This was a Copy and paste event with a hint of more predatory odds. I’m Not a fan of the direction that the game is heading. Didn’t spend as much as usual after getting raped on the premium pulls prior to this event starting. I’m being more careful with my in app purchases going forward as I have lost any trust that I had with this developer.

I have a question for the Developers and the WWE Champions Community.

Are the Showdown Scrimmage Medallions be accumulated for future Showdown Scrimmages?

I am in two minds as to whether I redeem them or not, so any feedback in this regard is appreciated.

    Thanks, Kman101

Wow. this is cool. i don't think I've ever won anything from the forums before. Will be interesting to see how and when he ends up in my inventory.

@Kman101 the medallions do not stack up, it’s only for this contest.

This is good to know. I'm sure there will be tons of people that won't get this information. If I didn't scroll by I would not have known. (For context, Guersan had said-with a disclaimer - that Scopely may have these shards carry over when revealing the blog.) Unless you automatically spend them immediately some may hold onto them.

What’s up a champions community, let me start by saying I don’t fill these out to often but it’s time I think I add my opinion to these events.

I discussed the event on my podcast today. First I’ll start with the character that was released. Yet again his own skill plate which he MUST have to be anywhere near decent. It’s getting absolutely crazy the amount of skill played flooding the game. Just like HOF characters, Skill Plates used to be special. Hard to get , had to work for them and we had a dozen at the most. All of which made plenty sense for the roster. Now we have to spend crazy amounts of money to come within a slight chance of acquiring any new skill plate. HOF characters used to be special to. We would get a chance at pulling them once every month or so. The few that where out where actually good. Now we have so many in the pulls on a weekly basis and we have so many that are just awful cards. If it wasn’t for most of there coach or training ability HOF would be a total waste of time now.

now the milestones and prize wall for the event was as usual a arm and a leg to come anywhere near finishing. The superstars required yet old cards still among the rare which the majority of the community doesn’t have. It’s becoming more and more points to get anywhere close to the top of the prizes. Same thing has happened with FF as of late. The amount of points for first time win pretty much cut in half and amount of points needed to max has jumped up a good amount to. 99% of the community doesn’t get the weekend characters and 99% of us come nowhere near “maxing a event “ the amount of money needed to just take care of basic needs on a weekly and monthly basis are becoming way to much.

look at the weekly Hogan Event 99.9% of get more than the first milestone and it’s pointless having a prize wall the same 200 people as usual will get to pick stuff off of.

this community is one of the loyalist and are treated the worst. We spend a lot of money on this game on a daily basis. It would be nice if our rewards started to show it.

one thing that was nice this weekend we got a shot at shards for recent characters. That is a nice feature but again you have to spend a lot to acquire enough coins to do anything decent. I feel like the prizes we get are barely prizes and just something to say oh look we are giving you more. This game has been going downhill for a while and waaaaay up hill in price. Hopefully we can start getting a much higher chance at these superstars that get released every week. We are one community that deserve it.

    Hi PacMan,

I didn't think you could save them up! The reason for my question is because of the use of a generic term "Showdown Scrimmage Medallions" instead of a specific term such as "Bloodline Showdown Scrimmage Medallion". It just got me into thinking that it's entirely possible that they could be saved up; not that I am complaining if I get to spend up the 15K of medallions I grinded for right now. It could have been a fantastic gesture from Scopely if they allowed it (maybe the feedback/suggestion might be great for future showdowns?), but I digress... so, a huge "Thank you" for clarifying it as quickly as you did.

    Cheers, Kman101

Yw, I totally get what your saying, but since there is always a tag line associated with the scrimmages, the graphics on it changes, but it’s something to pass on to the team. Ty for your feedback.

Not a bad event as SD goes. But i think your blog needs more details and you need to be more open about the event.

Nice move on increasing showdown abit with extra SD coins

    Overall rating 8/10

Game getting more and more difficult without proper compensation for the players:

    • Stronger opponents than last Showdown events
    • 1400 only possible if we play for 11-12 hours, except for the strongest players
    • Milestones not achievable

Plus, the new Uso, who in his other incarnation is in the family, does no longer belong to the family.

summary: I hated it. It destroyed the fun.

Positive change from previous showdown events.

The change in league scale and sd coins earned from the top league was a fantastic addition.

Was able to achieve the second up last milestone by simply grinding out coins and having my faction max the event. Milestones rewards were balanced and generous. Also, the shard bags for legacy members helped multiple faction members recruit new cards!

Lastly, the prizewall was fantastic! After clearing the coins and belts I was able to get shards for a couple of cards I was missing. Having recent and relevant cards on the wall is always ideal.
