Ability to buy needed superstars

In trying to finish The Road, there are some superstars that are required that I don’t have. I’d like to be able to purchase them to continue moving forward.

    i have found getting the correct stars or leveling up certain stars is very slow to finish road matches.

    I miss being able to use the game cash to buy loot drops. Why was that remove?
