists they are completely missing the mark and frustrating more of the community instead of keeping us engaged and excited. Again all they had to do was fix the freaking store and the majority of us would be happy right now.

You guys seriously need to change the showdown requirements. The requirements at some of these level is just ridiculous. I have to have a tech attitude era in the first slot of offensive and a attitude era in the second slot on offensive is way way to restrictive. You guys have a real knack for taking something that used to be fun to play and just completely screw it up. It was much more fun to play when I was more open on characters and not super restricted like it I now. With the fact that the showdown store is absolutely crap now this is seriously a mode that is not even worth playing.

Once again Showdown was a complete wet fart. I couldn't enjoy it at all until they pulled the trial character as I had no one capable of going toe to toe with "HIM".
I see people voicing their displeasure with SD mode on Facebook, X etc. I wish those people would come here to the forums where I feel their voices have a chance of being heard.

These changes were based on feedback from surveys and contests.

I dunno who was feedbacking it, but these requirements have made showdown less appealing.
