Why is the ai so dumb on auto?

Seriously so I'm using honky and when on auto it'll use my arrow sig which I'm happy it uses but it then swipes some gems every time.

I have another sig bar full which would then fill up my finisher bar but the ai never puts the line down on the arrows which would clear the board giving more points it'll go somewhere randomly just to make a worthless star.

Why don't they fix it or program it better?

The intent isn't for it to be used in more difficult content simply to make the basic stuff easier. It's not intended to be good or work the same as showdown ai.

Your best bet is to only use auto when your character can one turn the cpu. If there is any strategy, or nuance to running someone a particular way, auto isn't going to do it most of the time.
