Playstyle

As Pete Dunne reaches higher rarities, he will learn more reliable moves to control the board and lay down serious damage. He does not look special but look away for one turn and you will regret it.

Notable Combos

  1. Vintage / German Suplex / Bite

Trainer 1: Cesaro

Trainer 2: Bray Wyatt "The Eater of Worlds"

Prioritize Black. Use German Suplex move to fill the 2 other Green Moves but do not go all the way, leave some green gems left on the board (preferably not ending your turn too). Spawn Silence Gems on the green using Vintage and turn those into Blast with Bite. Make a match to blow the Blast off. This should fill you with Green MP if everything is right.

Since Bite is not available until 5SB, its only counterpart is Sitout Powerbomb which generates more Silence Gems randomly. It is not recommended to follow this route up until you've reached 5star rarity.

Weak Against

  • Superstars that have high gem damage.

Strong Against

  • Superstars that have low to medium HP pools.

2. X-Plex / German Suplex / Pedigree

Trainer 1: Matt Hardy "Hardy Boyz"

Trainer 2: Cesaro

MP trainer like Jerry Lawler is acceptable. However both of the Blue moves are relatively low MP cost, you should consider using a MP coach to fill in the gap. For example, Andre The Giant in this case. Recycling, therefore, is not a big issue too. We'll use X-Plex to fill German Suplex then create an array of Green gems which should be collapsed with 1 single match. Strengthen those Green with Multiply modifier from Pedigree before going off.

This moveset can be considered a variation of Slick Ric's. While limited in quantity, the gems can still output a respectable amount of damage, thanks to the high base stat.

Weak Against

  • Superstars that have high gem damage.
  • Superstars that have submission moves.

Strong Against

  • Superstars that have low to medium HP pools.
