When can I cash in my old inventory items for something?

Honestly, I dont want to trade it in for a wrestler. Obviously that's how scopely makes their money. But what about gold, or tokens or some sort of resource? That would be amazing.

I have read that Scopely are planning to "buy" those inventory items like they did last year for coins.

They usually seem to do an old inventory trade in around end of November to mid December at least if last year repeats itself.
